Once you have your stockpile built weekly shopping becomes very easy.  Rarely do we make a huge trip, instead we go out for maybe 4 or 5 items just so we stay stocked on those things.  A good reminder here, is that you only need enough in our stockpile for 6 weeks.  For most of us that means buying 2-5 items to get you through to the next sale.

This week there were only a few tings that we needed that were on sale.  I went to Publix for ketchup and Vitatop muffins.

Publix:
Total before sales and coupons:  $56.89
Total Spent: $16.05
Total Saved: $40.84 or 71.2%

I grabbed a few of the “free+profit” items to bring down the cost of my other items, plus everything in the buggy was B1G1 or free.  Makes it easy to save when you don’t need anything and can wait for the right time and the right price.
