We had a fun night tonight of getting tons of stuff at both Publix and Bi-Lo.  I had hoped to take a picture for you, but by the time we got home in a huge downpour it was the last thing on my mind.  I was pleasantly surprised to find everything in stock in both stores (even the freebies!).  If you don’t have a favorite shopping day already, I would highly recommend Friday night too, every thing is so quiet.

Pubix:
Total before sales and coupons: $187.90
Total Spent: $60.69
Total Saved: $127.21 or 68%

Bi-Lo:
Total before sales and coupons: $158.81
Total Spent: $50.02
Total Saved: $108.79 or 69%

Weekly Total:
Total before sales and coupons: $346.71
Total Spent: $110.71
Total Saved: $236 or 68%

We’ve been so busy lately that this was really almost three weeks worth of groceries.  It included $30 in meat and $8 in fruit. I also paid with a gift card that we got recently, so all in all we paid maybe $10 and that’s pretty awesome!

    Our Winn Dixie has Community Coffee(12 oz) for $3.99 w/card. There is a $2.00 peelie on most bags bringing the price down to $1.99! My freezer is packed!

    Soo jealous of 68%, Jenny!  I can hold my head up high with 48% at the grocery store and 93% at CVS, though, I suppose.  :)

    Way to go Jenny! I too like going shopping at night. I just did my shopping at Publix and saved 56%! Not bad for just my 2nd time. I also went to Walgreens and got over $80 of stuff I really needed for just over $20!!! I am so excited! You have truely been a blessing to me!

    I went to ingles my total was $150.00.  Then with my ingles card and coupons I ended up spending only 50.00 not bad for my first time :)

    I shopped tonight also, it was quiet and I liked it but everything that was on sale I needed/wanted was out of stock at Publix on Hardscrabble.  I asked an employee if he would check in the back for me but they were out in the back also…produce that was on sale, Red Bull, etc….

      Trust me , it gets easier. I started a year ago and was very over whelmed, not its second nature. and it didnt take the whole year to get used to it :)

    I just wanted to let everyone know that ingles has earth's best organic baby food buy one get one free. That would make it 82 cent for the one you have to pay for. Then you could go onto earth's best website and get a coupon for 1.00 off seven. So you would end up paying 2.28 for 8 cans.

    I've only recently started to really coupon. This past Thursday was my first real coupon shopping trips. I went to Bilo and paid $72 and saved $111. I almost had a heart attack when I saw the total was $180 something before coupons and card. At Walgreens I spent $14 and some change oop and ended up with $15 RR. I could really get used to this couponing thing.

    I'm so happy after my trip to Bi-Lo tonight! I'm having a cookout for my family this weekend and there will be about 20 people there. I was able to get 16 hamburgers, 32 hot dogs, enough hamburger buns and hot dog buns, 2 bottles of mustard, 2 bottles of ketchup,  6 bags of chips, liter fluid for the grill, 2 bags of charcol,  and some seasonings all for about 30.00!! I was super excited! lol

    I went to CVS, Publix, RiteAid, and Walgreens this week.  Bought $229.29 worth of stuff for $89.35 (less the $64.50 I received back in ECBs, +UPs, and RR).  Makes it a savings of 89% this week!

    Accounting for Register Rewards, Extra Care bucks my total savings were 222.00 and I paid out a total of 86.00 cash.

    Went shopping today and got $200 worth of clothes (brand new, including designer jeans!) for $20! I've always been good saving on retail, now if I can bring up my grocery savings, I'm only at about 50-60% savings right now.

    Still need to do my CVS and WAGS run tomorrow, and I hope to save just as much!! :)

    I saved 43% at Publix, which is pretty good for me :)
    I bought $134.37 worth of groceries
    Paid $83.71 ($6.88 tax)
    Saved $57.54!

    I'm slowly inching towards my goal of 50%… the bogo and publix coupons really helped! Not bad for only doing this for a month :)

      oh, and I got $10 worth of ribs and $10 worth of beer, haha. Yay for memorial day weekend! I would've had a better deal if I didn't get the beer. I had a coupon for the meat :)

    I am loving the sales this week. I have yet to hit my Albertsons but I know its going to be awesome. I bought 20 bottles of ketchup for less than $15. I did grrrrreat!

    At Publix this week, I spent $12.52 and saved $55.53.  I would have saved $2.50 more but they stopped taking Target coupons at this particular Publix.  I love, love love being able to use two coupons for BOGO items.
    A side note I noticed with CVS.  I have been buying BOGO Sobe for the $10 gas card with $30 purchase.  Both Sobes counted towards the $30 total, but only one Sobe counted towards me being able to use my $5 off $25 coupon.

      I bought 4 Tombstone pizzas, 2 Yoplait yogurts, 2 Yoplait Gogurts, 2 boxes of Italian ice, 2 International Delights creamers, two Lloyds' barbecues, 2 Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, 2 packages of Oscar Meyer hot dogs and 1 package of Oscar Mayers bacon bits. First, I had a $10 off $40 coupon from Sweetbay that this Publix accepts as a competitor.  I had coupons for the yogurt (Publix and manufacturer), coupons for the barbecue, the barbecue sauce, the Italian ices and the hot dogs).  I had free pizza coupons from the Hasbro game purchase.  I had additional yogurt coupons and a bacon coupon from Target that they would not accept because there isn't one around, but they used to take them.

    I just do not understand why some people 'feel' the need to purchase dozens of an item just because they have the coupons on hand. I watched a lady literally clear off every item of a product from the grocer shelf just because she had that many coupons and saying to those of us observing, “This is just such a great deal.” Well, her self-centered 'pigishness' caused several of us not to get the item. Sad.

    I am new at this couponing and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if you have a coupon on a product at CVS and you also have ECB to spend can you do this?

      Yes ECB do not attatch to certain products like at Walgreens..The ECB are more like money..

    The best deal by far was the Dr Pepper 12 packs..

    Went to Bi-Lo and Food Lion this morning. At
    Bi-Lo, before was $63.53, after was $33.05 with a savings of $30.48 plus
    now have Fuel Perks of $1.80 for 48% savings. At Food Lion, before was
    $70.55, after was $38.46 with a savings of $32.09 for 45% savings. Overall before was $134.08, after was $71.51 with a savings of $62.57 for savings of 47%.Not
    too bad for a couple of first-timers.

    So excited, I had the best couponing experience ever since I started two years agao.   Our local grocery store here in IN has a tripling coupon deal all weekend, up to $1 coupons they will triple.  First trip on Friday I saved 87%, spent 31.20 saved $199.58 and left with a $4 off next purchase.  Second trip, saved 86%, spent $26, saved over $150.  I am going back again tomorrow since the tripling lasts through Monday.  I have barely touched the surface with my deals.

    Went to CVS and got 6 nail polishes, 4 laundry detergents, 2 cokes, 3 packs of gum, a bag of M&M's, revlon finishing powder, lipstick, foundation,2 masscara's and 2 100ct advil's all for 10.47 with 5 extra care bucks bck.
    Publix total was 75.80 and I spent 7,18,
    Bilo was 189.95 and I spent 52.03!!!

    Ok, I went to CVS and Wal-Greens today 5-29-11. I still have to go grocery shopping. I made a $13.00 profit off of my shopping trip. Here is how it breaks down. CVS 76.65 saved. Paid in cash 5.81 and received 16.00 in store credit. Profit 10.19. Wal-Greens 53.44 saved. Paid 14.50 in cash. Received 17.50 in store credit. Profit 3.00.
