FYI Some people use the gift card at Shell gas stations and use their Kroger .10 discount for spending $100. My local Kroger gas station will not take the Shell gas card but our Shell gas stations will and I can use the Kroger discount. Check your Shell stations in your local area to find our their policies because some give the Bi-Lo discount and not Kroger.

Last time I did the gas card deal they had Shell, Chevron, and one other station that I just can't remember the name of to choose from. Just basically any gas station gift card they carry at their gift card section in the store. Love it when they have this deal!

they are ecoupons–meaning they don't come off the price at the store, but the amount on the ecoupon goes into a savings account. at the beginning of every month you go to the upromise site and load the coupons you want (i load them all just incase) then when you shop you have the cashier scan your upromise card (i do it everytime since i don't keep track of the upromise ecoupons i just buy what we need and if we can upromise money too then awesome!). you can use paper coupons as well. for example, this week with the charmin: the price is $7.49. you can can the $1 publix coupon to make is $6.49 and the $1 mq to make is $5.49. When you have the cashier scan your upromise card that you loaded the charmin ecoupon to you'll $1 in your upromise account. It takes a while for the $1 to actually make it to your account, but every little bit helps! :) Hope that helps explains it a little bit. :) (It is similar to the savingstar ecoupons if you're familiar with that, it's just that publix doesn't have a loyalty card or participate in savingstar right now. they're program is called upromise.)

I understand you can 'stack' a store coupon with a manufacturer coupon. But, can the store coupon be from a different store, like Target, as long as your Publix accepts Target as a competitor? So can I stack Target coupons with manufacturer's coupons when I shop at Publix?

@ Pamela, At mine you can. At the Publix on Whitesburg, they have a the coupon policy on the rack where you get the coupons and the weeks flyer. On the back of the policy they show their competitors. Depends on the Publix. For example, mine does not consider Earth Fare a competer since it is across town, but the publix closer to it may consider it a competitor.

I usually save the most at Publix! I do it by using coupons on the BOGO stuff, stockpiling is key to shopping because you may not need 4 boxes of say cereal, but most likely you will in a couple of weeks. The advantage flyers are flyers that Publix puts out every so often (usually last 2-3 weeks), check near the entrance in your store and if you don't see them there check with customer service desk. You know, it took me forever to realize the Green Advantage Flyer was the forest green glossy that says “Hot Summer Savings” across the top of it. You'll likely find it at the front of the store where they keep their store magazines (like Greenwise) and weekly ads.

Our family has learned to eat what's on sale instead of trying to make a sales fit what we normally ate (pre-coupon days). It works itself out but takes a good 6 weeks for you to hit a stride where you see actual savings and get a good stock to cook from.

You can also get rainchecks on items that are on sale but they are out of, even if they have some but not the flavor or variety that you want. Then you can wait until they restock and the item is not on sale and get it for the sale price. You can also ask if an item is going to be restocked and when or if there are any more items in the back. A few weeks ago I was in there and they had a coupon on display for free Publix ketchup when you bought hot dogs and buns. They were out of the Publix brand of ketchup, so I asked a manager and I got a free Heinz ketchup instead. ALWAYS ASK if you want help on something. They are usually more than willing to help you out as best as they can. I love shopping at Publix!

The coupon usually states one per customer or something like that. I have had one instance where they let me buy two in one transaction since i had such a large amount of groceries, but the last time they ran the deal, I had to split my transactions to get the gas cards.

Sounds like you live in the Decatur area! If you register online for savalot club, you can print a $5 off $25 coupon. That is the only SavALot coupon I have ever found. Every once in a while, Food World will have a coupon in their sale paper you can use. Kroger doesn't have many actual store coupons and if they do, they are usually mailed to your home. Of course, you know you print the Target coupons from their website.

I do not really understand why everybody is so exited about this deal even if you do 4 trips 25$ each and get 4 cards, yes you save 40$ on gas, but still have to pay 160$ from your pocket (40×4). You dont need so much gas every day. So it is like 1 time deal I guess.

If you have enough deals with coupons, you would not necessarily spend $160 out of pocket. I have done the gas card deals before — I remember once paying only $40 for the card AND my groceries which were over $25 in value.

Gas cards are the best deal because you inup with free groceries plus save a ton on gas. Last time I ended with $60 worth of free groceries and $100 worth of gas cards and only paid $60 plus change for all. You really need to work with the sales items and Q's

Well, I do with coupons pretty good, but in is only 1 10$ off discount in transaction from 25$ of groseries so even your groseries after coupons will be only 10$ minus 10$ off from gas card you still pay rest of price of gas card 40$. Yes you get groseries for free and save 10$ on gas, not bad I am agree but still you have to pay 40$ every tranaction no matter what cost of your groseries, you cant come back 10 times a week, only if you have 400$ ready to put ahead for save gas. So for many people it is only 1 time saving deal. They do not take every time 10$ off from cost of gas card if you spend 50.75 or 100$ in 1 transaction, lol.

The last time they did gas cards they let me buy more than one in a single transaction. So before Q’s I spent a little over $100 on groceries and got 4 gas cards. This is an awesome deal! Nowhere else can you ever save 20% on gas. If you are buying groceries anyway, might as well save on gas.

I just wanted to let you know that my Publix told me yesterday that b/c of they're new coupon policy that if use a store coupont to make a product BOGO ( and it's not already BOGO) then you may only use coupons on the one item that you are actually paying for and cannot use a coupon on the item that you have made free. For example, on the Tena Security Pads You could use the store BOGO coupon and 1 $2.50 off coupon but not 2. I was very upset about this and requested to see the store manager and he said the same thing. It does not count if the product is already priced as a BOGO item in which case the two items ring up seperatly but for a discounted price.

they tried that at our publix last week and i had 2 managers say 2 different things. in their policy it clearly states the free item is still classed as a sale. therefore 1 coupon per item can be used. When i pointed this out to the manager I was allowed to use a B1G1 coupon a dollar off coupon and another store coupon. Which got me a bunch of free gillette bodywash to donate

From my previous post to someone else this afternoon: I bought 6 @ 5.19 each for a gross total of $31.14 used 3 B1G1 from the Green Advantage Flyer plus 6 of the $2.50 coupons for a net cost of .57c before using a $5 off $30 to get a order total of -4.43, paid $2.18 sales tax (which I hadn't counted on) but still got $2.25 cash back. First time I actually got paid for shopping. I did learn that if you have three coupons for $5 off $30 you now have to have the check-out person stop at $30 use one $5 coupon in this first transaction, then a second transaction stopping at $30 for a second transaction…. they used my $96 gross total order (now three smaller orders) to help train three of the newer cashiers…. a learing experience that I mostly had to grin and bear but it did enlighten me just how much the Publix policies have changed due mostly to a new computer/software upgrade now in my store and soon to be in all Publix stores.

FYI the Iams catfood rebate is for a voucher for a free bag, so it's not a money-back rebate, so technically the bag you purchase isn't free, but you get a voucher for another bag. Still a great deal!

FYI, the printable coupon for Bush's beans is not for baked or grillin' beans, only for black beans, kidney beans, and Pinto beans. Also, it is a manufacturer's coupon, but says “WinCo Foods” in big letters. These stores are apparently in the northwest. Not sure if our Publix stores will take them, so it might be good to check before you try. ;-)

Melanie, I find that the doubling is a great tool to help us see if it is an item that we really want to buy. I always look at that price first, then glance to see which coupons I need to make that price work.

I just printed the Colgate toothpaste/toothbrush coupon, but it has none of the usual manufacturer stuff – no bar code, no instructions to the retailer – nothing! I doubt any store will accept this coupon. Any ideas?

Okay… new to couponing and have a question… A lot of times I got to get a deal only to realize the coupon is not actually valid. For instance for your BUSH'S BAKED BEANS you have $1 off ANY bush's product printable coupon however when you go to that link it IS a $1 off BUSH'S however it also states that its valid on black beans, kidney beans, and chili beans. NO MENTION of baked beans…. Can this really be used on the Publix BOGO Bush's Baked Beans this week?

Similar thing happened to me last week. A coupon site told me I could get Enfamil formula for very cheap by using two different coupons… Well, the price of the item they were buying and comparing prices for was on liquid formula. However, one of the two coupons they told us to use was ONLY for Powder formula. So, the price didn't match.

I run into this all the time, and figured I'd ask since you have the Bush's one up now. Please help! :)

Yes, this happens occasionally – I think Jenny and her helpers sometimes have limited info on some of the coupons (e.g. sometimes she may say “if included”), other times I think it's just a time constraint to make sure item specifics on coupons match the sale flyers exactly (and sometimes the stores have regional variations on their sales). Ultimately these lists and match-ups are provided as a helpful GUIDE, and it's up to you to double-check (at the store if necessary) if a coupon can be used on a particular product.

These matches are most likely pulled from a database so as long as one word matches it probably pulls it in as a usable coupon. I seriously doubt someone is sitting on the other end checking the verbiage on each coupon to ensure the match or attempting to print each printable to make sure the link is still good. You should always keep in mind that links on printables could be weeks or months old so it's a reminder to check your binder, not necessarily print now. It's up to each of us to make sure the coupons we are using are legit and go with the product we are purchasing. Sometimes it's a let down, like with the Bush's Baked Beans and Emeril Bam, but most the time there are great deals to be had. Jenny takes a lot of the work out of it for us and I greatly appreciate that!!!

When you are at Publix, ask the cashier for a Publix Upromise card. You will have to register it online BEFORE you buy your product for it to count.

Coupons vary, depending on the city where you live and how big is your newspaper (compared to other local papers that may also have inserts)

Jenny usually posts a list of coupons included in your insert, according to city/newspaper. It may help you not to break your head against the wall, wondering if you are going blind or really didn;t get that coupon! LOL :)Also, just a heads up: this Sunday there are NO inserts (just one for proicter and gamble, but not the regular inserts) … So, if you are buying more than one paper on Sunday, keep this in mind. :-)

I use them and just got my first payout yesterday! Instead of the coupon coming off of your grocery total at the store, it is added to your saving star account. Sometimes it takes a long time for the credit to post, but when you get to $5 it lets you choose a payout option.

the first time i did the gas card deal, the cashier just let me do multiple gas cards in the same transaction, according to how many I qualified for (I bought just over $100 in groceries before coupons, so she let me get 4 gas cards). But this last time, i got a different cashier, and i had to sit and figure out four different transactions that would be about $25 each. What a hassle!!!! I think it depends on the cashier & the store. To me I don't see what the difference is, as long as you buy the qualifying amounts…. but the little in-ad Q does indeed say that only 1 card per transaction. Maybe you'll catch a lenient cashier!

I think that if someone spends the time to coupon and shop, they can do whatever they want with what they buy. Plus, the people who shop the yard sales are getting a pretty good deal as well. It would be wrong if she bought out the store and then gouged prices so people would have to pay MORE than what they would pay in a store.

My Publix has told me both times i tried that you cannot get a rain check for yellow or green advantage items. They will only give ma rain check for rthe weekly sale items. If I could get a rain check on green flyer items it would be awesome!!!!

In my opinion, if people are buying products with the intent to re-sell them, then that is considered having a business. You should be required to have a business license and pay income taxes like everyone else. Now if someone had a few extra things that they had bought and then decided to put it in a yard sale that they were already having, I have no problems with that. If the sole purpose is to make $$$ off the products and then have tax free income, I have issues with that. You have to draw the line somewhere. These people are the same ones that have multiple drug store cards. I like a good deal like everyone else, but not enough to hurt others or fraud the system.

My husband and I went first thing this morning when the store opened so we could be sure to get some of the free pasta before someone came through and completely wiped out the shelves of it. We each spent just over the $25 minimum in groceries before coupons and came away with two of the gas cards and our groceries for just over $80 oop in total between our two transactions. Our cashier wanted to give us a hard time about the $25 min purchase saying that it had to be after coupons, but the manager told her that it was indeed BEFORE coupons as we had told her, so be sure your cashier does not try to make you spend more than you have to!

Ugh – my Publix cashiers are getting so picky these days. They had some kind of workshop warning them about fraud and now they will not apply any kind of $/$$ coupon until after all of the other coupons have been taken off. I know that they are misinterpreting the rule, but they will not budge.

What does “Yellow advantage” and “green advantage” mean?

They are the names of two different ads that contain coupons that Publix puts out every couple weeks. The Yellow Advantage ad contains food product sales and coupons, and the Green Advantage ad contains personal care product sales and coupons. You can find them either on the rotating display at the entrance of your store where they display the weekly ads, or at the Customer Service counter. The coupons included in these ads are store coupons that can be matched with manufacturer coupons.

Yes, they are included. What is not so easy to determine is if the coupon will be a Target or a Mfg before you print. Seems like I saw a site someplace where the blogger’s hook was that she took the time to come up with a list of which were going be which each week. Might be worth a google.

no. most sites will allow you to print 2 times and that is it. Its my understanding when you print multiples off the pdf file that it doesn't have different barcodes and therefore its like copying the same coupon, the store doesn't get reimbursed and its no good.

If you print one copy (or two) and I print one (or two) they will both have the exact same barcode. Which one of us is committing coupon fraud? I would say neither. The only time you are limited on PDF coupons is when the fine print says one coupon per customer.

I have not had any problems using multiple pdf Q's-at Publix and other places.
A good example recently were the Think Thin $1. Q's. I must have bought a good 40 bars over a few wks time-some trips were to a store that also honored Whole Foods Q's-those were ALSO $1. pdf's-so I made .75 cents on each bar I got :)

Actually, you are free to print as many copies of a PDF coupon as you like. It is not considered copying or coupon fraud in any way. Enjoy!

Technically, of course, you CAN print them, but my Publix will not accept two printables with the same barcode, period! You are lucky if your’s does.

Does anyone know a trick to getting the target coupons to print off the website. I downloaded the coupon installer without difficulty and my printer successfully prints all my the other coupons from various sites, but my target coupons never print. Any ideas?

i had same problem. what i discovered is that targets website does not support google chrome (which i use) so to print theirs out i have to go on internet explorer or my other favorite firefox. hope this helps

Anybody else have trouble with the Emeril food product coupon? At my Publix it is the canned foods that are B1G1. The fine print (which I did not notice until check out) says “not valid on 14.5 or 15 oz. cans.” I was not allowed to use my coupon. I understand that and accept that since it is not valid and they would not get reimbursed. However, what did irritate me is that the lady in front of me was an “extreme couponer” with probably 30 of the Emeril cans, and the same coupon as me, except MULTIPLES. That was when the manager first got called to our line. He pointed out that it wasn't valid, but said to her “I will let you use your coupons this time only,” and he let her use them on all of the cans. I was right behind her and heard and saw everything, so when he came for my coupon and my TWO cans, he told me that I could not use them and made no exceptions. Like I said, I am totally cool with that since it was not valid, but that just bothered me that he did that right in front of me for somebody else with way more than me. Anyway, just thought I would spread the word on the coupon before others have trouble with that coupon today.

My publix did not even have carry the yogurt nibblers so I don't know if they were any deals on those items. but the fruit cups and steamers were the only items I saw that were BOGO and I used the coupon for $1 off steamers and then bought the fruit cups using $2 off 2 any Beech Nut items. Free free :)

I just came back from trip to Publix. It was a great shopping trip. If anyone has the the coupons from one of the Publix summer coupon booklets that had baby items…I don't remember what this booklet of coupons was called but had coupons for pampers, ALL detergent, baby food (gerber), formula, etc. There was a coupon for $1 off any Playtex items. I had 3 of them and used them toward sippy cups. I did not have manufacturers coupons, but if you did you could get some of the cups for 14 cents. Also in that booklet was coupons for the Baby Aveeno and Johnson Natural Products. Combined these publix coupons for $1 off and manufacturers coupons for $1, the Baby wash was on sale for 3.79 got it for 1.79. :)
Also found a lot of bags of goldfish that had coupons on them for 75 cents. Along with lots of free items it was a wonderful shopping trip of things I needed. :)

You have to have a code once you put in the code it takes you to the coupons. I got a code from one of the coupon sites last week as I was having trouble as well. Try googling for the code and see if you can find one that way.

I think the B1G1 coupon you are referring to is for the Tena pads (not Stayfree). Each store is different on allowing you to stack B1G1 store coupons with manf coupons. I would ask at customer service before shopping or ask your cashier at checkout.

Ah-ha! I found the Stayfree B1G1 you mentioned in the SS 6/25. You should be able to use the B1G1 manf, -$1 manf, and two of the $1.25/1 Publix coupons. That would make the stayfree pads $1 each.

Caution!!! Publix does not take the Mueller's coupon. The store manager said they got an email from the corporate this morning telling them not to take them because Mueller had rejected them all. I told them the coupons are printed from their official facebook page…oh well, still got tons of other deals. Playtex cups are marked down 50% so they are free with the $2 q.

No one should use these products. I used to run a vet clinic and had several clients come in with critically ill pets–from using these products. It is well documented. We even saw one cat die from it. Be safe and only use Frontline or Advantage. Your pet will thank you!

I mainly shop at the one off Lower Fayetteville because they are so coupon friendly. I know you can get overage if the coupon is more than the price of the item, but I am not sure if they would pay you the overage if you didn't buy anything else. I always use the overage to buy other things like fruit, milk, etc. Hope this helps.

Awesome Publix Trip! I paid $280.72, which included $250 in gas cards, so that is $30.72 in groceries after coupons. Total Savings came out to $134.93 or 81.3%. With the $10 off gas cards, I had almost $100 in coupons. The gas cards are an AWESOME deal!!

Heads up on a good deal at the Cartersville Publix, I had two (m) for Johnson and Johnson Red cross products at $3/2. In the green flyer was a (s) $2/2. I purchased (4)Hospital grade Gauze pads 10 ct. for $1.79 ea. I made $1.42 on each set of 2. I found the $3/2 coupon at a dispenser in Wal-Mart a few weeks ago. Hope this helps someone.

Does Publix let you use more than one gas card coupon in the same order? So if you bought $100 worth of groceries you could buy 4 gas cards and use 4 $10 off coupons, right? If so, do all the Publix do that or can each store pick and choose?

My local ad (Tampa, FL) has a coupon for a gas card. $10 off the purchase of a $50 gas card with a grocery purchase of $25 or more. Small print says – coupon required for each deal. Only one deal and coupon accepted for every $25 grocery purchase. I understand that it's one deal per $25 with coupon, but if I spend $100 and have four coupons does that mean I can get 4 gas cards on one purchase or do I have to plan for four separate purchases?

In the past at my store it was just a limit of one coupon/one card but today they had a sign that said limit 4 per customer. So I asked CS and if I spent $100 I would be allowed to use 4 of those coupons and get 4 gas cards. It may depend on your store. I'm in Lexington,SC.

i was happy with my trip. i spent 7.85 and saved 73.69 cool and for all things i use :) i ran into several fellow southern shoppers to! they had the southernsavers grocery list and everything(summerville,sc) oh i also looked at my reciept and realized that my foil Q's got stuck in with some rainchecks for the tylenol precise that is still out err my rainchecks esp on the 7th … well back to the point i called publix and they said if i bring the foil q's back with reciept before they espire i will be refunded so that would make my oop even less if i can get there 2morrow that is. wish me luck

at my store they were in a bin toward the front of the store with a big sign in the middle stating 10/$10. they are a plastic cup with lid full of mini cookies like Oreo, Nutter Butter, Teddy Grahams, etc. Hope this helps.

I'm in Fort Myers, FL and find them often. I mostly make my kids do it though. It's a contest to them – who can find the most. :) They know not to take more than two off a pad, and it keeps the occupied as we shop. They have become rather good at spotting coupons in all sorts of places.

Don't worry about Publix's b1g1 sale. Since they ring up half price, it really doesn't matter. Just buy 2 mixes and then grab a 3rd for free. If you have 2 coupons, get 4 brownie mixes and 2 cake/brownie mixes, etc. Just make sure you get two of the ones on sale for each free item. You can grab whatever brownie mix or cake mix you want for the third item, I would think.

I went to publix in Leesburg GA yesterday for the first time. My cashier wasn't the friendliest & the lady that was bagging my groceries was having a hard time. My cashier kept correcting her & getting on to her. Also none of my $.50 coupons doubled & on the Tena pads I was able to use the store coupon but they register would only accept (1) of the $2.50 off coupon. So I didn't get mine free. She just handed my Q back & said it won't accept it. I had the correct pads too. I was buing them for my grandma who can't get out. I just wasn't happy with my trip overall & the cashier was the icing on the cake. I paid OOP $75 & saved a total of $78; that is a little over 50% however, if the coupons would have doubled; I would have done A LOT better. I don't think I will go back.

Paid my visit to Publix yesterday. The Muellers pasta coupons I was able to print were 55 cents off not $1. I was able to use my coupons for Emerils Bam meals. The Sweet ray's BBQ sauce, my coupons were $1 WYB 3. So they definitely weren't free. Was there a $1/1 coupon that I missed? The Oscar Mayer Cracker Combos-some of my coupons weren't for the cracker combos but the more expensive sandwich combos. Check the fine print first.

Coupons vary by region. It seems that everybody got a Sweet Baby Ray's coupon, but some regions got $1 off 1, others got $1 off 2 or $1 off 3. I got he $1/3 coupon as well, which means no good deals for me as I have plenty of other free sauce from other sales. You win some, you lose some. It all evens out.

No, they have unique numbers on them and if you photo copy them then it would be considered fraud, the grocery store might accept them but they wouln't get reimbursed for the coupon.

No, you can only use what will print off. That is the retailers way of controling the number of coupons in circulation. If the store suspects the coupons are photocopies they will refuse to take them and you could become known as an untrust worthy couponer.

No the barcaode gets messed up and wont scan at the register, also dont do it its fraud! the manufacture only releases a certain number of coupons at a time for a product ( thats why your only aloud 2 prints from each computer) then when that magicaly number gets reached no one is aloud to print anymore. In other words the manufacture keeps track of the coupons floating around out there…it would get out of control if we could all copy the coupons and have unlimited ones:) so maing copies would be stealing

Everyone is right about most printable Qs – they have a unique code per coupon that is used to track and verify the coupon and where it was printed. The only exception/caveat to not copying printables are the ones that come in a PDF – you could copy those but don't know why you would since you can print an unlimited number of those specifically.

If you copy a coupon with a unique code and they find out when the coupon is redeemed then not only does the store not get reimbursed but they figure out who printed it and block your machine from printing coupons. When I first started using printables and they started putting these codes on them I made that mistake once (I didn't know it had a unique code on it and I needed one more). Lesson learned and was punished for it.

I have recently seen copies of sunday paper coupons. someone put the inserts on the computer and copied them then tried using them. I can't believe people would even consider doing it. Go to a clipping service or buy more sunday papers.

Yeah that's a no-no. I reference the PDF Qs issued by manufacturers directly – like the Scotch Brite Q or the Michael Angelo's Q or the Ocelo Q – stuff like that.

Although if you want more Publix gas card Qs don't bother buying a paper – print it from their website.

Yeah I pointed it out over and over..Unfortunatley it was the manager and I got no where..I am very careful to use my coupons according to policy and this manager is usually awesome nad even goes and finds me samples and books whne he sees me come in.. So I am not gonna sweat it just pout a little..I can use the coupon on the bottles that I am having to buy for my newbaby..So either way I'll get to use the coupon..it will all even out in the end..

Spent 18, saved 58! Woohoo! And I even bought my husband's favorite cereal without a coupon (gasp! LOL ) And I'll be stopping by my other local Publix that accepts Target coupons to get some free Crackerfuls later. After 6 months of true couponing I am starting to have to really get creative with our pantry/storage space. I used to have empty sections of the pantry, now I spend an average of 60-70% less on groceries overall and our space is busting at the seams. I love it!

I don't do the giftcard deal for gas anymore because the Shell stations near me don't accept the Kroger .10 off per gallon (even though the Shell web site says those locations participate– false advertising!) and last time the Shell manager gave me a hard time about spending my gift card on gas (when I only had a dollar left on the card they said I had to spend the remainder on convenience items instead of gas– took me 2 phone calls to customer service to get them to honor the balance on my gift card!) So even though it doesn't benefit me to get a gas card, I still had a great week. Thanks for all the matchups!

I love my Publix more than Kroger but I hate to say this, Kroger is always more well stocked on sale items than Publix. Lately everytime I go to Publix I have to get a raincheck. It's frustrating. An assistant manager told me yesterday they have been having problems getting stuff from the warehouse. It's not that the store is not ordering the items it's that the warehouse won't let them. I don't understand why. Does anyone else know why??

However Walmart doesn’t double coupons, they don’t match BOGO deals, and they don’t match any deal where a loyalty card is required. So every once in a while it might not be bad but for most stuff Walmart is a waste of money – I’d rather just get a rain check at Publix since I’ll be back for the next ad within a few days anyways.

Actually, they DO match bogo, they do match loyalty cards (just not the ECB, RR’s etc, though some will, some won’t) but they do NOT double and they do not take $ off coupons like $1 off Pepsi. Again, some will take those, so YMMV but policy says they don’t. The competitor coupons they accept are ones like “Lysol for $1 with this coupon!”- like CVS’s IVC.

My publix was out of the free Lunchables, so I price matched 20 at Walmart since the coupon was $1 so they were still free, then I PM”ed BOGO Pepsi and had to pull out policy to show her they DO PM BOGO.

My publix has the carefree panty liners on sale for 1.29 and there is a coupon in the green flyer for 1.25 off 1 stayfree or carefree product and if you use that you are left with a 4cent balance. If you stack them with the manufacture .50cent off carefree than you are left with an OVERAGE, .46cents!!!!

Just got back from Publix purchased 4 $50 gas cards and $100 worth of groceries paid $216.32 with tax after Qs. I should be very happy, but I'm not because the cashier was the customer service manager and she was not very nice. Checked every Q against every item already bagged. I think that was not necessary, I was told last week that the new system kept track of items purchased and now this.

I am not happy with Publix right now! During today's shopping trip I found out that they no longer accept Target coupons, only Ingles and Kroger. Never mind that the Kroger store is farther away than Target! Ok that's fine, their rules, but then I was told I could only purchase 1 gas card!!!! Even though my grocery total was over $150!!! Is there a limit of 1 on the gas cards or is it up to each store to set the policy?

Yeah this is one of those times that some stores are better than others. Some will let you get however many gift cards, within reason, for every $50 as long as you have the Q and some won't. Some make you split the transactions up and some don't. Just hit or miss – I would make sure to ask before you shop so you know how you need to handle things ahead of time (and can come back multiple days or how you're going to break things up into multiple orders).

I just went to Publix in Atlanta and was told they do not allow you to use 2 manufacturer coupons and 1 BOGO store coupon on the Tena pads since one was already free. That makes no sense! Then I stopped by another Atlanta store and was told I could only buy 1 gas card even if I spent $85 dollars! I thought there was supposed to be a corporate policy but these stores each have their own apparently. Very frustrating!!!

They have a blanket general policy but store managers are still given wide latitude to decide what they want for/in their store. I would ask around at the stores in your area and decide which one is the best then stick with that one so you build a relationship with the folks there. My closest stores are just like this – one does one thing that the others don't do and vice versa.

Right – although some stores will allow the manuf BOGO Q and a store Q on the free item plus another manuf and store Q on the paid for item. Depends on the store and their mood that day I guess. I've had it happen both ways even at the same store.

Just had a great “haul”, saved $42.63 and only paid $13.87 for the order. I don't know if anyone's received the Catalinas for $3 off one Pantene product (Krogers in Nashville) but if you combine it with the $1/2 store q on the STOCKING SPREE sheet, I only paid 50 cents for shampoo and 50 cents for conditioner (reg price $3.99). It isn't free but cheap! Store q expires today! Love it!

It is very true about the stocking at Publix. I go early Thursday because that is the day I can get the penny item at our stores, but sometimes some items are already gone. However, except for some of the first aid items, I got everything on my list today, including 2 gas cards and groceries for 123.63. So I spent roughly 43.63 on 50 grocery items, with a total savings of 87.07! I LOVE Publix shopping!

On a side note, I did notice that Publix didn't have a lot of the advertised pricing clearly marked as they usually do. This was frustrating, as this is something I find very often at Kroger, and it causes extra stress, and extra double-checking on my part to make sure the pricing is correct. Hopefully it was an oversight. But all in all, a great day!

I was so super happy when I returned home from Publix this morning when they opened. I was afraid they would be sold out of the things I was buying multiples in. I saved $93.58. I only spent $17.48!! I'm still super happy!! In vendor coupons I saved $32.50, In Store coupons I saved $23.57, and in Special price savings I saved $37.51!! Did I mention I was super happy. I bought 38 items!!

I am thrilled with Publix today…on a bill taht should have been 165.40 , I spent 15.80!!!However , I got one of the few crabby cashiers …I had to laugh because she put the closed sign as soon as she saw me !!! The Blue Diamond Almonds (16oz bag) is NOT $1.50. Jenny has it listed as a Yellow Flyer deal. It is in the Yellow Flyer but is listed for $5.99. That's kind of a big difference. Had a cashier today that had no idea what she was doing. She told me that coupons confused her. Even though I told her I didn't think the brownie mixes were ringing up properly at B1G1 she refused to listen and proceeded with checkout. She applied only one of the two DH coupons (wrong at that) I handed her but took both and put them in her drawer. Was so frustrated I simply paid and then went to customer service and had the manager straighten me out. After that I was pleased with my purchase!

I thought I did really well today at Publix. I went first thing and EVERYTHING was in stock. We have a BBQ competition team so a lot of this was for stock up of that. Here is the breakdown.

96 items: Quickly including: 10 bottles of Lawry Marinade (We had $1.00 coupons on ours :), 4 bottles mustard, 4 btls A1, 4 Alum. Foil, 6 Kids Cuisine dinners, 4 BBQ sauces, 6 cheeses (assorted from deals, 3 dif fruits, 2 bxs cereal, 5 Lunchables, 7 packs of Turkey sausage, 4 12 packs of Coke, vitamins, pads, 2 btls of Smuckers Ice cream toppings, 4 packs of Goldfish (Look for the 75 cent peelies; makes them .25 cent) plus a few other items.

Vendor coupons: 55.54
Store coupons: 19.25
Special Price Savings 116.80

Total savings: 191.59

My OOP: $ 75.33; I was happy with that considering all that I got.

I went to another Publix to check for more Goldfish peelies and lucked up. I got another 11 packs of Goldfish for 2.75. :) They are only on the Grahams style.

You buy $25 worth of groceries and the $50 gas card at the same time. Give them the coupon for the $10 off and you only pay $40 for the card. The cool thing is if you have coupons for your groceries, you give the gas coupon first then the rest of your grocery coupons. So you could get less than 25 bucks worth of groceries and still get the gas card for $40. Gotta love Publix!!

In fact, you should also be able to use it through Saturday. Check with your store and make sure before shopping and checking out. Most stores run their coupons Sunday through Saturday so if a coupon expires, say, Tuesday you usually can still use it through Saturday because they don't submit until then for the week anyways. My store allows this without issue – they were the ones who told me this was how it worked and that's why they could do it.

Today was my first attempt ever at couponing…I am not sure I did it right so any advice will help. I bought the emeril bogo and had 2 $1 Q's which rang up on my reciept. I bought the Frenchs mustsard and had 2 .50 Q's which both doubled. But the carefree pantiliners i had a .50 Q and it took off .50 but didn't double, it only took .09 for the “multiplied coupon” did I do something wrong, I thought those were going to be free? BTW my Publix is in Spartanburg SC

It is possible you had some overage which Publix doesn't allow, so the coupon only doubled to .09, taking away any overage you had since the mustard and Emeril's both gave you overage,

Hey Kay – does the Floyd Rd store not allow overage? The store over here on Cumberland does – and even PAYS OUT CASH if you have overage (requires manager override but they did it for me one time and explained that it was fine because the Qs would be paid anyways). They always apply my overage to the transaction as a whole (like on the Sundown vitamins).

Just gotta say that I am SO proud of myself! Got organized, found my coupons – all of the ones I wanted I was able to find or print!!, and made it to the store all in the same 48 hrs! THEN, when I got there, everything I wanted was a. priced as Jenny stated and b. IN STOCK! Then, I discovered that Coke products are actually 4/$12.00!! Whoohoo. Did two easy transactions, all my coupons worked! Got two $50 gas cards and $60 worth of groceries that I actually use for $111.00!! Going back for at least one more gas card – I think I can do it in one transaction if there is no limit on the coke deal! Yea me!

I noticed a few of you mentioned only being able to get 1 gas card even though you spent enough to get more. You have to do them in separate transactions to be able to get more than 1. It says on the coupon that “one deal and coupon accepted for every $25 purchase”, but they must be separate purchases. Hope this helps!

hmmm, actually I read otherwise. It should apply to increments of $25.00. And my store interprets it that way too. However, my store also limits the number of cards to 4 per transaction. I guess they can all call the shots the way they see fit?!?

b/c publix is a great place to shop for the things on sale, esp bogo free with coupons, BUT the rest of their items are 30% percent higher than other stores. for example a 2 liter of coke i can find for .99 cents to 1.25 at walmart or kroger and its 1.79 on a reg basis at publix, why would i pay that much more for the same item?

Hawaii is usually limited in what they are allowed to use. You will usually see “not valid in Hawaii”. So, I am going to assume (yikes) this means to Hawaii residents that they are ALSO allowed to use this q. Not that you have to live there to use it. (that would say “valid only in…”) HTH!

Has anyone had an issue with the Mueller's pasta coupons? They state: limit one coupon per person per product/unit. My Publix is VERY strick on the verbage, I'm bummed!

Per product means only one q per item purchased. If you purchase 10 and use 10 that's still one per product/unit. Your limits here would come in if it said one per TRANSACTION. That is about the only time you should see those limits. (that and Publix now has the policy to limit you on qty if they feel they don't have sufficient stock for other customers) HTH!!

They will only give you the max value of the Q so you'll get $2.50 off and just pay 10 cents for the item. I had that happen with the B2G1 Q when the cake mix was BOGO but the brownies weren't on sale (had to make sure to point out the brownies were the free item on the Q so I got the higher amount off).

Hit Publix last night and did pretty well. Got $103.74 woth of stuff for $46.48. Not too bad for me. And I had the whole family in tow which did distract me a bit. My wife kept putting “things she needed” in the buggy. I usually just do the couponing alone and then she goes seperate to get things we need that are not on sale. That ran my total up about $20 in stuff that was not a deal. I was disappointed that the Turkey sausage was out though. I had a big Jumbalia feast all planned out. Gonna hit a different at lunch today, but at that price, I am not expecting to find any.

Had an awesome trip last night. $95.44 worth of stuff paid $29.47 OOP (will get $20 back on rebate deal so really only $9.47 in the end. Saved 69% before rebate – 90% after). Picked up 3 gas cards too so I can use them with my Kroger points at Shell. WooHoo!!

Saving 50% is great. The key is to only buy like Jenny shows – on sale with coupons and to stack as much as you can. I'm almost to the point where I will not have to purchase any household or laundry products for a looooong time (like more than a year). I used to be happy with saving 20-30% and have ramped up to 75% or better but keep in mind that sometimes you may only save 40% and sometimes you may save 90 – it all evens out in the end and you still saved. I try to answer any online questions I can and you're welcome to ask any time directly.

Jenny does a great job pointing out tips, tricks, and showing what's available where and how to match – stick with it and you'll get better with time and practice! Good luck!

Coupons always have the same barcodes on the same Qs – that's how retailers can program their system for that Q. It's the veri-fi code or PIN (coupons dot com and smartsource respectively) in the upper right of the body of the Q that have to be unique.

Here's how it works: For every $25 in groceries (excludes alcohol, tobacco, lottery, gift cards, postage stamps, etc) you can purchase a $50 gas card and use your Publix gift card coupon to save $10 on that gift card. That's a 20% savings on the price of the gift card.

If you spend in multiples of $25 you should be able to get more than one gift card and use more than one coupon. Some stores allow more than one in a transaction and some require you to split them up into individual transactions (and apparently some stores allow only one per person for that trip – so you'd have to go back again to get another). Check with your store to see what they are doing.

Everyone's excited because a 20% savings on gas is pretty good. The cards carried by your store will vary depending on what they have in the area. I chose Shell because I can get the gift card at Publix, use my coupon, then use the gift card and my Kroger points for even more savings (basically stacking coupons on gas).

Note that Publix tends to do this every few months lately so if you only get one or two don't worry – they'll be back around again most likely.

Also note that you don't have to buy a paper to get the ad with the coupon in it – you can print the coupon on Publix's website.

This is not publix policy, corporate sent out a sheet before this deal came live saying that if you spend $100 in groceries you can use 4 cards in one transaction BUT you have to have a separate coupon for each, can't use one coupon for all 4. I work for Publix in Customer Service so I see these things personally from our portal.

I have a question about the ConAgra (summer storm) rebate from Publix. I need to go do my shopping today as the q's expire today & today is last date applicable for the rebate. Yes they do! I got them maybe 3 weeks ago at Publix for I think 89 cents per bag for the Cesar Softies. You can search them on the top of the homepage and it will show you all of the times they have been on sale and you can look when it was last on sale at Publix for example and estimate when it will be on sale again. Sales generally run on a 6 week cycle. HTH.

Just got back from publix in FL. Spent $76.66 and save $183.68! Did not have any problems at checkout, although I noticed on my reciept that one of the vitamins I got rang up $4.69 and I thought it was supposed to be $3.54 so I would have saved a bit more if I had caught that at the register. The same thing happened to me this week. Shelf tag said 3.52 but rang up 4.69. I went to CS. When they checked the shelf, they said that it was an old sales tag that should have come down. They then refunded me 4.69 plus tax. Their polic is that if an item rings up incorrectly, you get it free.

How do you print the kid cuisine coupons? The link goes to a “child hunger ends here” site that I've seen before but can never navigate. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm having the same problem – only if I watch the web address bar it goes to a downloadable coupon site and quickly jumps to the enter code site before I can do anything! What is up????

Enter in 63829897 as the purchase code and then chose the coupon you want to print. If you hit the back button after it prints then you can print multiply coupons.

I purchased “Acorn” products at Publix this week. Had coupons for every item. My balance was reduced by about $16.00 after my coupons. I spent about $20.00 before tax. So if I purchased at the lowest price, and used coupons, why didn't I only pay like $4.00? I just really don't see how anyone can do this and get away with paying almost nothing. I still feel like I got good bargains, but I just don't see how you can get those kinds of results.

So the Yellow Flyer deal for Hartz Ultra Guard Rid Flea & Tick Shampoo for Dogs, 18 oz, $3.99 is incorrect..there is not a $3 coupon in the yellow flyer for Hartz..only Adams…anywho..if you are on the Publix Pet Program mailing list, you should have received the new coupons via email. One of which is for Hartz flea and tick products and it's a $2 off coupon. Pair that with the $2.50 off 1 Hartz Flea and Tick drops and you got a pretty good deal. My Publix had a 3 month supply of Hartz flea and tick drops for $10.99. After coupons, I paid $6.49..FOR A 3 MONTH SUPPLY!!! I forget wehich paper the manufacturer coupons were in, but this is still a really good deal!

Stacy, beware, the Hartz flea medicine doesn't work. I even tried the “Hartz Pro” which was close to $20 and it was totally ineffective on both of my dogs. I wasted close to $30 on the cheap stuff before breaking down and buying Frontline. Fleas seem to be bad this year (in the south).

Will publix write rain check for the yellow advantage buy deals? Is it an actual flyer?

Some apparently will and some won't. I tried to get one once and was told they can't do rain checks on the Advantage flyer items. But people have posted on here that they have so YMMV – ask your store to be sure.

Publix policy is to not write rainchecks for yellow ads because they are on sale for around a month at a time so there is plenty of time to pick up the deal, the only exception is when an item has been out of stock because of a warehouse issue, then you should be taken care of and managers know when that has happened. I work for Publix at the service counter and that's what we are told every time.

I was wondering where the price of the Sundown vitamins of $2.69 a bottle came from for Publix. My Publix informed me today that the cost is 3.59. The $1.00 difference makes a difference and I ordered a bundle from the store.

At my store the cheapest one was $2.49 and it was out so I got the next one up at $2.99. Still a great deal/MM. Even at that price you'll make $0.40/ea with stacked Qs so not a bad deal at all.

I posted this in the community forums but thought I'd post it here too. Has anyone actually done this? Publix has Coke 12 packs on sale buy 2, get 2 free. I have $1.00 off Q when you buy 3. If I buy 12 (12) packs, can I use 4 coupons? Even though some of the 12 packs are technically free? Thanks. My head is swimming.

If they are out of 2 or 3 things you want will they give you a raincheck on all of them? Or is there a limit on how many you can get?

You should be able to get rain checks on all of them – I've gotten 4 at once without an issue. And keep in mind that rain checks are good at any store – so if you need more than 5 deals (10 items) you can get a rain check from a diff store (or from the same store on a diff day if the sale is still on) and use them all at one store. HTH!

Yes, I got rainchecks for 6 different items one day.
It has to be items from the weekly ad though, they won't give rainchecks on the green or yellow flyer deals.

I saw an earlier post about this saying it said in HI, but not only in HI meaning HI was included. Maybe they are not included in some things, I don't know. My store in Al took them though, no problem.

My Publix in Kissimmee Fl takes Target Q and I have a $1 off A1 sauce plus M $1 off makes it -.05 for 2. I'll try to print another Target coupon to save more.Does Publix give you credit for that? Don't be too jealous about them accepting Target, we can't double in Fl.

I'm new to couponing, and shop at publix in Birmingham. Have a few questions to get started. What do the acorns mean? I went to publix today and in looking at my receipt, some of the coupons doubled…how do I know which ones will double? And someone else in the comments mentioned stacking. Does that refer to using multiple coupons on one item? A bunch of the coupons I have say one coupon per purchase….so how can you stack? Sorry for all the questions…please help!!

You may want to read the getting started guide that Jenny has put together. It's great!
But, to answer your questions, Publix in AL doubles coupons $.50 or less. Stacking generally refers to using a manufacturer coupon AND a store coupon on the same item. You can't use two manufacturer coupons on the same item.

You shouldnt have been able to use both, the coupon in the green flyer is a manufacturer, not a publix coupon, which you can not stack.

I went to Publix today and bought the Tena Pads (2) for my mother-in-law. I had a store coupon for B1G1 and two manufacturing coupons for $2.50 off. The cashier would only let me use one of the $2.50 because she said I was getting one of them free and that she could not take $2.50 off of “nothing” (since I paid nothing for one of them.) Does this sound right?

I did that same deal last week and was able to use both of the 2.50 coupons. They should be accepted because the BOGO coupon is a store coupon.

I apologize if this has already been addressed. I did a search and didn't find anything. Has anyone else run into problems trying to buy more than one gas card? I know Chris was able to. And CS at my Publix did the over ride. However, not before the cashier was rude and huffy. And continued to treat me rudely through the entire transaction. I usually don't complain to management but I've decided I'm starting. As a legitimate couponer I'm tired of being made to feel like I'm doing something bad or wrong. I hope everyone else will stop being a good sport about being treated badly and start writing/calling corporate offices along with me. Maybe if enough of us stand up for ourselves we well see changes. If it is Publix policy to only allow one deal, it needs to be stated very clearly on the coupon. Thanks for listening. I'll now return you to your regularly scheduled programming. And have a Happy 4th everyone!

My Publix now only acccepts one store coupon if it says “limit one deal per coupon per purchase”. Even though it says PER COUPON (and not “limit one coupon per customer” like some do). So if the gas card q says that, then that could be the reason. Only some stores do that.

I apologize if this has been discussed but has anyone had problems using Target coupons at Publix in the Charleston area? I was told (after my items were already scanned) Publix will now only accept coupons from Bi-Lo, Food Lion, Harris Teeter, Piggly Wiggly and Whole Foods. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks

The changes went into effect a few weeks ago with the new coupon policy. Some stores no longer accept Target as a competitor if the nearest Target doesn't have a meat/produce department.

In the deal listed below both coupons seem to be from the manufacturer, doesn't that mean you can't use both? I tried something similar with bengay a few days ago and they would not accpet both because they were both manufactuer coupons. I always thought the coupons in the Green Adv Flyer were Publix coupons. I have read that a few of you have been able to stack these coupons, so does this just come down to the cashiers knowledge of the stores policy? Which way is the correct way?

I work at Publix and sometimes there are manufactors coupons in the Advantage buy flyers. But you should have been able to use both of the coupons listed.

Bought the Duncan Hines brownie mix B1G1, added a free 3rd box w/ the coupon and the girl bagging was nice enough to tell me (and went to the shelf and retrieved) a 4th box of brownie mix–since they were B1G1 that free coupon actually served as if I was purchasing again!
