Publix’s official policy is that it’s up to each store to best serve the customer. I’ve never had a problem using up to 4 of the same coupon with Publix whether store or man Q.

It’s really up to the discretion of your cashier whether it’s an ‘original’ or not. The best tip I’ve ever gotten about this is to go to a young guy cashier! They are ready to please–I’ve never had a hard time when I did this. Women seem to scrutinize a lot more and are very critical and often give you a harder time.

My publix in sc goes by what the coupon says. If is says one deal per customer, which a lot of Publix q’s do, they will only accept 1. Otherwise they allow as many as you have.

They are flyers full of Publix coupons and sale prices. Each one is good for 3 weeks. Some stores have them on a rack when you first walk in; I have to ask for them at my store at the customer service desk. They are also in the local newspaper the week they first come out (which is a great way to get multiple copies if you want to stock up on an item). The advantage flyers always have Publix store coupons, so they can be combined with manufacturer coupons! It’s nice that they last 3 weeks, because if something gets wiped out the first week, it usually comes back in stock by the 3rd week. Hope that helps! :)

In the Publix store, either in a turnstile with other flyers or at customer service, you will find a yellow advantage flyer and a green advantage flyer that includes sales and publix coupons. I think they put out about 2 a month maybe.

the angel soft/sparkle is in the new “One Stop, One Store” coupon circular – it has an orangish border with a young girl (13ish) on the front that appears to be baking something and has flour on her forhead. A lot of stores are keeping these behind the customer service desk because people are taking too many at a time.

If your Publix lists W. Dixie as a competitor, yes…your Publix will take it! Ask your Publix who their competitors are. Each Publix is different, depending on the local stores near to them. Here in Middle Tn, the Publix list their competitors within a 5 mile radius.

You can’t use Whiskas Publix coupon for their BOGO sale. Coupon says bags 2.7 lb or 3.3-lb. BOGO is 3 lb. bags.

Yes, you can. They do not make the 3.3 pound bag anymore. The 3.3 pound bag is now the 3 pound bag. The manufacturer changed the quantity of content in the bag recently. I have the bags to prove it. :) However, we are still paying the same price for lesser quantity in the bag. Go get you some Whiskas!!! :)

I have what I think is an odd problem. There are items that I would like to buy but when I got to the coupon book, such as Red Plum, and look for the coupon, it is not there. An example is the Alli coupon stated above for $8 off. It is not in my RP 8/28. I looked in all my RP’s and all of the SS’s I have. This is not the first time I have experienced this either. So, are the coupons you are siting here vary from area to area??

Liezlann, what I have found out in any given week RP can put out 2 different RP inserts. One comes in the Sunday newspaper, Then another different one comes in the mail on Tuesday or Wednesday.They both will be dated the same date with different coupons. Hope this helps

Have a general coupon question…. I try and make sure to do the ethical thing in all my couponing so with that I have a question for you fellow couponers. When stores have book/booklets out for you to take one is it okay to take more than one? at what point is it too many? obviously I wouldn’t clean them out but if there is a good supply is two too many? 4? I dont know why people take so many copies.Most stores will allow you to use ONE store coupon/per item.For instance, if the store coupon is for nature valley bars and I get 10 boxes, I can use the same store coupon for all ten as long as I tell the cashier.You don’t need to cut out ten of the same coupon.

Who cares how many she got? For all you know she may have a family of 5 and has to do loads of laundry or maybe she donates them, so I would shut up before judging others – 11 is a pretty decent number , it’s not like she is cleaning a shelf (a shelf has more than 11) she doing something legal, that she does it better than you is no reason for you to complain to her, go complain to your Publix for being irresponsible and not stocking shelves.

Today a customer bought 50 jars of baby food for her babies and had loasds of coupons , saved 122, and spent 50. You wanted me to say “NO DONT TAKE THESE TO YOUR BABY LEAVE SOME SO OTHERS CAN BUY” Bullshit. As a Publix employee, it’s our responsibility to keep everything stocked, and if your manager is not able to go to another store and get the items for you, then they are a bunch of lazy idiots who don;t know who to do their job, don;t blame someone for taking 11 dropps that she will most likely use or even give to her mom, when she is doing something totally legal.

Go complain to your Publix, it’s Publix’s responsability to keep everything STOCKED ALWAYS.

I hope you don’t talk at Publix like you’re talking on this blog. Some stores do limit the numbers of items. I bought the baby food for a friend last time it was BOGO and I wanted to buy 56 of them but they would only let me buy 14 (and the only reason they let me do that since the normal limit is 8 is because the coupons were $1/7) so what’s totally legal at your store is not totally legal at all stores.

That’s not what I’ve been told at Publix. I was told you have to have a coupon for each item. I tried it once with only one coupon and was buying 4 boxes. No deal. The cashier wouldn’t use the same coupon 4 times. I had to have four separate coupons.

2 is pretty standard, but if you knew you would put them to good use then I do not think 4 is too many, esp if you have a large family I also think it is okay to grab more if you will use them and they are still there next time you are in the store.

I have 3 family/friends that coupon and I shop at a publix that usually has good booklets so I usually grab 8- 2 for each of us, and they are always so thankful to receive them. I do feel a little strange grabbing that many hoping people don’t think I am hoarding booklets, but it works for the 4 of us.

Somewhere when I started couponing, I read that you should get the same number of newspapers that you have family members in your household. Since I live in Florida and we have true BOGO then I buy 4 newspapers even though we have 5 in our family. I follow this same policy with coupon booklets that I find in the store.

Certain stores do mailings for periods of time, others don’t. It’s completely random according to the Publix that keeps sending my mom coupons, my three nearby stores never send coupons ;) And it’s not to just her, she finds tons of coupons in the recycling bin next to her apartment complex’s mail area!

I think it has to do with how well they doing with competitors. The closet Publix to me is within 2 blocks of Ingles, Kroger, Super Walmart and Sams Club. I get $5/30 from that store every week that specifies good at that store only.

There are 2 other Publix within 8 miles, one only has a kroger nearby and one has no competitor. So I’m just guessing the store with the most competion probably doesn’t do nearly as well than the other 2, so they use these Q’s to bring in more business.

I think the Sun Drop soda deal listed under Yellow Advantage above is incorrect. The $2 off coupons are for Sun Drop 12 packs and the B3G1 deal is for Sun Drop 2 liters. They can’t be combined. At least that’s the case at my Publix in Orlando FL.

The other sheets that are good until Oct were from a promo that ran in May, you got them if you donated money to charity. I haven’t seen them since May.

Tried to do the Milkbone deal….service mgr rang up my order. She told me that the Milk Bone get one Essentials coupons count for two Items and I could not use the additional $1.50/2. I printed B1G1coupons from MQ website for Milk-Bone Dog Biscuits or Snacks deal, when you buy 1 Milk-Bone Dog Biscuits or Snacks and get 1 Free Milk-Bone Essentials Plus Dog snack and coupon does not state up to what value. I am afraid Publix will not take it!!! Help!!!

My Publix took it but it was B1G1 for 3.99 or 1 at 1.99 so I only got 1.99 off instead of the 3.99 when I bought 2 which is a bummer but still cheap.

They was wrong. You should get both for free. Their ad says B1G1, price 3.99, the reason they ring up 1.99 and 2.00 because it is only way register will take 2 coupons (if you have 2 to use). So if price for 1 item is 3.99 and second is free, so they must to take off 3.99. It they did only 1.99 it is not BOGO deal. Why you should pay for second box if deal says second is free???

I’m starting to get a tad annoyed. Both of my closest publix have been out of the pillsbury biscuit scramblers and the yoplait parfaits since the day after the advantage buy flyer came out. I don’t know whether to blame the shelf clearers or the store for not restocking. Either way, someone was VERY inconsiderate.

I had the same problem in Montgomery, AL. We have 3 in Montgomery and all were out everytime I went in there. I don’t know why Publix just don’t order enough to stock everyday due to shelf clearers.

We’ve been having the same problem around ATL. Seems like they don’t restock the shelves until after the sale ends. I’ve started saving my coupons, they usually will take it even after it expired if you explain that they were out of stock the entire time the coupon was valid. For the Publix coupons, they probably won’t do that for a regular coupon. Regular coupons, just get a raincheck as long as your coupon is good for awhile. I wasn’t able to get any of the Deoderant, BBQ, etc that was free lately because shelves were empty and I go in several times per week.

Publix will in general take expired coupons as or give you a coupon raincheck as well as a raincheck for the item. It took them 4 months to get in razors and I was able to use my VERY expired coupons when they came in.

They tell me the same thing in Acworth and are out of everything thing by the day after the sale starts it shouldn’t have to be like Black Friday every time a new sale starts at Publix it is getting old. On the other hand Walmart usually price matches:)

i dont think they had many to begin with. I went the day the sale started and bought 4 boxes of the biscuit scramblers and there was only 2 left on the shelf. There were a bunch of the nnon biscuit ones, whatever they are called but very limited on the biscuit kind. They are pretty good and I want to get a few more!! Hubby and kids love them!

My Publix will give a rain check, but it is for a very short amount of time, and the one time I got them for the Natur Valley Granola bars, they didn’t have them restocked in time for the rain check.

And mine WILL NOT take expired coupons. Last time I went the cashier questioned every coupon I had, pulled 2 that I had inadvertently added in that were expired, questioned brands that I had to politely show her the fine print on them, that they were what the coupon said, etc., etc. Def my worst trip ever, won’t ever go through her line again, and haven’t couponed since then, about a month ago.

Our shelves are usually wiped clear as well, and not restocked til after the sales goes off.

The Publix in Gainesville, GA is great about offering a raincheck. If your coupon will expire before they have them, they staple the coupons to it and write a note overrirding the expiration date. Very nice of them to honor what they are advertising!! It’s too bad all of them don’t do this.

My MQ coupon stated value up to $3.44…even better, the Essentials were also BOGO here. They counted the freebie toward the Essentials, took Milkbone $1.50/2 and the Target $1.50/2. Added Whiskas BOGO, with 2 $2 off coupons and Publix store $1 coupon. Then 3 free Crave snacks coupons. Happy pets. Happy owner.

Nothing annoys me more than dishonest couponers. I am a CSS at Publix who actively coupons, and I’m so frustrated with all of the shady people. I had a woman come through and there was an issue with her deodorant coupon being for Dove Ultimate and not the regular one she was purchasing. Then, she gave me like 20 [clearly photocopied] printable coupons for Goldfish Grahams when they were 10 for 10. However, none of the bags were the graham variety. I politely explained this to her and she got extremely rude and started causing a scene saying she was buying them to donate and would be calling Corporate first thing in the morning. Just saying, don’t complain and try to get me and trouble for doing my job when YOU are the one committing coupon fraud. And I don’t care if you are donating or not. You don’t need to be rude.

Sorry, just needed to vent. Thanks to all of you honest couponers…I’m more than happy to grab booklets or anything for any of you if you ever need them!!

I am so sorry that there are those kind of people out there. I work in the restaurant business and boy can I tell you some stories about those kind of people. Okay the best one was the people that brought their own ants. Of course they appeared at the end of their dinner. After they complained, the customers in another booth told us that they saw them take them out of a container and put them on the table. They actually tried it again about 4 months later but my husband remembered them and they got nothing free.
And you are so nice to call them shady … I call them theives. Now if she was going to just donate the Goldfish, would it really matter what flavor they were? Sounds like someone was going to eat them herself or her family.

Anyone else noticed that Publix’s specials have really gone off a cliff in terms of value since this time last year?

Also that coupons that used to be -.50/1 are now -1.00/2, halving their value?

And that more than 50% of the coupons you use are printed rather than coming from the newspaper like they used to? And that you really have to give up a fair amount of personal info to print them?

Just me or is couponing starting to lose some of it’s luster in terms of return on time invested?

Im feeling the same way. I’m still saving SOME money but nearly what I was. The sales aren’t as good and the coupons even worse. I used to have a nice healthy stack to take with me. Now I’m lucky if they even have anything on sale with a coupon. Plus I’m in Florida and they don’t double! I feel like week after week the sales go south. I used to see a ton of cheap deals now there are maybe three good deals. Thought it was just me.

Is the dispenser coupon a MF or store coupon? If it’s a MF coupon, that I don’t think you can use both…but it depends on the exact wording on the coupon and how the store interprets it. If it’s $1.50 off muffins when you buy Nutella than you might be able to use the $1 Nutella coupon but if it’s $1.50 off muffins AND Nutella than I think that means the coupon applies to both so you couldn’t use another MF coupon. Again, I’d ask your customer service desk just to see what they think.

Has anyone had success with the Michael Angelo’s B1G1 Free coupon? I was able to print out the coupon but when I went to checkout… first they said that they would not accept the coupon becasue it was copied…when I told them no it is printed in black and white because I do not print in color due to the cost of ink they then stated that they have been notified from Management not to accept the Michael Angelo’s coupon because it is fradulant and the manufacturer was not honoring the coupon when theysubmit it. The interesting part of this is I had to sign up for the ” Family Table” on the Michael Angelo website so how can this be fraudulant? I personnally think that the store manager at this particular publix in Palm Harbor,FL does not like couponers, or is Publix as a whole cutting back on coupons?…What are your thoughts?

They are told that printed coupons that carry the same number are fraud. It has nothing to do with black and white. I have signed up for things and all the coupons came out with the same number before and was told this. My manager lets me use them anyways. I went to another store that yelled at my husband… It all depends on the cashier and manager… Every time!

The printables have a total print limit, so once it’s printed for example 5000 times it’s no longer available. Once it hits that it can give an error that makes you think YOU already printed it.

I believe it is the Publix Advantage flyer that has all of the Publix coupons in it…has a coupon for $2.00 off one box of Honey Nut cheerios, Lucky Charms, or Cinnamon Toast Crunch. This week, the small boxes are $1.99 for Lucky Charms and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. You make a penny if you use that coupon! You can only use one per customer though! If you don’t have these coupons, they are in the front of the store as you walk in by the carts. (Atleast in my store here in Georgia)

It depends on your store. Mine in Suwanee, GA will not allow overages. They will pull the coupons and manually mark the BOGO price and enter them manually. If it’s a few cents, they probably won’t know the difference but they won’t, as their policy, allow you to “make money” on an item.

I had $2 off one coupons and I used 6 (3 sets of b1g1) and had no problem at all. I only had a mc though, no Publix coupons. Still paid only $1.47 plus tax. making it only $3.09 for 6 bags, .51 each.

There’s a $2 off any Perdue whole grain frozen chicken nuggets in today’s paper and I think the publix B1G1 sale includes the whole grain variety so you could get the nuggets for like 19 cents!

I think the whole grain are the ones in the frozen case. They are around 5.99 a package. The $2 Q would be for these not the ones in the refrigated section that are bogo. Hopefully the larger bag will be bogo soon and we can use this coupon.

There are packages of refrigerated whole grain chicken nuggets as well. I just got a few today (some of them shaped like lightening bolts from the movie Cars). The coupon doesn’t state a specific size so I used it on the BOGO whole grain nuggets.

Funny story: I went to Publix this afternoon and at checkout, the lady in front of me was buying a couple sundown vitamins. The cashier, being thoughtful, offered to go get her the flyer with the $3 off coupon. The lady thought about it for a second and said, “Oh that’s okay. I haven’t tried this brand yet so I’ll just pay for it.” My mouth just dropped! The cashier offered to save her $3 a bottle and she refused! I guess some people just don’t get it. Oh well, I gladly handed over my thick pile of coupons. In my world, every penny counts!

I’ll start by saying I am grateful for this website. Now I’ll ask WHY do we get sent to coupons that don’t go with the ad? I’m already short on time to do this every week and when I take the time to clip or print one that isn’t useable it’s very discouraging. (I often don’t find a coupon in my SS or RP that’s supposed to exist either.) I’m considering giving up the whole thing. Anybody else have these issues?

I’m not entirely sure what you mean by coupons that don’t go with the ad (seems that is pretty well organized, though occasionally there is some question as to whether or not a particular coupon will go along with a sale because it is a different size or something… as long as you read what she posts about the coupon you should see that up front). As for not finding coupons that are supposed to exist, we ALL have that problem. The reason is that coupon inserts vary some from city to city. This problem is being dealt with the best way I think anyone knows how: Weekly posts about which coupons to expect in which of your local newspapers. Look for them. They happen. Every week. Compare a couple from different cities and you’ll see that there is sometimes quite a bit of difference. And, if there are multiple papers in your area, sometimes there is some difference between the coupons in each one.

In short, I’m sorry you are discouraged, but if you give it up, you are the only one who loses. In the end, you have two choices: Save time or save money. When you get a little bit better at it (because you’ve been doing it a while) you’ll see that your money savings go up and your time spent going down. It takes a while. I don’t know how long you’ve been doing this, but I will encourage you to hang on through the month of November. November is historically a HUGE couponing month. You can sometimes walk out of a store for 60% LESS without trying very hard. Stockpile!

I’m not sure about the one on Clemson Blvd but I think it’s a no there as well ( I think I tried there before years ago.) I don’t shop there as much but it might be worth asking since they are closer to Target…

there is a new booklet that is titled One Stop. One Store. It is a bit smaller that 8 1/2 x 11 and has a lot of red on the cover. In some Publix stores, you have to ask for it or it may be located on a seperate rack from the weekly flyers. PLEASE NOTE: the Southerm Savers lists the sale price as $5.49 and lists that you can use the $2 coupon for the Angel Soft or Sparkle. The coupon states “Save $2 off Sparkle Paper Towel WHEN YOU BUY (1) Angel Soft Bath Tissue, 9 Mega Roll or larger” So, do not try to hand over a $2 coupon for each toilet paper pck and each paper towel pkg. It will not work. I honestly thought I could use a coupon for each as I clearly did not read the coupon, and it just so happens that the cashier thought I could do that to. So, I ended up purchasing a cart full and using the $2 on each product. However, when I returned this am for another cart full, I was told that I could not do that and was told what the coupon actually said. So…be careful :0) Hope this helps

The Whiskas Q I found in the RP 9/18 was save $2 on any 1 bag. This makes it a better deal.

Publix’s new baby coupon booklet that exp Sep 30 has a coupon for $2 Johnson’s Natural’s. THEN there is a printable coupon for $1.50 off Johnson’s natural. You can get one for around a buck! There were hardly any left when I went today so I grabbed a kid one by accident but my Publix took it! :) They are so nice. There was an issue with it and I explained why but they took it anyway. :) <3 them. And when you need baby wash this was a great price especially for natural! :)

ALSO if you got a coupon for $3 off Huggies Little Movers Slip-Ons (Kroger home mailer) I believe this can be combined with the $2 off if your Publix accepts Kroger coupons. If I liked that kind of diapers then I would have tried it but I HATE them. I did get a Jumbo pack of Snug and Dry for $7.49, not a great price but I needed diapers. :)

What is a “good deal” on paper towels and toilet paper? Can any experienced coupon shoppers give me your rule of thumb on when to bite on a sale? Do you stick with a “price per roll” amount? thanks!

The “price point” for toilet paper is .01 per square foot….for instance, if you see a pack of 300 feet, you will pay $3 for it….I’ve been doing this for about a year, and this is the best price. I’ve also found that Wags & CVS have the best prices on paper goods. I usually stock up at Wags. On paper towels, I kind of ‘wing it’ and pick those up when they’re around $3.50 per pack of 6-8 rolls. I usually find Charmin Basic, Scott, and Bounty Basic products for the right price. Hope this helps!!!
