Stupid question here, but due to cutting back, my family got rid of Netflix and want to try this Blockbuster kiosk movies. I think there is one at my Publix (at least that’s what I saw when I searched for a kiosk). Anyway, how does this work? Do you just use one code and get one free movie? If one code doesn’t work, does that mean it has reached its limit? Thanks in advance for info. about this!

I just went online & rented 3 movies with 3 different codes. I had to do each one separately because you can only enter 1 promo code per transaction. Im on my way to pick them up now.

I suggest you try it online before going to the store to save time. Blockbuster Express lets you reserve online with a free code. That way if one code does not work, you can try another. Like Jamie said, if you want several, you will need to check-out for each free movie. Also, Blockbuster started charging more for new releases and the codes only work for the $1 rentals. Redbox still only charges $1 for all DVDs.

We just cancelled our Netfliks subscription for the same reason you did. The blockbuster kiosk is working well for us. Note: The “fire” emblem movies do not work with the free codes but if you wait a week or two those “hot” movies will be available for free. Second, the Blockbuster selection is limited compared to the Netliks selection so I supplement by ordering documentaries and older movies from the local library. I was amazed by the wide selection of Films available from our library. Here in Central Florida library DVD’s may be kept for a week and I can find almost everything I am interested in through the online catalog. Happy money saving!

It works just like Red Box. No there is no limit on a code, if it doesnt work it’s because it’s expired or the code was released wrong. Yes, 1 code for 1 1.00 movie, the 2.99 movies do not apply. ENJOY!!

Thank you so much for posting these! If it’s free I don’t feel so upset when we get home with one that doesn’t play. Unfortunately it has happened a lot lately with BBX; it’s the nature of rentals. However, it does make me wonder just how people handle DVDs to get them so scratched!
