Going Nuts? I can help you understand coupon terms and abbreviations

Today when you click on this offer above at Coupons.com they seem to be offering an entire year for FREE not just the month that the offer shows at first!!

You will need to still enter a credit card to sign up, but as long as you cancel before your free year ends you won’t be charged.

This membership will give you access to coupons that others can’t get.  They are supposedly higher values and some unique offers.  I will tell you that I don’t think it’s worth paying for, but if they are going to let me have it for a year… then I’ll take it.

After clicking on the offer you should see a page with this offer:

Follow the steps to score your free year!

  • Guestatl

It’s actually a Facebook promotion when you get to the checkout so to get the free year you have to use Facebook and connect them together.

    • Lydiainflorida

No it does not need facebook. There is a link below the facebook icon to sign up with your email address without going through facebook.

    • Cindy

I just signed up and I didn’t have to connect to my facebook.  :o)

      • mrs b

         Me too

  • Smithke17

signed up…now just need to set a reminder a year from now so i dont get charged lol!

  • Leslie0132

Do I just go through the registration process even though it says one free month?

    • Cindy

      Yes  :o)

    • From YaYa

At the end of the sign up you get a notification that says next billing date is 2/21/2013…so yes, it is one year at no charge.

  • gwennie

    Great deal, thanks!

  • Jtdjagos

I just signed up for the deal and looked at the coupons. I agree with Jenny, I would not pay for it but free is good. For anyone who is sad about missing the Kelloggs $5/5 coupon, there is a printable on here for $1 off Craze and $1 off Special K. I printed a total of 4 $1 off coupons that I can use at kroger this week to get $1 boxes of cereal.  There is also $1.25 off I can’t believe it’s not butter, and $1.50 off freschetta Pizza-again, not bad for free.

    • Barbara

I saw the Special K coupon & got excited til I saw it was for the crackers & chips. We love the Red Berries kind around here, and can’t keep it around. It’s one of the few things my hubby won’t accept a generic for.

      • Jtdjagos

sorry, i guess I was so excited I misread the coupon. oh well 2 cheap boxes of cereal beats full price.

    • Rk

Coupons.com now has SAVE $4.00 on Kellogg’s® Cereals
      on any 4 Kellogg’s Corn Flakes®, Raisin Bran®, FiberPlus®, Crispix®, Rice Krispi …

Just got it! Has a bunch of nice club coupons and it does go through as a year. when you click the link it says 30 days but then when it takes you to like it on FB it tells you a year.

  • Hmcgillem

Sweet deal! I’ll take this next year as a test to see if I save more than the $30 it costs for the extra coupons.

  • Marie

Free is definitely good.  It would not be worth it to pay for it.

  • http://mycouponbox.blogspot.com/ Idalyne

When I click on the picture it just gives me a list of printable web coupons and no sign-up offer?

    • Denise

click on the left side of page where it says Join the Savings or Club

  • Grocerys4us

It would be much appreciated if someone who has been a member of the Savings Club could share their experience. Are the coupons high value and timely? Long or short expiration dates? Thanks so much to someone who will share.

  • Zahranation

I keep trying to sign up, and after giving my email and clicking “sign up” it goes back to the “Click to Sign Up” page. I’ve tried using multiple browsers….

  • ireneY

To avoid the fees in a year, I wonder if it would accept an electronically-generated one-time use credit card number that expires in one month? My credit card offers that service online. Or you could use one of your Olay gift cards?

    • Chudson316

I was successful in signing up..and my card expires in June. :)

    • Nchoneybee

careful with the one time use card numbers. Discover #s are actually more like one-merchant use and have to be cancelled if you don’t want re-curring charges.  unfortunately I found that out the hard way!

  • Tloveless1

I have had this already for  a few months but have not been able to print the special club coupons.  They go to my printer and then I get an error on my printer.  Any one else had this problem?

  • Kycouponpop

I did sign up.  There seems to be some better coupons. The problem for me is that you have to sign up individually then with each manufacturer in order to receive their coupons.  I suppose you only have to do this once but it is a time consuming process.  I really wanted to just be able to clip the coupons.

  • Stephanie

I looked through the Terms and Agreement section, and it reiterates that after 30 days your credit card will be charged, so this “free year”could just be a typo. Be prepared to check your statement in 30 days for a charge.

    • mrs b

The email confirmation I got stated that it was the facebook promotion and good for a year, so I made sure I filed that email with my important confirmations.

  • Kbapatrick

When I click on it I also only get a list of coupons. It doesnt say anything about a membership. Any ideas on what to do?

  • lapcouponer

All i get is the list of coupons but nothing tp allow me to join. Any help is appreciated.

    • guest

I think you might have to have a coupon.com account. I signed up for coupons.com and then it allowed me to sign up for the savings club. I might be wrong but that is how I got it to work!

  • Alibridge

Just signed up for offer.  When you click on link above, it takes you to Coupons.com website. Look on left side of page for coupon Finder Savings Club offer. Initially it only mentions the 30-day free trial, but after you decide to accept offer, it offers the 1 year free information.

  • JPBMC

Mine says that I only get 30 days free.  Then its $3 a month or $30 a year.

    • Lhill2

IT says that on the ad, but when you click, it gives you a year free, not the one month

  • lapcouponer

You have to reduce the size of the screen and the offer will be in a burgundy border on the left hand  side of screen. Hope this helps

    • Wejewill

thank you – this worked for me. I pressed ctrl while scrolling the dial on my mouse to make screen size reduce. Red background was more visible with Join the Party info for the Savings Club.

  • Tblandin

I’m a little apprehensive of giving my cc# and having automatic renewal.  I don’t know if I will remember in a year, lol.

  • Bnethers

Got this and some GREAT coupons for shopping and saving!  Thanks!!

  • Taylor

They charged $1 to my account, now i want to know how to cancel.. and i CANNOT figure out how to cancel it. help!

    • Jamie

They did the same to me but it was immediatley credited back $1.  It is to make sure you have entered a valid CC#.

  • Kiimi9

I signed up and printed some great coupons I can double today at Harris Teeter.  I received an email stating next payment due in 2013.

Ok, so couple of things here.

    1) This is a Facebook promotion, if signing up using facebook you get the year promo.

    2) Below someone mentioned being freaked out by a 1 dollar charge.  That isn’t a charge but a placeholder so that the company can see if it is a valid card # and if you will have funds when they year membership is up.

    3) This is a good deal for a year.  I set up an email that will come to me January of next year reminding me to discontinue this if I so desire.

    • Taylor

That does make me feel a little better, but I still cant figure out how to cancel it, for when the time comes.

      • Jamie

Look at the FAQ it gives you explicit instructions on how to cancel the membership

    • Waxxyy1

how do you set up that email allert????? That would be so usefull

    • Ac4mail

Brian – I’d like to know how to set up this e-mail for the future as well!
Hope someone will help us out.
      Thanks,
      Amy

  • Rrobertson5

Does any one know if there is a “promo code” for this?  Is there any way of getting this deal without having to put in a cc#?

  • http://www.essentialconcepts.biz/ Moriah

I take advantage of alot of free trials & cancel everything I don’t want before the trial end date.  When I sign up, I put all relative information in a calendar reminder set for 2 days before the trial end date.  I may include screen shots of the trial sign up confirmation screen and always include a link to the page I will need to cancel or the phone # to call.  If you make this process a habit, you can safely take advantage of free trial offers.

    • Jerrad E

That’s exactly what I do.  For this I set the calendar alert 1 month in advance just in case.  Seeing the extra coupons that were made available may be worth the $3 per month saved…

    • Jtdjagos

Thanks, great idea. I usually stay away from this kind of stuff because I can’t keep track, but figured this time if I forget it will only bill me $3.  Your way is much better-I will start it tonight.

    • http://www.facebook.com/kimg7 Kim Smith Goodrich

What a great, helpful idea! Thanks! I usually mark it on my calender on the day it expires and several days before. I like your idea better. ;)

  • Maureen

I used a Credit Card that I got from a rebate offer. It is not tied to my credit. I hope Jenny will add these coupons to the Coupon DB.

  • http://budgetforbaby.blogspot.com/ Treesta

Awesome! Thanks! I signed up and am excited for access to more coupons!

  • Tlwoodbury

I signed up but did not get any coupon offers from it.

    • Tlwoodbury

Okay,  now I have access to the coupon offers.  And they are good. Half of them are great.  However,  the other half of them are offers that I can’t use because they are links to website coupons that I have already printed before,  and you can’t print them again.

  • Varn9899

don’t trust them, plus since I’ve had the trial month within the last year they won’t let me do it again

  • Zebby

I have tried the savings club coupons.  Not worth it to pay even 3 dollars a month with the selection of additional coupons offered, but for free, nothing to lose.

  • exie

Ok I joined so can someone tell me where or who to get to the good coupons that it was talking about. thanks for anything help
