Did you know the new Southern Savers mobile app now has a bar code scanner? Now you can comparison shop with other stores by using the bar code scanner and find a great deal. You can also use the app to shop for great deals online.
This wasn’t really designed with groceries in mind, but instead with Target and Toys R Us that price match online retailers in their stores. That means I can get the Amazon price right now in a local store… plus you can even use manufacturer coupons with it!
Let the app help you find the best deal out there. Scan the barcode of an item in Target or Toys R Us with the bar code scanner and you’ll instantly compare the price with Walmart, Amazon, Bestbuy and a few other online retailers while you’re there in the store! If you find a better price you can walk straight to customer service with the product and you’ve got the cheaper price right now.
Target will match the following Competitors:
Amazon.com, Target.com,Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, ToysRUs.com and BabiesRUS.com
Toys R Us will match these stores:
Walmart.com, Target.com, BestBuy.com, Sears.com, Kmart.com, buybuyBaby.com, Meijer.com, FredMeyer.com, diapers.com, BabyDepot.com, LEGO.com and Amazon.com
Here’s how to do it:
- Download the mobile app from the Apple or Google Play Store.
- Login and touch “Scanner” at the top of the page (android) or menu bar (iPhone).
- Open the scanner and use it to capture the bar code of your desired item.
- The app will search for similar items in other stores and you can then decide which deal is best for you.
Note: If you don’t have a barcode, but want to compare prices online. The app can do that too! Click on “Find Best Prices Online” and type in the keyword or name of what you are looking for!
