Can someone PLEASE tell me what I'm doing wrong? When I click on a coupon to print, it tells me to download the coupon printer. I do that, and I click on RUN (I've also tried it on SAVE). It shows that it's downloading and I click on AGREE (to terms) but then NOTHING! Nothing prints! ZIP! ZERO! This is sooooo frustrating because of all the great coupons I'm missing out on! Other coupons print that don't require that download (Food Lion, Target, etc). I think it says BRICK for the ones that I need to download the printer for. Please advise! Thanks soooo much! And thanks for this wonderful site! PS: I meant to mention that my mom (83 years young) received a postcard from Piggly Wiggly that said $10.00 off $40.00. I used it at Publix the other day. It was my 2nd time using coupons and my total came to $220.00. And I paid $50.00!!! YAY ME!!!! Thanks Jenny!!

I was having the same problem with my computer at first. I kept installing the coupon printer over and over, but it never worked. This is how I fixed the problem: I had to uninstall the coupon printer on my computer. Then I had to go back and reinstall the coupon printer. After I did this it worked fine! I don't know why, but it just did! I haven't had a problem since. Hope this helps because the printables are soooo important!!!!

        • kidsallgone

Thanks for the tip Janice! I did try what you said you did, but unfortunately for me (again) it did't work. Back to the drawing board…..

      • Lucy

Are you installing the coupon printer? After it downloads, you have to find the folder and double click on the file, it's going to install it that way. Then go back to the coupon website and try printing again.

        • kidsallgone

Well I found where the folder(?) was in my documents. It had a little cd looking thing next to it. I double clicked on it and all it did was bring me back to the “RUN” and “AGREEMENT” things…and then NOTHING. UGGGGGHHHHH!!! I need a little computer wizard to jump into my computer and figure out how to get that thing workin! I want those coupons! PLEASE if anyone knows anything that I can try, please let me know! And thanks so much for those that have replied here. I think my best bet is buying a baseball bat and giving it a good WHACK! Anyone got a coupon for one? LOL!

          • aram

            Do you have Windows 7?
I do, and I use Firefox, but I can't print any bricks coupons, it keeps saying that the coupon printer is not installed.
I solved it by using Internet Explorer. I can print them without problem using IE.
            HTH.

            • kidsallgone

I don't have Windows 7, and I've been using Internet Explorer to get to this website. Thanks for the tip though.

            • ywardlaw

I run a mac with firefox and sometimes run into issues with printing bricks coupons. I copy the bricks link, paste it into safari and they typically will print that way.

            • jennifr1966

This is the way I solved it, too, was through Internet Explorer. Some things are solved through Foxfire, while others are through Internet Explorer.
You can also upgrade to IE 8 now for free, I believe.

      • Owens6

I had the same problem…mine was fixed by allowing pop-ups on my computer. You have to enable them because the coupon installer needs you to “allow” it to run which comes up as a pop-up. It's annoying to allow them but for me it was the only way. Hope that helps!!

        • kidsallgone

My computer has always been set up to accept pop-ups.
          Now what…..?????

          • Faye

            This worked for me…

Turn the power off to your printer for 2 minutes. Clean out your history, cookies and temporary internet files. Turn the power on to your printer. Restart your computer and hopefully the printer and computer can “communicate” to each other again. Let me know if this works. Good luck!

            • LindaB

One thing that worked for me is to simply hold the Ctrl button down…

          • justincase1031

Not sure if this is going to be of any help, but I actually had to disable my Security software. I get all the coupons “clipped” and before I hit the print checked coupons button, I have to disable the software, then when I'm done printing, I go back in and enable it again. It's very frustrating for me because I seem to have to do this A LOT. Not just when I'm printing coupons. If you are running any type of security software on your computer, I would definitely try it.

            • kidsallgone

Thanks so much everyone for your suggestions. I've already tried 2 without any luck. I'll try these other suggestions and pray that one of them work. Keep the tips coming. I've got the baseball bat on standby.

            • wendypoovey

I am in the same boat. I can print from most of the websites. But I have never been able to print the Target coupons for the same reason you are explaining. I have tried all kinds of suggestions and still can't get it to work. I install and it even says it is installed, but NOTHING happens. Bummer.

            • stephanie

I had the same problem, I downloaded Google Chrome, it works great!

            • KB

You need to change one letter in the url…This is explained in several places if you google trouble printing coupons, on here as well, but the gist of it is if you can't print, get repeated messages about installing the printer, etc., either change the “y” in the center of your url to an “x,” if not, then to a “w,”, or change the center “x” or “w” to a “y”….This matches the coded instruction to your systerm…But I'd google something simple as “trouble printing coupons,” and find this explained better….Jenny explained it very clearly on this site a while back as well…

            • WhisperCat

There is one site that requires different printer settings than the others (I'm sorry I can't remember for sure if it's the bricks one or not). While most coupon sites require you to not keep anything in your printer's memory, one site requires you to do so (called “spooling”). Try this tip if the others don't work:
              -click on your start menu
              -click on printers and faxes
              -RIGHT click on your printer
-click on the “Advanced” tab on the top row
-somewhere in the middle you should have two selection circles 1)spool print documents or 2)print directly to printer. Look at which one is selected. SELECT THE OPPOSITE ONE and try to print the coupons again.

            • stephanie

I know first hand how upsetting this is, I downloaded Google Chrome, no more problems. Hope this helps

      • kelly1369

Also some of the anti-virus programs think of it is malware, check your log on your anti-virus too. I had a friend where it acted like it was downloading but the antivirus was blocking it.

      • Lucy

Then it might be that your computer protection, anti-virus software, or firewall prevents the installation. I do not know which one you have, but that was a problem for me sometimes. Try opening your antivirus software and see if it says anything. On my computer, when I opened it, it showed the coupon printer as a threat, that's why it wouldn't completely install. You have to allow your computer to install it. I don't know if that's what the problem is, but sure hope it helps!

      • jennifr1966

I'd love to read a “brag” on you, where you show what you bought and the coupons used.

      • kermnelmo

I hope you figure something out. My sister has the exact same problem. We've tried everything on her computer and she still can't print anything. I was thinking it might have something to do with her anti-virus/spyware program, but we tried turning everything to do with that off and still nothing. If something works for you can you post on here so maybe I can try it on her computer ? Thanks and good luck ! ;o)

    • dillard_christina

Hooray! Purina One and Post cereals both before the Publix sales end! I'll be buying multiples this weekend . . .

      • druthb00

Don't forget the free milk when you buy 4, I did this again today. I bought 4 Honey Bunches on BOGO, used 2 of the coupons in the papers, and got 1 gal. milk, all for $5.98

    • I'm going to frame these and hang them when my husband's at work and see how long it takes him to notice when he gets home!

    • another tip that work for me, I had to uninstall the Java console and upgraded to the new version, after that it didn't ask me to reinstall the printer.

      • KB

Thanks so much! I'm trying everyone's suggestion this evening so that I can reload tomorrow for the 1st of the month's coupons.

    • nikki

I just bought 2 papers, and didnt get a smart source section what so ever………ughhhh

      • LindaB

I bought 3 papers in Tampa, FL (Tampa Tribune or St. Pete Times) no SS inserts!!! What's going on?

        • druthb00

I have the St Pete Times delivered and I actually got 2 SS inserts….I wonder what's up?

    • sarawallace

Good luck finding the insert this week in the Greenville News (Greenville, SC). I sent my daughter in to get 2 papers and we got home empty handed. The store was gracious enough to refund me my money!

      • CassandraK

My local Walgreens had signs up saying there were no coupons in the newspapers and the clerk told me home delivery gets the coupons first. I have no idea if I should go searching for somewhere with a paper or not. :(

      • CassandraK

I found papers at the hot spot on augusta road heading towards moonville. HTH

    • neely74

I just got my Sunday paper delivered in Birmingham and I have no coupon insert??!! I am so mad!!

      • skflbeaches

    • gina4ever0

These coupons was not in the chattanooga times and free press this week.. .. I was sure hoping they would be.. I got 1 smart source with a few coupons.

    • Gina

Can someone tell me when the printable coupons from coupons.com smart source and red plum start over? We’ve had the same ones for a month now and I’ve reached my limit on the ones I wanted.

    • norma

no inserts in the Tennessean that was home delivery.. drats!!!

    • ywardlaw

I ordered the State paper for home delivery in order to get the coupons. Today I got a chewed up page with the Activia coupon and a chewed up page with the lens crafters coupon and nothing else. Going to call them tomorrow. Not a great insert for me anyway.

    • sostinkinhappy

The Virginia Gazette had the SS insert in it – we picked ours up at Farm Fresh yesterday.

    • WhisperCat

Dang it! Got 2 papers just for the Purina coupons and no Purina coupons in my local SS insert. At least my paper had the insert. I see many of you didn't get them. BTW I'm in Bowling Green, KY.

    • CassandraK

Heads up GREENVILLE, sc people..papers with smart source insert were found at Hot Spot on augusta road heading towards moonville..I don't know the exact address..couldn't find a website for hot spot. They still had maybe ten or more when I stopped and got my two :)

    • cheryl

I live in Ringgold Georgia and I get the Times Free Press from Chattanooga and the Daily Citizen from Dalton. The coupons today were not worth the gas and three dollars I spent not to mention that the Dalton paper didn't bother to even put any in there. But then they are like that. It's like if they are in the mood you can have coupons and if they are not then forget it and the people that work there are not the nicest people you will ever deal with. Let's just hope next week is better!

    • jennifr1966

Is the Charlotte Observer coupons worth it for 2/28?
I have the chance to buy a second paper, but when I looked, they didn't seem necessary. (I don't a baby, so I don't need diapers.) Did anyone else her get the Observer? If so, I'd love your opinion! Thanks!!

    • Bridget

Hey Jenny I don't know if this is legit but I found this website. http://www.couponsthingsbydede.com Do you know anything about it? It sells coupon inserts really, really cheap.

    • Kelly

I agree…I get the Chatt. Times Free Press…the coupons were totally not worth it!

    • Karen219

I bought the State paper at a local stand and it did not have any coupons. My dad brought home the local paper from my Grandma's and it did have an insert. Was there any inserts in people's delivered State papers?
