It looks like you can't apply any other coupon to the deal. It states that the minimum purchase of $3 must be met with purchases to which no other coupons or instant savings offer applies.  It's still a good deal though because you'd only pay .99 for tape and you'd get the paper for free.

      • Generally for Staples and other office supply stores they are referring to no other store coupons.  Remember they will always get reimbursed for manufacturer coupons no matter what other coupons are used.

    • Tracey

THANK YOU! I just ran out last night! I save my paper from cutting the coupons, so I was printing one coupon at a time til I could get out to the store and replace it, so this was an AWESOME find for me today. Thanks for sharing!!! :)

    • yortski

By the way, thanks for sharing the $3 off coupon, Jenny!

    • CTaylor

I have been needing glue sticks and scotch tape!  Thanks Jenny! :)

    • guest

My coupon says it can't be used with any other instant savings offer.  Does that mean  regular priced items only?

    • tammy

Since you can you print more than two of these each, do you know if they will let you use them.

    • Tracie Vickers

Thanks!  I really needed some paper and tape.  Was going today, but now I get it free!!!

    • Hnaboone

My first thought was trading card holders!! To hold more Q's!!

    • Hnaboone

Offer says that no oter Q can be used with this offer.

    • Thank you!  School supply lists always have printer paper on them.  I have a jumpstart.

    • Joylrhodes

I was just there this week and they had tons of school supplies on clearance at my store.  Great time to get your craft items stocked up at home for the kiddos!

    • Meme

New to staples deals.  How does the easy rebate work? Is it instant or do iI mail stuff off?

      • Tracey

All you have to do is apply for their rewards program, make your purchase and the rebate will print on the receipt.  Then you go online and apply for the rebate which takes 4 to 6 weeks.

    • KT

      thank you so much!

    • Thank you Jenny!

    • KT

These coupled with the Staples coupon could get you some serious savings on labels for your coupon organizers!

    • Shdmbuddies

      Thank you!!

    • bellatrentavasi

can you use more than one?

    • Lucy2778

The coupon WORKED! Yay! And you do not have to buy paper or tape… my Staples had LOTS OF USEFULL HOUSEHOLD ITEMS! I bought dish detergent, dusters, and foil wrap, paid $0.00 after coupon, not even tax! They have *clorox wipes, wet mopping cloths, dish detergent, foil wrap, plastic bags, freezer bags, trash bags, glass cleaner, bathroom cleaner, lollipops, pencils/erasers/clips ALL FOR A $1 EACH. So get 3 items free!!!! You can probably tell I haven't been this excited for a long time.

      • bellatrentavasi

Were you able to use more than one coupon?

        • Lucy

Just used one, the store was empty with one cashier and I thought it wouldn't be nice to use more. will use more tomorrow though

    • Kristin

      Worked for me.

    • Lovenchrist4evr

Warning: I tried to use the coupon more than once, they called the manager who was very upset. She told me I could only use 2 even though they do not have any such writen limitation and neither did the coupon. She was very rude. I was only using 4 and did not beileve that was unreasonable.

      • bellatrentavasi

That's what worried me. I didn't see any limitation either. I called the store and I'm waiting for them to call me back. It's a good deal either way, but I'd love to stock up on paper. I just don't want to be harrassed if I try buying two or three.

        • Crunk5

It does say limit one coupon per customer per day on the right hand side of the printout.

          • Lovenchrist4evr

            Not on my print out.

            • Blink_11

They all say the same thing, stop trying to justify your greed.

            • Sophia

              Blink_11 is right.

It states clearly on the coupon “Limit 1 coupon per customer per day. No cash/credit back. Tax is not included in calculating the minimum purchase….”

This is how good coupon deals get ruined – by greedy people and/or people who ignore the fine print.

            • Ashkidxl

              Actually, when they first released it, there was no limit, so I printed a copy, and it worked successfully after I used it at Staples. They adjusted it afterward though. (;

      • fishsymbol

I am not surprised that manager was rude. I would think even if there was an element of vagueness in the coupon wording $12.00 for free is a bit much. If every couponer did that think how much it would cost the company.

        • Lovenchrist4evr

The company sent out the coupon so they should make sure to put limits on it.

          • fishsymbol

It is the company's  mistake but  we know as couponers  mistakes are often made on advertisements. So to keep this coupon thing going, it is often going to be on our plate to not take advantage when mistakes are made. The quote is “treat others how you would want to be treated”.

    • Sarah

the coupon that pops up, on the side print it says “1 per customer per day” so I guess that means you cant use more than one, even in separate transactions..? maybe I'll try just to see

    • Kay

      Staples 8.5 x 11 Copy Paper, 500 sheets $2.99:

This is actually 5.99. You have to send in a rebate form to get the $3.

    • Michelle

Staples also has Deer Park 24 pk water on sale this week for $3.99.  If you use your $3 off coupon, it makes it .99 cents.  I just did it today and it worked great!  I only used two coupons today though, no problem at all from the cashier!

    • Caroline

Of course it can't be used on ink!  That's the only thing we NEED right now.  Every time I print a coupon I'm afraid it will be the last.  Any suggestions on best place to get cheap ink??

      • Tiffany Meyers

Get your cartridges refilled at any office supply center and most drug stores. around 10 bucks a cartridge.

      • Bella_trentavasi

I've started buying the refill kits. They run about $20.00 and can be messy, but they have enough ink for 6 refills. Plus some kits are universal, so it doesn't matter what kind of printer you have. They void warranties(a consideration for a new machine) but they save you a lot in the long run. $20 (for 6 refills) vs. about $180 (new cartridges).

Buy a laser printer – the toner lasts FOR-EVER!

    • Trusilowicz

Thanks!  I got my daughter three of those $1 items for free… she was so excited to get a “special” and I enjoyed giving it to her!  Our Staples has those “ABC, 123” dry erase boards, play money, puzzles, etc. for $1 so free and educational… love it!

    • Dawen

I tried to use the $1 off coupon on the 99 cent tape today and I was told I couldn't since the coupon exceeded the price of the tape. Anyone else run into this? He said it was Staples' coupon policy. I didn't know they had one, and I can't find it.

Anyone have a link to the coupon?

    • Melissa M

I don't know if it is just our Staples in Tampa or what…but I've only shopped there three times (it's out of the way–I used to shop at Staples a lot in Orlando, but just moved here) and all three times were due to something that Jenny posted–a deal on paper, or this $3 coupon…and all three times I've had problems. Today, the cashier didn't like my  tape coupons. I used the 'packaging' tape one to buy 'shipping' tape (although in the picture the item picture is of of 'shipping' tape) and then used the $1 off on the Magic tape, in the funky dispenser…she said it wasn't the right kind. It says 'any one Magic tape'. I offered to buy the larger packs, as they don't sell single rolls of Magic tape at this Staples…3 packs or 2 packs, but she said no to that…and then the manager would not help at all. I just won't be back. He's the same manager that argued with me before over the sale paper (it was $4 with an easy rebate of $3)–he said it wasn't on sale when it clearly was in the ad…and I went back a few days later and it was marked…ugh.  :)

      • Sophia

Which Staples did you go to in Tampa?

I just went to the 1 by USF & it worked fine although the cashier would not let me buy (3) $1 6pk boxes of trash bags which = $3 total she said I needed more to use the coupon even though it says on the coupon “minimum purchase of $3 or more” I don't like causing scenes about coupons in public so I just grabbed another box.

        • Melissa M

It's the one on Dale Mabry…by Best Buy? I was really embarrassed. I'm like you, I hate to cause a fuss, and she was the only checker open…several people behind me.  Ugh.

    • Ebroyles2001

In Greeneville, Tn the staples have limited the coupon to one coupon per customer per day.

      • Kimcgriffin

They've done the same at all location. My cashier was nice and let ms use 2 :)

    • KJ

I can't locate the coupon.  Is it still available?

    • pokadot101

I can't find the $3.00 coupon, where is it? Please help.

    • Angie

I cant find the $3 coupon

    • annoyed mom

Just got back from Staples and they told me that customer actually meant “household” because each of my children were buying something and that wasn't allowed.  I said fine just don't ring up my stuff I'll pay the difference on theirs since they were excited to be shopping for a $3 item.  She said “no, that's okay.” Like that made me feel less annoyed that they consider customer as household and she was doing me a favor.

    • davidfletchar
