    • Amy_Q

      Jenny-
Let me start by saying THANK YOU for all you do! You have helped me save my family SO much money! I don't know how you do everything you do for us AND raise your precious family, but I thank you.
Maybe I have overlooked it, but is there anywhere on your site that we can find a “master” coupon list? I would LOVE to be able to print out an alphabetical list of what is in my inserts to put in my coupon filing system. That way, if I need a specific product that perhaps isn't at it's lowest price, thus not on your lists, I can check my list to see if I have any Qs.
Thanks again for everything you do!

      • ajkraft

What I do is print out the “Coupn Insert Variations” each week and keep that with each insert, crossing off the ones I clip so I know what's still in there. HTH :-)

        • Amy_Q

Thanks. I had thought about that, but just wondered if there was a place where all the list were together that I had missed. What is the easiest way to print the list out? If I just print the page, won't I get all the extras like comments and ads? How do you do it?

          • ajkraft

Because I get the AJC, when you click on the AJC link a new window opens up with just the variation page, and I print that.

            • Amy_Q

Oh, thank you. I just found that! But it doesn't look like there is one for each week, or am I missing something? Does Jenny do this every week, or just sometimes?

            • ajkraft

Yep- there's one for every week. Go to the “Weekly Inserts” tab, then scroll through the threads to find each week's variations. Click on the link for each week, then click on your paper's link to get the variation list for printing. Good luck!

            • Amy_Q

Ah, If it had been a snake, it would have bitten me! Thanks for pointing out the obvious to me! You just made my life a bit easier :-)

      • crystalbrothers

What I do is print the main list from a site like this. Then, I go through my inserts and I highlight them as I find them in my particular insert. Then, I black out the ones that I didn't get so that I'll know they aren't in there. Then, I file I have found this works out so much better for me than cutting and sorting all the individual coupons like I used to do. ANd, it is actually much easier for me to find an individual coupon, and I can see right away if it is or isn't included in my insert.

        • carolyn090

that is the best idea evr, ive been going bck at the start of each new sale and going thru each dated folder.what a time saver this will be,i cant thank you enuff!!!!

        • Amy_Q

          Thanks you!

      • dgram41

I keep a database in Excel — I'm a pretty fast typist & I know all of Excel's “bells & whistles”. Takes me 2 seconds to see if I have a coupon.

        • Barb

An Access file might be better than a flat file when trying to cross-reference to other keys such as expiration date, date of insert, product size, etc

        • Amy_Q

Oooh! I need to learn Excel!!!

    • crystalbrothers

Yeah, I'm in one of the areas that usually gets maybe half of the listed coupons.

    • savysaver

How do I find out when prices are at the lowest for Kroger? We don;t have any of the other stores in KY (at least not Lexington, maybe Louisville).

      • crystalbrothers

I'm in the same boat. I'm in a rural town about 1 hour from Lexington. Our only real chain grocery is Kroger. I'm not sure what you are asking though.

        • savysaver

People talk about a 6 week cycle and buying when prices are at their lowest. How do I know what is the lowest price for an item. I'm sure there is a master list somewhere where prices have been tracked. Yeah-I'm in Versailles and we have Kroger, CVS and Kmart. I so wish she covered Meijer stores. They have some great deals.

          • crystalbrothers

There are other blogs that do cover meijer stores. I'm not sure if I would be allowed to link them in a comment or not, but they are out there. Southern Savers is the best for kroger and rite aid though for sure (we only have kroger, rite aid, and cvs)

            • savysaver

Could you tell me the blogs for Meijer on my personal email.
              It is susanbeth98@yahoo.com

I have tried to find some and I did find one once and forgot to write it down. I'm sure I miss good savings every week from Meijer by just overlooking them.

              Thanks,
              Susan

          • Amy_Q

If I'm not mistaken, when Jenny posts her lists on here, she only list the BEST deals, ie: the lowest prices. So, my guess is that if it is listed on her Kroger list, it's a pretty good deal.

            • Brittney

Well, if she is in the south, they don't have Meijer, so that would be a good reason not to list it.

    • Melissa H

Soooo excited about the upcoming q's on Gain detergent and fab softener … They hardly ever have any and they're almost always only .25 or .50 … Yay for $1 q's! Thanks Jenny!!!

    • Theresa

Does anyone in the Chattanooga area know how to get the AJC? They have so many great Q's in there…

      • Freedom

I agree, If anyone finds a place that sells AJC nearby please let us know. They used to around here until it got to expensive to deliver to area stores

        • Qponning

Everybody around here says Rome is as far as they deliver to the stores nowaday.
I'm in Lafayette and I'd love to get the Atlanta Journal for the coupons too. Soooo many more than what we get in the CNFP.

    • mariek

FYI- Ore Ida are 3/$5 this week at the Pig. Sale is through the 23rd. Hashbrowns are part of the sale. So if you get the $1 Q you can use this towards earning the 10 GBX.

    • kidsallgone

I have a question about a RITE AID Clairaol Hair Color coupon (at least i THOUGHT it was a coupon) that I brought to Publix the other day. The coupon said: 7.99 Reg price, -2.00 in ad coupon, -2.00 manuf coupon, 3.99 final price. I brought the coupon thinking that it would be a COMPETITOR'S coupon for 2.00; but they said it was a price-match coupon and wouldn't honor it. Publix had it on sale for 5.99 and I had a manuf coupon for 1.00 off, so it wasn't a total loss; but would have loved to have gotten that extra 2.00 off. I questioned it (nicely) but when denied, just smiled and said, “OK.” In general, it was not a great day at Publix in regards to their service. There customer service people wouldn't give me a raincheck for the Sure Deoderant (and one or two other items) because it wasn't on sale!! (grrrrr) My cashier was really really slow and people behind me were giving me the “evil eye,” my bagger-girl kept questioning my coupons and kept taking them to the manager to get his approval, and the manager kept denying the (3) coupons that he looked at. On a brighter note, my total was $242.00 and I paid $110.00!! So I don't want to sound ungrateful, because I'm not. I love Publix and no matter what, will still shop there over any other store. So I guess my question is whether that Rite Aid “coupon” was really a coupon or a price-match. It even had the little dotted lines around it. Sorry this is so long. Thanks for any replies.

      • Laurie

The Publix I go to doesn't consider drugstores to be competitors.

      • carolyn090

the rite- aid was a coupon . i was really thinking you were going to say that they told you that they couldnt take it because rite aid isnt a competitor .i havent ever taken a drugstore coupon to the publix i shop at, but i read on here that alot of stores will take them. i guess is just depends on what each persons def. of compeditor is ,i think of it like this, who ever has the item i want at the cheapest price w/ or w/ out coupons wins my buisness so it doesnt matter much to me who they think their compeditors are . here lately publix has gotten really picky about the coupons that they will take. they wouldnt take a johnsons coupon because the item i was buying wasnt shown on the front. so i showed them a coupon i had for olay that was a coupon for dollars off one product and then it pictured a completely different one.

      • jessica

That is a coupon. I can't believe that the manager said it was a price-match! He/She needs to be educated about coupons! I would call Corporate if I were you.

I would also try another Publix if you have more than one nearby. I have found it's worth it for me to drive a little further to a more customer-friendly, coupon-friendly Publix, unless I'm only getting a few things (in which case I just hit my closest one.)

      • Leigh

I had a similar issue with a Walgreens price match. They said the honor competitor coupons…but do not consider Walgreens/Rite Aid etc. competitors……just places like Kroger, Winn Dixie, etc.

    • Lynette

I am new to Southern Savers and am already addicted!! I have always used coupons, but this takes it to a whole new level!

I was trying to see the differences between the weekly inserts among southern newspapers, but the link appears to be broken. Is this information located elsewhere on the site?

      • rydergal

It does appear to be broken. At the top of the page, click the far right button under the Southern Savers logo titled “Weekly Inserts”, then click on “Regional Coupons”. That will take you where you want to go :)

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=589252284 Evangeline Bungie Andrews

How are you all organizing all the printable Q's you print out??? I think I got a bit printing happy!

    • maggie

I wasn't sure where to put this question… do any of you use grocerysavers.com? I heard an ad on the radio for their coupons and I called, but balked when they wanted my credit card. I looked at the site and it seems like it could be a good deal but I was just wondering if any of you had any experience with the site.

Also, if you do buy coupons online like this, how do you know there will be a sale on the item you bought 10 coupons for before they expire?

      Thanks!!

    • foreb

i never find the inserts in the amount you claim in charlotte observer. are the paper boys keeping them for themselves? it is very frustrating when i am trying to make my few dollars go farther.

      • pgibb76

I got the charlotte newspaper yeasterday in Oak Island and I had 3 inserts in it. The RP, SS and the HB one.

    • Marie

I bought 2 papers and no St. Ives coupons in The Huntsville Times. :(

    • Carolyn

I'm getting sick and tired of the Chattanooga Times free press not having the coupons I want. How can I get a Saint Ive's Coupon?

    • Tina

Am I the only one in Birmingham that did not get over half of the listed coupons. I was excited when I saw the list but after I got home with my 10 papers from the dollar store I was disappointed. Over half of the coupons listed were not there. I really wanted and needed the Noxema, Scrubbing Bubbles, Schick and several others there were not there.
The Smart Source was a major dissapointment!!!

    • Christy

Very disappointed to find that the AJC only had the Redplum insert with maybe 4 good coups. I live on the Alabama line (in Ga) so I went into AL and got another paper and same deal…… Very frustrating didn't get the Gain coupons or the board game coupons!!!!!!

      • Tina

I will mail you the board game coupons and I believe I have a few Gain coupons if you want. I was very upset that we did not get he Noxema coupons in Alabama. jnjtaxi@charter.net

    • josiept

Look @ the southsavers weekly cpn list Sunday morning, bought my paper & was very surprised to find 1/2 the coupons listed weren't there. Really wanted the Maxwell House cpn. Where can I go to get one??? It's on sale @ walgreens, K-mart and Ingles. Help!

    • kayborkowski

Hi all, I get the Greenville SC paper. I can't find the St Ives coupon in SS. Anyone else?

    • Melissa H

Bummer … Didn't get the Gain q's in my inserts … If anyone did get them and won't use them, and are willing to pass them on, could you let me know? Thanks!

    • couponcrazy6

I live in Chattanooga. Does anyone know where I can get the AJC?
