Catch a new coupon for Family Dollar Stores, get $5 off your next purchase of $25 or more.  I’m not a big family dollar shopper, but they can be great for the true necessities in life like socks, trash bags etc.  Grab things you need and basically save 20% off with the coupon.

The coupon is valid 11/20 through 11/22.

I am a frequent family dollar and dollar general couponer. Both places regularly offer store coupons for ordinary things like trash bags, paper towels, etc., and they can stack with manufacturer coupons. Combine this with one of the 5 off 25 offers that both places offer regularly (dollar general has them every Saturday, and you can get the same good deals as drug stores with no ups, ecbs, or rrs needed. BTW the dollar general thanksgiving ad has libby veggies for 40 cents a can. Paired with the dollar off four coupon from a couple weeks ago, thats 20 cents a can!!!

Does dollar general have coupons like this and where can I find them? Thanks!

Yes they do. They typically do it every other week. You can get it by either a shopping during the week and it’ll print on your receipt or b just keep checking their website. Their website normally has other coupons on it too.

Our BiLo in middle Georgia accepts these as competitor coupons.  Use this coupon prior to handing over your manufacturer’s coupons.

Our BiLo in Easley, SC also take these as competitor coupons!  Dollar General too!

Bilo in Anderson, SC also accepts these coupons but on my last visit using the coupon from Publix (sent in the mail) they deducted the coupon only after using all other coupons. My total at that point had to be $30. That was a switch from weeks before.

my publix takes family dollar, Pensacola Fl

And my Dollar General accepts Publix coupons – which is super for me since Publix offers GREAT coupons and we don’t have a Publix. This worked out really well for me this evening when I purchased the HUGE Maxwell House coffee canister tonight on sale for an amazing $5.50 and I had a Publix $1.00 coupon tonight. yay for me!

    • Using coupons at my Family Dollar is like pulling teeth, plus they want the 5 of 25.00 coupons to be rang up after all other coupons, which means I HAVE to have 25.00 worth after coupons- then a lot of times the register will ‘mess up’ if you have more coupons than items (like if you try to use store coupons.)  The last time I went in, I was at check out for about an hour while they tried to figure out how to ring up my order.  It’s just not worth it to me to shop there.  The coupon is always so tempting though.

I REEEEEALLY had a BAD experience at Family Dollar yesterday….I’ve Q-poned for many years; but confess I watch Extreme Couponing for tips…(I know the show is over dramatized so that retailers are on TV) but a couple weeks they had a Q-poner purchase Reach toothbrushes/floss and she got them FP(final price) FREE…I had same q-pon and I was not clearing the shelf or buying 300..Qty 15…and the cashier (who was the only employee I could find) would not honor the Qpon….

I am a Family Dollar assistant manager and really sad to hear cashiers will not take your coupons. We recently had a training on coupons and that stated that we can take as many coupons as you have, so don’t let someone tell you otherwise. The problem with the 5 of 25 ringing last is that the computer/registers are set up this way. There is no way to override – I have tried it many ways…. it just refuses. Any store coupon is taken off after totaling – no way to take it off prior. But, you can get a lot of really good deals stacking our coupons and man’s.

Does Family Dollar have an official coupon policy of any kind?  I tried to buy diapers with a store coupon stacked with a manufacturer coupon,  but the register beeped and the cashier said I could not use both coupons.  So I went to another store.
