    • Susan

I would love to win one. I couldn’t even begin to tell you how much I save each month in groceries—hundreds. Most weeks, I end up spending less than $30 with all my coupons! Thanks for everything you do for us, Jenny!

      • Kim

I do not really have a grocery budget but I would guess I spend around 50-75 a week. Before couponing and Publix bogo’s I would guess it was more like 115 a week. Thanks!

        • amy

Since using your site I have been able to cut my grocery expenses by 60-65%. That is huge!! Thanks!

      • Amber

Just found out about this site. My budget is around $500. We have food allergies and have to buy lots of specialty items. The savings In just two weeks from this GREAT site have been crazy!! Love it!

        • Tonya

We have food allergies, too, which makes shopping so expensive. Thanks to Jenny, we’ve saved a lot. Now if only we could get coupons for the foods my kids can have!

      • Bridgette

For a family of 5 our monthly budget is about $250. With your help, it doesn’t cost nearly that much. I went to Publix a couple of weeks ago armed with your list and all the coupons. Before savings, it was over $60. I paid $1.90!! That is awesome!!

      • Megan

Well I’m new to Couponing but because of this site, I’ve saved at least 50% on every grocery bill!!! I was a little reluctant at first, but since I’m a stay at home mom, I treat it like a job…it’s my money contribution to the family!!! Needless to say, it’s a big help to my husband who has the only income. Hopefully, I’ll continue to learn more and get even better!!! Thanks Southern Savers for all the help and these wonderful gifts!!!! Hope I win!!! : )

      • Sheila

I generally save at least half of whatever the bill would have been before coupons and sales, but sometimes I save more than half. I usually spend around $100 and save about $60. Of course, some months I spend much more, but this is an average.

      • Amanda

Budget is ~$200 per month for groceries, toiletries, and cleaning supplies. Thanks Jenny for helping me provide the best for my family without breaking the bank.

      • I am loving all the holiday savings. I have finished all my shopping and still have a few dollars in the “gift” envelope. Thank you for your help!

      • Beth Randolph

ispend aroung 80 a week andalways try to save 30-50%

      • Jen

Actually, I am new at this, but was so happy about saving 28 dollars at Publix yesterday, thanks for all your hard work!!!

      • janet

I just recently attended a couponing workshop and found this site. It’s been amazing how much I have saved in only a few trips. My monthly spending on groceries had been around $500 in the past, so I’m anxious to see how much I can reduce it. Recently, I’ve gotten free tylenol, kleenex, sandwiches, cocoa, and more and have paid only cents for some items. It’s such a great feeling……I skip out of the store with a big smile on my face…LOL! I haven’t tried the CVS and Walgreens shopping with the ECB and RRs yet. I’m going to try that this coming week. Thanks Jenny, I love this site.

      • Penny Sharpton

I am a stay at home mom that is in school and my monthy budget is about 70 a week or 280 a month. We are a one income family so couponing has allowed me to get everything plus some. I love ur site thanks!:)

    • Lori

My budget is around $200/month but I’ve been coming in closer to $150/month lately :-) Thanks for all u do for us!

    • M Rose

    • Lane

My monthly grocery budget target is $250, but I aim for $50 a week. I’m averaging about $54 a week. My savings at this point is 76%, thanks to you and your work here, Jenny!

    • margie

Thank you for everything you do for so many of us. Great deals. some weeks are good and some not so good.

    • Tiffany Brown

I have a budget of $150/month but after finding Southern Savers we normally stay under $75/month!!! At first, my husband was skeptical but he is a true believer now! Thank you so much for all your hard work!!

    • Momof2 (Greer)

My grocery budget per month is about $100 per month & that is a big drop considering it was $400+ per month. Thanks for everything Jenny.

    • Kara

I budgeted just under $350 per month but found I average $280 (mostly thanks to your match-ups and my mother-in-law pulling the coupon inserts from her Sunday paper).

    • Alisa D.

I probably save about $200-400 a month all thanks to your hard work! Thank you and Merry Christmas!

    • Marnie

I have a monthly of about $275 – some weeks good, some weeks not so good.

    • Rhonda Crocker

I would love to win this, I would help out my sister and her 3 kids. She is a single mom who recently lost her job and home.

      Thanks for the great giveaway.

    • Debbie

I am over “budget” every month – just started following your site and am excited by how much I’ve saved in such a short time already. I hope to get my amount spent down to $400/500 per month for our family of seven.

    • Jody

My grocery budget is about $300 a month!!!! Which is great for a family of 5. I have so much food in the house. I am so so thankful!!! =)

    • I’ve been saving over $300/month at Publix! My budget is about $175/month.

    • Mommyofqc

My grocery savings is probably 80% to 90% a month. I am at total ease now when I go to the grocery store. It use to be a pain.

    • Jennifer

I have just recently starting doing this so I am still learning the ropes. We usually spend about $400 a month on groceries, but we have been saving so much lately. It is also hard to tell because I buy things when they are on sale now and not necessairly when we need them. But it is worth it!

    • rydergal

Before couponing and Southern Savers, I used to spend roughly $150/wk on groceries. Now it’s generally closer to $40. And we usually have oodles of extras that we donate to a local food bank, so we aren’t the only ones that get fed from this tiny budget! THANKS so much to you Jenny for all of your hard work!!!

    • Deb – Clemson

My budget is between $100 and $150 a month. I save 50%-75% a month by using coupons….so it makes it easy to say within my budget. I sure hope I win.

    • Sandy Jordan

My monthly grocery budget is about $300 a month!

    • Missy

I’ve made my husband a believer with all the money we’ve saved. He is amazed at how full our pantry is now. We used to spend about $250/week before I found the world of couponing — now we probably spend about $200/month. Whoo hoo! :)

    • Tara

My monthly budget is about $200, but since I just started couponing I’ve saved a lot!

    • Kim

Thanks for all your hard work Jenny! My grocery bill seems huge compared to your previous posters! We dropped our grocery budget by 500.00 last month (that’s including diapers, formula and misc. baby stuff) WOW!

    • Carrie

We spend about about $500 a month for 5. My goal for this next year is to get it to $300 a month. It will be hard since we live in a small Florida town and our Publix doesn’t double coupons nor considers any other store as a competitor except Winn Dixie and Save-A-Lot. After reading what others are able to save, it almost makes me wish we lived in another state (or at least a bigger town so we could use more competitor coupons).

    • Rachel

We spend about one hundred to one fifty for four adults in one month. But that’s including drug stores as well.

    • I have a weekly budget of $150 for EVERYTHING. I try to spend about $75 on groceries, but there is the wiggle room since I have $150 in cash. Some weeks I am over and some weeks I am under. The cash system was the best thing we have done for ourselves in a long time.

    • Before couponing I spent $400 – $500 per month in groceries, however, now I spend about $200 – $250 per month.

    • Joy Gobble

I used to spend about $90 a week and I thought I was pretty thrifty, but now (thanks to Southern Savers and others) I spend less than $50!

    • Laurie

My budget is $600 per month. However, I have not been an avid “Saver” for the groceries. That is my New Year’s resolution to do Grocery saving more.

    • Kim

My monthly grocery budget is down to around $250.00. It was about double that before Southern Savers!!!! Working on getting it to $200, but thankful for $250.00.

    • We save so much money. some weeks. i don’t even really purchase anything unless it is free, besides bread and milk and the stuff you can’t do without no matter what the price. thanks for all you do. pick me pick me.

    • Trisha

100 there is only two of us! Thanks to you i save save save

    • Andrea

I’m a newbie at coupons and I’ve saved so much by using this website. My monthly bill was about $450 a month with 4 kids but now it’s down to about 125-175 a month.. Great savings!!! Thanks so much Jenny!!

    • Vicki

What a prize this would be…!!! I usually spend around $25 to $30 a week, sometimes less. A couple of weeks ago at Publix I spent $37.00 for $138.00 worth of groceries. I know some have done better, but that was my best so far and my husband and I were thrilled. It really was so much fun..!!! Our pantry is FULL. Jenny you will never know how much this has meant to me and my family. Thank you for all that you do for us. MERRY CHRISTMAS

    • sarah

Our budget is about $500 a month. I’m new to this site, so I hope to decrease that as I learn the ropes. Thanks for all you do!

    • Daddy0

My budget is about $100 to $115 per month thanks to coupons & your site.

    • Shawn H

We budget between $300 – $400 a month (including pet supplies). I have watched my savings increase exponentially since finding Southern Savers. My husband wants me to tell all of his friends wives about it too! Thanks!

    • Shelley

      YOU ROCK JENNY!!!!

    • Carmen Simmons

      Monthly budget-$400
But try to keep it under $200 so I can dump the extra savings over into vacation!

    • sarah

      just twittered about it!

    • Bobbie

I am spending about $50 per week, but am saving much more than that. Thanks to you, Jenny.

    • Laura

I usually spend about $75 a week on groceries, meds and toiletries, but want to get to $60. I am fairly new to couponing, but get a high from the money we are saving and my hubby especially likes it!! Thanks for all you for all of us who follow your blog! Merry Christmas!

    • Audrey

I was spending about $75 to $100 a week and now it’s usually $30 to $50 a week thanks to Southern Savers. I love couponing and appreciate all the work you do for all of us, Jenny!

    • Erin Dixon

I try to stick to $90/week ($45 is from a buying club for organic produce, I feel it’s worth it to have someone do that part of the shopping for me ;)), but it’s starting to go down since I have my stockpile almost up to par. How much saved? Too much to count, I’ll just post today’s Publix: OOP-$60 Saved-$104, not including $10 rebate. I love Jenny!!

    • Jenni

I try to spend $200 a month in groceries for myself, husband and son (who is 15 months). I save so much on my groceries plus I use the commisary for my meat purchases which really helps me save big! I love your site!!! Thanks for all your hard work.

    • Heather

My budget is $200 a month but I am spending way less than that now!

    • Lauren

We used to spend around $200 a week on groceries (including diapers and formula). Now, thanks to coupons and Southern Savers, we only spend an average of around $30 a WEEK! Hurray for savings!

    • Jenni

Before Southern Savers, we were spending at least $300.00 a week. We have two older teenagers and a four year old.I was convinced I was saving money because I shopped at WalMart. I now rarely venture into a WalMart, and spend an average of $120 a week. It is amazing.

    • Samantha

My grocery budget was $200 a week before I started couponing. Now, I usually only spend around $75 a week on groceries and $25ish on CVS and Walgreens stuff. And I have a pantry full of food and tons of shampoo! :) Thanks for all you do, Jenny!

    • wendy

I am new to couponing and am loving the savings. I am saving at least 35% when I shop. Sometimes as much as 60%. I hope to start utilizing CVS and Walgreens more. I have not ventered there yet. I’m trying to figure out a budget for our family with the new saving, but have no doudt that I can save 200+ dollars a month.

    • Elois

We have 10 ppl living in our house and 3 babysitting kids 50 hrs a week (2 meals a day)and stragglers all the time!! it takes about 600 a month to feed everyone and that is with bulk buying and saving approx. 40% w/coupons. I spend $60/ week. I save around $80/ week – thanks to YOU!!

    • nina

I usually have 150 a week. Now since I have been couponing I don’t spend that much , at frist I did “stock piling”. I save anywhere between 200 and 400 a week:)

Before following your Southern Savers website, our grocery bill was $100+ per week for 2 people and a host of pets. I thought that was really good. Now, I’m thrilled to say, it’s close to $35 per week and includes everything….pet food, paper products, etc.

The Amazon card is awesome! Thanks for the opportunity to win it!

      Merry Christmas!

I am so glad I found you and wish that I would have been so lucky to have started a couple of years ago. You’re the reason our Christmas is going to have merriness to it! God Bless You!

    • Lisa

    • Nikki

We budget $400/ month for all grocery, CVS, or Walgreens spending. I typically save at least $600/ month at these stores thanks to Souther Savers!!

    • Melissa Smith

Before my coupon life we were spending at least 500.00 every month. Since I am a coupon addict we get away with about 200.00 a month. I do not buy most things if we do not have a coupon. It kills me to buy anything without one. After meeting you in November at our Church I am now addicted to CVS. Today I loaded up on some deals.

      Thanks

    • Paula

I’m supposed to figure that budget thing out…but it’s definitely lower since I found this website! I bought 4 boxes of cereal & 3 cans of soup at walgreen for $7.00?

    • Aymee

Average $200 a month. I save a ton on my weekly trip to Publix, usually about 75%.

    • I budget $600 (feeding 2 men) but I’m getting ready to reduce it,,, haven’t spent more than $400/450 in the last few months.

    • Megan

My budget is around 300 just because i like my luxury items still and am pretty new to couponing! I save at least that each month if not more!

    • Stacey

Before finding Southernsavers, I spent close to $500 per month on groceries! I spent most of it in the dreaded Wal-Mart supercenter! I now spend close to $300, and most if it is on name brand items at my favorite store, Publix!!! I have found that I spend much less and have so much more!! We have tried so many new foods and I always have stockpiled paper goods and toiletries! Thanks so much for how hard you work to make saving money easier!!!

    • alison

my monthly budget is $250 and i’m saving anywhere from $50- $80 a week. thanks so much for taking the work out of shopping!

    • Melissa R.

My grocery budget is about $200 per month, saving about $800 from our previous budget. Thanks for all of your time and efforts!

    • Nicki

I love seeing all the savings of others–very encouraging!!

My monthly budget (using the cash system) is $250 (this includes eating out about once a week). At the grocery story (Publix) I spend an average of $35-$40 a week on groceries and my savings are ALWAYS the same about I spend–ie. I spend $40 and save $40. I would have better savings but some items just aren’t on sale and don’t have any coupons. I’ve gotten many free items or items I use on a daily basis (healthy as well) for pennies! It is all thanks to Jenny and her wonderful system that is saving me money in this tough economic time!!!

Thank you sooo much and have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

    • Becky

My budget is $200 & my average savings are 63%… pretty new to this, so I know I can get even lower!!

      Thanks for offering the giveaway!

    • Heidi

My grocery budget BEFORE using your website $200+ per week! Now I spend less than $100 a week and we have much more food in the pantry and a stockpile for about a month! Your website has been such a blessing to my family! Being a homeschool mom with 3 small boys, every little bit helps :)

    • Suzanne

Told all my friends about Southern Savers and how great it is!

    • Amanda Bailey

I could use this. Since I ahve been “couponing” I have saved on average of $150/ week which is usually over half of my total bill. I hope I win. lol

    • Maggie H Gasparik

2 years ago it was $500 now we are at $350 a month with 4 packing lunches (That’s the hardest part)

    • Jennifer

My grocery budget is between $125-$150 a month. I’ve been saving around 40-60% on my grocery bill thanks to you, Jenny!

    • tahsha

Our budget for now is $160/ month for our family of 7. We have the best Publix ever- they still take all the different competitor coupons and they let me “stack” the $ off from other stores in one transaction. Last week I spent 27 cents on $275 worth of groceries. The “extra” grocery money came in quite handy for Christmas! In 3 weeks I’m moving to the land of no Publix, and I’m sure we’ll have to raise our budget.

    • Jill

Ours is around $400 a month, but I can see we are way above most readers.

    • Jennifer

My monthly budget is about $800 for my family of 5.

    • Amy

      Budget= $200 a month

Our grocery budget is about 200.00 a month and our toiletry budget is about 50.00, which includes diapers. We have stopped running to the grocery store every night for this and that. I go once and save a lot more money. I couldn’t say how much I save, but I have saved a lot!!! Thank you Jenny.

    • lindsey

I save appx. $300/month!! We’ve cut our grocery bill more than half in less than a year thanks to Southern Savers!! Thank you so much for all you do! You’ve truly helped us change our lives! God bless you!

    • Elizabeth

Wow!! What a give away. Thanks for the chance!

    • Tiya

My budget was $100 per week. Both my fiance’ and I had our pay reduced due to less hours so I was trying to find someway to compensate. One of my co-workers went to one of your workshops and told me about the website. I now have reduced my weekly total to $40 per week. I am able to give food away to my sister and other family because my cupboards are overflowing. My fiance’ complained about the coupons at first but now he ask before buying things if I have a coupon for it:-) I would love to win this but thank you for helping me save. I am also posting on facebook.

    • Jamie Severance

$400/month budget before I began couponing. Only couponing for two weeks, but very optimistic. Thanks.

    • Natasha

I am saving LOTS OF MONEY using your site…..thanks!

    • Candace

Our grocery budget is about $100 per month for two of us. I’m disappointed if I don’t save at least 65%

    • RACHEL

Our weekly grocery budget (including drugstore) is $75. I generally spend $50 a week, but usually save at least 50%. Since we are in an apartment, we don’t have a lot of space to stockpile (especially frozen items), but with my annual savings, we are able to pay a semester of my husband’s college tuition.

    • jackie

For a family of four I budget $250 but with the help of this website, I rarely spend that much anymore. I average saving around 56%. Thank you for all of your hard work. Your the best.

    • Kim Robinson

My budget is about $250 for 7 people…Most times I spend much less

    • Monthly grocery budget – $240. $60 a week. I save at least 50% every week.

    • Ldattu

I just started couponing and using your site – I was thrilled last week when I saved $50. In weeks before, I had only saved $30, so it was nice to see that increase in savings. Thanks so much!

    • lizabeth

I used to budget for 125.00 per week. Now I am spending about 75 or less weekly. Thank you Southern Savers!!!

    • Marlene

A friend/ client named Amy taught me how to use the Southern Savers website and how to make the most out of my grocery budget. My husband has been out of work since January and is now a full time college student. The month before Amy taught me the “couponing way of life” we spent a little over $2000.00 on groceries. We have 6 children…. 5 of which are teen and preteen boys….. LOTS of groceries. I dove into couponing full force and in the 8 weeks since I started I have spent less than $600.00! This includes packing the kids lunches for school everyday! If it had not been for couponing, Christmas gifts would not have been a possibility this year. Thanks for all you do! Merry Christmas!

    • Molly

We used to spend $600 a month on groceries. My average now since using Southern Savers is around $30-$40 a week!

    • Kelley

about $500 pretty good for 9 people! and we save about $1,ooo!!!!!!

    • Desiree

Since there’s only me home for most of the year (both kids are away at college) my grocery budget has dropped from $75 per week to $35 (don’t ask me how much of that is my Diet Mountain Dew!).

    • Michelle

Our budget is $200 a month for groceries and I normally come in under this! We average 75% savings each month. thanks for all your work!!

    • Desiree

I just tweeted to let everyone know to come over here and enter!

    • Emily

You really did save the best for last!
My total grocery budget for a month is $240 – $60 a week. I often spend less using my extreme couponer techniques!

    • Molly

      Just twitted about it @mollyspivey

    • My monthly grocery budget is $300 for a family of 5. I am hoping to get that WAY down in the new year. First, I have to get ink for my printer so I can print all these amazing coupons online and stop relying solely on the newspaper! :) Thank you for this website. It’s such a time saver for me!

    • Denise

I hope I can get this one… Could really use it…

    • shared this giveaway on my Facebook.

    • Kim

Our budget is $300 a month, but that now includes the things we purchase to give to the local food pantry since we’re saving so much. We probably save $500-800/month.

    • candice

Our budget is $400/mth – we’re trying to cut that back, so I’m going to start using this site since a friend referred me for great tips and savings!

    • KateM

I’m still working on mastering the couponing but I “try” to spend $600 a month for a family of 5, and all huge eaters. SOmetimes I can’t believe how fast the food flies out of the house! It makes it easier when some items are purchased for pennies! Thank you

    • Melanie

budget is 250.00 a month….spending right at that….except at the holidays when company visits

    • allison

my monthly budget is around $400…but it used to be WAY more before coupons & southern savers!!

    • Melissa in TN

My budget is $400 per month for four. I am buying formula and diapers for two, though.

    • Kim

      Posted on facebook!

    • Rachael

Our monthly grocery budget is $240 for a family of 3. Included in that budget is at least 2 or 3 meals taken to other people as well, and having people over for dinner or lunches. We save TONS using your website and are able to purchase more, for less. We have really been able to build up our food storage. Thank you!! This is one awesome give-away!! We’d absolutely be thrilled to win!!

    • Wendy

I found Southern Savers in March and I couldn’t be happier! My monthly budget is $500 for groceries and other household supplies. The great news is that I save at least that much every month and have reduced my overall monthly spending by $250 each month. Thanks Jenny for all you do!

    • Kristen P

The “grocery” line item in my budget also includes all household comsumables; diapers and eating out – so it’s hard to pin down just the grocery part without crunching a few numbers – however, this year I’ve tracked my savings and I average over 65% savings on all my Publix purchases and even more on my CVS – thanks for all you do to help!

    • Jane

Budget is $300 a month, but I usually stay under $50 per week.

    • Susan

      I budget $50 a week.

    • Rachel

Our budget it around $400 a month. We cut it from $800 a month after starting to use southern savers. Thanks so much Jenny!!

    • Chantel

About 400 a month. We recently had to increase it after finding out that my son has gluten intolerance. Luckily amazon has a great variety of gluten free products for cheaper than elsewhere, so I could really use one of these gift cards.

    • Shelly

Pick me! I love Amazon and could so use this card! Merry Christmas!

    • Andrea

My budget is $400, but I normally only spend $300. I buy organics (milk, beef and certain produced) just as a personal preference, so I have to spend a little more, but my savings on pantry items makes up for it. I couldn’t save this much without you Jenny!!

    • Liz

      My budget is $400/month!

    • MindiW

I shared this on facebook. and I spend about $50 a week on groceries and then diapers cheaper then I use to a Sam’s

    • nydia

My grocery budget is $260 for a family of 6.

    • Susan

We just started couponing a couple months ago, so are still in the stockpiling stage. But our budget is down to $320 per month for a family of four, and this includes lots of non-food items like pet food, etc. We have also started giving more away on a regular basis to our local food bank! :D

    • This would be a great gift, we can always use diapers!

    • My monthly budget is $400.00 for groceries for 5. I’ve been able to reduce our monthly spending on groceries by 50% since finding southern savers and joining a food co-op! Thank you!

    • Susan

Shared on FB! By the way, last night made a trip to Publix, and spent $27–but saved $88! Even the cashier was impressed!

    • Lindsay

We try to keep the budget at $100/month.

    • Nikki

I love Southern Savers! This site has helped me reduce my grocery spending from $150 to $50 a week!!! Plus we have tons more food than we’ve ever had! Thanks!!!

    • Diana

Hi Jenny. I started SS on 11/1/09. I spent 500$ and saved 835$ my first month. I’m sure I will get the OOP down by the end of this months savings. Thank You Jenny!

    • About $400…although I’m doing better lately. I’m just getting started with this whole coupon thing!

    • Lisa

I goal is to spend 50.00 a week or less but I usually average about 75.00 including toiletries, diapers etc…

    • Sarah

I am trying to spend $50 a week, and so far this week I have saved over $50! This is my second week of couponing and I am hoping to become more savey with it. This is so much fun, and so addicting! And a huge blessing!

    • Susan

I went to Publix today and spent $5.28 and saved $36.60 thanks to the tips that I’ve learned from your website. Thanks for all you do to help us stretch our dollars. I would love to win your giftcard…but I’m never lucky in winning things =(

    • Devin A.

      300 a month, I save around 50% =)

    • Jennifer H

Last month my family saved around $150 thanks to your wonderful website and coupon links!!

    • JulieP

Since I started using Southern Savers I have spent less and got WAY more than ever before! Thank you helping me keep our pantry stocked even on a tight budget. Merry Christmas and may God richly bless you and your family!

    • Sylvia

I’ve gone from about 400 a month to just about 75-100 a month. I can’t believe I used to go shopping without coupons! The best part of it is the stock piling. On FB!

    • Katie

We generally budget about $200 a month for groceries/household products/toiletries, and we probably save at LEAST $200-300 just based off information from the website. I can’t believe what a great variety of quality foods and household products just $50 a week can provide.

    • oops, misread this one! Our budget for groceries in $250 a month for 5 people and includes all the other stuff such as diapers, wipes, napkins, paper towels, ect. We save a lot by eating at home! Stress included!

    • Becky

I’m in shock of all these posts! Smebody come to my house for a one on one tutorial please!!! My average is about $400 a month for a family of four (and a dog!), including diapers and formula.

    • Our monthly grocery budget is about $300 and we spend about that much. I am only starting the coupon and deals things.

    • Alyssa

I do about $300 a month for a family of four

    • Susan

My monthly grocery budget is $1000 for 9 people. Since using SS I never spend over $700 a month and I get so much more!!!!

    • San

My budget is $200/month but I usually don’t go beyond $150. Grocery shopping is so much fun these days. I’m just thrilled at how much i could save using coupons…. less money out of pocket and more groceries in my pantry… Thank you for all the wonderful deals…

    • Amelia

Our budget is $375 a month. We take out the money in cash at the beginning of the month so we don’t go over. Last month thanks to Southern Savers we were $20 under our goal but the best part about that was that I’ve begun to stockpile items so we had enough food around the house that I could have skipped going to the grocery store entirely the first week of the month (or longer!).

    • Alaina

My savings are about 50 a week. For me that’s a big deal.

      • Alaina

I just posted on my fb page!

    • wendy

I spend about $280 less per month than I used to–usually around $320/mo. Thanks for all you do!

    • Melanie

budget is 250.00…saving around 100.00 now! thanks!

    • Kim C

My monthly budget is $700 for a family of four. However, I no longer spend that much. I spend about $300 a month on groceries and household items now. I love you site and will continue to pass your name onto everyone I know !!!! Thank you Jenny for having the heart to help others save money. You have a special crown waiting for you in Heaven !!! ;o)

    • Michele

My monthly grocery goal is $250. I shoot for $50 a week. Last month I spent $225 for $750 worth of groceries in 3 weeks…it was awesome! Thanks for all of your help!

    • Melissa

We budget $400/month, but that includes ALL diapers, formula, and other household items. I have been LOVING this site. Thanks so much!

    • Michele

      I posted on facebook!

    • Becky

I don’t necessarily have a set budget per month—I just try to save everywhere I can. My last trip to Bi-Lo
was $49.00 before the cashier started subtracting coupons and it ended up at $19.00, so I’d say that’s a pretty good trip!

    • Kim C

I just left a comment on Twitter, Facebook and Myspace ! ;o) Thanks Jenny !

    • LilKim

The last 3 months, I have spent approx. $80 on EVERYTHING – including diapers!! Total Retail Value (before Qs) has always been about $1500.

      • LilKim

That $80 was PER month for the last 3 months :)

    • Chrissy

Our budget before couponing was $125 per week for our family of 4. Now we spend about $50 per week, so only $200 a month for 4 people, and that includes diapers for 2!! I love this site and I sure hope I win!!

    • Becky

Am posting to my facebook page.

    • Kristin Wilson

Around $250 a month for a family of four..but our spending used to be closer to $400 to 500 a month..we have definitely been saving a lot more and I see that increasing the more I understand about couponing.

    • Veronica

After finding Southern Savers, I budget $500/month for all my grocery/CVS/Walgreens/Rite-Aid/and any eating out money. This is considerably lower since I used to budget $1200. Yes, I said it. I am embarrassed to say that’s what we used to spend. Plus that $500/month has bought all my Christmas presents since I’m giving away my stockpile of stuff that I’ve accumulated since I started couponing! I’m sort of new at this too, so I hope to reduce my budget even more in the future!

    • Rachel

This might be my favorite giveaway yet. My husband and I love books!
Our grocery budget was $180 but since couponing I’ve been spending about $145 a month and we’re eating much better than we ever did before! We’re saving about $300 a month! Thanks for all you do to help us out!

    • Mandy

We were at almost $500/month, and now are close to $250/month consistently.

    • Susan

I try to only spend $55 to $60 a week. This is good because I used to spend around $85 a week. I use coupons and this website like crazy!

    • Heather

WOW – would love this – pick me !
Budget is 400 or below – I am just getting a good start on the couponing like i should and have saved SOOO MUCH – one trip to Publix this week using rain checks and coupons – I got 2 8 pk of Viva Towels and a few other items for 17.00 (the paper towels alone would have retailed 19.98 – woo hoo :)

    • lisa kingsbury

      $500/month for a family of 7

    • Amy F

I spend about $150/week and save about $8-10 in coupons(cut from the Sunday ads).

Sometimes we will buy one item at Winn Dixie and receive a $10 off $50. We will then use it at Publix since they honor all coupons.

      Happy Holidays!

    • Mandy

I tweeted about the grand finale giveaway!

    • Lisa

I now spend well less than $100 a month.

    • Natasha

Our budget is $400/month or less right now, for a family of 5 and that has to include EVERYTHING(food, diapers, cleaning, personal, etc). Sometimes, I’m more than that, but then other times I am way under that. My average savings per month is around $800-1600/month! :D

    • Rachel

We used to budget $100 each week for our family of three(our daughter is 20 still living at home). Now after finding your website I have successfully cut that to about $40 each week. Some weeks a little more most weeks less. My husband is thrilled. He is now on board with the clipping and sorting of the coupons. We would love to win this!! Thanks for ALL of your hard work!!

    • sharon w

A year ago we were spending upwards of $800/month for our family of 5 plus a home daycare…that was when I was “pretending to coupon” (only using the newspaper). Then I discovered the online coupons and your site (which saves me sooooo much time!) and now the “budget” is $600/month. For the last two months, I have come in under $450….and that’s for food, cleaning supplies, AND toiletries. And we have unbelievable stockpiles now! (friends have made fun of us recently for our pantry/garage looking like a sams club!) This month, it looks like we will be right at $400, and that included a Thanksgiving meal we prepared for extended family (a dozen adults), AND several cookie swaps/”goodies” get togethers/office parties, AND donations to the church pantry :) Thanks Jenny!

    • Brooke

I try to keep it under $100 a week. But now I save so much and have more than we’ve had before! I’ve gotten high-fived by the check-out guy in CVS for “making money just buy shopping there” and my daughter cheering whenever we come in under budget! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

    • kerri

I spend about $40/wk. and save at least $80/wk~ Thanks to Southern Savers!!!

    • Melinda

Before Southern Savers we were spending $150 a week, now we are spending approx. $50 a week. Thank you, Jenny.

    • Thanks to you I have reduced our family of 5’s (2 teenagers) budget from $250/week down to $80/week. Yay for Southern Savers!

    • Sheri

I spend about $35-$40. Ususally save about $120+.

    • My daughters and I have not only saved an unbelieveable amount on food, but we have had sooooo much fun doing it. Thank you for all you do every day. Debbie

    • LilKim

    • Kristin

My budget is $50 or less a week. We usually save at least 50% every time we go.

Our monthly budget is about $200. It will hopefully not be changing too dramatically with the addition of a newborn. :)

    • Dawn

I’m still working on our budget. I’m down to about $400 per month for our family of 5, including groceries and paper products. We were up to about $900 per month before finding your site!

    • Katherine

Since I’ve found SouthernSavers I have saved at LEAST $20-30 off each trip to the grocery store. Going once a week means I save an average of $80-120 a month! Amazing!

    • Lisa

I allow myself $400.00 a month but usually spend about $350.00.

    • Corrie

My monthly grocery budget is $500, but about $100 of that is for pet food! I’ve saved so much through Southern Savers and always come in way under budget!

    • Lynn

I spend about $400/month, but get about $800 worth of food with the coupon savings.

    • Sandi

I saved $376.93 during the month of November. I am now spending about $60 a week for a family of 5. This includes all household items, not just food! Thank you so much for all of your help!

    • Mary K

We have a $450 per month budget and that includes cleaning / household / diapers AND food. With coupons I have been able to save around $200 every month. My husband told me that I can keep what I save and take a vacation! Whoop! Whoop!

    • Emory

My husband and I have a budget of $200 a month, we normally save around $75 of that by using your site and coupons! Thanks so much!!

    • Alicia W.

    • amy

Ok Jenny…this one must be mine!

    • Shelli

I spend around 100 every couple of weeks.

    • Dama

I used to spend 400.00 to 500.00 a month on groceries.. Even with menus! My hubby and 3 kids only eat home lunches though so that does add to the budget. Now with all the coupons I spend about 200.00 to 250.00 a month on groceries, still including the lunches for everyone. Thanks Jenny!! You have been a true find for our budget!!!!

    • Ashley

      Shared on FB!!

    • Susie

I usually save around $75 per week using your grocery lists. I’ve shared your tips and techniques our Financial Peace class at church, and we have several families with great stories about how they’ve used Southernsavers to save the $1000 for baby step 1, or used the savings to start paying off their debt snowball. Keep up the good work!

    • Andrea

I just started couponing in September. My goal to start with was to save around 40-50% in groceries. Now I save between 60-70%. I am very proud of it! My main store is Publix. There are times when buying baby necessities make the bill a little higher, but our baby is totally worth it! :) Thanks to you, I am able to save more, and buy more at the same time. If I win, I plan to use the gift card on baby supplies so I can focus my Publix trips on adult usage only! :):):)

    • my monthly budget used to be about $600, then actually saw what i was spending… about $750 per month (we are a family of 5). THEN, i started couponing with the help of this site and now i am down to a $400 or less per month budget!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and this INCLUDES diapers!! thank you soooooo much! we would LOVE to win this! tweeting this one too!

    • Kris

I used to be a Walmart girl, and Publix just for meat-to the tune of $240 every 2 weeks. Now I might spend $50-$75 a week depending on the sales and stocking up. Thank you Jenny!!!

    • amy

I used to budget about $400/month but now I’m down to around $250. Thanks for all your hard work!

    • Karen

I spend about $400.00 a month for a family of four. I used to spend $550.00 a month, thats for everything including paper products, soap/shampoo, and foods. My publix will not take comp. coupons or I could save even more! but the savings have meant so much to my family.
Thanks for all the effort you put into this site.

    • Joanne

We’re saving close to $300 a month! Thanks loads for your hard work!!

    • Andrea

I posted my savings and the last day of giveaways on FB!

    • Luwina

I have been saving about $100 per month, since I started coupons. I love it. I think I will start saving more in a while, because I am still working on stockpiling.

    • Linda

Our monthly grocery budget is $200. We usually spend under $50 a week, though. Most of the time we get 60% more than what we spend, but sometimes we get 75-80% more. It has been a wonderful experience using coupons!

    • Katherine

I would LOVE to win this giveaway!!! My grocery budget used to be $250/mth but is now around $75/mth!!! I have recommended the site to SO many people to help them save too!!!

    • Ashley Erdman

I used to spend around $400/month on groceries and toiletries and thought I was living pretty frugally for feeding the five of us. After using your site for the last year my spending has decreased to around $125/month!!! Thank you so much for all your sacrificial work Jenny. You are helping many through very tough financial times!

    • Mendy

I just really started saving but have already cut out a $100 of my monthly bill and look forward to shaving off more :)

    • Marie

My monthly grocery budget is about $300 (give or take some) per month for 2 people. Could be lower, for sure, but I am picky about certain brands and stock when on sale, if possible.

    • Delores

      I have 8 people and budget $900. I probably save over $100 a month.

    • Marsha

I am spending around $75 a week for a family of 4…very neat! I have only been doing the couponing for around 1 month.

    • amy

I left a comment on Facebook. I am hoping for a win over here at the Strickland household! WE NEED IT. Thank you so very much for the opportunity.

    • Allyson

I try to stay under $300 a month for a family of 6. Thanks for all the money you helped me to save!!

    • Tara J.

Since I have started using coupons, the savings are amazing. I recently had a baby and was worried about the toll diapers, formula, and baby food would take on our finances. Our grocery budget has not gone up, but has actually gone done by consistently using coupons. For the past two weeks, I have spent between $75.00 and $85.00 and saved over $100.00 each time. I would say that our monthly grocery budget now, baby stuff and all, is somewhere between $300.00 and $400.00 a month.

    • Our budget is $250 a month. We probably save at least $100 a month…probably closer to $150.

    • Tracey

I’ve been spending less than $50/week for my family of four (including diapers!) thanks to your help! My Publix receipt usually shows savings of over $100!

    • Michelle

My grocery budget is now $170 for our family of 6, and I often have money left over each month. Before I started couponing early this year, our grocery budget was up to around $300/month. I’ve been able to create a wonderful stockpile of food this year, and I’m able to share a lot with those in need.

Our grocery budget is about $300/month. Thank you for hosting this giveaway!

    • Amy

My budget is about $400-500 per month for 4 people. I save so much each month with double coupons. Love it!!!!

    • Susan

I spend around $200 a month for a family of 6, with savings of around 70%. Thanks for all you do!

    • Susan

I used to spend around $140 a week. Now, thanks to Southern Savers, I spend less than $60 a week for the whole family! Thank you and Merry Christmas!

    • Nancy

      Started couponing several months ago.
Have saved receipts with the intention of tracking our savings – haven’t had time to total the receipts!
Greatest benefit has been the ability to donate generously to food co-op ministry, angel tree gifts for nursing home patients.

    • For my family of 5 I spend around $75.00 per month. We do not eat out a lot so that saves us money too. I make meals around what is on sale so that I don’t have to buy extras which can really add to a grocery bill. I use $10/$50 competitor coupons almost every trip so that I can afford little extras. This week at Publix my bill was $169.55 and I paid $5.36. Week before last my bill was $165.xx and I paid $4.xx. I can not thank you enough for all that you do in putting together your shopping lists.

      • that is amazing!!! do you eat pretty healthy? what types of meals do you make for family. i forget, how many people did you say there were?

    • Chelsea

Last month I saved over $300, not just on groceries, but all kinds of household things too! I’ve made a New Year’s resolution to save $2,500 on groceries in 2010!

    • Bkosten

my budget is $200 a month, including paper products and baby items:) My goal is to always save over 50% and thank to your site i have been doing better and better!

    • cindylouwho

    • beth

My monthly grocery budget is $320… since I just started using coupons a few months we haven’t lowered it yet but we hope to soon. Merry Christmas!

    • mommiesrule!

I try to spend $200 a month or less for a family of 4, well 5 if you count the cat! :)

    • our grocery budge is $400 but we are trying to keep it to $300 or $350. i am saving but mostly just getting more for the same amount of money. but we do have 5 people and entertain about 1-2x a week too. i saw some that were $175, how many people is that???

    • Meredith

Our budget it about $200/month. This is much easier after learning couponing!

    • shared on facebook. PLEASE PICK ME!!! i love winning.

    • Marijac

My budget is usually $200.00 a month for groceries! I have been saving at least $75.00-$100.00 a month since using southern savers.com and I have a ton of food in the pantry, refridgerator and freezer! Thanks for everything!

    • Karen W.

I use to spend well over $600 a month. Now it’s more like $350 AND I have a full pantry – actually an overflowing pantry.

    • Rei

My grocery budget went from $500 (gasp!) down to $250 (maybe $300 on peak months) every since I started couponing and really stockpiling when products are at it’s lowest point. That’s about 50% savings from what I use to spend. But, with the $250 I also buy all my personal/hygiene products as well, so when you consider that I’m getting more out of my money, the savings is significantly higher! That’s thanks to you and those wonderful tutorials you posted!!

    • Ginger

My monthly grocery budget is $400. That’s down from $800/month before I began couponing.

    • Jill

      Budget is around $200.

    • We are saving around $400 a month now for 6 people, including 2 teenagers, and 2 in diapers/pullups. That money is now being used for therapy for our 3 year old!

    • Fallon

I used to spend around $150 a week, not really going in with a plan. Now with your help I spend around $100 a month. You have been such a God send. We had to take a large pay cut this year so things have been really tight, I thank you and everyone on here for their comments and help.

    • Annette

I have cut my grocery bills in half since I went to your workshop and started shopping at Publix almost exclusively. However, it will be increasing a little since we have a new baby in the house.

    • Amy

My budget before southernsavers was about 800.00 a month, that is with four kids, one being a 15 year old. Now I am averaging around 60.00 a week. This is a huge savings and all the credit must go to you Jenny. Thank you so much for all that you do. Pick me please!

    • Susan

Now, I spend about $55 a month for me and my (4)four legged friends, this includes the grocery stores and drug stores. I am sure before Southern Savers, I was spending at least 3 times that much. Thank You!

    • Neal Ashley

Our budget used to be between 400-500 a month. Thanks to your site we’ve cut our budget in half and saving about 200/month. We’ve been putting this money into our IRAs so your site has been a godsend to us.

Thanks for all you do! Let social comments as well!

I have just starting couponing since August. This site has really helped me learn hot to save. We are a family of five. We spend about $100 a week (would love to cut this in half!), and my Krogers receipt usually says anywhere from 54-79% saved. It’s been helpful and fun! :)

    • Melanie

I don’t have a budget…I just read your blog, find all the good deals, and do lots and lots of them. I rarely buy an item without a coupon. I am a big believer in stockpiling. I usually do a Publix and Bi Lo trip and spend anywhere from 20-35 dollars at each.

    • Kim

My monthly budget is around $220 for a family of 5..that includes every thing…cleaners, household supplies, and groceries. I used to spend around $600.

Before Southern Savers.com… 450.00 month for family of six! After Southern Savers.com and my parents. … 80.00!!…Give or take a few dollars. My family and I are living day to day .. and with the lessons I have learned, I am glad to say we end up doing just fine in the grocery department!! Sure wish there were coupons for the power bill or rent! LOL.. I would surely be all over that one!

    • Chrissy

I shared on facebook! I love this site and have shared with several friends and taught them how to coupon! Now we all save and compare notes each week, it’s so much fun :)

    • rachel rose

just started couponing, right now we spend around 100wk for all groceries, household items, and personal care. Working on lowering that # before adding another mouth to feed. Thanks for all your help!!!

    • jac

      40 $ a month is our budget for 3

Whoo hoo and i meet that 10 out of 12 months of teh year

    • Rebecca

I’m more practical so I’d probably use it to buy diapers for my 6 month old and my two sisters-in-law who are due in Feb and Mar. I would love to help them out with several months worth of diapers. :)

    • Joslin

We usually spend around $300-$400 a month, but really want to start saving more. Thanks for posting the deals!

    • Laura

I don’t have a budget per se, but I have definitely been saving about 50%… and I have a lot more food in the pantry.

    • Shannon

I spend about $250-$300/month for my family but I also give a lot away to families who need a hand up. It is still a huge saving from what I used to spend for my family of 5! (Went to Publix today and saved $182.99 and spent $81.79. It was a bit more spent than usual but I didn’t go last week and two weeks ago I only spent $25.)

    • Amy

      I could so use these!!!!

      • Amy

Sorry, I spend about $200 per month for a family of 4.

    • queenie

i would love to learn how to save the way you do!!

    • Kim

The monthly grocery budget here is about $200. And it’s only that high because of food allergies. Using coupons has helped to keep that reasonable while still allowing me to buy stuff for the food bank and charities.

    • Michelle

Sad to say, I don’t really have a budget. I am new to the coupon thing, but have had several trips to Publix and Kroger where I saved 60-70%!

    • morgan

We have a family of 7 and our monthly food budget is $600. I’ve been getting better with coupons though so it should be going down!

    • amy

I always share on my facebook page.. which gets me ALOT of emails from my friends wanting to know how I do it! LOL .. I get alot of people asking me if they could just go with me when I go to grocery store or etc. Cant begin to tell you number of friends and family I have referred to this site to get started. LOVE THIS SITE

    • Melissa S.

I spend approximately $80 every two weeks on groceries with small milk/bread purchases in between for a family of three and five pets.

    • $800 for a family of 4. I am AWFUL and should be shot for even typing that number…. My new year’s resolution is to get that waaaaay down. I’m not sure how far down I can go and still eat what we eat, though.

    • Veronica

After my fiancee lost his job (which was our main income) times were very tough. I had limited amounts of cash to get groceries with. With your website I learned how to save money and time. I had a bi-weekly budget of about $100 to $150. With your teachings I could buy all the things I needed and sale items and walk out saving $50 – $80. Thank you Jenny. It really helped us in a tough time.

      -Veronica :)

    • Teri

    • My monthy budget is right at $130 and that is with eating out once a week after church. THANKS

    • I sent this link to some friends on facebook :)

    • morgan

      I tweeted :)

    • Jenn B.

Used to spend no less than $125/wk but now I spend about $75/wk. New Years resolution is to drop that down to $55/wk which I think is possible now that I have stocked up over the last few months since I found your site.

    • Jamey

we spend about $80/week, but usually save at least 30-50% off our total bill thanks to your awesome tips and hard work.

    • Nancy

About $200 a month! We save so much!!

    • l

I could get my family some really cheap yet good items on amazon.com

    • Abigail

I have a monthly budget of $240. Thanks to your website, I’m able to get basically everything needed for our household and still have some excess at the end of the month. Thanks to your CVSing I’m able to get things like deoderant, toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper, etc and still stay under out budget! This past week I did 3 weeks of grocery shopping to get ready for knee surgery and I only spent $100! It should have been over $300! And all of it is thanks to you!

    • Debbie

Monthly budget of $200, but we are saving so much because of your help. Thanks Jenny. Have a blessed Christmas!

    • Elizabeth

My monthly budget is $200, including all toiletries and personal care. My savings are about the same.

    • I thought I was saving a ton until I read some of these comments of how little a budget some people have! I need to do better couponing and researching, I guess! We spend $400 a month for five people. It used to be higher than that but we’ve been able to drop it once I started reading your blog!

    • Nikki

For a family of 5, we spend $275 a month which includes diapers, cleaners, etc. I usually don’t spend anything on cleaners etc. because I shop at Harris Teeter. With triple coupons, etc. I save at least %75 a month in the grocery department. I love this website because I can find good internet deals. I recommend it to all my friends and family.

    • Mona

No actual budget but lots of couponing. I had a great day at HT on Thursday – $115 after coupons/E-Vic savings – $33.

    • I have cut our bills in half. We spend around $100 a month. I love it.

    • l

with a family of 6 any win is a help and a blessing. You must tell me how you do it.

    • Jessica

monthly grocery budget is 120…thanks to you!

    • Elizabeth

This is a wonderful gift! Six months ago I was spending about $150-200 per week on groceries. Now, shopping sales and using coupons (thanks to you and other wonder bloggers who have taught me this method of shopping!), I spend about $50 a week to feed my family of 5 (including a very hungry teenager!). Thanks again for all you do!
(By the way, I LOVE the checkbox lists, which make it so easy to put together shopping lists.)

    • Kasey

I hope to only spend about $100 a month and I couldn’t do it with all the saving I get from you….it’s been tough, but you definitely help us out in savings!

    • Rachel

My budget is $250 a month, but used to be more (probably $400-$450 a month) before couponing. I’m still working on getting it lower. It’s amazing how much your website has saved me!

    • Laura

Monthly we save about $200 to $250 on groceries and spend about $200 on everything. Can’t beat a 50% savings!

    • Michelle

My budget is $450.00 a month. For the past three months since I started couponing I have saved on average $200.00 a month…The extra money is being put in an account to make extra house payments toward paying off our mortgage.

    • Current budget is about $220, but the new year’s resolution is to cut $100 off that this year! (for 2 people, btw).

    • Jarrod

Because it’s such a slim Christmas this year that’d go a LOOONNNGG way towards a replacement GPU for our desktop

    • Denise

I spend about $500 a month on groceries for 4. My biggest savings has come from learning how to work the drugstores. A big “Thank You” for that!

    • Neka

      Well

Before finding this wonderful site my grocery budget was at least $100-150 per week.

Now that I am a Southern Saver,
I spend no more than $50 per week for all toiletries and groceries. I love this site and I always tell everyone on FB and TWitter.

      Posting this on Twitter now!

      Merry Christmas

    • Julie

My monthy grocery budget is $400 after SS. Before SS, it was $1000. This is why I tell everyone I know about this website!

    • Wendy

We have a family of 5, and probably spend between $200-$400/month, depending on how strict we are about eating out, plus we have children involved in sports (constantly) so the concession stand always gets some of that :)
My husband and I have already resolved to set a budget for the new year and try and stick to it, or less!! I’m really excited!

    • Anne Marie

I am trying to get to $200 a month, but I am more like $250 righ now which is a big savings over what we usually spend. I average about 50% savings at Publix!

      • Anne Marie

        Just updated my facebook status!

    • Karen

I save $200-300/month on average at Publix (for two). I’ve saved $1000s since I begin “couponing” and “SoutherSavering” in the spring!

    • Laura
    • Karen

      I tweeted about my SouthernSavering!

    • Nikki

I tweeted about southernsavers.com and awesome it is!!!

    • Danelle West

My weekly spending varies, but I try to save on average around 50%.

    • Cassia

Hmmm… I have no idea how much I save on average – as much as I possibly can, I’ll say that! My total grocery spending last month was just under $270 (food, household and hygiene needs, etc.). That’s for a family of 5. Much better than the almost $700 I’d originally thought I’d need each month!

    • Michelle

So far this month I have saved over $200 on my grocery bill :-)

    • Neka

Hope I can win..since we just starting Southern Savers last month we haven’t been able to enjoy our savings on ourselfs. Me and hubby spent our savings on buying some Christmas presents for the kids who wouldn’t have gotten much if it wasn’t for Southern Savers, so thank you so much Jenny.

If we got the gift cards, perhaps we could buy each other something special for the holiday season (something on sale of course)!

And Jenny, my hubby says THANK YOU! He is so happy that he is no longer eating house brand cereal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Teresa-QOCD

all household weekly budget is $30 for the two of us and if I want to bless someone with more I just do it. Thank you Jenny and Merry CHRISTmas to everyone!

    • Sarah

My monthly grocery budget is $300 and I spend about $25-50 a week.

    • tonya

We used to budget $150 a week but lately I’ve been able to do it in about $75 per week. Thanks to Jenny!

    • Teresa G

I’m a newbie, so I probably save about $60 a month and spend about $300 for what is usually just my husband and I. When my son is home from college, it bumps up a good bit! :o) LOVE your site!!

    • I spend around $500 per month for me, my husband, and 5 children!

    • My budget is $300 a month to feed 4, but usually we come in around $250. Thank you for doing the Ingle’s deals! You are the only site I’ve found that does and that is the best grocery store we have in our town.

    • Peggy H.

Pre-Southernsavers, I was spending $300-$400 per month. Now I spend around $150 per month. Thanks to you I have extra money to buy shower gifts for my first grandbaby that is expected this spring!

      • Peggy H.

        Posted on Facebook.

I actually keep a spreadsheet of my savings but don’t have it on this computer. I save a lot!! My monthly grocery budget is $300 and we manage to stay on that easily.

    • Jennifer

I save at least 50 per cent on groceries each week, but I think I am getting better…that percentage seems to be increasing as of late. We are going to budget $25 LESS each week for groceries in 2010.

      • Jennifer

Oops. Didn’t tell you the budget. I spend around $100 a week for a family of 5 right now. We are down from $150 a week this time last year. :)

    • Elaine Mabry

For this month alone at Publix, I’ve spent $144.94 and saved $492.18.
I budget $50 a week and count this end of week shopping as next’s weeks. I’m under budget $55 for the 4 weeks of Dec.

    • melissah

I use to spend around $400 a month on groceries when I use to work outside of the home and I would just occasionally clip a coupon or two, but when I had my daughter she got RSV after being at her daycare center for just a few days. She got very sick and spent several weeks in the hospital and we nearly lost her. Praise God her saved her life and she is now a happy healthy one year old! I quit my job after she returned home from the hospital to be a stay at home to her and my almost 3 year old son. It was the best thing I ever did. If it weren’t for your website I could not have survived this year! I have saved so much money and my family is getting some things nicer than we ever afforded while I was working. I can’t believe how much money we have been able to survive on. It is nothing short of a miracle! I now get by on around $150-$200 a month for groceries and all personal purchases. I am so thankful for your website!

    • Jessica

Our budget is about $250 a month and your site makes it more than possible to meet that or come under. Thanks for all your hard work!

    • amanda

Our budget is around $300 a month. I have been slacking on the couponing lately, and really need to get back into the game!

    • Anita Shipley

I try to keep it around $100/wk for the six of us.

    • Thomasia

I spend about $400-500 a month with a b/c (before coupon budget) of $700-800. I feed 6 people 3 meals a day 6 days a week with 2 meals on Sunday. The 7th person in my house gets a min of 2 meals a day 7 days a week. So that is 134 meals a week!!

    • Dawn

Before Southern Savers, we were spending at least $300.00 a week on groceries. Now I budget $75 per week! Groceries is a big savings, but I think my biggest savings is through CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens. I cant believe how much we have saved! Because of Southern Savers I’m able to take care of my mom’s groceries and toiletry needs since she lost her job nine months ago. Thanks for everything, Jenny!

    • Natalie

Our budget is $100 per week for family of 4…. Southern Savers helps me a lot lower than that! I usually avg less than $50 and put all the savings to other things we need like car upkeep, Christmas and vacation savings!

    • Dona Flood

I have no budget because I give away about 50-75% of what I buy to help others in need. Whatever I can get for a good price or free, I buy. I save about 70-75% on a regular basis and have donated hundreds of dollars of food in the last 3 months.

    • Nell

      Hey,

I just started – my monthly budget was $400 and I was pushing the top of that… In one week, I saved $30 and became convinced that I can do this :-)

Thanks for everything you put up here…

      Nell

    • Isla

My grocery budget is about $100 a month thanks to all of your help and dedication. Thanks an Merry Christmas!

    • LindseyA

I try to stick to around $50 a week, but over the holidays it’s been WAY more :( I think I can do better and that’s why I’ve started reading your site.

    • Amy

First, We have 5 people. Second, we do not eat out or eat school lunches. It all comes from home. We were spending about $300 a week at Publix and now spend $120-$150 (holiday season is more with parties etc). It is all thanks to this website! So, we are SAVING $600 a month and Spending $$600…usually my receipt reflects this with the same spent as saved. That is always my goal. Big trip today resulted in $100 spent and $98 saved. Took the printable list with me!

    • Edna

My budget is roughly $250 a month and this includes diapers for 2 boys.

    • rose

$140 a month…sometimes we make it under that…and sometimes we go over. But we spend WAY less now because of coupons and SouthernSavers.com!!
      And Yay for Amazon! :)

I don’t really have a grocery budget but I generally spend about $25 to $30 a week for a family of 4 thanks to this site!

    • I am new to couponing so I haven’t gotten into my rhythm of figuring out what I spent/save but I try to save at least 40% on every grocery bill! I am a novice but trying to get much better at this :)

    • Caitlyn

I try to only spend $250 a month. Your site helps!

    • Hunter

I budget for $50 a week = $200 a month. With savings I am able to buy plenty of groceries, last minute items, and have others over for dinner often!

    • Newbie

I had been spending $100 – $150 every week on groceries. Thank you Jenny! I now spend approximately $50 every week.

    • Holly

Our budget for a family of four is around $50/week. I usually save about 50-60% at the grocery store thanks to Southern Savers and coupons! Most weeks that even includes diapers and/or formula!

    • Wende

Our budget is usualy $400 a month. BUT we get tons more stuff as our saving is usually about 72% a month so the $400 goes real far!

    • Kelly

I generally spend $25 a week on groceries and other necessities…Thanks so much for all your hard work!

    • Mirsada

My budget is about $250 a month but I normally end up under, thanks to you!

    • Ashley

We spend about $50 per week for 3 people.

    • Faith

In northern VA prices are a bit steep… so my monthly budget has been around $400 for a family of four, though that also includes diapers and the occasional formula purchase. :-)

    • katie

We used to spend 600-800 a month, down to aroun 400-450. I’m sure you save me at least 50% a month when it’s all said and done. I just was turned onto this around Oct so I have been kinda stock piling. Now I can just sort of maintain so I expect it to come down even more. Also CVS, WGreens and Publix are really the only stores around here you cover. The stores I have to cover for myself I am not quite as efficient as you so I’m sure I miss things I could be saving on. Also I need to learn to keep coupons I THINK I won’t use-I always end up missing a deal……….

We are a family of 9, and before I discovered this site, I didn’t even keep track of how much I spent on groceries. That would have been too depressing! Since learning of this coupon/sale concept in May, I am actually able to spend less than $100 a week on food. We have a mini-store in our basement, and my kids are thrilled with the variety of “brand name” groceries we now get to enjoy. Thank you SO much Jenny. You are my Dave Ramsey! (I’m posting this note on Facebook too.)

    • My monthly budget is usually around $400. As a working, pregnant mother with a toddler couponing is a challenge. I have neighbors collecting coupons for me and I check the store isles religiously. I have really “great” weeks where I pull it all together and save more than I spend. These moments are joyous. I have other weeks where I just have to go through the motions to get through the store and end up not using one coupon. I love this website and feel like I couldn’t do even what I do without it. It is a time saver for sure.

    • Hilary

I budget 400/mo.for our family of 5, but usually end up not needing it all and spending it somewhere else. I usually save about as much as I spend on groceries. Thanks!

    • Lisa

Spent about $450 in November, saved $690! My first month following you. My pantry is STOCKED! Thanks!!!

    • paula b

For two adults and two small children, our monthly budget is around $300. I’m still spending more than I want, but before I started reading your site, we were spending about $650! I am thrilled to have you as a resource!

    • Brandi

Our monthly food budget is $415. Usually about $50 a month for non-food items. This is for 4 adults and my 14 month old.

    • My monthly budget is $400 – BUT…we haven’t adjusted it yet. Before I started couponing in January I was spending an average of $600/month on groceries. So we dropped the budget to $400 – but honestly I usually don’t spend more than $300 with coupons. I have a spreadsheet of my grocery shopping this year and save an average of 60% now! :)

    • Dotty

I have enjoyed SS. I haven’t been to a tutorial but I am trying. Some months, I save quite a bit; my grocery budget is still more than most of the people posted. I’m learning! I have shared the website for so many!

    • Elizabeth Whitman

I spend about $100 a week now, but that’s for absolutely everything. I buy a lot more organic foods that I couldn’t afford before, and I give away a ton of food to the food pantry. Thanks!

    • I love this site, my sister turned me on to this back in March, and I have been hooked ever since. My husband and friends cannot believe how much I save every week! The printable shopping list is wonderful. Even being in Florida with no coupon doubling, the deals I find here have made it possible to shop at my favorite store (publix) without breaking the bank! Thanks for all you do, it has greatly improved our life and given me a reason to look forward to grocery shopping instead of dreading it. This week alone I spent $40.00 and saved $132.00!

    • Jess

Ex-WalMart shopper. Our budget for four (including food and household needs) is $400/month. I’ve kept our budget the same since shopping at WalMart, but now I can be more flexible in what I buy and I’ve enjoyed that a lot. It makes my menus more interesting!

    • Erika Ebel

Our monthly cash budget for food is around $400. However, I probably only end up using about half this for groceries (thanks to coupons and sales. The other half is used to eat out…

    • Stephanie

    • Cheryl

$80/month mas or menos. Thank you for this wonderful website!!!

    • AngelaT

My budget for 4 of us was $150 a month. I am the only one working. I have two kids and my mom lives with me. I can now spend about $100 a month since I now have a stockpile. I just add to it each month and of course your milk, eggs and bread that you buy on a regular basis. Oh, and I have 2 cats and that budget includes litter and food for them. Thanks Jenny.

    • Teresa

My food budget has been cut in half since discovering Southersavers!

    • maria

I usually spend about $600 each month.

    • Rachel

I’m saving over $100 a month off my grocery bill with couponing!

    • Jane

I’m so grateful for the info you provide. I used to spend probably about $150 a week but I didn’t strictly keep up with it or budget. I know I’ve cut that amount more than in half. We are enjoying more variety of foods as I’m now buying things I wouldn’t have considered before, and best of all I’m able to stockpile food for emergency situations and to take to the food bank. Thank you so much!

    • Suzanne

I just casually use the coupons, but I’ve been couponing for about 25 years now and I usually save about 30 to 50 dollars a week, just love your site, happy holidays all!

BC (before coupons…) I spent about $275 every two weeks on groceries for a family of 6. With coupons (and southernsavers), six months later I have a compeletly stocked pantry and freezer and spend only to restock or on items that come up last minute that I don’t have stocked. I spend anywhere from $25 to $60 every two weeks. Thanks for your website! I love it! <

    • Jennefer

I also posted on Facebook!!! YOur GREAT!!!

New to couponing! But have got my grocery budget from 360/month to 240/month using only one grocery store. I left this on my facebook too! Wish I had time to go around to all the stores on your site. Thanks for everything.

    • I’m not so good with budgeting HOWEVER, I am saving about $300.00 a month on my groceries and household items. My husband is so proud and frequently brags on my saving/couponing skill to others. My goal is to save enough money to take a trip to Italy to visit the hometown of my grandparents. Jenny, thanks for all you do, enjoy the holidays and come back to Birmingham when your workshop schedule allows!

    • anton

Thank you so much. I thought I may need to find a part time job to help cover expenses but with just a little time each week I am able to find enormous savings on the things I need and use most.
      God Bless and Merry Christmas.

I budget for 350 a month including diapers for two and dog food. My savings have increased every week since I found your site. I was thrilled this past week when I bought two weeks of groceries for $60 and saved mote than I spent for the first time! Two whole chickens for 1.50 each. You rock Jenny!

    • Alena

My budget is $100 for family of 3 and your site helps me soooo much to keep us in budget =))))

    • Anna

I used to spend about $700 just on groceries (food only), but since I started couponing, I now spend $400 on EVERYTHING – food, household items/cleaners, toiletries, baby supplies. Woo-hoo!

    • Anna

      Shared on Facebook, too!

    • Whitney

My budget right now is $400 a month, but I hope to reduce that in 2010.I have a child with severe food allergies so I don’t think I will ever be a $25 a week kind of gal, but I am THRILLED with how far I have come just this year – I have saved over $5000 on groceries/toiletries,etc. this year in large part due to YOU & your fabulous site! :)

    • Tracey

Our budget is usually 40-50 a month for a family of four. This includes health and beauty, medicine and pet food. I typically save 100-145 a week. Sometimes I go over budget if I need a lot of meat or pet food. I stock up when I can. I save so much more since I have found Southern Savers!
Thanks, Jenny for all the savings.

    • Emily

Our monthly budget is $290, we haven’t saved anything, we’ve just bought more!

    • Laura

I am almost embarrassed (sp?) to say that before Dave Ramsey and Financial Peace University I used to spend about $900 a month on food, cleaning supplies, laundry and toiletries. Now, with the help of this site and the wonderful deals I find at Publix, Target, CVS and Walgreens I spend about $250 a month for the same things.

This site has really helped us get back on track financially and stick with our budget. I am thankful everyday that we found you!!

I do not tally up my total saving (no time) but anytime I go to Publix and stick to my list I usually save 50% or more. Most trips to Publix only cost me about $35. Next yr. I am going to challenge myself to stick to a tighter budget and trake my saving better.

      merry christmas.

    • Beth

We average about $60/week and that includes diapers for twins. Most of my non-SS friends don’t believe me when I tell them that!

    • Laura

Shared this on Facebook as well!!

    • Melissa

We spend about $300/month and are new to this, but are seeing excellent savings. Thanks for doing this!

    • Ann M.

Thanks to Southern Savers, I always save 50-60 percent, but frequently hit 70 or more percent. One day when I came home from a trip to CVS and the receipt was literally $0.00, my husband said “Honey, if you can’t do any better than this, you should probably stay home.” It’s made entering our receipts so much more fun!

    • allison

Our monthly grocery (and eat out) buget is $200. Thanks for including Harris Teeter on your website – They are too high to shop without specials, but between coupons and evic savings it’s a great place to shop some weeks!

    • Dina

This month I have spent a total of $112.56 at CVS,Wags,Publix, and Target, and have saved a total of $537.50!

My monthly savings this month so far is 612.76 I spent $172.41 This is only on grocery, drugstore items. I do feed two dogs off this on a special food hamburger and veggies and sweet potato and white potatos . Special need dogs with seizures. But it keeps them off meds . I have to say that my OOP expense for my over the counter meds have gone down so much since I found this site . It has enabled me to keep the dogs on there special diet and not have to give them up [thanks so much] . Now if I could save more on my perscriptions lol Publix needs to get more perscription coupons . I never see these here in Florida .

    • my monthly budget used to be 400.00, and I struggled to stick to the budget. Now, I average about 200.00 a month thanks to this site!!

    • Emmi

We use a method we saw off of a tv show. You put your cash into jars for the week. So we have a budget of $125 per week for groceries. We never spend that much so it ends up as extra money we can use towards other things.

    • angeline saby

i used to spend 400.00 now more like 150.00 every two weeks.
      thanks

    • Tracey

Since I have seriously seriously stock piled, my budget for the week has been about $30. That is mostly meat, milk, produce and bread, but before I found SS, it was about $75 to $100 per week. Also my status on Facebook says 8 days of Giveaways from Southern Savers.

    • Jennifer

      I tweeted!!

    • Marti

YOu save me so much money! I would love to win!

    • Jessica

My monthly grocery budget is now around $120 for the 2 of us. That’s less that half of what it used to be!! Thanks Jenny!

    • julia

Only been couponing since July but I think I’ve been able to reduce my grocery/household spending by about 50%!!!

    • AC

Our Budget is about $400-$500 per month, but we used to spend around $700 or more.

    • I just shared this on facebook.

    • My grocery budget is around 200 a month – was hard to make work until I started using southern savers! thanks.

    • about 250 per month!

    • Melissa

Our monthly budget for food used to be $400 for a family of 3. Now, we average around $175 a month (including diapers and toddler milk)! I am so excited that we have been able to do this thanks to this website. Thanks!

    • Our monthly grocery budget for a family of four is $400, but most months this year I’ve been able to keep it between $320-$350 and am putting the extra in savings for a Disney World trip next year!

    • kim

From the info on this site I regularly save 80-90% at Publix. Thank you SO much!

    • Alison Scudder

Ok. I don’t keep a budget but I try to stay between $150.00-$200.00 a week. We are a family of 6. I have been saving 1/3 every time I shop with coupons and Food Lion MVP. Some weeks are better than others but Food Lion keeps a total of savings at the end of the receipt. I have saved almost $4000.00 this year! This is the first year I have really been serious and used coupons. I also shop Walgreens and save a lot there. I could really use the Amazon credit since we have 4 teenage girls and it gets difficult trying to supply them with everything that they need! Thank you for the contest. Happy Holidays!!

    • Kristin

I aim to spend no more than $100 a week but have an overall budget of $500/month (for four) May not be an amazingly low number like some but we are very happy with the hundreds we save each month!

    • Jenn

Our monthly grocery budget is $200…but about to get a lot larger since we’re adopting two babies from Ethiopia!

    • Holly

Before your site I was budgeting 600 a month for a family of 5, I’ve nearly cut that in half! Thanks for all you do!!!!

    • Rhonda

$400/month for 2 adults and 2 teenage boys.<–Yikes, can they eat! I’ve been aggressively building my stockpile for the past 6 months and hope to reduce the budget by $25/week after the first of the year.

    • sara

Started using this site in Novemebr…Publix spent $147 for the month (yes, I kept my receipts to see how it went). Saved $383 in November!! Such a drastic change from dropping $150+ a week at WalMart and having nothing to show for it. Really is amazing to see it on paper!! I don’t think i went to WalMart for ANYTHING the entire month! Thank you, SouthernSavers.com

    • We spend about $350/month on food/toiletries/paper goods for our family of 3…but could spend a lot less if we actually lived off the stockpile for awhile~but some of the deals are too good to pass up!

    • It’s just my husband and me and our monthly budget for groceries/household items is $250. So far this year, we’ve saved $2,000 with coupons, sales and coming in under budget!!

    • Addie

About 150 a month. Save roughly 40% most trips.

    • Alison Stephens

New to the site….so grocery savings are coming along slowly as I learn to shop in new ways. Budget is about $100/week. Hope to win this time! :) Thanks for the work you do for this site.

    • Put it on facebook!

    • sara

Just shared my comment on Facebook!!

    • Amber

We’ve only been doing the Southern Savers method for about 3 weeks. Prior to Southern Savers we spent about $100 a week for groceries and diapers. We have now decided to do 4 trips to Publix a month and spend no more than $20 for each trip and try to limit big Wal-Mart trips to twice a month at about $100 each trip. We’re still in the trial stage, so we’ll let you know how it goes.

    • Alison Stephens

Just tweeted about this in Twitter

    • Micheal

We have $75 budgeted a week for groceries for a family of 4 (two of which are 2 and younger). Diapers and medicine come out of this budget as well!

    • Michele M.

My budget is around $100 monthly and I have saved over 65% using your site. I can’t imagine life before Southernsavers. Thanks Jenny!

    • Rachel

Around $500. That includes everything food and household. I try to do a lot of stocking up with that amount as well. I have my own little grocery store sitting on top of my cabinets.

    • Weekly grocery budget is $20, and I aim for 90% savings or higher. However, I just had a baby (and haven’t gone to the grocery store–lived off a stockpile), and plan to set it to $40 for a few weeks. :) I LOVE Publix!

    • Debbie K

My monthy grocery budget is around $240.00. Some months I go over that, but then I can make up the difference by using my stockpile.

    • Jenna

We went from spending about $700/month a year ago to spending under $300 now. Thanks for the site and thanks for the giveaways!

    • Cindy

This site has helped my budget for sure! I now budget about $75 a week for all household items for a family of four. Thanks!

    • Nikki

Before finding your site and clipping coupons our monthly food budget was easily $400.00. Now we spend about half that amount, saving $200.00. That is the kind of savings that really adds up over a year ($2400!!) Thanks so much for all you do to help others save!

    • Before this month I had no idea what my budget was! But then I had to buy a new furnace and suddenly realized I needed to get serious about money. So this month is my “test month” where I’m categorizing everything. I think I’ll come in around $125 on groceries/household items, but I’ve only in my second week of the Southern Saver system, so I expect that to be way less next month as I start accumulating coupons and getting used to the system.

Thanks so much for this site!

    • Jenn D

I am new to coupons so I havent kept track I am going to start adding up everything next yr to see how we are doing but I will say we have saved about 70% everytime I go to publix thank you for all you have done!!

    • Pam

Our grocery budget for the week is $50.00 (this includes household and medicines) $200.00 a month. So far I have gone over this budget (weekly budget) just 8 times this year and can attribute each overage to illnesses, husband doing the shopping (he did use coupons, he just gave into some “promotional sales”), unexpected events (company due to loss in family). Living on a single income it is imperative to stick to this budget. Our average weekly savings is $45.00 – $65.00 YEAH — we still have a full pantry and full bellies!

    • Candy

I do not really have a budge, however this is my next goal. We are trying to get better and better at managing our money and being more aware of where our money goes. This is our next step, making out a budget. I do know that by using your site, I always save 50-75% every time I go to the grocery store. I always have people in line behind me amazed at my savings and I have had people writing down your web address in line, even the cashiers. Thank you for what you do.

    • Jessi M

Our weekly budget is about $50 for our family of 4. We also have a newborn in diapers :) Thank you so much for all of the great tips and advice! I live in a small city in Texas that only has a locally owned grocery chain that is extremely over-priced and does not double q’s, Target & Walmart. Your sections on Target, Walgreens & CVS have saved my family tons of money :) Thank you so much & Merry Christmas!

    • Linda

We budget about $75 a week. Just found your site a few months ago and love it. Thanks for all your work!

    • Shannon R

I used to spend around $500 per month and now I spend around $30 per month and I get so much more. Thanks Jenny!

    • Jenny,
You have saved us so much! I was budgeting $145.00 per week for a family of 5 (3 teenage boys!!). From October to November to saved more than I spent!! Spent $400, saved over $500!! I was using The Grocery Game, but Southern Savers is soooooo much better in many ways!

    • Annamarie

It used to be around $150 a week for 5 of us…2 adults, 2 big kids and a toddler (#6, a baby doesn’t figure in too much) These days I spend around $300 a month, maybe a little more some months.

    • Jen B

I went to CVS and bought 40$ worth of products. I got RR worth 28$ and had $5 in coupons. So I walked out only using $7. This is the only way to shop. I am hooked on saving big bucks.

    • Shelley

Our monthly budget for groceries, drug stores, & Target is $300 for a family of four, much less than it used to be. Thanks for all of your help saving so much money!

    • Autumn W

I save atleast 50% or more each time I grocery shop, I have been using this site for the past six months and it has helped us out sooooooooo much! Due to my recent job loss every little bit helps and this card would help out so much, especially this time of the year.

    • Charity

$300 includes food, paper/cleaning and hba products.

    • Amber

Just shared your wonderful site and giveaways on FB!

    • karen

my budget is 200 a month but this site has helped me save so much

    • Laura

We spend about 60 dollars a week! With the help of coupons and deals of course ;)

    • Rachel

      Posted this on facebook.

    • My budget for the month is about 500.00 for a family of 6, I am new to coupon clipping due to the lack of funds and just last week I bought 138.00 worth of groceries for 34.34, thanks to your coupons and Bloom’s generosity with double coupons! I am thrilled with what I am saving! The week before I made a trip to Bilo and had 101.00 worth for 42.00, wow just in time for Christmas!!! The amazon gift card would be a terrific help with some Christmas gifts! Merry Christmas to all and have a Happy and Safe Holiday!!!

    • Rebecca

I save around 300 a month. Love it

    • Dana

Monthly budget is between $700-$800/month. Family of 8. Thanks!

    • Kimberly

      Just shared on FB

    • Bethany Johnson

Monthly budget is $500 but I try to keep it as low as I can. We have no Publix here, so I cannot put up big numbers like some other readers. I’m learning though. Keep up the good work.

    • kimberly reyes

we spend about $350 a month

    • Taylor

I don’t really set a monthly budget, but I’m not satisfied if I haven’t saved at least 60% at Publix and 80% at CVS and Walgreens at each shop!

    • MeghanLD

      Monthly budget is $150 – 200 (Usually slightly under $50 a week).

    • My monthly grocery budget is $200.00. I save more than that thanks to Southern Savers…usually around 60%!

    • I shared the link on Facebook!

    • Our monthly budget is about $200. My best so far has been spending $20 and saving $60! wooo hooo!!!

    • Tonya

My weekly budget is $75, but I have been spending between $40 and $50 thanks to coupons and BOGO deals at my local Publix. It’s great!

    • Tracey

We spend around $150/month on all groceries and household items.

    • Jamie

Savings of 40-50% weekly, and just getting started!

    • Andrea B.

I keep it under $300 a month. It is easy now because we are out of diapers and pull-ups and because of southern savers. Thanks for helping me stretch our dollars further so i can stay at home with my boys!

    • Leslie

I don’t really have a set monthly budget, but I don’t tend to buy something unless it is on sale or have a coupon.

    • Angel in Charleston

My 2-year old doesn’t allow me time to compute our savings, but I know we’re saving a lot and getting great deals – thanks to Southern Savers. You rock, Jenny!

    • Amy

I spend about $400 a month for a family of 6,including diapers. It would be less if all 4 of my kids didn’t beg for fruit 3 times a day! But I’d rather pay more for fruit than to get junk food for free!

    • lisa

there are 4 of us in my family. and I typically spend $200 per month.

    • Jean

My budget is less than $50.00 per week. Used to be over $100.00 per week. I am still learning!

I love the website and share it often! Thanks!

    • Teresa T

An estimate of my usual monthly grocery budget is about 500 per month. Our savings are typically about 200 – 250.

    • Stacy Smith

I keep track of my grocery budget on a monthly basis. My monthly grocery budget is $300 (and that includes our eating out trips too). I have been couponing for about a year and before I used coupons our monthly budget was $750. What a different coupons make!!

    • Jess

Our monthly budget is about $250 but I try to stay below $50 a week if I can. I would love to track it like you do, maybe I’ll try that in the new year!!!

    • lyndsey

I used to spend around $600 a month now I spend about $350 a month and hope to get better.

    • Since I’ve started couponing my weekly budget is $40 down from $60 before, but if I can do thirty in one week, that’s wonderful!

    • Kathryn J

Well I have been using southern savers for two weeks and have already saved close to 100 dollars. I have used it for publix, amazon.com, and walgreens. I sure would love to win a prize and I will tell my friends on facebook about it. I became a fan today on facebook of southernsavers!

    • Gabe

hummm… I don’t really have a budget, and I don’t do great each week, but my credit card bill is half it was a few months ago.

    • Heather Davis

I know how you feel now when you share couponing secrets at your seminars…I lead a friend to your website and explained how to use it and she told me today she cut her grocery bill in half. It feels good to help a friend and I thank you so much for all your hard work keeping us informed and prepared. God Bless and Merry Christmas.

    • Jane

Our monthly budget is around $300, which is about half of what it was without coupons.

    • Kelly W.

Shopping at Publix with coupons I usually cut about 30% off of my final total. I could probably do better but haven’t decided to put that much effort into it!

    • Kristin

We spend $100 a week for a family of five. I have one child with some special dietary needs.

    • Kelly W.

      I shared on FB.

    • Our budget has been $200/month until recently. When my husband got a new job and big raise I raised it to $300/month so that I could start buying some organic products and splurging here and there. But saving money is a hard habit to break! We’re under budget this month and are stocked with groceries until the first of the year – maybe longer! My average savings are 65-75%!

    • Melinda

I’ve been following this site since April and save 50 to 75% every week. For the month of November my average was 73% savings. Our son is a single Dad and has been out of work since April. We’ve been feeding 5 and keeping two homes going since then. Couldn’t have done it without Jenny. We have even had enough to fill a box each week to donate to the food pantry. Thanks Jenny!

    • Jennifer

My budget is $100 a week but this includes diapers for 2 and formula for one. Thanks to Southern Savers I have been able to save about 50% on every shopping trip!

    • Jennifer

My budget was around $500 or more per month before this site. Now I’ve cut that in half and I buy higher quality food products and diapers. Thanks for teaching me the tricks of the “trade” when it comes to couponing!

    • Shanna

I usually spend around $250 a month on groceries and I don’t think that is too bad for a family of four.

    • Antoinette

Our monthly budget is $200. We used to spend over $500 before coupons.

    • Bradley

I’m pretty new to the site, still catching up on some of the coupons, since some of them are from papers before we started clipping, but our monthly grocery total went from around $450 a month to under $150 a month, that’s crazy good!

    • Karyn

We have a family of 6 and are currently spending about $200 a month for groceries.

    • i’m always shopping for a deal, b1g1 or using coupons whenever i can. i do shop at whole foods and traders joes as well as walmart, publix and kroger. my husband has celiac disease and i’m a fiber nut. so i’m always trying to mix it up, to get the best bargain along with quality and variety. thanks for all you do to help people like me!
      merry christmas!!!!!!

    • Bradley

I’m also posting on Facebook, thanks again for the awesome website!

    • Would love this!!

    • Carol

      I spend around 150.00 a month.

    • I tweeted about this contest!!

    • Amy

I never really had a budget and just started Southern savers the first week in November. I can estimate my savings, though. I have been stocking up and I go to Publix, Rite-Aid, CVS, and Walgreens each week. On average, I spend about $150 between all 4 stores and save WAY more that that! CVS really boosts my savings, because I have finally learned how to get out of there spending very little. Gone are the days of going to the grocery store to get something to cook for supper, spending $150-$200 and leaving with only enough to cook that night and a few other “junk food” items! Thank you SO much, Jenny!!!

    • Jessica

We have a budget of $300 a month but spend about $40 a week. We save over $500 a month using coupons alone. Thanks!

    • Chazree

I have not kept exact numbers since finding this site. But I try to keep my monthly grocery budget around 200-300 a month for a family of 5. I usually save anywhere from 32% to 67% on my trips to the store thanks to the help of this site.

    • Lizel

my monthly budget is about $50

      I tweeted!

    • Sam

Our monthly grocery budget is $400 for the moment — I admire all of you who do more!

    • Dawn H

What a blessing this would be;) Our weekly budget is around $65ish but i am working on it!

    • Melinda

Made a comment about Southern Savers and my savings on Facebook

    • Jessica

I try to budget 100.00 per week for a family of six. Couponing has been great for our family.

    • Before finding your site, we were spending around $800 a month. Last month we only spent $300, and I’m getting WAY more groceries and cooking WAY better food! Thankful for you, Jenny!

    • Maria

I would say that I average spending about $10-15/week on groceries with some weeks only spending $5!!!!

    • Krystal

We don’t really budget, just consider each purchase and if it is necessary.

    • ~*Brook*~

We budget for $120 every week for groceries and household supplies including ALOT of cokes and pet food. Its only me, the husband, and 3 furry babies. I usually spend way less than that though. In the past three months of using this site and couponing, we have put $600 of our budget into savings!!

    • Natalie

this past month around $500, with an almost equal amount saved- so thanks so much for all you do!!

    • Jody

Our family of 4 has budget of around $75 per week. I save a lot thanks to your website, but the only grocery store I have easy access to is Food Lion. They have some pretty good deals sometimes, but I sure wish they would double coupons or offer a gas perks program. On average, I probably save 25%-50% per week thanks to your website! Thanks you!

    • Bree Clayton

monthly budget used to be approx 400. i’ve gotten it down to 300 but ive just started 4 weeks ago

    • Julie F

I typically spend about $500 per month for our family of 6. This includes all food/toiletries and pet foods. We average about $200 in savings with coupons and using your site each month.

    • Jody

I also posted on twitter. Thank you for the opportunity!

    • Amy

I just posted on my FB page. Sure hope I win this one. Being unemployed at Christmas STINKS!!!!

    • Bree Clayton

i share the secret of southernsavers every chance i get (like today at the work potluck. I share on facebook as well :)

    • Allison

Since I began couponing and shopping Publix BOGO’s I save somewhere between 30-50% a week. I used to spend around $150-180 a week on groceries. Now I spend on average $60 a week, some weeks as low as $25. Not bad for a family of 5 with two in diapers!

    • Amanda

My monthly budget is $300 for a family of six. I am so glad we coupon and don’t have to spend more than that!

    • Amie

I love this site it it is extremely helpful. We save atleast 50% but most of the time we save in the upwards of 80% or more

    • Valarie

I just started couponing and using Southern Savers…I think I probably saved at least $300 last month!

    • Monique W.

      Wow! 8 Days already?!?
My monthly grocery budget is between $300 and $400 dollars depending on what is going on that month. We Dave Ramsey (yes, that is a shameless plug) budget.
However, thanks in large part to SS I am saving about 60-75% on my groceries as well as stocking the things that I know I will use!!! This is so much better than when I wasn’t couponing and didn’t really budget and just spent money. Thank you Thank you Thank you!

    • Christina R

I shop for my two kids and I. I spend $400 a month. It was double that before I found your site. Love you!!!!

    • Christina R

      Shared you on fb!

    • Stacie

Before Southern Savers, I averaged $130 – $150 per week for groceries. Now I average $65 a week. If I don’t save at least 50% on my purchases each week, I get very upset with myself (and immediately start scrutinizing every price to figure out where I went “wrong”!). I have a few times saved as much as 70%, but that’s not typical. In 2010 I think I will try to target getting my budget down to $50 a week!!!

    • Ruth Ann

This was my first trip after visiting this website. We hit CVS and Publix bogo sale with coupons and we now have more food on our shelves than we have had in a while. A big thank you!!

    • Sara

I only recently started using coupons and this site. I’ve been able to spend under my budget of $60 a week since mid Oct. Thanks!

    • Tyrena

we budget $600 a month- hoping to drop that some as i get more familiar with your site & figure out how all this works! :D

    • Lori S

please enter me into the 8th day giveaway.

    • Deana Marcum

We never had a grocery budget before I started using Southern Savers. I’m now known by all my local Publix employees as the coupon lady. : ) But it’s a good thing! I’ve been told I’m one of the few that is fair and honest with my coupon and stocking up deals. Our budget is now $50 per week for our family of 3, so $200 per month. But there have been some weeks we only spend about $20 as we have learned to get by with less. We wasted so much before and now my husband and I really think about our needs versus wants. At least one week per month we can now take a “break” from grocery shopping, only buying needs like milk, bread, veggies and fruit. Thank you Jenny!!!

    • Becky

My grocery budget is $150 per week. But now that I am saving a good bit of money…I am putting the money I am saving out of that $150 and it is going towards a bill. So if I only spend $50 for that week then I have $100 to apply to a credit card or something along that lines

    • Lori S

please enter me again in the giveaway. i posted on twitter about the giveaway. thank you!

    • Katy

I’m trying to get my weekly budget down to $50 a week for a family of 6, but it seems to be hovering more closely to $80/week. Much better than it used to be!

    • Allison

I commented about my savings on facebook.

    • Laura

About $400 dollars a month. Thanks for all your hard work with the Publix ads, I have saved a ton and have a well stocked fridge and pantry!

    • David

Our monthly budget is whatever my wife sets it too!

    • David

I commented about this on my facebook

    • Missy

I would love to win an Amazon gift card!! I would definitely get someone a nice surprise with it!!

    • Michelle

I was spending about $600.00 a month BEFORE learning about Southern Savers…Now, I spend only about $200.00 a month!! This is for a family of FIVE. Whoo Hooo… Thank you Jenny!!

      • Michelle

Hey Jenny. Wanted to let you know that I shared my love for Southern Savers on Facebook!! :)

    • Wow, what a finale to a great 8 days…thanks southernsavers.

    • Tracy C.

For a family of seven our monthly totals are around $450.00. Now with your help we get more and better food for our money with the foods that we buy. Thank you and God Bless you for taking time to do this for us!

    • Michelle

Spend about $120/week. Save about $50/week. Not as good as I would like for it to be. Hope to save more in the future.

    • Jennifer

I try to keep our monthly to below $100/month. Its actually very easy to do even with all the milk we buy.

    • My grocery budget is $400 for three adults, but thanks to coupons and deals I can usually spend between $120 (on a really tight month) and $300.

    • Nej

I would say on average we spend about 50-60 a week and save a TON more thru coupons, specials, match ups, & BOGOs. :)

    • Amy T.

My budget is around $400 – for all food and household consumables, diapers, etc. I hope it will go down a little after the diaper era ends. I am saving just about 50% consistently.

    • Jennifer

Shared this on facebook like I always to

    • Ashleigh

Budget to feed a healthy, hungry family of five (including formula) is about $100 a week. Thanks for all your help!

    • Andrea Jones

Our monthly grocery budget had been $500. Thanks to Southern Savers and all of Jenny’s hard work, I’ve managed to cut my budget in half. It has made a huge difference for all of us in our house. With the money that we save on groceries, we are able to put it aside for vacations or special events, without having to worry :). We moved to GA about a year and a half ago and I love keeping in touch with my SC friends, even mailing each other coupons from the Sunday papers, so that we can get all the different coupons and maximize our savings!

I’ll be sure to share this on my Facebook! Thanks :)

Monthly budget, about $800, savings, about 60%, with your help!

    • morgan

      We spend around $40/ week.

    • Emily

I have no idea what my budget would equal. I’m horrible with numbers. I have been saving at least 50% since starting to use this site. Well, with the exception of some Wal-Mart shopping today. There were things I had to have, I have a cold and it was raining so I did not want to go into more than one store. The rest of the trips will make up for it. :) Thanks!

    • Sherry McNeil

My monthly budget is about $200, I save alot with BOGO and coupons.

    • This site has been so useful to me. If I had started couponing 15 years ago like my MIL tried to get me to do I would be a real pro by now but it is never too late to start. Thanks for the help and thanks to my friend Deborah for putting me on to you and giving me the lseeon in couponing basics a few months ago. I have saved 45 – 68% on almost every grocery bill since then.

    • kathy

My monthly budget is $400.00 for groceries. I usually save at least 50%! I have a nice stock pile!

    • With your help, I am spending $40-60 a week for a family of 4.

    • facebooked it

    • Tara Dixon

I save about $130 a week with a family of six and two growing boys. I have been couponing since April of 2009. I absolutely have fallen in love with shopping now. I go to the stores two to three times a week and come home beaming!! I only wish I would have know about it a long time ago. Thank you for all the information on the great deals, it puts a huge smile on my face when coming home with the bounty!

    • Kristin

budget is $275, we only go out 1x/month and i cook at home 5-6 nights a week, one night is FFY or leftovers!

    • Emily

      I shared on facebook. :)

    • Kristin

      and tweeted too :)

Just posted this on Twitter @cbramblett

    • Lindy

I don’t exactly have a budget, but I know I save a ton of money by using your site… at least 50% on my grocery bill every week!

    • auntsonia

Before Southernsavers I was spending around $100 every 2 weeks on groceries and now I spend about $50 every 2 weeks. I’m hoping to cut it down even more since I’ve just started couponing in the last couple of months.

      • auntsonia

BTW, I posted this on twitter too!

    • Stacie

I posted this link on my facebook page! Hoping to win this grand prize!!! :)

    • Elba

I average about $45 to $55 a week. Than you for all hard work.

    • Melanie

My weekly grocery budget is $60 for a family of 3. I have saved $3150.38 since I attended on of your workshops in February!!! Not too shabby!

    • alexisb

I try to keep my monthly grocery budget at $400 for a family of 3. But that also includes all the “extra” things that I may need like once a month like detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, dog food etc….

But lately with all the savings from southernsavers.com I save about $100/month.

    • Sarah

I aim to spend $40 a week. I have just started couponing and am already saving about 54%. Excited to get better and save more!

    • Diana

Idon’t have a fixed monthly budget. But I try to spend less than $50.00 a week for a family of 4

    • Sarah

      I’ve shared through facebook!

    • Kelley

Used to spend about $90 a week for the 2 of us. I just started couponing and now I am down to about $50 a week (and there are 3 of us now, so that is w/ diapers). My $50 a week is for EVERYTHING–diapers, cleaning products, food, toiletries, etc…
I am hoping to cut it down to $35-40 a week as I increase my stockpile in the pantry and freezer.

Thanks for all you do. You have changed the way I think about shopping!

    • Emily

Before Southern Savers: approximately $1200 per month on groceries. After discovering Southern Savers: $500 per month. Still working to get that lower! Thanks, Jenny!

    • Charlie Plaag

$65.00 a week for 5 people (on average). I couldn’t do it without you!

Our grocey budget is now $50 a week. That’s a savings of at least 60% per week. My favorite weeks are when I spend less than $50 and get to set a little extra for Mommy! Merry Christmas to all my fellow couponers. Oh what fun it is to save more for Christmas Day, hey!

    • Beth W.

Our Monthly budget is around 400.00 on groceries.. I come in way under that most weeks…

    • Kelly

Whoa what a great gift! Merry Christmas!

    • Johnny Lee

60.00 a week is our grocery store budget.. we are still eating out way to often, but this site has saved us a ton! Thanks!!

    • Laura

Monthly budget for a family of 5 is $400 a month, but right now that includes diapers. Thanks for all of your help with saving money!

    • Tara Dixon

I just tweeted about this giveaway:)

    • Jessica

Currently our monthly budget is about $300 or $75 a week for 4. Haven’t been using coupons for long, but I’m hoping to bring it down a bit. Since we live in a rural area, we don’t have many choices when it comes to grocery stores, so I can’t take advantage of a lot of deals – but trying to do the best I can with what we have!

    • Michelle

We used to eat the same things over and over before I stumbled upon this site with $110/week as a budget. Now I am spending $50/week and getting way more than I could have imagined. Thank You for all of your help!!!

    • Cheryl Webb

Our budget is $600.00 a month but I also help my parents as well.

    • We spend $60 a week for everything and I average about 70% savings each week.

    • Heather

My absolute favorite store is Amazon!! :D We are in a really unusual living situation, so our budget is $20 per month, and I usually don’t even spend all that. We are living with my parents after having a really rough couple of years in the job and medical departments. They are gracious enough to provide free housing and mostly free food.

    • candee

For a family of 6 and lots of family coming by to graze I usually have a food budget of about 500-600 dollars per month. Since I have started coupons, it has saved me hundreds of dollars!!

    • BBKMommy

My budget is about $400, thanks to you I’m down to spending about $150-$200! I love it!!!

    • Amy

      Who couldn’t use a gift card?! ;-P

    • shan

Because of couponing and smart shopping, I have moved my food budget from $700 a month to $350-400 a month in one year. Praise God for a friend to enlighten me!

    • Samantha

I just shared this link on facebook!

    • Leah

Our budget is $160 a month & that includes diapers! We typically save well over $150 a month. Esp. since I’ve found SS!

    • Janelle

Family of 5, (3 children, 3 and under). Diapers alone were almost killing us. I have been southern saving for 2 mths and have cut my weekly bill from 170 down to 80 dollars a week for groceries and diapers/toiletries. I am so happy to be saving. This is the only way to be a stay at home mother of 3. Thanks Jenny

    • BamaFan

Monthly budget about 400 – but this website certainly helps shave off lots of dollars

    • Corey

About $200-$250 a month. I save much more though. I save probably good $100 or more so it helps to allow a splurge if needed ;)

    • Roxanne

We probably spend 100.00 a week. Just getting the hang of the Publix thing, then will work on the drugstores. I would so love to win todays giveaway. I did not realize at the different things that Amazon sells. I mostly have thought of them as a book store, so this is quite a surprise.

    • Connie

My monthly grocery bill has been running me about $725. I just started using your website the end of last month and have already saved hundreds because of it!!!! Thanks so much!!!

    • Ann

Our monthly grocery budget is $300 but since southern savers came into our lives, we spend around $200 a month.

    • becky

My monthly budget before Southern Savers was $380 on groceries and even more with bathroom supplies. So far my monthly budget for groceries is about $120 and bathroom supplies for $50 a month. Awesome! I started a savings account and am watching it grow.

My montly budget is about $240. We have 4 in our family.

    • Caroline Grossman

Our grocery budget is $400 per month. I know that prior to finding your blog and using coupons this year it was about double that amount.

    • Yesterdays Publix run was the best yet. I spent 80.00, but with coupons taken off the total was $33.00. $17.00 of that was the ham for Christmas dinner. I did not have a coupon for the ham.

    • Janelle

Shared about this on Facebook. Thanks for changing the mindset of many shoppers!

    • Tracy

My food budget – about $300.00. Thanks for helping stick to that budget.

    • Janae

My monthy grocery budget is around $150

    • Rachel

Long time coupon user, but new to “serious” coupon usage. Saved 50.00 last week!!! That was great. This week didn’t go as well, as we are having company and I had to purchase specific items for the festivities. More time to spend next week saving money!!

    • Rachel

I shared your site with my mom last weekend and have gotten her into the coupon saving mode. Thank you

    • Jinny

My monthly grocery budget is $297. I don’t use it all recently. We have me and my husband and my 7 month old daughter. She doesnt need much just yet. I have been saving an average of 30-40% since starting SouthernSavers. Thank you.

    • Katherine

Our budget was $400 for ever, but since following your tips, I spend around $280…we only shop at Publix…and the savings help me pick up those special items at EarthFare & FreshMarket. Plus, I feel MUCH calmer seeing my shelves stacked with food.

    • Michelle

What an interesting question. I am enjoying reading everyone’s response. Our “Food and Stuff” (toilet paper, stamps, toiletries, groceries, going out) budget is $400 a month for 2 of us but we usually only use 75% of it. Even less since I discovered your site. This month I’ve only spent $70 on groceries so far for 3 week. That also allows us to go out once a week.

    • Karen

We previously budgeted $800 per month for groceries and toiletry items, but usually went over….sometimes $1,000 per month. Now, we have a full pantry and I usually spend around $400 – $500 per month for everything! My husband is soooo happy!!!
Thanks for all you do! It helps so many people!

    • Jenn

I spend about $100 a month on groceries. Savings are different all the time!

    • Aisha

I usually save around $200 to $300 a month thanks to Publix and Kroger..and of coarse you Jenny. Thanks!!

    • LOVE your site!! i just started probably 1 month ago. i’ve saved MORE than i’ve spent, and that’s huge! i save at LEAST half, and usually alot more. thank you!!!

    • Karsten

We are a family of 7 and my weekly food budget is $50. I’m amazed every week that I can walk out of the store with bags full for under $20! I have a son with Celiac’s disease and we are still able to come in at or under budget. I would say, I average about 70% savings, sometimes higher, sometimes lower.

    • Michelle

I wrote about it on facebook.

    • Kelly

Our monthly budget is $350 but we spend less than that usually, maybe $325ish. Thanks for the great contest!

    • Ann

What makes me the most excited about the savings I have discovered through this site is the money I save on diapers and wipes. I have not paid full price for diapers in 3-4 months, and most of the time save 50% or more off the retail price!!!!!

    • Arissa

My grocery budget for the month is around $500 a month for 8 people. Last month I came in about $150 under budget. :)

    • Missie Byrd

With three boys eating us out of house and home, our savings have been HUGE! I have cut my food bill by about 35%. We have been able to put the savings towards paying off debt and sending our oldest son to college. Thank you Jenny for everything!!!

    • Reagan

we spend about 200 on groceries and we save about 50 percent on average so i guess like 200 also :) we are getting better and better so thats good!! :)

We are a family of six, one income. My goal each “shopping trip” is to save at least 50-60% with the use of coupons. Of course, if the kids stay home, I usually come out much better.( dont have to buy all the extra goodies).
      Merry Christmas !

i try to budget about $100.00/wk but because of Southern Savers & “couponing” as my husband says I usually average about $60-70/wk. This gift would be an awesome gift because I could use it (and my coupons)to buy diapers for my 36 y/o friend w/ 3 kids (11,7,7) who just found out she’s pregnant!!! Thanks for all your hard work Jenny!!

    • Jennifer M

I went from spending $125 a WEEK to around $70, sometimes less, depending on the deals.
      Thanks, Jenny!!

    • Darbi

Our grocery budget was $500 a month before I started using Southern Savers. We are gradually lowering the budget because we are saving so much using Southern Savers. We are saving at least $100 a month. I have only been using this website for a couple of months, but my savings keep increasing. I have noticed the longer we use it the more we are saving.

      Love the website!

    • Kayla

Our monthly food budget is $350 per month.

    • Kayla

Just posted this link to Facebook.

Before Southern Savers, we spent about $220 a month on groceries. After Southern Savers, we spend about $55 a month and the pantry is overflowing.

    • Thanks for the great prize opportunities this week.

    • Rhodes

Our food budget is $55 per week and I’ve saved bundles with Southern Savers.

    • Jenni

Our monthly grocery “budget” used to be about $400, AND we were on WIC. We taken ourselves off of WIC, and with the types of strategies given here, I’ve STILL been able to cut our budget to $320, without having to sacrifice anything – milk, fresh produce, quality meats, yummy snacks, etc. I’m so grateful for the help you give us all, Jenny! I tell everyone I meet at the grocery stores about your website!

    • Rhodes

I told all of my friends to check this website out on Facebook.

    • Christy

For my family of seven before Southern Savers we were spending between $800-1000 a month. I am still in awe that we are now at a budget between $400-500 a month!! It has absolutely been such a blessing! Thanks for all you do to help!

Thanks to your site, our family of 7 has gone from a $750/month budget, to $250/month!!! You are amazing- Thank you, thank you!!

    • J. O’Shields

As awful as this is, we don’t have an official budget. : / We limit our grocery shopping to the essentials, though, and we’re pretty habitual about those. For anything outside the routine purchases, I insist on using the sale-coupon combos to the point where I pay almost nothing for them.

    • Naomi

We spend about $200 a month. Making a New Year’s resolution to get that lower :)!

    • Jen

We spend around $75 a week for a family of four. We try to eat as much organic as possible. Thank you, thank you for all you do!

    • lynn

Happy birthday present for my daughter birthday on dec24 she will be 12 she would love this

    • Tiffani

I get $150 a week to spend on groceries, food and diapers. So far, I usually have some left over thanks to couponing.

    • I usually average savings of somewhere between 75%-90%. We used to spend somewhere around $250-$350 per month and now it’s more like $60-$100 and sometimes even less.

Great prize. Good luck to everyone and Merry Christmas!

Back in the early spring our grocery bills looked similar to this every two weeks (hubbies pay schedule)
      $150.00 @ Bi-Lo
      $150.00 @ Walmart
      $150.00 @ Aldi or Sav-a-Lot. Yes that’s a total of $450.00 every pay check for 5 peeps!
We’ve been Q’ing for 6 months. We now spend a combined amount per week of around $60.00!! @ CVS, Wags, Publix and Target. I hardly ever go to Walmart or Bi-Lo! That’s a savings of $330.00 per check!!!
      Loving the savings! Thanks Jenny!

    • Mel

My weekly grocery budget is around $50. Thanks to you that $50 gets me TONS of stuff! Before your site, I matched things up myself with coupons, and it took FOREVER. Thank you for saving me time and TONS of money!! I also twittered and facebooked.

    • Stephanie

$150-200 per month for me and my brother. I eat like a guy and he eats even more than me.

    • Rebecca

My monthly budget (family of 3) was always $400, always went way over. I’m not sure what it’s going to be now that I’m SAVING, but I saved over $700 since November 1 when I first started SAVING!! Thank you Southern Savers!

    • For our family of 5 we spend around $300 a month and that includes diapers for 2 children. W love your sight and I have sent it to everyone on my email. I don’t facebook. Don’t have time with 3 kids under 5 and couponing. Thanks for all your help. This would really help make our family christmas special. Thanks Gloria

    • Catherine Wofford

I twitter-linked this so hopefully a lot more people will come by!

    • Donna

My average savings is 60% per month. I spend less than $400 on everything – groceries, toiletries, paper products and cleaning supplies (for a family of 6). Shopping for these items used to be so stressful! Not any more – it’s actually fun to see how much I can save!!!

    • carrie m

We had budgeted about 400.00 a month but this is the first month of couponing so we will see in the next few months how much we have been saving!

    • Mandie

So December was our first month doing the southern savings plan. We are currently doing Dave Ramsey so we had to figure out how to combine emealz (mealtimemakeover.com) and coupons. We typically spend about $400 each month which includes meals, necessities and diapers. The month of December we spent $187 and saved $137!!!! This is a life changer! Thanks so much for all you do and for teaching us how to be good stewards of the things with which God blesses us!

      Merry Christmas!

I save quite a bit couponing. Usually save 50 percent most all times. For example: I got 5 bottles of herbal essense shampoo/conditioner for 1.97! love to save. Especially on a tight budget and being a single mom.

I would love to win this because I would use it for diapers and party favors for my daughter who’s about to turn one! : D

    • MelRae

My budget is $600 a month, but that includes eating out, haircuts, etc….anything that is not part of a monthly “bill”. Happily, we have been coming in under budget several months this year! Thanks to Jenny!

    • Sabrina Williams

For my family of 3 I spend $100-$150 a week. I wish I could cut that down A LOT, and I also use coupons.

    • Leigh Ann

I was spending around $110 a week (before Southern Savers). My Fam of 4 budget is now $50 a week. AND we are eating GREAT! This is exciting stuff!!!

    • Dana

My budget was about$100 per month but with the savings around $70 per month hope to get it lower next year thanks for all the help.

    • My monthly goal is about $200. Sometimes I go under, sometimes over. I generally save about 50% – that’s my aim anyway. We’re a family of five, but the children are 6, 3 and 1. Also, I don’t include diapers in the grocery budget.
Thanks for all you do, Jenny! You’ve saved me a bundle!!

    • Amanda G

    • Susie

It’s just two of us at my house…we spend $34 dollars a week ($136/month, that is for groceries and all toiletries. Thanks Southern Saver! You have helped my cut out previous amounts in half!!

    • Pam

      Thanks for all you do

    • Kelly

My hubby gives me $50 a week and that’s what I stick to. The funny thing is that I have been doing that for so long now he thinks it’s normal. I have to remind him that “normal” people spend more like 150. Thanks Jenny!

    • I save about 60% on average on my monthly groceries

Our weekly grocery budget is about $50-65, which probably sounds high for just two people, but a lot better than the $100 or so that we used to spend! Now that we’re having a baby, I’m hoping to get that number even lower since I know all kinds of other expenses will go up!

    • Mollie

We spend about $250 a month on groceries for a family of 5. I would still love to get it a little lower….Thanks so much for all you do!

    • Heather B.

We used to spend $500 a month and now we only spend, maybe $300 that includes Diapers/baby stuff for 2 kids. We have come a long way thanks to Jenny!

    • Michelle Wells

Our grocery/personal care budget is $320 per month. Prior to learning how to use coupons and finding your site we were spending atleast $150 per week. I also usually am able to get lots of cheap or free things that I’m able to give to my local food pantry. Thanks for all you do. You’re not only helping my family save money, but also helping us give back to our community.

    • Amber

First, let me say thanks for all the work you do for these deals. I have gotten so many great grocery and gift items from this website. :)

As far as groceries go, I don’t spend alot as there are only two of us. My average grocery bill is around $50 a MONTH, if I have to purchase meats and household items. Otherwise, I try to stock items that are a great deal.

I also try to make multiple meals out of one item. For instance, I get a bag of meatballs, and make one pot of sauce. This becomes pasta with meatballs, meatball subs, and pizza sauce. Slice the meatballs to add to pizza, or just use the sauce and add additional toppings. I also try to cook a stir fry that I can use for fajitas or paninis. I’m all about stretching my dollars.

    • Lorie

After learning how to coupon the “Right” way – I spend about $25 a week for our family of 2, sometimes more when we have foster children.

    • Madalyn

hello! What a blessing this GC would be! With 2 in diapers, those are what eats the majority of our budget. We spend about $300 a month

    • candice

I try to stay around $60 per week for groceries. I know that may not seem like much, but with much thanks to Jenny I am able to stay within that range. Yesterday I went to Publix and spent $42.95 and saved $45.49. I love it when you are able to save more than you spend!

    • Stephanie

I try to spend about $75 a week.

    • Anslie

I have just found your website and hope to get our $500 budget WAY down!!!!

    • We have 6 children and two adults in our home and we average between $450 and $500 a month on groceries.

    • I just tweeted about my savings and this great 8th day of giveaways

    • Erica

We don’t have a budget, but we all shoot to save at least 30% but prefer more like 60%. Our diet is a bit stricter so we have to spend a bit more, but it’s worth it.

    • Keri

My monthly budget for a family of 6 is $350.00. Can’t wait till I’m getting papers every week so I can make it Stretch. Thanks southern savers!!

    • Sheree

My daughter showed me your website last week, so I haven’t shopped since then, but you can bet my coupons and lists are made for my first “Southern Savers” trip!!

    • Catherine

I’ve been spending so MUCH LESS since finding your site! Where I used to easily spend $150 a week on groceries + household items, now I hate to see a receipt where I paid more than $ 30 OOP.
Thanks for all the insights and savings! It’s made a huge difference!
      Merry Christmas!

    • Donna G

My family of 7 eats on about $100 a week for everything, including toiletries and cat food. I’m new at this, but went to Publix this week and spent $30 and saved $50. Not bad!

    • I just left this link on my FB status line. :)How awesome would it be to win this! I could find some awesome books and homeschool supplies.

    • Christian

I am new to coupon”ing”. We probably spend around 400.00 a month, but this past month it was closer to 300.00. Thanks for all your help. Shopping is stressful but this site helps a great deal.

    • Bethany

We save well over $300 a month by using coupons, and shopping at publix.

My monthly budget is $200, but I probably spend more, but that’s because we have 5 cats (kitty litter and food) and 6 dogs (dog food) and a 20 month old who’s in diapers.

    • Rhonda Slaughter

My monthy grocery budget is $350. And, I save anywhere from 30% – 60% on my gorceries each time. I can’t tell you how much I love your site and how much I save now that I use it!! Thank you so much!!!

    • We shoot for $250-300/month. There’s only 3 of us, but we buy a good bit of natural and organic products so we’re very, very pleased with our savings since we started using your site. Thank you!

    • Jennifer Leath

Because of this site and Publix, we spend no more than $50.00 a week for a family of five!!!! Yeah!

    • Mary K

I budget 270 a month for a family of 4….this includes all my drug store purchases as well! Thanks for helping me reach my goals!

    • Kristie

Our month grocery budget is around $600 for a family of 6. Thanks to your site, I have been able to lower that and have money left over each month. Thank you so much for your hard work!

    • katherine ballard

I budget $50 a week for groceries and drugstores. Thanks to you for allowing me to obtain this! I have shared this website with several of my friends and everyone is saving! You are awesome, please award me that gift certificate so I can stay within my xmas budget! Please!

    • cherish

i used to spend at least $1,000 a month on groceries…without coupons and planning. now, i spend closer to $500. Judging from the other comments, I have a ways to go. But, I’m getting there. :) Thanks for all you do, Jenny!

    • sarah

My budget for groceries is $200 biweekly. I save anywhere from $20 to $90.

    • Annette

I don’t have a monthly budget for food just yet, going to start the first of the year with a budget, just learning to use coupons for the best deals

    • Kristi

Our budget before Southern Savers was between $300 and $400 a month. Using your site has helped us save at least 50%!

    • elizabeth

We try spending no more than 75 per week. Thanks for helping us achieve this most of the time!!!

    • elizabeth

I shared this on Facebook. Thanks!

    • charlene

I have only been on Southern Savers a short time but I do know i have saved. This Amazon card would be a blessing to our home. Thank you for the opportunity to win.

      :) Charlene

    • Sheryl

We spend about 300 a month for 2 adults and two babies..including diapers and formula.

    • Amy

We budget $260 a pay period which I greatly desire to decrease!! Still learning the use of coupons for really big savings. I average about $20 in savings each pay…would love for more!

    • Our budget before savings is $140 bi-weekly and we save about $32.00 on average!!!

    • Cathy

My monthly budget for 4 is $300. That includes all paper goods, toiletries, etc. Some months I only spend $200 and still have lots to stockpile.

    • That Amazon gift card sounds like a great prize! I’m still pretty new to couponing (3 months now). This was the first site I was ever introduced to and I visit here daily. I was so excited about saving that I started my own blog that I post deals to daily. I also try very hard to get extra papers and print extra coupons to help my Mom (72 years old) save money too. My Mom loves to save money, but doesn’t have the patience to put it all together. I put together the coupons and lists of what she should buy to get the best deals.
I myself usually save $80 every time I go to the grocery store. Since I started couponing I have probably saved $400 in the past 3 months just at the grocery store (Food Lion). Much thanks to people like you who take the time to find and put these deals together for us.
Hope you have a happy holidays!

    • Mrs

Our rough budget is about $100 a week.

    • Amanda

I need to put myself on a budget…I know that I could be saving a ton with all the information on the site…I have started using the publix BOGO free and love it…..Thanks for all you hard work….

    • Linda

Our budget goal is about $200 per month for a family of 5, some months go over, but I’m saving so much now thanks to this site!

    • Julie

Our budget is an average of $50 a week.

    • Amy

As a result of your website, we are saving about $400 a month and getting to try different food — thanks for showing us the way to more money in our pocket! Even my husband helps with the couponing!

    • tally

Just a few short months ago I would have had to say $950 but thanks to this site and taking some time to educate myself I now have it down to $450! I am still growing and learning so I hope to do even better soon. I would have never of thought it was possible and it has truly saved our family so thank you in every way.

    • Tiffany Davis

Before I started couponing, my budget was $700 a month. Now that I coupon, my budget is $300 a month. Wow what a savings that is.

    • Our weekly budget for groceries is about $100. Yesterday I went to Bi-Lo and before coupons my bill was $163. I paid $45. What a deal! I would love to win the Amazon card! Thanks for all you do. This has really been fun!

      • I posted on Facebook as well!

    • Ashley

Monthly budget for us (hubby, me, 2year old, and 6 month old) is $160. That is food, household supplies, toiletries, diapers, everything. Couldn’t make it without coupons and your blog!

    • Budget about $50/wk and save about $50/wk!

    • Catherine

My montly savings have increased about $150-$200 a month from your website!

    • Julie Adams

Our weekly budget is generally $50-$75 for 2 adults and 2 kids (5 yrs, 3 yrs and 5 months). That is food and household supplies. Occasionally, it will be $100 (as in maybe once per month?). I generally get more than we need thanks to coupons and such and save at least what I spend (so $50 or more in savings)if not more! That doesn’t include diapers/wipes….I’m stocked up on those until the little one is potty trained (or pretty close)…..started stocking up once we found out we were having boy #3 :)

    • I don’t have a real budget anymore, but it used to be $300 per month, pre-baby. I spend soooo much less now that I’m into couponing.

    • Eli

Monthly budget with coupons is about $70 a week for 5 people. Without
this site, who knows how high might be! Thank you for all you do and
      Merry Christmas.

    • beth

prior to couponing i spent 150+ a week on groceries. Now that i coupon I budget $35/week!! this includes diapers for two kids and tons of milk!

    • Kimmie

I try not to spend more than $100 a week for a family of 4.

    • Lisa B

My weekly budget WAS $350.00. I now spend less than $50.00 a week…all thanks to you…. I went to Publix today for my biweekly trip and spent 100.03 I saved over $140.00! I am posting on Facebook about how wonderful you are and how helpful.. Today in Publix my receipt was longer than my little girl who is 9. The lady behind me hugged my neck and asked for my secret..I told her “Mrs. Jenny” she looked at me funny and then I gave her your website address.
Merry Christmas and thanks for all you do!

    • weslie

We went from spending $110-$150 a week down to $40-70 a week in just 2 months!!! Thank you sooo much Jenny, you’re site is wonderful and I tell everyone I know about it! I can’t wait to see how much I save next year! :)

    • melissa

I was introduced to this site in June. With your help I have saved hundreds of dollars. For a family of five with one in diapers I tried to spend no more than 125.00/week before I started using your site. Each month I have progressively gotten better. Last month I averaged 57.88/week. WooHoo!! Thank you so much Jenny for all you do.

    • I spend about 80 bucks a month (but that’s just for one person)

    • Carla

Saw my Kroger receipt today and it said that I had saved $800 this year just due to their sales, so paying attention really pays off! Thanks for all your help.

    • Michelle

My weekly budget is $75 for gas and groceries. I save on average $200 a week. Thanks so much for all the help.

    • Jenny

I try to keep my monthly grocery budget at $200. I usually save at least that much every month.

    • Stormimay

Oh wow. This would be such a great win. For one month of groceries our family of 9, (only 8 eaters, well, he eats but I don’t have to buy his food yet…) we spend about $800. I’ve just started couponing so I am hoping to get it little lower.

    • Jenny

Facebook knows I love Southern Savers!!!

    • Monthly budget was $450 and now $250. Thanks to Southern Savers!

    • Kristin

My budget had been $100 a month for 2 adults and a toddler, my husband and I are splitting up but my brother is living with me now so it’s still 2 adults and a toddler. I could not have survived on that without couponing, and your site is one of the best. I am on foodstamps now and get $300 a month, since I consistently save an average of 60% on my grocery bill that works out to about $800 worth of food every month. I am stockpiling like a little squirrel because I just got a promotion and my fs budget will likely be cut in half or less. I had been planning for the day when I could be off fs and a stockpile will really ease the transition. Thanks for the awesome site and the great giveaway!

    • Amy B

Monthly grocery budget — $160. Was much higher before Southern Savers! Thanks!

    • Tabitha

I usually shop at Bi-lo and YTD there I have saved over $2000!!! On average I probably spend $25-$30 a week (for a family of 3) on groceries thanks to Southern Savers!!! Thank you Jenny for all the hard work you put into this site for us!!!

    • Jennifer

I am new to southern savers, but so far I have been saving about 50% at publix on my shopping trips!! Much better than I used to do.

    • Larissa

I would normally spend about $460 a month. Now I spend 175 a month. Yeah

    • brandie

My normal grocery budget was $1200 a month with 4 kids two of which are teenagers eating me out of house and home. ive been using southernsavers for just about a month now and and my spending this month is currently at $426.87. How amazing is that! thank you so much Jenny!!!!

    • Jessica

My monthly budget is $250. Last month I was under budget by a few dollars and saved over $400!!!! That was my first month following Southern Savers! We’ve never had so much food in the pantry, and I’m WAY under budget this month.

    • brandie

i tweeted about these amazing calculations

    • Heather

I spend about $200-300 each month, depending on what I’m stocking up on. I think I save much more than that.

    • Shannon in ATL

Right now saving over 500$ in groceries…don’t get me started on CVS!

    • Elaine

My monthly budget for all household consumables (paper prods, health and beauty, food, cleaning, etc) is 300 for a family of 4. It’s definitely coming down! I spend now about 60 a week between Publix and BiLo. Some various Earthfare, Whole foods etc thrown in. I save on average 60% – as high as 80% some weeks and as low as 40% during the holidays.

    • andrea

My monthly budget is $800.00. I’m trying to get it around $600.00 or possibly lower.

    • Jenn

Wow!! Thank you Jenny!!! I could buy almost all of our school books for next year. That would be such a blessing!!!!

    • Dawn B.

We usually spend $40-$50 a week these days, but we also eat out way too much. Thanks for all the giveaways! Hope you have a great holiday season!

    • For a family of 3 we are around $300 a month. I used to be able to do $175 a month. My resolution for 2010 is to get back to that total!

    • Miranda

My weekly grocery budget is about $30! This would be awesome – my little boy needs a new carseat and we’re strapped for cash, so this is much needed! Thanks for the giveaways!

    • Marlo

Before a friend referred me to this site I was spending about $100 every week now my budget is $200 a month thanks to your savings. I know I save at least $200 a month(:

    • Miranda

      I shared this on facebook!

    • Stephanie

I am able to maintain a 78% savings monthly. Taking my bill from 1300 to 400 per month for a family of five with two dogs and a cot. I give free classes as a way of ngiving back to help others learn how to save money. I always give praise to your web site ande am thankful for all you do! I recently was able to help my daughters 7th greade class when a contest for a food drive and would never have been abloe to do so without your site! Hats off to you Jenny!!!

    • Just started couponing last month. So far saved my husband and I about 60% every trip. I love it. I can’t stop doing it. Tonight I bought our entire dinner for $1.78 at Kroger!!! I have not been able to purchase any Christmas gifts this year because we just purchased a new home, so these giftcards would be much appreciated!

    • Kathleen

Our budget is 200-250 per month. This was our budget before couponing, but I could never meet it. We have a lot more food now – my husband loves the variety. :) – I typically save 50-75% at the grocery store and more at the drugstore :)

    • Joy Gleason

My weekly goal is $50 a week for EVERYTHING: groceries, toiletries, diapers, etc. Most weeks I go under (extra cash for date night!)

    • My total for the last 5 weeks was $750….I spent $250…got to love it :)
Would love to win the amazon card….would be great for Christmas!!!

    • Linda

FAmily of 8 and budget is $600…very proud of myself last night…at Publix I spent $12and got $75 worth of stuff….ALL thanks to you! You are a gem! Thanks!

    • Jayna

My weekly grocery budget is “as low as possible.”

But in reality it was about $90/week.

Now that I’ve been couponing, it’s down to around $35-$38/week!!

    • pharmSCgirl

This I would love to win since I haven’t bought any Christmas due to low finances.

I am also posting this on Facebook to increase my chances of winning.

      • pharmSCgirl

I posted on facebook! I love the avatar that I can use when posting the link.

I forgot to mention my monthly grocery budget. After being layed off from my job I haven’t had much to spend. I had to limit my budget to $100 and that includes eating out. When I found this great site a couple of weeks after that, I realized that it is possible to eat off of $100 a month. Thanks Jenny!

I wish I could delete my post below that I meant to put here as a reply. Sorry.

    • Melanie Ortiz

I budget $120 every two weeks, but that is for groceries, and all household items right down to dog food for a black lab and diapers for two kids. I usually save around 70% from using your site and with all the work you do, it is minimal effort on my part. Thanks so much and Merry Christmas! Posting this to Facebook…

    • Linda B

I don’t really have a budget. I do take the weekly grocery and drug store circulars and match the sale items to coupons. I save quite a bit this way. The cashiers are usually impressed with my final total. I’ve even had a few ask where I get coupons. Southern Savers has saved me so much especially at Food Lion.

    • Mika

My budget is $60 a week. I save an average of 50% per trip. Thanks, Jenny!

    • mary

Our budget for the week for a family of 5 adults is $40-$45.
      Thanks to southern savers…

    • Amy

Our budget for a family of 5 is 200/month! We are down to about 100 thanks to this awesome sight. On a side note, I have seen lots of people using yours lists in the grocery store. We seems to bond instantly after seeing the others list. :o)

      • Amy

I will post this to facebook!

    • Christie Toombs

Your site has saved my family so much money this past year. I really appreciate all that you do.

    • ginger

My budget is $500 but I come in between 300 and 350

    • Marceline

My monthly budget is $200 for a family of 2 people and 2 dogs. None of the grocery stores here double coupons, so it’s a bit harder to get the great deals. Last month, though, I made it a point to live off the stockpile as much as possible, and we were $66 under budget! I’m trying to do the same this month, but realize it probably won’t happen, with family coming in for two weeks.

    • Kelly Hall

I try to spend about $100 a week (or less!) for our family of five. This is just my second month doing couponing though so we don’t always make it.

    • Kelly

I don’t really have a budget, but I generally save between 60-75% each week. I usually go to both Publix and BiLo and almost always CVS, sometimes Walgreens and RiteAid.

    • Candi

My budget before couponing was about $600 a month. Now that my pantry is almost fully stocked, I spend more like $300 or less a month. Thanks so much!

    • Amy

Monthly budget is $700 for all groceries and household items. Anything left goes to family savings. Now that I have you I will have lots left. So far in Dec I have spent a total of $200 and fed company for a weekend and took food to the office Christmas party.

I am talking your site up on facebook!!

    • pharmSCgirl

I posted on facebook! I love the avatar that I can use when posting the link.

    • Amy

A few months ago we were spending over $1000/mo for food and toiletries for a family of 6, after really stockpiling the first month, we now average about $600 (including diapers) and we have loads of food! Thank you so much.

    • Jaimi

I have a $50 a week food budget, which is pretty easy to stay under for 2 people (with your help that is)!

    • Lindsay

Our grocery budget is $280/month. I would love to get that down even more but considering we were spending $400/month before I started couponing I am happy!!

    • tiffany

just shared on facebook…good luck to me.

    • Erin

With the help of Southern Savers, I now save at least $75.00 on groceries each week! Thanks so much!

    • DIANA

Our budget used to be $ 350 a month, within 3 months of couponing I cut it down to $ 200 and I look forward to cut it even further as I learn more tricks and ideas. I could have never done it without this site. Thank you so much! Merry Christmas!

    • Linette

Try to keep the monthly budget for our family of five at $300. Some months we do great and others, (like this one) not so great. So thankful for your site, wouldn’t do half as good without it!

    • Zonya

I spend about $100/month for our family of 3.

    • Cynthia

I have never been on a grocery budget, but we spend around $400/ month on groceries for a family of fice. With my big stockpile of food since couponing, my “buy price” has really come down, and your site makes shopping with coupons such fun!

    • Starting in January, my monthly grocery budget is going to be $200 and thanks to your site, I just might be able to achieve it! The amount of work that you put into this site is unbelievable and I know I’m one of many who is incredibly appreciative. Thanks!

      Updated info to facebook

    • Chandra

I don’t really have a grocery budget, but I do try to keep the weekly spending to no more than $35. On average I save about $50 dollars a week in coupons.

    • Crystal

My budget for a family of 3 is $200/month. We usually do not come anywhere near that though! All thanks to this site

    • Amanda

I am new to southernsavers started about a month ago and have save right around 500.00 in this amount of time. The other day I went to Publix’s and my bill was right @ 80.00 and when I was done it was $2.17. It shocked my husband. My little boy get’s excited about collecting coupons and cutting them out with me. Thanks Jenny for all you do!!!!!

    • Jamie

My monthly budget is $200 for our family of 4. My best savings was $102 at Kroger, and I only spent $37 or so.

    • Jamie

I love to leave comments on facebook about my big savings!

    • Kelly

    • ashton

My husband and I are enrolled in Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University – we’re paying off our debt so right now we’re on a “rice and beans budget”! My weekly grocery budget for me, my hubs, our cat, and our dog is $35(crazy-I know)! And we could not have made it without Southern Savers!

    • Danielle

Budget is about $500 a month for a family of 4 with a 3 & 1 year old. This also includes formula since 1 year old has a milk allergy. I am still learning about all the coupons and deals and working on cutting my budget down. Thanks!

    • Alisha

Before doing Southernsavers my budget for 2 was $80 a week. Just over the 3 weeks that I have been doing this I have averaged spending $25-30.00 a week. I know I will get better at this.
I made a comment about Southern Savers on facebook on my news feed.

Seriously, it is crazy that you have having us comment about this. Because my mom had me come into her work today and give a presentation to the people on her sales team. I left work early to let them know about how Southernsavers has changed mine and my husbands life. Then I went to the hair salon and told my hair styliest about this website. It just so happened they were having a Christmas party there and she was like, “y’all have to hear what she is telling me.” So, they all came in while my hair was processing and explained your website by showing them your site and one of the ladies phones. Pulled it up to show them and as you know, they were amazed, just like I am!
Merry Christmas and thank you for what you do! And thanks for the 8 days of give-aways!

    • Alicia

We’re trying to get a better budget in place with the baby on the way, so we just decided today to shoot for $50/week.

    • Jenny

I am so glad to have found you! I can’t even imagine how much money I wasted in the past. For groceries, including household and pet items, I budget $350 a month. After finding your site, I almost always have grocery money left to help pay utility bills, a big plus on a fixed budget! Saving money is addictive! I really hope I win the Grand Finale! I could really use this.

    • KAREN B

Used to spend about $100.00/wk but have it down to $60-70/wk. Thanks Jenny for all your hard to work!!

    • Sharon

I have saved over $426.00 this month. I only spent approximately $132. I just started doing this in November and I am amazed not to mention addicted to couponing!

      • Sharon

    • Janet

Spending about $600 per month, saving 2-3 times that much. We are slashing our budget come January because of all the savings, we can’t fit anymore food in our pantry!

    • Karen

    • Karen

Was spending about $100/wk now have it down to $60-70/wk for a family of 4 & that’s including cleaning supplies. Thanks Jenny for all your hard work!!!!!!

    • Susan

Wow, Jenny, before southern savers my budget was well over 200 every two weeks. Now I spend maybe 50 every week. I save the most on toothepaste, shampoo, floss, etc. That helps out a great deal. Thank you so much! Merry Christmas, it truly has been so much better this year, because I am able to get more for people!

    • Robin

Since finding this site I am spending only about 30 dollars a week on groceries compared to about 90 to 100 before. Also I have made gift bags for most of my family with all the freebies I have gotten. Mostly from CVS. This prize would be a God send for me. Merry Christmas.

    • Theresa

We spend about $600 a month on groceries.

    • Our monthly budget is $200. Since starting southern savers about 2 months ago, we’ve only been spending about $30 a week. LOVE SOUTHERN SAVERS!!! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!

    • Anne

I spend 300-400 per month on groceries, I just started with southern savers and I am practicing the only purchase if it is on sale now — I think I am saving at least 40% and I expect this is going to get better over time. I especially see the savings on things like shampoo, toothpaste etc. I am saving big because I am planning ahead This is really helping me to plan and think about my spending, which is spilling over into many areas of my spending. I am grateful for your site. Thanks

    • Teri C

We save at least 200 a month with your help!

    • Kathy

Our grocery and necessity budget was $400 a month or $100 a week. With your help, especially in the grocery dept. we are spending $240 a month or $60 a week. The last couple of months I have been trying to get us under $200 a month. Thanks for all your help! We are so grateful!

    • Anne

I posted on my facebook page as well. Thanks

    • Kathy

Shared about the giveaway on twitter!

    • amy

I try to stick to $100 or less per week, but it really just depends.

    • Tanya Y.

      Our budget is around 100 bucks a week….that includes the 6 of us…not too shabby I suppose=)

    • I am now spending about 400 a month and I was spending 800. I hope to cut it down to 300 in the next year! Thanks for all you do!

    • stellalunay2k

I average a 75% savings each week, doing grocery shopping only at Publix….working full time as a teacher doesn’t allow me to “store-hop” for the best deals, but I feel that Publix helps me counter this with terrific savings each time I shop! Here’s hoping I am one of your winners….

    • Kristi

I stick to under $100 a week, unless there is a good bargain, then I stock up.

    • Mandy T

You site has cut my grocery bill to a third of what it was and it couldn’t come at a better time! I found your site this past July, the week my husband had his hours and salary cut in half and which was only 2 weeks after giving birth to our second child. At that time we were spending $600 a month in groceries for the 4 of us. I now spend less than $200 a month and we have enough leftover to donate to Harvest Hope!!! You have made such a difference in our lives and I’m grateful to you for all the hard work that you do here. I’ve told everyone I know about you and your site and I’m constantly linking to your Facebook posts. You are an ANGEL!!! Bless you and your family this Christmas season.

    • Rachel Souliere

    • Hanna Demaree

I also shared on facebook. :)

    • Allie

I budget $400 for our family of 5, that includes eating out and entertaining friends AND all the pharmacies/walmart stops. I consider couponing my 2nd job to homemaker since I probably save at least 50% on every trip I take. Due in part largely to this site, I honestly have recruited every couponer I know to southernsavers, and ALL of them are as excited about it as I am. Keep it up, you’re serving thousands of people by compiling all the deals for us, for that, we’re grateful. Merry Christmas girl!!

    • RJ

Don’t really have a monthly grocery “budget.” Just know I am saving much money the last couple months since I started following your site. I find cutting coupons and keeping track of them and sales at each store to be a huge task and am struggling to keep up. Feel guilty when I have to shop without coupons or sale prep.

    • Laura Sharbaugh

      I spend about 60 a week.

    • Ginger

hot dog hot dog hot diggity dog! (doing the Goofy dance)

      Left a FB comment.

    • Laray

I am new to your site but I have been saving at least 50% from what I usually spent each month. I probably now spend $150 a month on groceries instead of $300 or $400. I have been so excited with how easy you make everything and I have been telling so many people about your web site. Thanks!

    • Suzanne

Monthly budget is $500 for our family of 8, including 2 in diapers (hopefully only one pretty soon!)

Love this site and end up with so much more in the pantry at the end of the week than before! Even if I’m not saving a whole lot yet my stockpile is growing. Thanks!

    • Karlie

I try to keep my monthly budget at $50/week, so a little over $200 a month (including diapers, etc.) Thanks for the chance!

    • Linda F

      I don’t have a budget but spend $75 – $100 per week

    • Kelly

Our budget is $40 a week. I have been couponing for almost 20 years now (since college). I really appreciate your site. Since I have toddlers now it helps cut down the time spent matching up the deals. THANKS!

    • Liz

Hi, my weekly budget is $180, I try no to expend everything but is hard even with all the savings I do with your site, I have 2 babies on formula and diapers so that takes care of most of my budget. thanks for all you do

I don’t have a budget, but I save at least 30% on most trips, sometimes more.

    • Kim

Our budget is about $500 a month. We do not eat out much and I try to cook fresh or fresh-frozen as much as possible, which adds up quickly! And my husband requires meat! :-) Thank you so much for your site, though, because it makes deal-finding fun and much like a game. I can’t wait to see how much we save each week and last week it was just about 50% (which is good for me)! So, thank you ever so much!!!

    • Adele

We spend between $30-$40 a week depending on whether the animals need food or litter. You have made it a lot easier to be a stay at home mom for my DD, by providing an invaluable service to us.

    • Karen D.

Wow, I can’t believe how little others spend. Makes me feel like a slacker. I have decreased my budget by 50% using your site, but obviously I could do more. I wish our Florida Publix would get on the ball with the double coupons, penny items, and such. I also wish we had so many other grocery stores. We only have a few Winn Dixies and Walmart. Most of the Albertsons have closed. None of the others are in our area.

    • My monthlly budget was about $175.00, but now I am averaging saving 65 – 56%. Wow does this really help out!!! Thanks SS. New Years resulution – SAVE EVEN MORE !!!
      Barbie

    • My budget was… well I didn’t really have one & was so unorganized for a long time but now I’ve got about a $75-100 monthly budget & usually save anywhere from 50-75%! Thanks for helping me save some dough!

    • I used to spend anywhere between $75-$100 a week at Walmart, for my family of 3. Now I shop at Publix & Bi-Lo and it’s usually under $50 a week. Thanks Jenny and Southern Savers.

    • Alissa

I started couponing in September. Before I started my grocery bill was between $120 to $150 a week. Now it is between $30 to $60 a week. Couponing has cut my grocery bill by at least $90 per week or $360 a month! Crazy! I couldn’t do it without southernsavers. Thanks Jenny!

    • Mary

      $60.00 for 2 of us.

    • Alissa

      I shared on facebook.

    • I shared my savings on Facebook! I hope I win!

My husband was so happy to see my savings. Went to Kroger the other day and the total % was 100%..Just paid tax. He tell everyone about my savings. Publix just opened down the road and I am so excite that I don’t have to go across town to shop. My buget has be reduced since I found your website. I have gotten my aunt to start couponing. We share in the coupon venture. She purchases sunday papers and cuts. I file and shop for our families. This helps her because she is disabled and it help save me some time cutting coupons. he helps her son some so I shop for 3 families. This is so fun. Would love to receive a gift card from this site.

Our monthly grocery budge is $400 but really includes anything that is not a bill. So, toiletries, dining out, extra stuff, etc.

    • I tweeted it! @hilarysurratt

    • Mary Katherine

Love saving money with coupons! We got our Publix in town about a year ago. Before it came, I went to …-Mart, didn’t use coupons, bought store brands a lot & thought I was doing the best I could for our family of 4 (2 teenagers). I consistently spent well over $100/week. Now that I’m using coupons & loving your website, I spend $50 or less on average/week. I have more groceries than ever in my pantry & freezer, which has also saved our budget for eating out, since lots of the groceries are quick, convenience foods. I feel guilty if we don’t come home & use these things instead of hitting the drive-through even on a ballgame night!

    • My budget is about $200 per month. I’m one person who eats out more than I should…

    • RoTel

Grocery Totals after coupons for a family of 4 is about $20…Thanks for the giveaway! Pick me please.

We could adjust it, but I love seeing how much extra I have each week. I love budgeting & I LOVE saving money. Oh and just ordered gift cards for super cheap ;) I always share my coupon excursions on facebook and am about to tell them about the gift cards now! Thanks so much.

    • Our budget is $160 monthly ours before coupons is generally $300 so we usually save 50% thanks to this site.

    • Emily

My budget a few months ago was $400 including diapers, toiletries, and all, but I still found myself spending closer to $500 a month. • Cathy

I have cut down my grocery bill significantly in the past few months. I was always a Frugal Wanna-be but never knew how to get started. Your site was the first I came across in my search to find a way to save money. I went from using no coupons to using almost ALL coupons. I keep under $50 a week now for food (sometimes less) whereas prior to learning to be frugal, I was spending many (Many) times more than that. Thanks for your help.

    • Stacie

      just shared on facebook!

    • Angela

Our budget for a family of 4 is usually around $300 but we can average around $200 when they are really good sales. Especially when the grocery stores has their triple coupon sales!!! I LOVE coupons and sales!!!

    • Eliza

Our weekly food budget is $30 for our family of four, so $120 a month. And the only way we can make that happen is because of the fabulousness that is Southern Savors… so THANK YOU!!

    • Pam

I have been following this site (a true Godsend!) for 4 weeks now, and have saved over 400$ already – and I am sure to get much better as I learn. It is truly needed, as we have some unexpected expenses and no increase in income to take care of it (on an already tight budget.) Thank you and God bless!

    • Jackie

Our monthly budget is $250 for all groceries (including my Walgreen’s and CVs trips) AND diapers for several kids. I am usually under $200 for all for the month, especially now that we’ve stockpiled quite a bit since September. My average percentage savings is about 78%. On a bad trip I’ll save about 60%, but for the majority of the time, I aim for about 85% savings or better and I’m pretty strict about it… my local Publix allows overage so I flip that overage into “coupons” for other items so I don’t pay regular price…

It’s worked out so well that a lot of facebook friends and family are asking me to teach classes on how to do it…

I really hope I win one of these, cause I would love, love , love to get a new double stroller for my babies, or a little flip camera so I can record all those firsts… the crawling, standing, walking, talking milestones…

Oh, and I already posted on fb about the 8 days of giveaways right before I submitted this entry.

    • I usually spend around $50-$60 a week for a family of 4!

    • I posted on facebook!

    • Sadly, I really don’t have a monthly grocery budget. I usually spend around $150 to $175 per week on groceries.

But I just saw in the new issue of Real Simple magazine a tip on getting your groceries under budget that I think I’ll try… at the beginning of the month, put an envelope on your fride. Every time you buy groceries, put the receipt in the envelope. Then at the end of the month, go over the receipts to see where you can cut costs.

    • bunnyb

Our monthly budget is about $300. I hope to save more though!

    • bunnyb
    • My monthly budget for 2 is $60. I think I could do better if I drove and could get to the stores more easily :)

Thanks to your site for keeping us so well-fed!

    • Trisha

Our monthly budget is $200/month for a family of 5.

      Thanks, Jenny.

I can’t believe that 8 days have gone by so quickly!

You probably know by now that I don’t have an actual budget for groceries. We’ve always spent well below average for the number of people in the household. My monthly cash just has to spread to cover whatever comes up. Dh used to do a good share of the shopping and spending. Now, he does very little of it, and my own cash allowance has been reduced. So, HE’S saved a few thousand in groceries this year, and I have fewer dollars of wiggle room because my less controllable expenses take a larger percentage of my cash. LOL

As a total family budget, though, we now spend less than half what we once did on food, health and beauty, diapers, cleaning, and pet supplies – and we have more abundance to share. There have been only a few weeks since the end of March, when I began Calculated Shopping, that I’ve spent over $100 on the categories you cover, for between 8 and 12 people.

Although I haven’t been able to feel the savings as extra spending money, it’s meant other things that are more important – We’ve so far been able to meet several very large bills that came up, both expected and unexpected, and I have the stockpile and skills to succeed in getting through this holiday period at my goal of spending $25 or less per week for the time being.

    • Rachel S.

We spend around $250 for 3 of us. I save over 50% on every grocery bill. Your site takes away so much frustration trying to price match on my own, thanks for all your hard work!

    • Cheryl

My monthly grocery budget is about $150 for 5 people. Now, that doesn’t sound like a lot, but with the savings I learned on here it goes pretty far. I can’t even imagine the $675 budget I use to have and it seemed as if we didn’t ever have enough. Thanks for sharing your gift of savings and for the chance to enter my name in your giveaway.

    • Janet

We spend around $200.00 a month. Before this site probably $400-$500. Thanks so much for all you do Jenny. Merry Christmas!!!

    • ikkinlala

We don’t really have a monthly grocery budget – it varies dramatically depending on the time of year, because we have a big garden. We do try to keep it under $400 or so, and it’s very unusual not to succeed at that.

    • Molly

We spend around $250 a month but it’s just 2 people. Just started saving and doing the coupon thing recently.

    • Lindy

Love your blog! I don’t have a budget really, I try to save 1/2 of my grocery bill by using my q’s!

    • April

I spend around $600.00 per month. That is with a lot of coupons. I do not have much time these days to get organized so when I go to the store it is harder to keep on track.Thank you so much for this site. It has helped me out so much and continues to do so. You should win an award! THX :-)

    • Allison

I do more of a monthly budget, because some weeks I go to 3 stores to get great deals, and other weeks it’s just a quick trip for milk and produce. I average about $300 a month, including diapers.

    • Dianne

Thanks to Publix & Southern Savers, we spend an average of $45/week on groceries & have more on hand than ever. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Merry Christmas & a happy, bargain-filled 2010 to everyone!

    • Jessica

Into couponing with your site for several months now Jenny, before I used to spend about $300-$400 a month for a family of 4 adults just on food purchases alone. By boyfriend would go to BJ’s to get Toilet Paper, Paper Towles, Zip Lock Bags, Trash Bags and laundry soap. I now buy all of this for approximately $300 a month which also includes all the free or next to free medicines, shampoos, deodorants etc. I am sure I will make it to $200-$250 total a month because the $300 also included the 3 bags each of misc goodies I am giving to my 2 sons and their family as x-mas gifts. Thank you again, again and again, you truly have been an angel in my life :)

    • Ruth

This month I have saved over $200 between Publix and CVS (about $55 oop)!! I asked family for gift cards to both, and I’d love a gift card to Amazon. Thank you Jenny for keeping that extra money in our pockets when we need it most!

    • Jennifer Elrod

I usually spend around $150 a month for a family of 4,including formula and diapers! I usually save about $300 a month with coupons. I have already saved $350 with coupons on Christmas gifts!

    • Mary Lynn

I am loving going into a store and spending less than I save. My budget is about 200-300 a month. Publix is my favorite. I used to go to fix something for dinner only to find I didn’t have what I needed. Not having that problem anymore with stocking up. I have 2 teenage daughters that are now getting “coupon crazy” as they like to put it! I saved lots on my Christmas gifts by using coupons too! Thanks so much for sharing with us! :)

    • Mary Lynn

Wrote on my facebook wall too!

    • kelly longley

I save at least $300-$400/month in groceries using coupons!! It is a wonderful feeling and my husband is very happy with these savings.!

    • Amy

I spend about $350-$400 a month that includes food, toiletries and diapers. Last month I only spend $250!! We have 5 people in my family. I use to spend about $800 a month. I would never go back to spending without couponing the right way. My husband is a school teacher and I a stay at home mom. So we are on a TIGHT budget. Would love this gift card!! We have a birthday girl in Jan. and a birthday boy in March:)

    • Kim Latham

don’t know the budget amount, but i just started couponing about 2 months ago, and the difference has been dramatic!! I plan to keep up with our spending starting in Jan. so i can know for sure how we’re doing.
      Thanks,
      Kim

    • Michelle Fincher

I would love to win an Amazon gift card! I have to say that I did not know that there was savings like this out there. Thank you so much for this website and all that you do for everyone. I could never be saving money like this without your help!

    • Nina

I started couponing a little over a year ago and my monthly food budget before was $600 a month, now I spend about $300.00–and have way more food! Merry Christmas Jenny!

    • penni

My monthly budget is about $400 a month but it drops dramatically when I take the time to clip the coupons and check SS weekly!! Thanks!!!

    • Annie

I would love to win! I also need to start putting my family on a tighter grocery budget. Before couponing I was pending about $130 a week at Wal-mart and now I am spending about $70 a week at Publix! SO maybe a monthly budget of $280-$300 for a family of 4 isn’t so bad. I’m just determined to make it better!

    • Leigh Anne

$70/week is our weekly budget, ususally it is less than that!

    • Laurie C

Well, our old budget (pre-Southern Savers) was $100 a week – and we hardly ever made it. Now I would say I don’t spend more than $75 a week, unless I have to get diapers.

    • Laurie C

Just posted about the contest on my Facebook status.

    • Katherine

Just learning how to save and be a better shopper

    • LaDora

Our typical monthly grocery budget is about $250 – $300 a month for a family of 6, plus 2 (well, 8 including the puppies) dogs. Our typical savings is between 50 – 75% with the use of coupons and sales.

    • Amy – Brentwood, TN

I have been spending less than $10/week after coupons…I am single and after stock piling, I barely need to buy groceries, I just get the really good deals! I used to go to Publix, buy what I want, get 2 bags for $60 every 10 days or so and barely had any food in the cupboards! Love this site!!

    • Before I started couponing 3 months ago, my monthly grocery/household supply budget was $600 for 3 people -including a toddler in diapers. Eeeek! So far this month, I’ve only spent $160, and we’re already at the 19th.

    • sandy

We didn’t have a budget until Oct., but now we budget 150 to 175 monthly for a family of 4, with a baby 5 months.

      • Kristen

        Posted about this on Facebook!

    • Abby

My budget is flexible but I try to keep it around $200 a month.

    • Barb Crispens

Our typical monthly grocery budget is about $150-$200 for a family of 3 + a dog. I’m trying to do better, though!

    • Renee

Our budget is simple… whatever is left after paying bills. :S

This site has allowed us to have so much that we normally just do without, and my family loves me and you for it. Thank you!

    • Christy

I am spending a little less than before, but would love to reduce the spending and increase the saving. Great tools, Jenny!

    • you’re the best!!!

    • Melissa

Our budget used to be about $400 a month (!) but since I started serious couponing 3-4 months ago I am curious to sit down after the Xmas rush and look at how much that has changed!

    • robyn

I am new to couponing but can save $25ish on a good day…my budget is approximately $300. What I struggle with is buying more than I need for it being “just me” …. I’m hooked after just really getting into the coupon thing and going to a store without a coupon….it makes me feel guilty!!!

    • Rena

with my family of 4 I shoot for a $50 a week total spending on groceries. I so can’t seem to buy anything anymore without the use of a coupon. I know you all know what I’m talking about!

    • Corrie

This is what we’re getting my bro for Christmas! He works with street kids in the middle east and uses Amazon a lot. What a blessing it would be to win this one!!
My hubby and I budget $50/week for food…it’s just the two of us, but we have a lot of guests & young people that come thro’ here. I did all the “Southern Saver” stuff on my own before; it was a huge help to find this site.

    • Tanya

Thank you for all you do!!!!! I just posted on facebook my savings for the past month, I shocked myself…lol!! I spent nearly $127 and saved $401, I can not express what this has meant for my family!I would love to be able to give this gift to my mom! She has recently had a very hard time financially and it has been a very hard season for her. I would love to make her Christmas!!

    • Emily

My grocery savings so far this year has been $5429.74 or $108.58 per week! Total spent is $4344.75 or $86.90 per week. So happy and proud of us, since we now have a nice stockpile of food and other groceries, and are able to give extra things to people in need.

    • tonya

I try to spend around $50/week for a family of 4, and I can normally do it thanks to this site.

    • tonya

I try to spend around $50/week for a family of 4, and I can normally do it thanks to this site.

    • My grocery budget is $25/month–only for 2 adults tough. Monthly savings depend on how many deals there are. The month of December has been wonderful at Publix (with the $10 off of $40 from Bloom) so I have saved around $700 this month. All thanks to you Jenny!

    • jessica

im new to the site so WILL be saving lots.

    • Debbie

I have not gotten good enough to have a set budget yet. But I am getting better. I spend on average about $400 per month on groceries. I usually save the most at Publix. On average I spend around $150 each time before coupons and it ends up being about $50 or $60 after coupons.

    • Valerie Parker

We budget $600 a month but always come in under that thanks to you.

    • Debbie

Just posted my budget/savings information to my facebook page. Love Southernsavers

    • Emily

For our family of three, I’d guesstimate I spend about 120 on groceries a month. It seems sometimes I spend hardly any at all though and probably save just as much as I spend. I love it.

    • Nicole Nessel

My budget for groceries and diapers, toiletries, paper products… is $165.00 per week. This sounds high but there are eight of us in the family. This also includes nutritional supplements I buy at Walgreens or CVS. This being said, a typical grocery trip for me at Bi-Lo is about $75.00 per week and I save 50-75% on my bill thanks to you. That means I really spend about $350 per month. I’m very happy with that given the size of my family! I have told so many people about you when I’m shopping. I was actually in Wal-mart the other day and the cashier told me about your sight, it was great! I usually have my printed list which has your web address at the top, I can tear it off and give it to them! Thanks!!!!!!!

    • shana

I try to keep it to $60 a week but lately it’s been a little more than that with Christmas baking/snack foods for parties, etc. Thanks for your great website!

    • Rhonda

I haven’t really set my grocery budget yet and I am also new to the coupon world. I am however saving at least a third and sometimes half of what I use to spend. We are already seeing a big difference. People tell me after I build up a stock pile that I will then see more savings. I must say THANK YOU for all that you do. This site is wonderful and you are AWESOME! I have recommended it to my friends and also people I meet in the store. Wishing you and yours a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

    • Ryann

My grocery budget per month is $150 for a family of 5. We do get a 1/4 of a cow from my husband’s parents each year to save on the cost of meat. Thanks for this site!

    • Ryann

      on facebook!

    • Stephanie

I don’t really have a budget but I usually spend less than $150 a month for a family of 4. Oh how I love this site!

    • Amber

Usually spend about $100/month. This site usually gets to a point of saving us at least 50% a week. Thanks!

    • Julie

My husband does all the cooking, so we get the list together and I get all the coupons and we are saving more than half! At Publix, our total bill was $112 before coupons and we walked out paying $46! He was getting nervous when he saw the total and when we walked to the car he had to call his Mom to tell her what I just did! Just buying what we have on the list has helped.
Our budget before SS was about $400 month and now about $200-250.
      Thank you Southern Savers!

    • Erin Stanford

      Awesome giveaway!

    • Janelle

I used to spend about $375/month, but now with your site match-ups and all the coupons, I am below my monthly budget of $225. Thanks Jenny and SouthernSavers! In fact, at my Publix run this week, I spent only $23 when my bill rang up $83–72% savings, and we have more food than ever to share with others.

    • Heidi

Our weekly budget is $50, so that adds up to $200-$250 per month depending on the month. I would love to win this! I would probably buy some diapers, then set the rest aside for gifts throughout 2010!

    • Belinda

I really don’t have a budget yet but going to try to get one. I usually spend about $150 every two weeks. As soon as I get a printer I’m going to stay faithful on this site and start saving.

      Going to post on facebook.

    • Since we have been couponing, we save about @150 a month on our grocery bill. Share info on face book.

    • Donella

After I finish my shopping and I’m sitting in my car in the parking lot looking at my receipt, I love to see that I’ve saved at least 50% on my bill. Sometimes it’s much higher, but the 50%-60% off range is typical for me.

    • Wow, with 4 kids my monthly spending at the grocery store is around $700-$800, but since I have just started couponing, I am expecting that to be cut drastically the more I coupon!

    • Hilda

We are a family of 3, and we have cut out grocery bills in half (or more). My weekly budget is 50.00, but I am still new, so sometimes go over, but it`s sometimes much less. So I guess in the end, our savings total about 300 a month. THANKS Jenny!!!!! (left comment on FB)

    • Nicole Johnson

I have just really started using coupons more often, and I am really enjoying this site. I normally spend around 400.00 a month on groceries, and save about 50. But, I think if I tried a little harder, I could save more.

    • Angela P

I have NOT been very good at tracking my savings/budget. I DO know that I have been saving A LOT! I spend now on 2 carts full of food what I used to spend on a couple of bags! Thanks so much! Next year I am definitely tracking weekly!

      MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

    • We spend around $300 per month for just two of us. I love to cook, so it’s been hard to stick to things that are on sale when we really love fresh vegetables, but I’ve started saving A LOT by using coupons and your tips. Thank you!

    • Nicole Johnson

I posted a link to this website on my fb page so that all of my friends could enjoy this amazing site. Thanks for all you do!

    • Charlotte

A few months ago, I was spending about $150-200 a week at Walmart.. now I do my grocery shopping at Publix and other deals at Walgreens/CVS… and have decreased it by $50 or more each week so far (only been a couponer for 3 months)…. am getting better and saving more each week!

    • Angela P

Just posted on Facebook!!! Oh I hope I win this one!

    • gail lucero

Since using your site, I slashed my grocery budget in half. It’s now $200/month. Thank You!!!!

    • John C

I would love to win this.

    • Christine

My budget is $100/week for groceries, paper products, and personal items for a family of 3.

    • sarah h

    • Halie

We are a family of two, my husband and I , and we just started couponing back in the spring, after we discovered your site and kept hearing more about couponing.
Since we found your site, we have gone from spending about $300 a month, and saving only $80, to spending $300 but saving $300, during the first month we started couponing.
We really appreciate all you do to help us save money!

    • posted & raved about the website on facebook! Thanks!

    • Nori

My grocery budget is about $200 a month and since I have started saving by using coupons and deals that posted here (thanks to Sounthernsavers.com!), I can make it happen easily!

    • Jennifer

Don’t really have a set budget;but end up spending around $400/month and have WAY more stuff than we used to get for the same amount. Usually save at least 50% off the bill and haven’t had to buy toiletries in MONTHS since I started doing this last January.

Thank you so much for this site-it’s the one place where I can find everything I need!

    • Jessica

I spend about $200 per month for groceries, for two adults and two kids. My shopping trips probably average a little over 50% savings.

    • Please Pick me — I love Amazon and SS

    • Stephanie

I give thanks to the Lord for the knowledge of couponing! especially during a tight season. My budget now for groceries is between $100-150 a month. 60% savings!

    • This was my second time trying this system. I went to Walgreens Thursday and spent aroung $75 but only ended up paying about $35 and I got $9 back in register rewards. I love this system!

      • I posted this on FB. Also, we usually spend about $175 a week on groceries. My New Year’s resolution is to cut this by 40%. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!!

    • Jaclyn

      love amazon!

    • Karen

We spend $30 a week for a family of three, plus three cats..

    • Stephanie

I shared about this event on facebook. :)

    • My budget used to be about $300-400.. but now it is less than $20O!!

    • Teresa

I started couponing last April. We went from spending $100-120 at Walmart each week with no coupons, to now spending between $30-40 a week for a family of four! Yours is one of the sites that I owe a large amount of thanks to for this!

    • My monthly budget is $400, and that includes groceries, household cleaning, beer (we only buy that once or twice a month), diapers, and pet food. We do well staying within that unless we need a propane tank for the grill and sometimes I can buy that and still stay on budget.

I used to spend twice this before Southern Savers!

    • Michaelene

Oooohh! This would be a fun one to win! :)
Jenny, again thanks for all the help saving our family money! Merry Christmas!

    • Megan

We budget $500 per month but I usually spend less than that.

    • Megan

      I shared this on facebook.

    • Gini

Our budget is normally $100 per week, but for the last 6 months, we’ve only been spending around $60 of that….Things are tight though, and because of the overwhelming stock-up that my kitchen has experienced due to couponing, we’ve not even been to the grocery store in 2 weeks!! Budget – $0 (for now)

    • megan

i spend about 60-70 week on grocerys and save about 40-60 wk! I wouldnt be able to save all that if it wasnt for this wonderful site!! I Am going now to post on my facebook how wonderful southernsavers is!! thanks for the chance of winning!!! Merry Christmas. oh and my shopping is for four(including a 10 month old)

    • Our budget is $350 month. It has stayed the same even with a 19 year old an 22 year old moving back home. I have not added up the savings per month yet, but have been spending about 50-60 a trip and saving 40-50 (our publix does not double coupons :( )

    • Katie

Wow. My budget is $100/wk for our family of 4 and after reading loads of these posts, I have LOTS more to learn!!! I usually come in under budget but am left with so many questions…

    • Tommie

I don’t really have a weekly budget but I’ve saved a LOT withyour help!

    • Genean

      I love it, I love it, I love it ….. oh I forgot to tell what it is I love ….. THIS SITE ! ! ! ! !

    • carmen

My mom stayed at my house for two weeks before and during THanksgiving. My dad was out of town. She bought all the groceries for Thanksgiving so I took her shopping. She was AMAZED at how much we saved when we went to Publix, twice I think. The first time she spent $145 and saved $75. The second time she spent around $100 and saved $65. Those are just rough estimates, but she was definately impressed. Especially since these were necessary things and not just deals and between the sales and coupon she really saved alot. Needless to say, my dad was happy about it.

    • Anna Paddock

My husband hit up 3 grocery stores last week and got $147 for $12.88!! whoop whoop!

    • Heather

I save 50% minimum ever week using your site. My budget is $300 for a family of three and I always have lots of food in the house now!

our budget is $200/month. We have been saving $25/week through tips on SouthernSaver! Thank you!

    • Kristi

My monthly grocery budget is $300 per month. I save roughly 50% every month!

    • Kimberly

My monthly grocery budget is $225 for our family of 4. (That doesn’t include diapers, shampoo, etc.)

I try to save at least 30% when I shop, but with 2 kiddos 2 and under, it’s hard sometimes!

    • betsy

our monthly budget is about $400/month, but i usually only spend $75-$80/week.

    • TinaM

During the month of August I found out about your site. I have been able to cut my budget for food, etc by 50% so far. Sometimes are better than others but all in all your site has saved us lots!! We are looking forward to another year filled with savings-Thanks so much!!

    • Kristen

Just getting into couponing… right now we spend about $150/month – hopefully that will go down!

    • We’ve been getting more into whole and raw foods, so our budegt has grown a bit more towards the $200-300/month region. It used to bother me because we were from the $20-30/week camp, but it’s worth it for the foods we get!

    • Lindsay

Before couponing, I was spending about $120/week, but my goal now is to cut that by about 50%.

    • Christina

My budget for 2 weeks is $75. I do pretty good for only 2 people..the challenge will be when kids come along.

    • Farah

I’ve been spending about $30 a week and saving about $80. Before coupons I used to spend well over $100 per week. I love coupons!

    • LuAnn

My monthly grocery budget is $600. We don’t eat out at all and I never ever ever stop to pick up things that I don’t already have. All four of us take our lunches everyday and I think we do a great job at the grocery. Thanks to Southern Savers I always save at least $100 a week on groceries and often more. I have a full pantry all the time and my goal of never running out of things so that I have to pay full price at the last minute has been met for about a year. I feel like I have a whole new way of life. My daughter’s on facebook telling everyone about Southern Savers and Day 8 now. Thanks Jenny!

    • Kathy

Up until the last three months, I would wind up with a few groceries left at the end of our pay period before attending one of your classes. We have recently attended Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University and between these two classes, I’m actually able to purchase the groceries that we need and share with others in need. I’m still not where I want to be, but that is what the future is for our grocery budget has now incresed to around 500 a month. I had been praying for a small freezer and one Sunday when I was at a local convinent store buying my paper, I saw a man with a freezer on the back of his truck. I walked over to him and asked him about the freezer and wound up being able to buy it for fifty dollars; it works like it is new and was headed to storage. God has a way of meeting our needs if we will just trust and be open to all of his provisions and using the wisdom he gives us along the way. I’d love to win the gift card to not only help my family, but someone else this holiday season. Kathy

    • Lana

Our grocery budget is $250 a month. I have cut it in half this year as it used to be $500.

    • Jenn Mc

Budget ~$50/family of 3. Savings guessing $150ish per month

    • Heather J

Our monthly budget for our family of 4 is $280 – and that includes toiletries and our wine habit (thank goodness for Trader Joe’s $3 buck chuck!). We’re often well below that – much credit to you for your wonderful ‘make a shopping list’ feature for Publix & Kroger!!!! Blessings this holiday season!

    • Elise

We’ve tried to set a budget, but with two little ones we haven’t been great about keeping up with it. Your site helps us so much to save every time we go. We’re not within our budget, but it meight be because the first one we wrote isn’t realistic. New year’s goals!

    • jacie

Our weekly budget used to be $100 for a family of four. Thanks to your site, it’s more like $40-60 now. We’ve been living on one income for the last 6 months, and your site has helped us sooo much! Thank you for all you do!

    • ginger

what a great finale. We have a $200/month budget and I go under a lot of months with your help.

    • Laura Sloan

I don’t really have a set budget for groceries, but I know I’m saving more money since I started checking this site for deals and coupons. I think I generally spend about $60/week. That’s for 2 people and includes toiletries, cat food and the snacks I take to work for my employees.

    • Risa

We don’t have a budget, although WE SHOULD!@ But since discovering SS, I save SO MUCH (when I have the time to do it!) I love couponing, and getting the deals, thank you for your amazing help!

    • Robin

My weekly shopping trips have gone from $125 a week to between $60-80 a week. Thanks!

    • Susan

I routinely save 70% on my grocery, personal care, household and pet items. Last month I spent $300 for $1100 worth of product. This includes a lot of items I donate to the local homeless shelters and food banks.

    • Marjorie

Our monthly grocery budget for a family of 4 (3 adults and 1 dog :)) is $300.00. Save a bunch with coupons and careful planning.

    • jenni Evans

My grocery budget was $200 per week…that is for EVERYTHING I buy to keep this house going…dog food included. Now it is about $75 to $100. Love that!

    • This site helps me to save 40% or more each time I go to the grocery! THanks for the chance!

    • LC

I have no idea what we save on food. I’m really about the food budget :(

    • Renee

I have been a couponer for about 15 yrs however now that you’ve shown me the craft of it; I now save an average of 55% on my groceries. I’m totally addicted to saving and absolutely love your website and I can’t count the number of people I have recommended to your site. Thank you for helping me make couponing easier and convenient.
      Merry Christams!

    • Stephanie

I usually spent about 150 a week for a family of four. But now it is down to under 100 and I started a couple of weeks ago. Thank you southern savers!!

    • Alissa

My goal for savings every month is to save 66% at LEAST. Some months are better than others. December tends to be one of the not so good months. :)

Hello! I tried to leave a post and didn’t see it posted, so I’ll try again. I attended one of your workshops about three months ago and have recently finished Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. It has made such a difference in how I shop and how we live. Before using the principals I’ve learned, by the end of each pay period the pantry was almost empty. Now I’m working on stocking my pantry and even able to give to those in need. i would love to win the gift card to not only help my family, but to share with others this holiday season. Kathy

    • My grocery budget for our family of four, including diapers for two kids, is $200 a month. That’s down from about 9 months ago, when it was $250/month for food ONLY. Diapers, toiletries, and all household items were budgeted separately. My average savings at the grocery store is 60% and at the drugstores about 95%.

    • Our monthly grocery budget includes all of our household and cleaning supplies also, but it usually is about 600 a month (or 150 a week) for everything we need to run the house. I know our budget is higher than some, but I make sure that it covers all our household expenses other than electric and water. Finding the SouthernSavers site has REALLY helped me (and my family) SAVE. I can’t wait to see how low we can cut our expenses in the coming year! Thanks for all your great sale finds and coupon deals!!

    • Missy

Our budget is around $600 per month for a family of 5 (one child is allergic to wheat, eggs and nuts) so we have to buy many gluten-free/egg-free things that cost more. We’d love to win an Amazon gift card. I’m sharing on facebook!

    • Pamela

I am just straving to death. Sometimes my family can’t buy groceries some weeks I look that the ads. Then I go to http://www.southernsavers.com to see iif I can get coupons for groceries at PUBLIX for free. Please me to buy groceries for Christmas Dinner. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Missy

I just posted on facebook! :)

    • Arminda

I’m giving it another shot… I’m trying lol.

    • Anu

Monthly budget is around 250 a month, and that includes two kids under 3, so diapers, and formulas, etc is all included.
Thanks for the giveaway, and happy holidays.

    • carol

Wow! Do I ever need this! Hubby just told me this morning that we are buying for each other (after we had agreed not to!!!) All he asks for are lots of books!)

    • I don’t really have a monthly budget but just try to save every chance I can. Now I have REALLY learned how to save BIG with this site. My last trip to Walgreens gave me $70 worth of products for $15 and Yesterday’s trip to Publix was AWESOME! I spent $115 and saved $187. Since I have only been couponing for one month, I think that’s pretty good! Thank you for this site!

    • Sandi

We allow about $250/month, but never actually spend that much thanks to Southern Savers!

    • Joy B

I haven’t kept up with my savings this year but I saved over 50% at BiLo this morning – and that seems to be the norm now, thanks to all the help I’ve been getting from your website! Thank you so much for all the work you do, it is a marvelous help to folks like me. Merry Christmas!

    • I spend about $100/week in groceries, I use some coupons but also buy a lot of organics, so they are more expensive (though I do coupon them a lot too!!)

    • Terri

Still learning! My budget is $100 a week, but that includes personal items, CVSing, Wags, Rite Aid, groceries, diapers, etc. We don’t have a separate budget for just grocery/food items. Hoping to be lucky on the last day of giveaways!

    • Deanna

Our budget is $100 a week but we come in below this!

    • Deanna

Our budget is $100 a week but we come in below this!

    • Amy

I budget $400 per month for a family of 4 including formula, diapers, all household cleaning stuff and pet food 5 dogs and 2 cats. Thanks to southern savers, I know about the bargains and have learned to stock up when the prices are nearly free. I typically spend about $50-$75/week to cover all eleven of us and have enough food put back for a rainy day. The best part is watching my 4 year old learn the value of a dollar. She often asks for something extra in the grocery store and then tells me we can’t get it this time because it is not on my list! Thanks Jenny!

    • Elena

my budget is usually $50 a week, but sometimes spend less and sometimes more. Thia is a great giveaway!!!

    • Karina

      ours is $50 a month

    • Ashley

100 per week, only spend about 50

    • Jose

We are a large family so our budget is $100, but we don’t even spend that much some of the time.

    • Our budget used to be $800 a month before coupons, now its about $200 thats 7 people home EVERY meal!!

    • Grace

My spending is still pretty high, but I just started and am perfecting my strategy – thank you!

    • Christine

Am I too late? Thanks for all the great giveaways and deals! This was my first couponing site and will always be in my faves! Happy Holidays!

    • Heather Liafsha

I just looked at your yearly totals! Oh my! What an inspiration to really be diligent with this! As a single mom of twins…it really adds up. I have now set a goal for this! Maybe new countertops next year with my savings! Thanks so much!

    • mendy

My weekly grocery budget has been $100. I’ve been doing much better than that and thinking of lowering the budget for the new year! I would love to win the amazon shopping cards!

    • TanyaW

I try to stick with $20 each week for ALL stores. Publix shopping is priority, and what I have left goes towards Target, CVS, Walgreens, etc. I am fortunate that my Publix allows overage, so I generally spend well under $10 a week there, for anywhere betweent $200 and $500 worth of items. Though half of those are overage items only (like Revlon nail files, Benevia drinks, etc) and go in my yard sale bin.

    • Christy

My bill was $219.35 and my ending cost after coupons was .09. Best shopping trip ever.

    • Laila

My monthly grocery budget for two adults is $250 to $300 per month.

    • Brooke

I don’t really have a weekly budget that I try to stick to…anytime I try to give myself one there are awesome deals that I can’t resist and I end up going over budget anyway….

    • Allison

Since using your site, I’m saving between 3-400 a month on our grocery/personal care items! I spend about $400 a month. Thanks so much!!

    • Beverly Cannon

Wow, that would be a blessing to win.

My monthly food budget is $200.00.

    • Isabel

Our budget is $40 per week for a family of four I try to stick to less that that so that way i have money left for any good deal at CVS, rite-aid, etc.

I spend $18 last week at Bi-Lo and we use the rest of the money to buy some ice cream an all the amenities and make sundaes LOL, we go against the weather but the Breyers Ice Cream was on sale so we splurge a little on cherries and walnuts, wafle cups etc.

      Thanks Jenny and Feliz Navidad

    • Jason

Most weeks I spend less than $40 on groceries thanks to this site. Thanks for all you do as i save more then $400 per month.

    • Jason

I have shared this with my friends on Twitter.

    • $300 a month!

    • Michael

My wife and I (family of 2) used to have a grocery budget of $100/wk, which we would usually go over. Now it is $50/wk and we usually don’t even spend that!

    • Rebekah

Our monthly grocery budget is about $200 (for a family of 4) and we save about 40-50% by using sales and coupons. It’s awesome! The grocery budget hasnt changed, but we now get more awesome stuff for our money. Thanks!

      • Rebekah

just put a message to my peeps on facebook with a southersavers thumbnail! They love to hear about the savings.

For just myself and my husband, our budget is $60/week, but thanks to your site we are always below that! Thanks for helping us be smart with our money!!!

    • Kendra

We are a family if 8 and I have an in home childcare buisiness. We spend about $400 a month. Prior to the coupons I spent about $750 a month. I know I can do better, and I am learning. I am very very new to this and am catching on quick! I had my first $60 bill at Pulix that with my coupons went to a $-7 total. I had to go pick up a few more items to walk out the store!!! That was a fun day!

      Kendra Hansen

    • adriana

We budget around $200 a month, it used to be $400 so we are def. saving a TON!! Such a blessing! Thanks for all you do :)

    • jessica

for 3 in our family (with one one on the way) our weekly is 35$ all organic meat and dairy:)
We save about 100.00$ a week
      THANKS TOOOO YOU!:)

    • Meadow

I have been trying to keep it to $50 a week for groceries and about $40 a month at CVS. With that CVS money I have gotten all the diapers we need, paper products, toiletries and a few christmas presents. thanks so much for making this work for me.

    • April

Our monthly grocery budget is $200/month for 3 of us. It usually is plenty for us, but some months we don’t quite make it under that!

    • Nicole

We are a family of 5. I am still working on what is a good amount to spend. Still learning how to buy smart!

    • Jennifer

I love your site! The Amazon gift card certainly would help with diapers, etc. I love getting your email feed! Thanks for everything!

    • Melody Carpenter

My grocery budget is pretty high right now – $150/week. But I used that budget to buy all my Christmas presents as well as my groceries! I’m going to be going over my budget again soon and fixing it!

    • Nancy L.

I spend about $400/mo. on groceries for a family of four. I save probably $80.00/month using coupons. Walgreens, Rite Aid, and CVS savings help my grocery bills too!!
      Thanks for all you do.
      Happy Holidays!

    • Laura

Our budget is around $200 a month. I have food allergys so I can’t eat “normal” items and have to spend more at a speciality store.

    • Amy

Love your site. Shooting for a budget of $50/week for family of 5, but currently spend $75-100. Thanks for all you do!

    • MS

We dont have a budget but we save around 30% to 50% on our grocery bill.

    • Kelly

Our budget is about $200 a month. I save way more than that thanks to Southern Savers!

    • Jen

I would estimate my budget around $75-100 a week lately (for two adults and a 16 month old), and I am a new couponer so I am still stockpiling lots. I am definitely saving at LEAST 60%, if not more, on every trip to the grocery store or drugstore. The way I shop has changed completely. I am amazed at the wealth of information you provide here and putting quality gifts under the tree has been possible because of the great savings I have scored over the past month. THANK YOU SOUTHERN SAVERS!!

    • Nancy L.

I tweeted (apple7555) and I’m following you on Twitter!
      Thanks!

I am a newbie…I am just learning to coupon and your website is SUCH a HUGE BLESSING!!!!! My husband is so excited about our savings. WE are a family of 5. With your help I save about $400 a month on my groceries. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!! Have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

    • Kevin

Savings are about $150 per month. Thanks for the great website

    • Kara

I probably should, but I don’t have a grocery budget!

    • Dream

We are a family of 2, and our monthly savings is about $150!

    • Renee

I don’t have a budget I guess, but I have been saving a TON of money with coupons. Thank you very much. Everytime I go to the store, the cashier wants to know where I get my coupons, so I get out one of my business cards and write down Southern Savers…LOL

    • Fran

Our family budget a month is 250. That includes hygiene needs, baby needs and groceries.

    • Renee

I have only been couponing since summer. My grocery budget then was really non-existent, although I tried to spend about $500.00/month (on FOOD ALONE). I often spent more than $100.00/month on cleaning supplies, paper goods, toiletries, etc. We have a family of five. I am still working on my stock pile, and my new grocery budget is $300.00/month including EVERYTHING…paper goods, shampoo, the works. My goal is to get to $250.00 one coupon at a time. Thanks for making it so easy for my family to save money. I am just now getting over how much money I used to throw away, without even knowing it!

    • Jennifer

Grocery store savings….. I save at least $100-$150 per week. My budget is usually around $50 and I always save over $100 thanks to all your help here at Southern Savers. I hope I win I would love to buy my husband a nice present for Christmas.

    • Marea

My food budget is around $150 every two weeks before coupons for a family of 3. I try to have at least $25 in coupons and on a few occasions I have managed to get it down $40 or one time I got it down $50 with the coupons available. I not only use the ones in the paper but I pick up some in the store and print out ones at home. They definitely all come in handy. I am hoping to get it down even lower in the New Year.

    • pamela lind

Family of 4/diapers, about $115/week. I need to get more on top of it!

    • Tammy

Our budget is $300 a month for a family of 3, but I’m always looking for ways to lower it!

    • Cindy M.

Before SouthernSavers 3 months ago our family of four budget was $600-$700. Now I spend $300 and know I can do even better when my coupons are fully built up. This has been life changing for us. Left a comment on Facebook so everyone knows how awesome you are!

    • Erika

I don’t have a budget set in stone….with a new baby we have added some new items to the shopping list :) I usually save about 65% on my grocery bill and I haven’t paid for toothpaste in a long time thanks to you and some great CVS sales!! Thanks for all your hard work! Merry Christmas!!!

    • Melora

Our monthly budget is about $200. I usually do better than that. We are a family of two. We try to hardly ever eat out so I cook alot. I try to keep my savings at around 50%.

Thanks Jenny for all you do. I could not do the above with out all that you do on Southern Savers.

      Merry CHRISTmas.

    • Christy

    • Beverly B

My monthly grocery budget is $450 for 2 adults, 1 preschooler, and 1 baby (w/lots of diapers!!!). I just found this website 2 weeks ago, so I can’t wait to see how much I can save. THanks!

    • Jessica G

My monthly budget is about $400 a month. I love this website because I get great deals on the basics and I still get to splurge on others and stay within my budget.

    • Jenniffer

Our monthly grocery budget has been cut in half thanks to you. We used to spend so much on groceries, but with your site and coupons I save about 60% or more on every trip to the store. Thank you so very much you have been a blessing to our family. The money we have saved has been such a blessing as my husband is underemployed at the moment. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

    • Kimberli

Our monthly grocery budget is $200 – we’ve been saving on average 60% so we’ve been staying way under budget lately and its awesome!

    • Cheryl

I do not have a budget. I maybe spend $50 a week, it just depends on what I am buying. I am single but still get a thrill out of saving even a penny!

      • Cheryl

I just shared on twitter. Thanks!

    • Gina

I am new to couponing and to your site. Currently, our food budget is $500 per month, but I would LOVE to reduce that with your help!

    • Tammy Reed

Since I stumbled onto your site, our grocery bill has dropped by 35% every month. With just 2 in the house, that is huge for us! Thanks and keep up the good work.

    • Bonnie Alderson

I’m probably too late, but between work and making baked goods for church, I didn’t have time to check southern savers over the last two days. Our budget is $80.00/week, but sometimes I spend less, or the extra, I use to buy items that are less than $.50 for our church food pantry. I absolutely love this site, especially being able to mark items for each store and then print out my list. It saves me SOOOOOOOO much time and I love it.

    • Rachael

Over the past 2 weeks I have been having dinner with a close friend of mine who shops and SAVES BIG on Southern Savers. She has been having me and my husband over for dinner at this time because I have a budget of about 40.00 a week on groceries. I don’t have facebook or twitter but I have shared with my grandmother, other family members, friends, and coworkers about this website. Thank you so much for all of your help!

    • Alane

Our monthly budget is about $100 a week for a family of 4 and a dog. However, since I have started using this site several months a ago we are spending less but I am not sure how much less… I need to pay more attention :-) We now eat in more often and we notice the difference!! Thanks Jenny!!!

    • Molly

My husband and I both work in restaurants and our schedules are crazy. We don’t eat at home consistantly so it is very difficult to plan. I am trying to spend $35 a week on food. Thanks to you I have been doing pretty well. Last week I spent $33 and saved $61. Happy Holidays!

    • Eileen

Southern savers has been a blessing!

    • sherri

My weekly budget before I found your site was between 150 and 200 a month. I have shaved that down to 90-120 a month. Thank you for all you!!!

    • Janice

I have $150 every two weeks dedicated to my food budget, since I have started with SS I have been saving 50% off my bill. I have found that Bi-lo is where I usually save the most but I don’t live close enough to Publix to shop there.

    • Tori Chauvin

We spend about $500 a month, but that is with a new baby in diapers and formula, and all of our prescriptions and household needs and of course food.

This is a great site, keep it up!!!!

    • Jenn C.

    • Lynna

Hey, My budget is 50-75 a week and we have four kids so I feel great when I keep it in that realm and thanks to your site am able to most of the time. Going to fb right now. This is and awesome giveaway!

    • Dana

My year end total was $43.47 per week. I’m so excited as this was my first full year couponing (I started Sept 2008). It’s been such a blessing…before we were spending about $75-$80 per week and not getting nearly the amount we are now. We’ve nearly decreased our spending by 1/2 and doubled the amount of things we get. That lets us donate more as well.

      Thanks for the give-a-way!

    • Lynna

Just went to Facebook to tell my friends to check out your site!!

    • Karen Summers

so setting & sticking to a budget is a goal/resolution for me this year……as a stay at home mom of 2 under 2yrs old it’s a challenge to find time to coupon & shop with coupons! Your site has made me successful at it though! thank you!! I’d say we were spending $100 a week easy before coupons and usually $60-$70 now……not too shabby with diapers & baby food too!

    • Karen Summers

oh – and i shared on Facebook!

    • I am still new to Southern Savers, but in the short time that I have been using coupons, I have learned so many tricks. One that I found is that if there are automatic dispensers for items that I like, I take an extra or two to save until the item is on sale (when they normally would disable them). Using the suggestions has really made me aware of how much I can save and that with a little planning, I can easily save $30-$50/ week off of my $100- $125 grocery bill. Thank you Southern Savers for all that you do to help families.

    • Amy A.

I spend about $200 a month. I haven’t started tracking my spending to see how I have saved with couponing; maybe that will be a New Year’s resolution!

    • Amy A.

      I posted it on Facebook!

    • Margie

Love your website–it has helped my budget so much. And I am often giving it out to clerks who wonder how I save so much money! Thank you!

    • bridget

yay giveaways…before southern savers it was about $200-300 but after its more like $150…pretty amazing!

    • Dianna

I may be too late, but our budget is $300 including formula! However, I usually spend around $250 a month. :-)

    • Jenn

We budget 250 a month for six people.

    • Allison

our monthly grocery budget is $250.

    • Allison

      I shared on twitter!

    • Sarah

Our monthly grocery budget is $200 but I usually spend less thanks to your site!

    • Sara

My grocery budget since I started couponing & using Southern Savers has gone from about $600 to $300 monthly–and I’m still in stock-up mode. I intend to try and reduce it by another $100 in the next few months. Thanks for all your help!

    • Wendy

I tend to save 50 to 60% everytime I shop. I also look at Southern Savers before I do any shopping anywhere. Thanks.

    • Tracee

I’ve been saving about $100 a week on groceries! I’ve been spending about $75 a week on our family of five, thanks to Jenny!!!

    • Hilary

My monthly budget this year was $425 – I’ve always gone over budget, until this year when I started learning how to save from Jenny. Next year, our food budget will be $375 and I plan to use the cash/envelope system so it will be impossible to go over budget. This includes school lunches ( $2.25 a day) for my 6 year old and Wednesday night dinners at church – so really my “grocery” budget is lower than the $375.

    • I love shopping with coupons . My budget for a family of four is 200 every two weeks but with the coupons it turns out to be any where from 100.00 to 150.00 they help tons . I love the southern savers site.

    • Susie

My budget is $200/month, and I figure if I save over 50%, I am doing pretty darn good!

    • Nancy L.

We’re currently at around $300 a month for our family of four. I nearly croaked last year when my husband put us on a budget of $400. Now it’s laughable. I’ve just started couponing, and we’re working on whittling it down. Can’t wait to start saving the big bucks!

      Thanks so much!!

    • Stephanie

I don’t have a set budget for groceries, but since Thanksgiving I have spent a grand total of a few pennies less than $50. I took a break from stockpiling and couponing for a month until yesterday thanks to all your help!

    • Stephanie

Shared with my facebook friends and…a guy at work called me to ask about how to start saving money like I do so I told him to go to southernsavers.com!

    • Teresa

I estimate that I save $400.00 a month using this site. The best part is I made baskets for my sisters from all my CVSing and Riteaiding. Each basket is worth well over $100.00 and I paid next to nothing. Thanks for all your hard work.

    • Bethany

My $400 monthly budget includes everything: groceries, diapers (for 2 kids), home care products, baby food, formula (so tired of paying for this) and little incidentals.

We budget 200 monthly for a family of four. We save between 50-150 a week alone! My husband says if there is a healthy addiction mine is saving money…LOL. southern Savers has been a great tool for us!

    • Jennifer

Our budget for a family of 5 with 2 in diapers is around $250, that is everything we buy for house and home except clothes. We have been saving about $60 a month so far (couponing for about 2 months now) and I am getting better with coupons and even about to attempt CVS shopping. Thanks for all the helpful info. Jenny, it truely is a blessing. Merry Christmas.

We are a family of 5, plus a dog. I have got our grocery bill including toiletries, paper products, diapers, dog food, etc down to about $320 a month. Working on getting it lower.

    • Shari

I usually spend $70-$80 a week for our family. I end up saving that much or more each week.

    • My monly budget is 400.00. Today with the food shopping for christmas my bill was 192.00. Thanks to Southern Savers, I spend 102.00. What a savings.

    • Sherry

I spend about 200 to 300 dollars a month on groceries. I use a lot of coupons to bring down the price on that bill. And using Southern Savers has helped saved me a lot of money too. I generally shop at the Base Exchange but went to Albertson’s for holiday shopping because of their ad and I saved over a 100 dollars between their in store BOGO’s, coupons and my own coupons. It does pay to look around and shop ads. Happy Holidays everyone

    • Diane N

Our family of 11 spends about $600 a month at the grocery store whicde is down from over $1,000 before I started coupons and watching the adds.

    • My goal for next year is to actually set a budget and stick to it. I started really taking advantages of coupons this last Feburary and have saved so much. Now I am going to make myself accountable. I want to only spend $40 a wk for our family of 3.
      Thanks

    • I’ve been meaning to go through for an exact figure (cost after rebates) but I think it’s about $200 a month for our family of 5 and one I babysit 45 hours a week. That included household and personal (including diapers). And I stockpile so my pantry, cabinets fridge and basement are stuffed with extra food storage. Much better than spending $550 and eating generic and skimping. Thank you!!!

OOooo I would love to win this Amazon giftcard Jenny!! I used to have a monthly budget of about $300 – $350 and now my budget is only $150 and a lot of times I am well below my budget!! Thank you so much for running such a great site and for all the hardwork you do to help all of us save money on groceries!!

    • Carrie

I have been able to save the most during the month I needed to the most. December!!! Thanks to the triples at HT and the great sales at Publix baking and sharing for this holiday has been easy. Thank you!!!

    • I spend around $350 a month on food, and about $80 a month on supplies. I always save at least 50%. Most of the time I save 60-70%. so that is over $400 a month savings in necessary items. Family of five with only one parent working. Gotta love Southernsavers.com

    • I shared this on facebook

    • Amanda

I went to Publix’s today and my savings was 293.00 I was neg. 25 cents so they had to adjust my bill. This helped my budget alot this month. I have saved right around 800.00 this month. Thanks Jenny

I’m probably too late, but just in case….our weekly grocery budget is $50. Sometimes we’re over and sometimes we’re under…so it all balances out in the end.

    • Penny

My grocery budget is $50…of course my budget is low because of this website! Thanks Jenny

    • misti

my monthly budget is roughly 400.00 for my family of 4. however I usually spend about 200 or so…I love couponing – every time I score a great deal I just feel giddy! LOL! winning this card would be so great for me because I love books, and Amazon has some great deals on books!

    • Mattie Hyde

Posted on both twitter and facebook. I saved $200 this month using southernsavers.com website. On average about 50% savings overall. I’m use to spending about $500 on my family of 3 + 1 pooch. Now I’m down to $300, it will less next month since I stocked up. I only started using your site about a month ago. I’m very happy with the results. Thanks Jenny for all you do.

    • odessa

Most weeks I spend $30 or less on groceries.

    • Kayla

My goal is less than $500 a month for a family of 9 and seven dogs and cats. I am usually under that goal each month and we have tons of food in the pantry and I have plenty to share with others when needs arise.

    • Terri T.

I save around $50/mon., but with the help of Southern Savers, this is beginning to increase. Thanks! And Merry Christmas to all!

    • I save about 75% on each of my shopping trips. The other day I saved over $368.00 and my bill was $0.52. Everyone was amazed. Couldn’t have done without your tips.

    • Right now my budget is 400/month. I am new to this so Im hoping to get it down to 200/month. So far my besr savings has been at Rite Aid, I had 28.42$ of merchandise but only spent .48 CENTS out of pocket. Thats when I was hooked and knew I would be couponing for life. And by the way I went to a class to begin, but this website has become my Bible of couponing. It helps me so much and makes it so easy to know where the deals are, where to find the coupon, and when to go to the right store to get the best deals. Thanks for all you do, and Merry Christmas!!

P.S. I also posted this link on my Facebook

Monthly Grocery budget usually ends up around 400 some even though we strive for 300 (ha ha!) I sure save a ton with coupons 60-80.00 in manafacture coupons usually! Not to mention the store savings when i hit the sales you list!

    • Sandy Henry

My budget for groceries is @ 300 per month. I love saving money and finding deals! I usually save from 60% – 80% each week. Since joining the southern savers family, I have got incredible deals and many, many free items. It would help to win this week!

    • Lisa

I have spent $32 this month ($54 but I am sending in $22 in rebates), that’s $1.50/day after rebates and I saved $220! I am very proud of myself especially at this time of the year. If I keep an excel sheet budget, I am way less likely to splurge on items I don’t need!

    • Lisa

The grocery budget is $300 although we probably spend $400. I’m saving around 50% each trip. Thanks for all you do!

    • Laura

I am new to couponing and still learning! With Jenny’s help I am saving over half of my usual grocery budget. My budget used to be $100 a week (bc we try to stay away from a lot of bad things) and now I can do it on $50 or less. I have shared your site with many others and they are doing the same. Thanks so much for doing what you do.

    • John

I am writing a comment to this website in hopes to win the Card. With things being very tight in the house hold budget it would help to win. I write this comment because it is very true. Thanks to couponing and this sight, our grocery budget has decreased dramaticly. It has allowed for our family to be able to purchase 2 and 3 times what we normally could afford with only spending a fraction. To a family of 4 kids this is very important. Thank you for providing this service to us all at no cost. It truly is a great help not just to me but to all the people that visit this site. Even if I don’t win, I truly want to say THANK YOU for all the valuable help.

    • Donna

In my mind, I think to myself that I am new to the couponing world but I’ve only started at the end of October. It’s just so much to take in when you go grocery shopping and just to prepare the list and get the coupons together, I would have never thought that couponing was this extreme. I’ve learned so much and share what I know to the best of my ability. My savings if had to calculate, I would say I save 50% of what I would normally have spent. I have not had a budget before but plan to do so after the new year so that I can keep track. We are a family of 5. Your site has brought a whole new outlook to grocery shopping and coupons. Your the best and all you do is greatly appreciated!!

    • Tami

My monthly grocery budget is $200. I don’t use coupons as crazy wild as I did when the kids were at home.

    • Tami

      I shared on facebook.

    • Andrea Watts

My budget is about $100.00 a week. I have an outside freezer so I can usually find good bargains on meat every week and I use coupons so whatever I have left I use it to stockpile.

      I tweeted the giveaway

I’m still learning the ropes of the “Southern Savers Way” but I’m averaging between 15-35% savings each trip right now. I only started Southern Savers this past summer, and already we’ve saved about $800 in groceries as compared to last year! Thanks, Southern Savers.
