8th continent soy milk tastes funky.

      • instantphoebe

I think it actually tastes way better than Silk. I prefer real soy milk (not American soy milk), and I can actually taste the soy in this behind the sweetness.

        • Sosorozo

Are you talking about the ones sold in Asian stores? I LOVE those. If you are in the Charlotte area, Grand Asian Market has a soy table set on Fri, Sat, and Sun. YUMMY!

          • instantphoebe

YESSSS Asian soy milk is way better! You can make your own, actually, but it’s a little tedious. I am actually in Birmingham, and I haven’t seen fresh soy milk in any of our Asian supermarkets (which are miniature, btw). I’m glad you know about the magic of fresh soy milk, haha.

That said, 8th Continent has been the least offensive “American” carton soy milk that I’ve tried. Do you have an alternative suggestion?

            • Sosorozo

Do you know there is such a thing as a soy milk maker? My Chinese friends have it and they swear by it. I think you can buy it on Amazon. I am not crazy about any kind of American soy milk BUT I do like coconut milk made by So Delicious and Silk. I am not lactose intolerant; I only buy the coconut milk when it is dirt cheap and it is a treat. Come to Charlotte and I will go to Grand Asian with you!!

Soy milk should never use the word “continent” in its name.

        It’s just asking for trouble.

      Thanks Jenny!

My 8th Continent soymilk has a way cuter package than the one in the picture above. It looks like this: http://lovelypackage.com/8th-continent-soymilk/

      Is anyone else’s the same?

I’ve also found this soy milk at Target.
