      strawberries are awesome here.

    • Benandhansmom

My sale ad (TN) says that strawberries will be .79.

      • guest

Yeah, strawberries $.79 per lb, pears $.89 for 2 lbs, mangoes $.39 and oranges $1.29 for 4 lbs.  Can’t find these prices in any other grocery store!

    • Rosalie

Just went to my Smyrna, TN Aldi yesterday.  A few great prices I noticed.  Eggs are still .69/dozen.  Grape tomatos are .49/pint., 1-lb bag of baby carrots for .39,  3-lb bag of sweet potatos for .89.  Not quite as good as last week’s prices, when the grape tomatos were .39 and the 1-lb bags of baby carrots were 13 cents each.

The mango’s at Aldi on St. Andrews Road in Irmo, SC were $.99 a piece yesterday.  Not sure where the $.39 or $.49 is coming from.  Check your stores.

      • Hey there,
The produce prices are regional so you may want to check the ad from your store to be sure.  You can check online too.

    • Rosalie

Also, 16 oz tubs of all natural sour cream are .99 and have been for a while now and heads of cauliflower are .39.  And if you have an Aldi nearby where you live, as I do, it pays to check back frequently.  In the past few weeks, store overstocks have caused some produce prices to drop far below the already low advertised prices.  Strawberries dropped briefly to .25/lb.  Both cauliflower and broccoli were .39 each.  I saw grapefruits at 10 cents a piece at the lowest.  3-lb bags of onions were .39 and 5 lb bags of red potatoes were .50 each.  Sorry I did not post these prices then, but I didn’t realize Aldi was included on Southern Savers until today.

Oh yeah and I think the 3-ob bags of onions are now .49 at my Smyrna, TN Aldi.  This may mean other Middle TN Aldis have similar prices.  I love their bags of fresh baby spinach for $1.69 regular price and that already great price went down to .25 a bag about a month ago when they had an overstock.  I love being able to get a 3-pk of scribber sponges for .99 that are every bit as good as Scotch Brite.  And their regular price for pork tenderloin is 3.99/lb…..hard to find that low elsewhere.
