I guess Aldi is doing regional pricing on more than Milk and eggs now. My ad has different pricing on the vegetables, more of course. Peppers $1.49, Mushrooms $.79, Red Onions $1.29, Grape Tomatoes $.89. This is Charlotte NC area.

      • Ed In Ncarolina

Same in Winston, Greensboro, High Point area. Of course, $1.49 is still a good price for 3 green peppers.

Greenville and I did  head to head comparison AFTER picking up ALL my fresh meats, a couple frozen (Bubba Burgers), produce, a few chips, sugar,  and dairy. I went online to HT like I normally do and entered the items pound for pound, item for item against what I always order to pick up at HT. My family thought I was nutty going though the receipts and bags and taking the time to do that.

I was in Ireland last year and we shopped at Aldi in Ireland and in France a year or two ago. My mother hates the “no frills” atmosphere, but she watched what I bought and me doing the calculations and is sold!

For the exact same items I get at HT, I would have spent $204, at Aldi, I spent $106. I like that 75% of produce is US grown, not wild about much of their packaged/processed stuff but great slider rolls and parbaked baguettes. EVO can be tricky but Presidente Brie at HT was 9.00..Aldi 2.95, Fresh Mozzarella 2.69…HT 5.99.

My father swore he would not like the almond milk compared to his HT brand…blind taste test…he was wrong and at 2.69 vs 3.99 or 4.29…take it any day!
