So I specifically spent over $250 on nursery items in Amazon Baby Nursery – a pack and play, a sheet set, and a bath spout – specifically so I could qualify for their promotion, which was to receive a $50 credit to the Baby store 30 days after making the original purchase.

When I made the purchase, I specifically used the link to the promotion to make sure that each item qualified. All items were definitely selected through the link and all were sold by Amazon (I wanted to make sure everything qualified).

So it’s been more than 30 days, and I call Amazon to find out what the status is. I got an email back this morning telling me that NONE of the items qualified.

No one can tell me why.

Since the promotion ended on January 31, there’s no “live” list of eligible items visible to the public. I have to take Amazon’s word that these “didn’t qualify.”

After talking with customer service again this morning, I was able to get a $25 promotional credit, but I have to say, I’m really disappointed. I feel like Amazon just pulled the rug out from under me after the fact. Truthfully, I probably wouldn’t have spent that money at the time if it hadn’t been for the promotion.

My parents also made a significant purchase, gifting us some furniture for the nursery, and my mom told me that she hasn’t received her credit, either. I wonder if Amazon had baited and switched her as well.

Did anyone else participate in this event? Did you get your credit?
