Barnes and Noble is giving out an awesome coupon on their facebook page today.  Get 50% off one book.  This is only good today 11/6 but can be used in stores or online.

      I’m having trouble printing the coupon.  It says “You are using an outdated browser and your coupon could not be displayed.”  I’musing intenet explorer 8, which is pretty recent.  Any ideas?

        Same  problem with me. I had to change to  safari browser, or you can try chrome browser. I did and it printed the coupon and code but said I had already claimed it which I hadn’t because it had no code on the other only the message saying I was using an outdated broswer and needed to upgrade and come back. So I will go try the  code now and see if it will work for me.

          The code worked, but I didn’t continue with the deal as it really only saved a couple of dollars unless you bought a book for $50 or more which then made it half off, $25, eligible for free shipping. There was no book $50 or more that I wanted. This would have been great to use in the stores though as then it would have been half off, and no shipping of course. Many books were cheaper than the B&N half price coupon, buying from the marketplace on the site even with shipping included. Ebay and Amazon had better prices on many books as well. So like I said, in the store it was a good deal, not online though.

      I am having the same thing happen to me!!! WTH?? Someone please help? I am terrible with figuring out problems with computers…I really want to use this coupon today :(

      I had the same issue- I had to update my browser to Chrome and was able to get it to display on the FB page using Chrome. Coupon value was well worth the few minutes it took to install Chrome.

        After youlike the page you have 2 wait and a “picture” (for lack of better term) comes up tahat says we liked you to please redeem your 50% off coupon

      Mine is telling me that I already redeemed this coupon.  I used the one that was on here a few days go but isn’t this a new one?  That one was for 50% ofl list price btw, which really was only $1-2 off the already discounted price.

      It won’t take 50% off a boxed set. It really does say 1 print book, so it takes 50% off the price of one book in the boxed set.  And, shipping is $3.99.

      Coupon did not take off 50% for me and I just ordered a regular book.

      Mine came up without printing the numbers under the barcode. When I used mine at one store they took it but when my husband tried to use his at another they wouldn’t.  Couldn’t reprint either :(

      After requiring me to download an updated browser,the online coupon code worked but gave me 50%off of list price, not online price, so I only saved a few dollars.

      I called customer service to order mine after it didn’t work online. What a nightmare. I never got my book. Was hung up on and put on hold. I will never order from them again.

      Don’t be discouraged if this doesn’t work for you. Just tried the coupon and it took $2 off instead of $9. And I’ll have to buy something else to qualify for free shipping. Several similiar complaints on their FB page. Seems B&N wasn’t anticipating the thousands of new “Likes” Guess I’ll go back to Amazon.

        UPDATE: My sister used her coupon and it gave her $18 off; plus the book was expensive enough to qualify for Free Shipping. Worked great for her!

        Mine was 49.99 already on sale for 30% off so it gave 24 % off of that to make it 24.99 which is half of the list price. but still confusing as heck. Still it gets my husband a book he has drooled on several times at the best price I could have gotten it for.

      I got the coupon a few days ago.  The one I got said it was good until the 7th.  I used it in the store and got the 50% off as expected.  Ours B and N is next to Hallmark so went there next and used the 5 dollars off 10 dollars coupon.  It was worth the trip.

      both husband and I tried to get the coupon and it says that the promotion is not valid or does not exist, when you try to click on “access your coupon.”

        It was only good until 2a.m.  est today online. In store expired at close time yesterday.

    • Wow, I see a lot of complaints about this coupon! I was elated to see a coupon for Barnes and Noble at all!! I printed mine Friday, my mom did as well. We went to our local B&N together, each got a book that was originally $39.95, marked $35.95 – and paid exactly half the original price for each one. We did separate transactions, of course. The coupon stated right on it that it would take 50% off the original price, and if the book was on sale it would give you whatever was cheaper – the 50% off original price or the listed price – online or in store. I was very pleased – we got two books for $40 instead of $72! This is the first Barnes and Noble coupon I have ever used that wasn’t a member benefit, and I was extremely pleased. Sometimes I think we just need to be thankful that stores release these types of coupons, even if it doesn’t do what we wished it would :)

      I used this coupon online without a problem. We have been wanting to start the Elf on the Shelf tradition and were able to grab the book and elf set for $16 shipped-that included tax and free shipping. Very, very pleased. AND- I already got an email that the book will ship today- even better. :)

        Are you a member of the express shipping, which is free? I had tried the book set too and it is listed as $29.95, half off made it $14.98, then shipping $3.99 (because the order didn’t then qualify for free shipping as it was no longer $25.00 sale), plus tax…..as you can see made it nowhere near the $16 you some how paid.
