For every person the shirts and jewelry have their own meaning and reminders.  For me I love the phrase Be True.  I see so many mama’s and wives trying hard to be what they think the world wants them to be.  We fill our homes with magazines and a Pinterest boards with ideas that will make life less messy and the house picture perfect.  We worry over what our kids are doing (or not doing).  I’ve realized that the pressure to be the amazing mom starts long before we hold them.   Most of this is from the pressure of feeling like we failed.  We didn’t pick the right items, or start to read at the right age…

My house will never look like a magazine spread. You know what, I don’t want it to either.  To have the Martha Stewart gorgeous house means that I don’t have 5 sweet girls playing dress up. Guess what, your kids don’t know who Martha Stewart is or Dr. Sears (nor do they care).  They know you.  They know and love the real you.  That’s my goal.  Be true to who you are.  Your honesty in life, in showing off the clean clothes pile that never really gets put away or the dishes that are never ending is one of the best ways to encourage other tired mamas.  Be true, open the doors wide have people into your messy life and just love it!
