      I’VE NEVER BEEN 1ST—COOL!

      • very old adult

I never understand why adults play such childish games

        • <3lovestoplaychildishgames<3

Maybe because “some” of us are children at heart still!!!

        • Piphotogirl

I own a daycare. You should try acting like a child sometimes. It feels good, they make you smile and laugh. Seems like you need a smile or a laugh. Give me a sweet little child over a grumpy “very old adult” anyday!

Lighten up a little..have some fun!  So harmless…

        • Judi

there are more things in this world to vent over than a harmless comment. Put you’re energy into a bigger fish.

    • JTTLC

This is a good meal deal especially if your store doubles (so it is less than 10 bucks for al of it)

    • Kylie

On the Crystal Light FB page they are giving a different Q everyday, so I have been able to get $1/1, $2/1, and B1G1, so that will make the crystal light an even better deal

      • Kylie

Guess I should add that this goes through 4/23 and they still have some prints left for today. You go to the Crystal Light Insider tab and you have to go through each of the mocktail ladies and answer the question until you get the coupon. Today’s value is $1

    • Jc4jlg

any idea if there are any specified limits on their Saturday Only Sale items??

      • Leslie

I gave my ad to a friend but what I wrote down was limit 2 Kraft BBQ and limit 2 on the eggs.

      • becca

It is a limit of 2 on each item except for the chicken and the onions.

    • R_moon

there is a store Q on target for the Dannon activia :)

      • Coupongal18

There is but if your store takes Publix as a competitor, that coupon is better because it will make them free!!!!

        • tori729

True, but the  PX coupon is for Light and Fit and we don’t like those so thanks R_moon!

    • johnstka

I have a .50 Bi-lo e Q for the GM milk & cereal bars in my account (would make them .50)
For stores that double +/.50 coupons, the welch’s jelly would be $.39 (good deal in my opionion)

      • Saviorbucks

thx for the heads up on the onion Q!

    • R_moon

My ad for Clinton, SC has SO delicious coconut milk for 2/$5.  There is a Q on the database for .55.  Making the milk $1.40!

    • Paige

Today at my Bi-lo they had a new cardboard stand with free reusable bags for Earth Day right in front of the going on sale Kellogg’s cereal. You can get one bag when you buy 2 Kellogg’s cereals.  They are fun bags, with the classic pics of Rice Krispies, Toucan Sam, and 3 others.  Just a fun freebie if you are getting cereal anyway!

Oh, there is also no Frosted Flakes coupon anymore.

      • kp

Actually when I logged in the FF coupon showed up, so try again. :)

        • Paige

I will try it again.  It wasnt’ there before but I don’t think I actually logged in.  Thanks!

        • Paige

I will try it again.  It wasnt’ there before but I don’t think I actually logged in.  Thanks!

    • chughes

I was at my Bilo in Columbia SC and searched all over the store for the Hillshire Farms Grilled Chicken Breast for the Q deal on the smoked sausage as I was already planning to buy that sale…however, they do not carry the chicken…I was very disappointed as the smoked sausage rarely goes on sale for such a good deal with the Q.

But I have to say that I really love my Sandhills Bilo…they are always very friendly and take all my coupons with no questions asked! (Even if they are always out of the coffee thats on sale – every time.)  Thank you Bilo!

      • Mcleodsc

thanks for the info on the Sandhills Bi-lo-I recently started shopping at Publix in Colulmbia, which is over an hours drive for me. We have a Bi-LO here in Sumter but there always seems to be some problem if you are using coupons. Do you know which stores the Sandhiulls Bi-lo considers competitors? I would like to include a COLUMBIA Bi-Lo as well as Krogers in my monthly trips. I will increase my trips once school is out.

        • Dybroussard

The Bi-Lo in Lexington is fantastic!   The managers are always helpful and they take all my coupons…publix, cvs, walgreens, etc.   I’ve never had a problem, I love to shop there!

        • chughes

I have used Target, Publix, Walgreens, Riteaid & Food Lion Coupons on my shopping trips before.

    • chughes

I just have to share this…I have been telling my dad about how much I save with coupons.  I always buy coffee for him, but have never really done any other shopping unless its just a deal too good to pass up.

But yesterday, I went thru this past weeks sale list that Jenny posted and made a grocery list for my dad.  I clipped all of his coupons and put an envelope together for him to use when he shopped.  I went with him to show him the best deals, and to do my own shopping at Bili for this week.

When it was all said and done, he saved over 55% on his first shopping trip.  He got the meal deal, almonds, carpet stuff and quite a bit of other goodies.  He was so happy with his savings, and very surprised that it worked out like I have been saying.  He took us all to dinner tonight to show his appreciation.  I guess he ended up spending the money anyway, but we had fun doing this together.

I also gave him a list and coupons for Publix to use on the new weeks sale.  I told him to call me when he gets done so I can see how well he did.  I told him I guess you CAN teach old dogs new tricks.  I don’t think he has ever used a coupon for anything in his whole life.  I may make a real couponer out of him yet!

      • That is wonderful! My dad is 80 and I help him with errands/shopping.  Whenever one of his preferred items goes on sale, I stock up.
He’s pretty set in his ways and likes to make a weekly walmart trip for groceries, though.

        • Judi

I tell my mom, if you’re not going to use coupons or buy only whats on sale weekly, then at least go buy you’re food at Wal-mart instead of Bi-lo.  But she thinks Bi-lo is cheaper, I am doing a comparison list to show her the difference.  I shop Bi-lo, but I use coupons and buy only when things are on sale and I stock up.

      • Mcleodsc

Awesome-I used to do that with my stepmom-make her a list and give her the matching coupons for some great deals.

      • Steph

I send my sister who is in nursing school a BiLo list with coupons every week!!

      • Deal Hunter

        Hi chughes,

I love your story.  Thanks for sharing it.  I’ve been telling my mom of 74 years how I save with coupons since forever.  She will not get interested.  She thinks bi-lo is the highest price store and has one across the street from where she lives.  She continues to go to al-Mart and give all her money away.  I guess I’ll have to get her an envelope together the way you did for your dad.  Sounds like this is a business in the making.  Couponing for the Oldies.  ahahaha.  No one steal my idea, okay?  Thanks again.

        Deal Hunter

        • Cwebbweaver

You may also try getting her to compare what she pays for stuff at WM vs. sale price at BiLo. I know someone who swears she saves 30% off grocery store prices at WM but I save 40-50% off grocery store prices by shopping sales.

        • chughes

He did his shopping at Publix on Wed with the envelope I gave him…he called me so excited as he got to stock up on his coffee and still saved over $65. My dad is pretty amazed by being able to save money for himself the way I have been doing.  He’s just recently moved into his own apartment and says he doesn’t know how he’s going to afford the rent and utilities while still helping my grandmother with her bills…I just showed him the way to make it easier.

Has anyone had success getting the Barilla q from their site? I can’t get the page to pull up…and wondered if it’s just my computer.

      • Nope – I even removed the end of the web address to get to the Barilla site. No sauce/pasta coupon. No coupon on the Barilla fb page either. Bad link, I guess? I did get the $1/2 past coupon, though.

    • Nicolemann86

There is the $1 off Q in the publix shopping spree for the aquafina making it 2.99 if your store accepts publix:)

    • ME

Am I missing something on the Dannon Light and Fit yogurt deal?  It says it comes out to be free with a $2 off 2 publix coupon (which will work only on the light and fit) and a manuf coupon for 50cents (which is not for the light and fit)….so isn’t it going to be $1 instead of free?  Still a good price though!

    • Ellysmom626

      Hello,
I am fairly new to bi-lo. Just wondering if you could use coupons on the free items in the laundry deal?  Thanks so much, Brenda

      • olya24

         wondering the same thing too!

      • joette

No , I personally havent tried it, but all the comments on here say that they will not let you use them

      • Guest

I don’t know if the policy has changed recently but I have used coupons on the free meal items in the past without a problem. Last did it in December when they had the buy Michael Angelo’s Entree, get free pepperidge farm cake, free diet coke 6 pack, and free Pepperidge farm garlic bread and used coupons on everything except the Coke.

      • susan5568

the TR bilo won’t. tried w/ this past weeks meal deal using the pretzel coupon was told since it was part of the deal i couldn’t use it according to policy.–  I think that because it is considered a “free” product it can’t be used.

        • Grocerys4us

In scanning over my receipt I found that an ecoupon for the Super pretzel took .50 off my total. That was a nice surprise.

    • Scrambles666

no the deal items are free so no using coupons you can on the tide but thats it

    • GreenvilleCouponer

Don’t forget to use the $5 off $30 purchase Publix coupon (if they are a competitor)

    • Guest

FYI Bi-Lo has the Centrum Pro Nutrients Fruit and Veg. for $9.89. There is a $5 off ecoupon and $5 off RP 4/15 or a $5 off printable RP printable (check Jenny’s Database for the link) makes it free. Also got 2 bottle of Gold Peak bottled iced tea for free with $.75 coupon (coupons com). I love small trips where I go in and come out only paying tax.

    • Christie

There is a  .55/1 Sara Lee Bread Coupons in SS 4/15 making them Super cheap…

      • Lisasc22

thks for the info I forgot about that coupon!

    • Mom2_3girlz

Can you stack at bilo? I am trying but very rarely get more than a $15-$20 saving

      • Grocerys4us

Check with your local BiLo as to which stores are their competitors. They will honor coupons for these store on items but many are not taking the $ off $$ Q’s anymore. The savings get really nice when they have a BiLo ecoupon on an item, you use another store coupon, a manufacturer coupon, and a SavingStar ecoupon. As others have mentioned, it sometimes turns out to be a money maker.

        • Mcleodsc

the store in Sumter SC will not let you stack a competitor coupon with a manufacturer coupon so YMMV

          • guest

Then you may want to contact corporate about that and inform that store manager to read the BILO coupon policy again.

            • Mcleodsc

the manager has the right to refuse any coupon per corporate

    • Has anyone else noticed that Bi-Lo likes to jack up the prices of their BOGO items?  An example would be the Barilla Pasta above.  $3 for a pound of pasta??  Thats an absurd price!!!!  Its a still a good deal if you happen to have the .55/1 Q, but for some reason my area never gets pasta coupons.  Oh well, another reason to love Publix.

      • Bet489

All stores do that, HT is the worst, I’ve actually taken pictures of prices just to see if they did change and sure enough.

      • Anothertiredmom

You’ll notice just the opposite at drug stores. CVS will drop the price on an item and then want you to buy $25.00 worth of product to get a $5.00 ECB. So, now you have to by 3 or 4 of an item at it’s “sale” price instead of just 2 at regular price. It’s all in the strategy.

      • Couponlover

The barilla pasta sauce is 2.99 not the pasta. The pasta is 1.59 for a pound.

      • Cwebbweaver

I also figured out the “price lock”. What I see is that they price lock it at the current price and but the newer higher price as the current price. It just happened on Bubba Burgers.

    • Guest

I got an even better deal than I realized. I bought Comet Stainless Steel Cleaner on sale for $2.50 minus $.85 mfg. cpn dbled (I think I got this on coupon network com, may not still be available) = $.80 then I realized I forgot I have $1 off any Comet Stainless Steel Cleaner saved in SavingStar so it’s free with a $.20 profit. Yeah! If you don’t have the $.85 cpn there are $.75 cpns, check the database. Still a good deal.

    • Jessica

Are some of the ‘best coupon scenarios’ off on a couple of products? The Daisy products should come down to .59 if both coupons are used and the Welch’s product scenario posted should be .39?

    • Deal Hunter

      Hi chughes,

I haven’t gone to Bi-lo yet to try the Hillshire deal, so I’m not sure if my store will have the Chicken breast either.  Did you try asking someone?  My Bi-Lo is very helpful in showing where something is.

    • Monica

Blue Rhino is 2.00 not 3.00 wanted to let you know :-)

    • Jamitim

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this, but the welch jelly would be .39 with the .55 coupon and bilo also has the smaller bounty napkins on price lock so free after .50 coupon

      • Judi

Thanks for sharing the bounty napkins, I got one pack and I still have three coupons for three more, if they get more in before my coupons expire or the price lock ends. woohoo for free napkins.

      • wat is price lock?

        • Jenni P.

Sale last longer than a week – usually last about a month to 6 weeks, I think.

      • Abc79teach

where is the bounty napkins coupon if you dont mind me asking?

        • Jenni P.

           Latest P&G insert.

      • Mywolfcubs3

I think the napkin sale ends 4/22 :(

        • Judi

I think the price lock on the napkins is May 22.  I had three coupons but the store was out, so I checked the date and my Bi-lo, I think was May 22.  I did get mine on Saturday April 21.

          • Mywolfcubs3

you could be right, atleast i got the 22 right:)

    • Kathy

Is the Hillshire Farms coupon for the free chicken breast a Target coupon? Because when I press the print button it redirects me to Target…It says Manufacturer coupon on the list…….just wondering

      • cmb

I just got the same coupon it’s a manufacturer coupon always works at my bilo. Also in the 4/1 RP is a $1/1 Hillshire grilled chicken breast.I don’t know if you can use that coupon too??????

    • The Bilo on the Plaza in Charlotte is the Absolute Worst! They never take my coupons and always raise a fuss. I had a RB $10 off coupon for HT that I got prior approval from the manager to use there but when I went, a different manager said they dont accept those coupons and the cashier didn’t think it was real. When I the manager and I continued our talk, he interrupted and pointed to the catch all “we have the right to refuse any coupons”. I was furious as I left, not because it was $10 that I didn’t get off my order but because of the rude and disrespectful way I was treated in front of other customers. I will never in my life step foot in that Bilo or any other for that matter, wouldn’t care how good of a sale it is.

      • Judi

I am sorry you went through that.  But please know that not all Bi-lo’s are like that.  I shop at two different ones, one of them are the most coupon friendly of any store ever, the other one is a stickler over almost every thing.  So try to find one near you that is friendly even if you have to drive more distance like I do.  Don’t givve up on Bi-lo yet. HTH

      • Jess

The Bi-Lo off Idlewild/Lawyers Rd. Is really good. They double up to $.99 and usually can get away with overage.. at lease that what I noticed last week. Haven’t verified any of that with the manager, maybe I just got lucky.

      • Hoffmansindixie

I had a similar experience at BiLo in Greenwood SC.  My coupons were rejected even though they were legitimate to the items I was purchasing.  Apparently, BiLo stores are catching heat from their corporate head office regarding some coupons.  I was completely embarrased like you as other customers were there too.  My coupons were all legitimate (not fraudulent) and my purchase was for my family needs (I did not clear the shelves). Not sure what’s going on at BiLo these days.

        • joette

Bilo is trying to have its cake and eat it too. They are using the “bait and switch” ploy in marketing. Get you in the store and then change all the rules once you are “caught”. They are trying to be customer friendly  until you get to the check out. T

      • Nicolemann86

I had a problem with a bilo and did the survey at the bottom of the reciept and the manager of the store called me personally to find out what happend and even sent an email to me saying sorry.

    • neda

The Jello pudding is on sale 2/5  there is a Q s/s 4/1 .60 which would make it $1.30 is that a good price? Thanks for Yalls help!  Have a great weekend ..

      • Switchfan

There’s also a Kraft First Taste coupon for $1/1 of 2 flavors (6pk) – you could try signing up at kraftfirsttaste.com and see if they give it to you.

      • bragging

I just bought some from Publix yesterday for $2 per pack.  I used the 60c Q plus a Publix Q and got them for $1.06 per pack after Qs.  That is for the refrigerated 6 packs.  Hope this helps.

      • Jenni P.

It’s a decent price for the 6 pks.

    • ann

With the Q for Barillia do you have to buy the pasta and sauce to use the Q?

      •  Yes, you would need to buy both to use the coupon.

    • Deal Hunter

Nature’s Greens has a .55 cpn on their facebook page.  The collards are on sale for $1.99 a bag.  If the cpn doubles, you’ll get the for .89 cents.  Also, you can sign up on kraftfirsttast.com and get a $1.50 off of one Philladelphia Indulgence cpn, if still offered.  This will be free with this week’s sale.

    • Jennifercaddell35

Just want to add… Publish advantage flyer has $2 off Pepsi next 12pk… On sale for $2.99 at Bilo….that’s only .99 cents for a 12pk…..

      • Judi

Thanks for sharing.  I just picked up the Publix flyer and thought that was a good coupon to use.  I am trying to kick my pepsi habbit and the pepsi next is helping me to reduce and hopefully quit soon.

        • is there a way i can request a publix flyer?

          • Judi

At my publix, you have to go to the service desk and ask for the coupon publex flyer.  The other day they gave me 2 different ones.  This is my first time getting these flyers.  I don’t know if you get two all the time or just one.

            • we dont have a publix here in Charlotte, thought i cud request on eby mail or something, but thx! :-)

    • Judi

I just found out that wal-mart will match Bi-lo’s B1G1F ads in the sale paper.  If that is true, then wouldn’t it be cheaper to price match at wal-mart.  For example, while I was in wal-mart i noticed the corn chips cost $2.28, so I thought Bi-lo was cheaper at $1.75 a bag. But is wal-mart will match bi-lo’s ad on a B1G1F at walmarts price a bag would have cost me $1.14 and I could’ve saved .61 cent per bag. I am going to try this next week.  I knew wal-mart price matches, but I didn’t think on B1G1f items since the price is not listed. Does this make sense?  Wouldn’t it be cheaper to price match at walmart??? I may have to say goodbye to Bi-lo.

      • Jtdjagos

I bleive only if price is listed

        • Jtdjagos

          sorry, believe

          • Judi

That is what I thought too, the price has to be listed in the ad.  But, yesterday at wal-mart the cashier told me a B1G1F would be wal-marts price, but she acted like I’d have to get two. I am going to try it out in a few days.

    • Kat-reynolds

On the Barilla pasta it says there’s a coupon in ss 4/22… Is that a typo?
