For the next three weeks Bi-Lo is running a special promotion just on store brands. While it may not sound fun because we don’t have coupons on house brands… this is actually an awesome promotion. You get 25¢ back on every participating house brand you buy (and probably 90% of them are participating). The 25¢ doesn’t come off at the register but instead prints as a coupon off your next purchase. When you buy 4 house brands it prints a $1 coupon, buy 6 and you get $1.50… and so on.
Why would I say this is so great? Well… think about some of the super cheap items they already have in the Southern Home line. With this promotion you can get 24¢ drinking straws, 43¢ rubber cleaning gloves, 9¢ sauce mixes and lot more goodies. Check out a long list of deals I found in my store.
To try out the sale, Bi-Lo tasked me with making a recipe that called for a number of their housebrands. Total if I grabbed them all we would get $2 back from the event. While I didn’t need some items (we already had them in the pantry) I did grab corn, milk, cream cheese and corn chips — an easy $1 back right there.
We made a Bacon & Corn Dip. It was perfect for football game food!
I left out the jalapeno slices but everything was great without them. In our house if things are spicy half the family complains way to loudly…
