Can any experienced Bi-Lo shoppers speak to how the meal deal works? Do you have to have some kind of coupon, or will it automatically make the deal items free when you scan your shopper card? Thanks for your help!

      • Michelle

It automatically takes off the cost of the Meal Deal items for you after your Bonus Card is scanned.

      • KAWilson

The items are automatically free when they scan your bilo card. If you have coupons you may want to give those first as I have read about some Bilo stores not letting you use coupons on the free items. I have not had a problem so far, but I just hold my shopper card until the end.

      • Lisa

It automatically makes it free. But I don't think it actually calculates it until they hit the total button.

      • Voylescrew

Yes, all you need is your Bilo bonuscard. The amount will deduct from there, just make sure you have the exact items listed.

      • Kch_in_ak

It is supposed to come off automatically BUT I've had a ton of problems with it–I think it's just my cruddy store though. Just have the ad with you and make sure you get the exact items, then pay attention as it rings up and you should be fine. When it doesn't come off on the register, they always make it right.

        • Chele17rene

doesn't bilo have a policy if it rings up wrong it's free???

      • Samprintup

Its pretty simple. just buy the first item and the rest of the items will scan as free, as long as you scan your bi-lo bonus card.

      • angie

It is automatic with the BonusCard.

      • Likinfree33

I buy the meal deals all the time. They usually have all the products in the meal deal in an endcap freezer and when you pay they automatically ring up free. Sometimes not until the end but they do ring up free, plus you can use coupons even on the free things. So this week only 4.99 for all! (if you have the printable coupons)

        • Yntopray

My coupons would not scan (started with rice) so I did not try with just PF Changs, that is why it was a good deal with all the coupons. Tell me if it works for you! (I have a lenghty post above)

          • Denise

I just left my BiLo in Sumter, SC – which I love. They were able to accept the $2.00 coupon for the PF Chang, but not the rest of the items since they were free. The cashiers have been told they must take the bonus card first. So, 7 dollars for everything was still a good deal since I saw the PF Chang yesterday at WalMart for $6.50.

            • Chele17rene

HT has PF chang dinners @ $9.99 EA!!!!!!!!!!! OUCH!!!!!!!!!!

            • AFwifey2004

Hi Denise. I also shop at the Sumter store. Nice to see other couponers in the area.

      • Mnl

It will make the deal items free when you scan your shopping card!

      • Ynotpray

Read the comments on MY post above. They changed their computer system. You can't use the coupons on the free items anymore. I assume you can use the PF Chang coupon, but that does not bring the deal down as low as I thought it was gonna be!

    • Amy B.

I have really been enjoying the store brand staple items they are putting BOGO (last week honey, cornmeal etc. and this week spices!)

      • DonnaTN

Aw man…just read your post about the honey and I was just there tonight and forgot to grab it! Boo! Oh well…maybe next time! lol

      • sharon60

Thanks for mentioning spices, I'd totally overlooked that in the ad. Also found SH ground ginger for 99 cents. Then went to Kroger and found unadvertised deal – Spice World $1 ea – onion powder, oregano, garlic powder, Italian Seasoning, seasoning salt and garlic w/black pepper. Larger bottles than Bi-Lo so you might check it out if you have a Krogers nearby.

    • I'm glad to see the short ad. I have come to the conclusion that I need to take a break from shopping for a week or so. But do they really have 8 oz of cheese for $1?

    • Paige Williams

My Bi-Lo ad also has double fuel perks for the entire sale week!! Yay! I can find somethings to get to get my 10 cents off.

    • DonnaTN

Glad it's a slow week for me. Hope the SH chicken is the same as the one that was in the meal deal a few weeks ago. Those were good. Too bad I didn't grab more of those meal deals. I will probably grab a few items but nothing big. Thanks Jenny!!

      • DonnaTN

Glad it's a slow week at Publix as well!!

    • Melissa in NC

Glad its a slow week for Bi-Lo – will be spending more time and $$ and coupons at Harris Teeter for Super Doubles! Will send hubby for a couple things while he takes daughter to guitar on Friday though. Thanks Jenny!

    • joecola

Anyone know the zip for the Mahatma Rice coupon ?

    • Jenni

I really like the fuel perks deal this week. BOGOF pizzas and corn dogs, AND 10 cents in fuelperks? WIN/WIN!

      • sayacantik

what is fuelperk and how is work??? I'm not quite get it

        • biloshopper052187

for every $50 you spend you will get a 5 cent bonus on your gas purchase. depending on your store you will go to a selected gas station and take your bonus card in and how ever you want to pay. do this before you pump. your price will drop by however much you have accumulated on your card, per gallon up to 20 gallons. if you have any more ?'s ask at customer service they should be happy to help:)

    • Dharvn

Gain dish liquid $1 Price Lock started yesterday, I got 10 free…paid $.70 sales tax.

      • DonnaChas

I'm sorry but I don't understand. How did you get 10 free?

        • Ynotpray

$1 off coupons in newspaper a few week ago, and on sale for $1

          • Elegantcandles

I do not have the Gain coupon in my pg 8/29. I have 2 of them and that Q is not in either. I thought the PG were all the same! Do they vary too?

            • Elegantcandles

oh, dumb me! I just realized it is DISH detergent! Rats, was hoping for free laundry soap! :)

            • Ynotpray

              The Apple mango smells wonderful!

    • Ynotpray

HELP, Did Bilo change their computers? I went in this AM to do a meal deal with coupons for the PF Changs, Rice and bread. They scanned my card, then rang it up, then when they tried to scan my first 50 cent coupon, it would not scan. She told me it would not work since it was free. This is one of my favorite cashiers, so she did call a manager over. She said since it was “free” it would nto take it of. Even if it was 30 cents and I tried to use a 50 cents it would not work. Well, I was calm , but I put my stuff back on the shelf and returned only to buy my gain for 10 cents! Anyone else have problems with this today? I love BiLo and have never had any problems there, managers are always friendly and helpful, but did they change their system?????

      • Paige

If they already scanned your card, then (at least at my store) you cannot use any coupons on the free items. They automatically ring up FREE. If you wait until the end – after coupons (like I have read some other people do) then you can use all of your coupons and then scan your card. I have never been able to use coupons on the free items if my card was scanned at the beginning.

      • Erie

My local BiLo (Etowah, TN) has told me twice now that they no longer take coupons for the free meal deal items.

      • Jhartsell

My BiLo said they must scan the bonuscard first. Then they won't take coupons for the free items.

      • Kim

I was told last night that they did change their system, they are telling customers now to scan bonus card at the beginning – or before coupons. I scan card after coupons and locked up the system.

      • Crazet

Our Bilo has always done that. Our cashier would just put it through. Maybe they have changed the policy.

      • Bethany

Why are you refusing to buy something simply because they won't take a coupon for a FREE item? That's a bit screwy that you woud put up a fuss to get them to take $ off an item that is already FREE.

        • Mary_P

I didn't put up a fuss, I expected to pay 4.99 not 6.99 or 8.99, so I have to decide IF I want to pay that much, that is all.

        • Mandy

Speaking for myself here…but the point was to get it cheaper….if you cant get it cheaper then what you can get it anywhere else, why would you buy it if it costs more? So you put it back….I think lots of us have put things back because the price with coupon either doesnt work or isnt what we thought. Hence the whole point of using coupons!!!

      • Luvdamntns

My BiLo will not let you use coupons for anything free..I had this happen when I first started getting the meal deals and tried to use a coupon for the garlic bread…

      • tannerrm

If you wait and give them your bonus card after the ring up everything and after they have scanned your coupons it will work.

    • Ladyoffaith1010

Has anyone else had problems getting the Tony's pizza coupon to print? I can't get it to work.

      • Barbara

I had to hit the back button to make it print for me. hth

      Jenny,

where on the site can I find the coupon policy for Bilo and Publix?

      thanks!!!

      • Paige

I see that at the top right it says Bi-Lo Links and then underneath that, coupon policy. Hope that helps!

    • southern_belle

on the buy one get one list, what does SH stand for?

      • Morgan

Southern Home. It is Bi-Lo's store brand.

      • Freedomspradley1

Southern Home is the BiLo brand.

    • At my Bi-Lo it is the SH 8 Oz Cream cheese bars that are $1, not the cheese bars (like cheddar).

      • newbie

Thanks, I was really ready to stock up on some cheese.

    • Awcw2boys

For some reason I have never had luck with the smart source coupon printer. I have tried every suggestion posted. What do I do? I'm missing out on deals. HELP!

      • Barbara

I have to hit the back button when it says it won't work. It then prints fine for me. hth

      • tori729

I do the same as Barbara – if it gives me the Java error, I just hit back again until it prints.

    • Guest

Mahatma rice coupon zip code?? Any help would be appreciated! Thx!

      • Jenn

I found it under mine which is 29801. HTH!

    • Sherrys100

Does anyone know if you can stack Catalina's (the coupons that print at the register) with manufacturer coupons at Bi-Lo?

      • jro

yes, you can stack them :)

      • denise

If the catalina is a 4.00 off your next order you can stack them. However, if the catalina states “manufacturer's coupon” at the top, it cannot be stacked with another manufacturer's coupon. HTH>

    • Mlsshartz

My Bi-Lo has BeachNut Stage 2 jar food on Price Lock for 50 cents a jar. Used the great printable q's and I was happy. I missed the deal at Publix so I was so happy when I ran into this.

    • Couponcrazy85

Can I use coupons for the meal deal on items that are already free?

      • Carolyn

My Bi-Lo wouldn't let me this afternoon :(

      • Yes as long as you use your Bonus card Last then it will ring up fine

    • mlm

The add also has Marcal Small Steps 100% recycled facial tissue on sale for $1. Combined with the $1 off coupon from a month ago will make them FREE!

      • Teaguewoman

        Thanks! Got 3 tonight!

    • cag

On the meal deals, I have never been able to use coupons on the “free” items. I have wondered, however, if you went through the self-check out lane and scanned the bonus card last after the coupons, if it would work. Anyone know?

      • yes it does, But you can also go through the check out lane and just give them your bounus card last.. After coupons

        • Olbupp

Thanks for your quick reply – I was curious if they would argue that the Bi-lo Bonus card HAD to be scanned before coupons in the end….I'll be giving it a try soon…just hope they have the items in stock. CHEERS!

      • Olbupp

I'm in Greer, SC and about to go to the Bilo there…anyone know if I scan my bonuscard after coupons will the meal-deal coupons for free items work? I have some options for other stores – just want to see if anyone had problems….I'm willing to go to another store to get the $$ off the free items…afterall, Bilo will get reimbursed from mfg….so, we're really not taking $ from their pocket.

        • Olbupp

I went to the Greer store (across from Lowes) and had no problems! Beautiful store with friendly people. I tried to get the guy to scan my coupons first but he said he needed my card to get the double coupons…I wasn't sure if that was true, so he scanned my card then the coupons. He punched in any coupons that would not scan, although I really think all the coupons scanned except for Bilo's “Buy Theirs – Get Ours”…those he had to input. Thanks SS for all your hard work!!!

        • tori729

I usually go to the one across from Lowe's too and never have a problem using coupons on the meal deal free things.

    • Picrawf

I got an “Our Brands Challenge” coupon last week “Buy Theirs, Get Ours Free” from the Bi-Lo website for Eggo pancakes. They are B1G1 this week. So I did B1G1 on the Eggo pancakes (2 boxes for $2.99) then got 1 box of SH pancakes for free also. That makes each box $0.99!

    • Lgeorge614

We did the meal deal last night for supper. Not a bad deal if you have nothing in the crock pot and you know you can't eat out. I fed 5 adults with this. I did go ahead and supplement with two Banquet meals ($1 each) that were in the freezer beside the PF Changs. (I'm glad I did) Hubby bought it all and did not use any coupons.I was very glad that everything was right there at the freezer in the deal. Hubby would never have found all that stuff in the aisles.

    • does anyone know if you can get multiple Meal deals.

      • Moonlightnc3

You can but you can only it is limited to one per transaction. Do a second transaction and you're good. :D

    • Awcw2boys

Thanks! I finally figured it out. Just had to remove some things on computer.

    • Notlwonks

The link for the Palermo's pizza coupon goes directly to the coupon. If you click on it multiple times, it gives the same exact bar code number. Does this mean that all of these coupons are the same? I went to their website and clicked on the coupon link from their website, and it gave me a different bar code. Then I tried it again from their website, and it gave me the same bar code a second time. I'm assuming you should only be using each bar code once?

    • Denise

The limit is one per order. So I broke mine up into 3 separate orders and had no problems. HTH !

    • Marlene

the bi-lo in gastonia has bumble bee tuna pouch for 99 cents and a blinkie for .55 off 1 – those coupons don't double but still 44cents for tuna is an inexpensive lunch.

      • Mitch

I went to Publix today and they had the same coupon BUT it did not have a do not double on it so I took it to Bi Lo and got the bumble bee tuna for free. They double here but only up to the total price so I did not get the .11 back off of it. But oh well happy to get something for free.

      • tori729

Yay thanks for posting this! I have a bunch of .55/1 coupons I got in a trade that expire at the end of the month, just waiting for a deal at Bi-Lo. Mine will double too!

    • Maryccc1959

I've been getting free dole fruit smoothies and free marcal tissues. They are both $1 each and I have a bunch of $1 coupons for them.

    • Angrcooking

I am trying my PF changs tonight from the meal deal. I hope they are good! If so I'll have another chance to pick one up tomorrow.

      • christine

they are good, I've had the garlic chicken one

    • Erikalrowell

I am so dissapointed to see the comments about usting coupons for items you are getting FREE. No matter how you look at it – it is not right.

      • Remmie

I agree with you one hundred percent! Also, what gets me is reading the comments about cashiers who have “attitudes.”
