Woo Hoo! This, and the Publix list are the highlights of my Tuesday nights!

    • DonnaTN

Looks like an okay week, nothing major. I'm going to hope the SH chicken is the same as what I thought it will be. Last week was not the same kind!

    • coupacoupa

If anyone has trouble finding the Gain dish detergent at Bi-lo (mine ran out rather quickly), try your nearest Dollar General. The regular price of the Gain is $1 (making it free with the coupon from PG 8/29).

      • Barbara in SC

I found the Gain dish soap for $.97 at Wal-Mart. Of course the coupon gave me trouble at the register, but they made it go through.

    • Ucmba97

my ad shows a bi-lo deli pizza meal deal, and a $0.20 fuel perks promotion when you buy $15 in southern home frozen pizza varieties.

    • Onearthasin

Anyone know zip for Mahatma rice?

    • KAWilson

      hmmmm…..no meal deal, no Bilo…..

      • Denise P.

Check your local Bi-Lo Circular. Mine (Chattanooga, TN) shows a meal deal: Buy two signature deli pizzas and get breadsticks, ice cream, mini bagel bites, and pepsi free.

    • Spanishteacher1968

If Bilo doubles coupons up to .60 shouldn't a $1.00 coupon be worth $1.60? It doesn't seem logical that a .60 coupon is worth $1.20 but a .65 coupon is only worth .65……..How can they justify a .60 coupon being worth more than a $1.00 coupon???? I am sorry if this has been addressed before. Thanks ahead for any explanations.

      • mlm

Logistics? I am originally from the West and no one there doubles anything so a .60 cent coupon is just that .60 cents, not $1.20. I am grateful that they do it at all. Why spend your time making your brain hurt because you need more wording than what they put on their store front or in their ads. Read their coupon policy and maybe that will fix the logistic problem you are having. Seems to me you are wanting more that you are already getting (which by the way is a LOT!!). Also the manufacturer covers the first .60 the BI-Lo covers the next .60. By following your logistics they should just give everyone .60 for every coupon they present, because there are way more coupons worth more that .50 out there than less than .50.

        • mlmidiot

to mlm…..Do you even know what you are talking about? Who cares what they do out west or how grateful people should be that coupons exist. Your little rant doesn't even address what spanishteacher1968 is asking. She is wanting exactly what the store is advertising. Most of the other local stores don't do there coupon doubling the way that Bilo does and Bilo's corporate policy doesn't say anything about how they double coupons. It also varies from each Bilo store. Quit trying to slam people and make yourself feel big. Also learn the difference between logistical and logical.

          • RN-phD

I'm just grateful that BiLo doubles coupons because they are so close to my house. Believe me, when I have a 0.55 coupon, I use it at BiLo. Why even question their policy? Just learn the stores policies and move on…

          • mlm

Really? Your comments had to be edited by a moderator. That says so much to me. Thank you for reminding me why I dislike the comment section so much. Have a great week couponing at BI-LO!

            • Wvarner2000

I was just wondering….can't we all comment without being rude to one another? Jenny doesn't charge any of us for this service. Can't we just pay it forward by trying to help each other? If you can't take the negative emotion out of it then don't comment or reply.

        • Spanishteacher1968

I HAVE read the corporate policy and it does not specifiy the amount that will be doubled. Some stores double more. If Bilo has to cover the 2nd .60 why do many coupon say not to double. If the manufactor does not cover the doubled amount why would they care to specify DO NOT DOUBLE. And it does seem Illogical to make a .60 worth $1.20 but anything >.60 is worth it's face value. If there were coins vauled at .60 but could be redeemed in many stores as $1.20, then all coins valued at >.60 would be retired b/c no one would use them.

And I believe the word you wish to use is logical not logistics……I am quite familiar with how products are transported to the store.

          • mlm

OOPS! Did I say to read the CORPORATE Policy?

          • mouser6

I apologize for making my comment full of so much emotion. And I should have taken the time to let you know what all the lingo on a coupon really means and who it is meant for (which I believe is really your question). DND and DNT are just letting the store know that they(the manufacturer) will not cover anything more than the face value of the coupon. A .60 coupon from a manufacturer is really only worth .60. It is the discretion of each store/business to decide if they want that coupon to be worth more to their customers. If any store decides to double it is at their profit loss. I should have explained better and not jumped to the conclusions that I did. Kroger and Publix are also great places to use coupons, if you have them. They of course only double coupons up to and including .50. And just to clarify i did mean to use the word logistics in this case I was referring to the large scale business campaign of the stores which is their double coupon promo. However I should have used the word logic when referring to you as the individual. I apologize again. It has bothered me all week that I responded in the way I did and I really do owe you an apology.

            • Spanishteacher1968

Wow! That was nice of you and I really appreciate it. Isn't is amazing how such a simple gesture, thank-you or sincere apology can make someones day…..or maybe I'm a nerd! :-)

I must also apologize if my original post came across as unappreciative or emotional. It was in fact emotional…….after deciding to stay at home this year, my husband was laid off. So no one in our house is currently working. I in no way meant to be petty. It is only that, right now, every cent counts for us in order to keep our family well fed. I was counting on “doubling up to .60” to mean “the first .60 is doubled” and did not question myself or the store policy b/c it didn't make sense that .60 would be worth $1.20 but $1.00 was still just a dollar. My orginal understanding of the policy would have allowed me to manage a 50% savings in our weekly grocery bill considering some necessities never come on sale or are < %50 savings. Furthermore, it gave me reason to justify a few snack/sweets luxuries for our kids. Oh well, “c'est la vie!”

On a more positive note……our current situation has taught me to appreciate the little things in life that we often are too busy to stop and enjoy/reflect upon. So thank you b/c you made my day!!!! :-)

            • mouser6

Thank you for accepting my apology. I hope things go better for you and your family.

            • Glad to see you all work this out :)

      • Mel

A .60 coupons is “worth” .60 to the manufacturer and no more than that. The store takes the hit to double it. There's got to be a stopping point of when to double. Perhaps they went the extra 10 cents, as opposed to other stores, to get the customer's business. At any rate, it's a benefit to the customer.

      • RebeccaFer

Everything and everyone, including stores, have a limit and for most Bi-Lo stores, sixty cents is their limit. I am fortunate to live in an area, Charlotte, where my Bi-Lo doubles up to $.99. Most stores across the US do not double any coupons at anytime so like mlm said, I am grateful and don't ask for more. :D

      • Angie

As other posters have mentioned, Bi-Lo has to pay the doubled amount. If they add .60 to every coupon thats .75 or more, can you imagine how much money that is? Think of the thousands of coupons Bi-Lo takes in weekly. Also, when Bi-Lo was going through bankruptcy, they could have easily quit doubling coupons as a way to save money, but they didn't. They needed to stay competitive. There are many supermarkets who don't double coupons at all. I think we should be appreciative of any who do, especially in todays economy.

        • Spanishteacher1968

Thank you for your logical and very polite reply. I have been reluctant to shop at Food Lion due to their “no doubling” policy, but I am going to give them a chance with my $1.00+ and “Do not double” coupons for their sales. The .60 or less coupons are definitely a better value at Bilo……& I do like those Fuel Perks! Simple solution. Thanks again. :-)

      • Cindyrella

I know what you mean. Years ago, my favorite couponing store was a Safeway in northern VA and they did just what you are suggesting would be logical. They doubled coupons up to $1 and if it was over $1, they'd still add $1 to it. So it has been done at some stores in the past.

    • Jan

FYI: The Angel Soft printable q is for 1) 6 double roll or larger package. It does give you 2 months to use it though.

      • Pdjlb5

I printed my Angel Soft coupon to use at Bi Lo and figured out it was the 4 pk so I used mine at Publix this week because it's on sale there too.

    • Tiff715

If its b1g1 can you just buy one at half price?

      • Laurie

Yes. Each one rings up at half price.

      • Mdavis1205

yes, they generally discount each iten to half price when its rung up. The refore if you have 1 coupon you can it for 1 item, or 2 coupons for 2 items, unless the store you shopping at states no coupons can be used for free items. The only time I ever saw that posted was last week at Harris Teeter during the super double sale. Hope this you.

    • I just noticed when I went to make my list that my store has their store brand heavy cream and their coffee creamer b1g1free and it isn't listed. I use heavy cream for my biscuits instead of butter or shortening so I was excited to see that. :-)

Oh and I'm in Lexington, SC.

    • mouser6

Okay everybody I found an answer. Just thought I would do a little research on why some MFC”s say DO NOT DOUBLE. All MFC's have a fine print that states they will reimburse the store face value of the coupon plus 8 cents for handling. So if Bi-lo doubles a .60 cent coupon they will get .68 cents for that coupon and take a loss on the other .32 cents. The manufacturer in stating they will cover face value only of the coupon and DND (or even DNT sometimes) is just making it CLEAR TO THE STORE that they will give them no more than the face value plus the 8 cents. It really has nothing at all to do with the consumer. All decisions to double or triple is the choice of the business your are shopping at not the manufacturer. I hope this helps everyone understand what all that wording on the coupons means. Happy Couponing!

      • mouser6

And I do apologize for any negative comments I made.

        • Spanishteacher1968

Thanks for taking the time to clear this up for us. See below for my reply on your last response. Such a gesture isn't common these days. I very much appreciated it. :-)

    • carolyn

Does anyone know if the meal deal this week is “2 pizzas for $11.98 total” or 11.98 each? It is not clear in the ad, and makes a difference.

      • Tkpapple3

it is on 2 pizza for 11.98

    • Print these Huggies coupons and use at Rite Aid. Get 3 Huggies pack to make $4.

    • amyl

I shopped Bi-Lo last week and the Sobe's at my store are no longer in the $1 price lock. Just FYI in case anyone was looking to get some this time to double check the price. Not sure if the price lock dates vary depending on area, but I am in SC.

    • TML

Does anyone know if the Limit of 2 on the paper towels this week is per bonus card or per transaction? I just picked up 2 of them… and thought about getting 1 more for the office… Anyone know? Thanks!!

      • Mjsizzle

        its per transaction.

    • Linda

Is there a store in Gainesville Ga.??????

    • Str8krazie

the coupon for the angel soft toilet paper is off of any 6 double roll or larger package. not the 4 roll pack.

    • Scwants2save

Bi-Lo in Myrtle Beach does not price match or take competitive coupons!

    • Stephanie S.

Can someone tell me how a B1G1 coupon will work on a B1G1 deal?

      • DonnaTN

The store will take the full price amount and split it in half for a B1G1 sale. For example if an item is B1G1 3.99 then each product will ring up 1.99. So you don't have to buy 2 items if you don't need it but if you buy 2 products, you can use 2 coupons as long as it is $/1 coupon. HTH

      • They will take off half-price of one. For instance, if it is B1G1 2.50, then each product would ring up 1.25. If you are buying 2 and have a B1G1 coupon, then they would deduct 1.25.

    • Coupon Cheryl

I'm sending my hubby to Bi-Lo tomorrow and just want to make sure I understand the policy since we are new to couponing. If I have 2 coupons that each say save $1/2, can I buy 2 products and use both coupons, thereby saving $2? or would I have to buy 4 products to use both coupons?

      • Debko

You can use a $1/2 coupon on two items. If you wanted to use both coupons you would need to buy 4 items. Good luck on the shopping trip.

    • Jlhiggins1527

I am very new to couponing and just want to let every one know that most of the comments below upset me to some degree. This is so exciting for me to save money by couponing but with the negative remarks, it has sort left a bad taste in my mouth (so to speak). I sincerely wish that the couponing community would remember that there are new members out here that need encouraging and are searching for new knowledge. I had to really look past several posts to find something besides negativity. Just a reminder…thanks for letting me share.

      • Teresa

I agree to a certain extent. However, you just left a negative comment!

        • Jessiegirl

Sorry, my intent wasn't to be negative.

    • shel_Bel1985@yahoo.com

I have a question about catalina coupons? I recieved $4 off wyb both Pampers diapers and wipes catalina coupon. My question is: can I combine this coupon with a $2 off coupon that I have for Pampers diapers?

      • Robinpedigo

        Yes you can!

        • Shel_bel1985

That's just so awesome. As you can tell I am still quite new at couponing so the idea of being able to save that much on one item makes me very happy.

    • Jessiegirl

Quick FYI (if interested): Pampered Chef has a great coupon clipping tool!! Saves lots of time.

      • Danibush37

It is a little slicer that cuts the coupons for you.

    • Deborah Smith

site is not allowing me to print certain coupons. I have been able to print one but the Campbells soup it won't let me print. says my printer is incompatible…thats interesting it wasn't incompatible when I just printed that coupon; only the campbells. I followed the instructions, even attempted to email the help section but it said they were busy posting new coupons…not that that would help me.

    • Stephanie

Deborah, I am having the same problem right now! It is driving me INSANE!!!!
