With all of the new coupon codes coming out I really don’t see the need to ever pay for a movie! Here are even more new coupon codes to get more free rentals!  (This is also really killing any desire to ever pay to go to a theater too).

These codes are only good on the $1 movie rentals.  Find a Kiosk near you.

Are these codes for certain movies?

      • The promo codes only work for the $1 rentals.  BBE now charges $2.99 for new releases for the first night.  If you check their website the $2.99 movies have a little flame in a circle symbol.

Are these codes only good in certain regions? I tried each of them and each was an invalid code.

    • I used one last week and they charged me so be careful.

    • I used one the first of the week and they charged me so be careful.

I used three different codes on three different nights. It looked like I would get it free. Three separate charges on my credit card. I’ll have to call to ask why but I am quite disgusted. Glad to read about the tip on how to find out what the cost is….BEE

It should credit your card when you return it.  I guess that is just how they do it.  I used a debit card and it showed when I checked online but then when I got my statement it doesn’t even show the charge and credit.  It’s like it was never used.

Good thought about the credit but I checked and it’s not there. I probably rented a new release and got $1 credit and then got charged $1…..I’ll post when I know more (if I manage to call next week)

      • Never had a problem. Maybe it’s your card (?)

When I use the codes, it initially shows a charge on my card, but after a couple days, it takes the charge off.  The reason is that they are sending out an inquiry to your card to be sure it is valid, in case they do need to charge a late fee.  When they actually do the settlement, they do not send the charge through for payment, so your financial institution removes the charge.  It just takes a few days (up to 5 business days I have heard).  Not 100 percent sure that this is what is happening with your card, but thats how it works on mine.

I don’t understand.  How do I do this?

      • @Chinaprincess:  Click on “find a Kiosk near you” (it’s underlined and so it’s a link). You will be taken to the Blockbuster Video Kiosk movie site. There you can put in your address and it will show you all of the stores that have a kiosk. Choose a location. Choose a movie or movies. Put in your credit card info and one of the codes above in the box that is asking for (I don’t think it says codes…but you will see the empty box near the pricing info), and hit enter or whater it says, and viola, your videos are ready to pick up prior to 9:00 pm or they will be returned, not held for you. When you get to the kiosk, use the same credit card you used on line and hit the reservation button.  Enjoy your movies!

Thanks so much!  Sometimes things so simple seem so complicated.

I used 3 of the codes that expired on 8/29 earlier this week with no problem. The ones that expire on 9/2 did not work.
