Update:  ShopAtHome just sent out an email stating that ALL Magazines.com purchases made yesterday for All You will be honored with EXTRA Cash Back.

Yesterday I posted a deal that was only good for the day and made All You Magazine a great price after cash back.  I woke up this morning to learn that after the fact, All You Magazine and Shopathome are not honoring the 50% cash back on All You.  They are giving you 28% cash back, but it’s not what you expected when you placed the deal.  All You really doesn’t want you to get a deal on a magazine that is about saving money…  If you ordered other magazines yesterday you are fine, you will get the 50% cash back as promised.

What does this mean:
You bought a 2 year subscription for $34.  You will get 28% back in your shopathome account, or $9.52.  Making your magazine $24.48 or $1.02 an issue.  That is still a pretty good deal, it’s just not what we thought it would be.

What you need to do:
If you placed an order after lunchtime yesterday and you want to cancel your order:

“Simply call Customer Care toll-free at 1-800-MAGAZINES (800-624-2946) weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. CT or on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CT. Or, if you’d prefer, click here to contact us by e-mail us or to use our fast, convenient Live Chat service.  When contacting us about an order, please be sure to include your name, address, magazine title(s) and confirmation number(s).”

I have to say it is very frustrating to get deals together just to have a company come back and not honor the deal.  I’m sorry for your frustration too as you have to now take an extra step to fix it.  Please know that I work very hard to make sure each deal is correct and good before posting and I hope that you don’t lose confidence in that.

      That stinks.  I ordered two copies, so now that means that my cash back is just below $20 and I can’t get a check unless I order something else….  =/

        Sorry, that wasn’t meant to be directed towards you.  I realized it may have sounded that way.  I was just disappointed in general bc it was such a good deal and I had been debating about whether or not to order All You.

      I didn’t take advantage of this deal yesterday  but by you posting this with an apology says alot about you and what your website stands for.  You have no control over companies not honoring their deals so continue to do your good deed for people like us.

      Hi Jenny,
      I thought things were a little off when I placed my order yesterday and I worried about it all night.  Thanks for clarifying and I have now cancelled my order.  I just want to say “THANK YOU” for all you do putting all this stuff together for us.  I attended your seminar in Asheville a couple of months ago and I just can’t believe the difference it has made in the amount we spend at the store and all the extras you let us know about so we can save money.  I am still learning and I know I will get even better at this over time.  But I am truly having a blast!  I have told anyone who will listen to me that they need to attend one of your seminars if they possibly can and I recommend your website all the time.  Thank you so much Jenny!!!

      I dont find  All you worth the purchase. Home issue does not have all coupons as shelf bought magazine. Sold only at Wal Mart is also a bad sign.,Not surprized company did this

      I ordered All You on 8/17 and yesterday, 9/1, I rec’d a post card in the mail saying they couldn’t honor the deadline they gave me to get the magazine and I can cancel my order or wait (not exact words… but I was suppose to get a $6 gas card as well for ordering the magazine and no mention of the gas card on the post card.) So, looked like they were saying they didn’t care if I ordered the magazine or not! What to do???

      Thanks for letting us know about this. I just cancelled my order. I hope everyone that ordered with them yesterday will cancel. That will send them a message about not honoring their commitments.

      The way you handled this speaks volumes about you, thank you for the follow up.  I just found out about your website a few days ago and have been truly impressed.  This didn’t change my opinion one bit.  Actually, it made me even more impressed.

    • ya know.. all you isn’t that great for my family.  i bought a subscription a few months ago, and it’s not been profitable yet.. They say that it has 50-80 dollars in savings in each issue, but most the  coupons are not usable for my family.  I think I’ve used one coupon for $1 off country crock.  I only used that once on a tiny country crock container of honey butter.. that 25 bucks could have been better spent in my opinion..  :o)

      Jenny, the work you do on this site is absolutely amazing.  It has saved my family so much money over the last year and a half, and I’m recommending your site to strangers I meet in stores, family and friends all the time.  It makes things like Christmas gifts possible for people who live on super tight budgets.  I can’t thank you enough.  I stopped buying All You myself anyway, because what they offered wasn’t what I needed…what your site offers IS what I need.  Thank you.

It is still a good deal but I would also have to go and buy another magazine subscription in order to just get 20 back to begin with so I ordered a second and then would have to go back in today and order a 3rd just to make it to 20 and I just don’t want to fork all that money out today just to get it when I don’t really want the other 2 as it is!

      I just called customer service and they said all orders placed yesterday through today at 11am they are honoring the 50% cash back.  Is this not correct?

        I just got off the phone with customer service and they confirmed that they would be honoring the 50% cash back. I was told that, unknown to them, ALL YOU had opted out of the deal earlier. They started getting all these cancellations later and not “understanding” why. A customer sent them a link to Jennie’s post and some facebook postings, and they “figured” it out. He said they would be honoring the orders and our accounts should reflect it???? I haven’t checked mine out yet…. Obviously there is strength in numbers! Jennie, I have attended one of your workshops, and I visit with you every day online. You are making a difference in many, many different families—reminds me of my life verse (22) in Jude! I truly am grateful for all your help and consider this just a minor blip on the radar screen–keep your chin up!

    • I ordered an all you subscription the last time there was a really good deal on this site. Since then, we have moved. I have tried to change my address with them but it didn’t work. Any suggestions?

        I ordered in Feb and didn’t get my first one until May. I had mentioned it to a friend in April & she said she had ordered in Dec & didn’t get her first until March and from other folks she’d asked it seems to always take 3-4 months to start.

        I went to their website and followed links to report problem w/ subscription, it was not easy.  They may have a phone contact at their site that I missed.  I finally got my Sept issue this week- over due missed some coupon deals but finally got it.

      I saw the deal was still on the site today and decided to order…I hope it all works out, I only have one more issue left on my current All You subscription. How long will it take for the cash back to show on my ShopAtHome account? I know with Ebates it only takes a couple days.

      Jenny, all the amazing things you do are the best and what a ridiculous company does should not be your fault.  Like others have said, I ordered subscriptions for All You months ago and still have not gotten them!  And as someone else said, it isnt all that great. Like another fan commented, I’m using maybe a $1 in coupons per magazine per month. So I’m not really even breaking even buying it at Walmart. Lots of the coupons are for things I never use. Even as cheap as you an get the subscription, its not that great of a deal when you dont have coupons you can use.

      Jenny, no reflection on you!  I recommend your site often and tell others that you are a fine Christian lady with integrity in all you do.  I will continue to do so. Not sure what the deal is with All You.  I finally got my Sept magazine this week- too late for several coupon deals, no apology or even a response to my emailed complaint.  I’m NOT impressed. ALL could take a lesson from you about how to do things the “right” way.  If they don’t do better I don’t anticipate renewing.

      agree with MTV–I had to call All You twice to find out why they debited my account in June for the subscription but I did not get my first magazine until Sept.  NOT good.  I hate ordering magazines because they always send a bill way before the end date to trick you into signing longer.  This time I have marked my calendar for subscption renewals!

      Please don’t think All You’s poor customer service reflects on you or Southern Savers!  We know better ;)  I signed up for two free trial issues of All You earlier this year.  I received TWO invoices for my subscription before I’d even seen the first free issue.  Not cool…  Most of the Q’s I use come from the inserts that are only available in the store issue anyway.  So I’m better off buying it out of the store.  One word of warning if you do: take time to leaf through every single page.  Once I bought a newstand copy and didn’t notice that someone had torn out an Old El Paso coupon.  Now I look at every page before purchasing.

        thanks jenny for the heads up! I just called and cancelled my subscription. Seeing all this negative publicitiy, you’d think they would want to honor the subscribers. I got a card from them in the mail saying they couldn’t honor the subscription in a timely manner and I could cancel, yet they are advertising to sell more subscriptions… seems like they’d honor the subscriptions they already sold! Wrong!
