Coastal.com First Pair Free

With the holidays coming up, we’re all trying to pinch our pennies where we can.  Some expenses are unavoidable like bills.   One big expense you don’t have to worry about:  glasses.

Coastal.com is offering their First Pair Free deal again this month!  If you’ve never bought glasses from them before, you can choose from over 300 frames and get them for FREE (including standard lenses) with the code FIRSTPAIRFREE.

Shipping averages about $13 and special lenses cost additional, but this is way cheaper than buying frames from the doctor’s office.   My favorite part is that you can try on your favorite pair at home and if they don’t fit, you can return them with free shipping!

I’ve head at least 10 friends grab this deal and they all love their glasses.  While I don’t wear glasses, if I did I’d be all over this.

Does anyone know if this could apply to prescription sunglasses? My hubby can’t wear his contacts anymore and is in a stop-gap until we can have LASIK done. He’s really needing some sunglasses!

Looked to me like if you got anything other than regular basic lenses the discount only took off $98/the price of the frame. I selected the transition lenses and that is what it did, so I went back and just got the basic regular lens and it took off everything but shipping and insurance…my total was $18.88…which is much better than $300+ at the doctor’s office.

You’ll have to pay for the tinted lenses. It’ll be around $100 still. They’re not cheap ones though, the prescription sunglasses I got from Coastal are far better than the ones of other sites as far as quality. If you’re going for cheap for the interim though I’d go with http://www.glassesshop.com They have cheap frames and choose the free lenses and just add tint to them. Should be about $25 depending on the frames you picked out. I have a pair of tinted prescription frames from them as well and they are fairly durable for the price. They compare to the Coastal sunglasses as far as quality. Hope this helps!

Just ordered an extra pair for my 7 yr old. You never know when an active boy may break his current pair.
