Rite-Aid will not accept the coupon for $1 because it will be 1c more than what the cost of the toothpaste will be before taxes. They do not do as CVS.

Actually, it states in Rite Aid’s policy that they will accept the coupon if it exceeds the value of the item. So the cashier must reduce the coupon down to $0.99 instead of $1.

        Excerpt from their policy:
In the event that any item’s selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Rite Aid will accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is allowed.

Just used the $1 coupon at my Rite Aid with no problem. They did not give me the penny, but they took the coupon.
