You don’t “ALSO” get back $5 EB… that statement is so misleading. The items are considered “free” BECAUSE you get the $5EB after you SPEND $5. A good deal, but NOT free + also $5EB as the post implies…. (Note that the CVS coupon from the red box must print for you also for this deal to be free…).

      • Apples

        To RB,
DID YOU READ YOUR POST BEFORE POSTING IT? When transaction is said and done it is free. You spend $5 then leave with $5-$5+$5=$5.

        • Wendy

No actually RB is completely right. The statement that it is free AND you get back ECB is the point. It’s only free. No and. It was just a typo on the Southern Savers author’s part but yes it could be misleading. I thought the same thing before even reading comments.

Either way you get two cents back, sounds like a good deal to me

I went to CVS tonight. Their coupon machine is broken. Since it does not say in their add that there is a coupon associated with it, they would not give it to me for that price. I had the two, two dollar off coupons. After taking that off I paid $9 and some change. I did get the 5 dollar credit to be used the next time. So I paid $4+ for these items.

    • Green

After watching lots of youtube video, I was ready for my very first attempt to start couponing and it didn’t work out :( I scan at the cvs coupon machine and there’s no CVS -$2.00 Coupon for Toothpaste, toothbrush or floss purchase. They look at the ads and doesn’t say anywhere that CVS offers it so they wouldn’t do it for me. kindda discouraging…

      • Cedenf

Everyone doesn’t get the same coupons at the red machine. Sometimes I stop by just to get coupons and wait to see if any match up with this week’s ad or next. It takes a while to get the hang of it. Don’t give up

The more you shop at cvs the more coupons you get. If this is your first time you might not get the coupons for the specific items. More transaction you have with them, the more coupons you can print.
