What a good idea to print our lists off so we don't have to go searching through the whole stack. Thanks for your help.

      • EB

Every week, I take Jenny's preview list, edit it to show the exact coupons I received and then paste it into the end of my 'master stored coupon” word document. This then becomes an easy to search personal “database” of what coupons I actually have in my files of inserts. When I edit the lists, I highlight with red any coupons that Jenny did not have in her list because I know those are things I should keep an eye out for to matchup on my own since they will not appear in Jenny's database for her to use in matchups.

    • Cdhand35

Thanks for posting….I also am from Ft Myers, Fl….I haven't received a SS in my paper since mid Oct and cannot get the paper to call me back regarding it!

    • Luci

Jenny, if you want me to send Jackson, Mississippi. Let me know. I edited a list to put with my coupons. I did get a different Smart Source, different (2) Red Plums, and General Mills. General Mills might be the same as others.

    • Bobbie

When I click on The State – Columbia the list is printed in red, blue, and black. Is this color coding? If so, what does it mean?

      Thanks!

      • Couponjunkie

Red means they are not in our paper.

Blue means it different from her original list (could be amount, exp. date or that it's not on her original list)

Black means it is the same as her original list.

        • Bobbie

          Thank you!!! :)

        • Clayo

What does it mean when in blue and in bold and says “straight from the building and loan”?? Is that a cut & paste error, or does that mean something, lol?

          • Couponjunkie

That's not anywhere on The State's list. Was it in another paper?

          • kjmiller

He was making a joke. It was for “Bailey's” coffee creamer. :)

    • KSC

Can someone tell me where I might find an AJC that has the SS insert? I live a little north of Atlanta and the AJC here does not have the SS insert.

      • Natalie

try the wall street journal.. it only has the SS I beleive

    • Erinjburton

Greenville, sc had 2 RP and 1 SS

    • Sparklecat2009

Thanks Lisa for the Raleigh list!!!

      • Lisa B

        You're welcome!

        • K_2204

          Hi Lisa B.

since you live in Raleigh, I was wondering if you could help me. Whenever I search for the SS coupons that are listed I cannot find them in the inserts that I have. i subscribed to the Raleigh N&O.

example: Kroger has a special on Schick Quattro B1G1 there is a $2 off coupon in SS 10/24 listed on the Southern Savers website, but the coupon does not actually exist in my inserts. Am I searching in the wrong place? Please help.

          • Lisa B

            Hi K,

Since 10/24 was during my “busy time” when I couldn’t track the Raleigh N&O variations I can’t say for sure for the Schick Quattro, but if you don’t find it then the most likely explanation is that it’s not in our local version of the inserts. It’s a bummer but it’s part of the “game,” I guess. If a coupon doesn’t appear in our version there is an alternative–you can order it from a clipping service (I use couponsthingsbydede.com, but there are others). I’ve even placed orders the day the sale goes up here and had the coupons arrive in time for that special with several days to spare. This won’t help you with the Schick deal unless it lasts longer than this week (the shelf tag will tell you when the sale price expires).

    • Melissa

Okay; I'm new here, and I read the color coding thing at the end. However, there are a few coupons listed for The Tennessean in both blue and black that I didn't get (ie Hellmans, Herbal Essences/Aussie, Uncle Bens). I thought that only if they were listed in red that we didn't get them. Am I confused?

    • Crystil

ok, so i have a question… why cant you just go to the smartsource and redplum websites, mark all coupons, and print them? are the ones on the website different than the ones in the papers?

…im still new at this but slowly getting the hang of it.

      • EB

Often they are different in both items and values – sometimes the online is better, but other times it is the paper coupons. Also, you are limited to two prints of the online coupons per computer Some stores also limit how many internet printable ones you can use more strictly than they limit the paper ones.

        • Crystil

Thanks! I've been keeping both the on-line printed ones AND the ones from the newspaper, but I was curious as to if I needed to be. You def answered my question! :)

    • Michelle

I was so bummed last week. Walgreens keeps their papers behind the counter and the coupons are sealed in a plastic folder. You only get them when you buy the paper. I bought two papers at $3 a piece. Opened the sealed coupons and NOT ONE INSERT! I threw away the papers and wrote it off as stupid tax.

      • Lisa B

I think you need to find a new place to buy your papers! I will only buy my papers from places that let me look and make sure the coupons are there before I pay. Usually I go to Food Lion, where the Sunday clerk knows me and always asks “Is your paper straight today?” She assures me that she keep an eye on the papers because they are at the end of her register. I also sometimes go to a Walgreens where they assure me no one is allowed to touch the papers unless they are buying. I always look through in full view of the cashier and tell her what I am doing so they don't think I'm trying to steal anything.

    • Stinemetz C Coupon

Does anyone know which Virginia paper is best for inserts?

      • akellyinva

Richmond Times Dispatch is a great one. I just finished typing those into my database and will send them to Jenny soon should she decide to post them here. hth

    • Claire

What I want to know is, the SS $1/1 Baileys coffee
creamer is both in blue and in bold but it also says
“straight from the building and loan” is that a cut
and paste error or am I just not hip to the jive, lol?

    • Suzanne

I got a paper in Winston-Salem, NC and there was only 1 insert…bummer!

    • Jen Lindemann

The Herald in Rock Hill, SC got mostly the same coupons as NC's Charlotte Observer, all 3 inserts, but some coupons were different values. The Breakstone's sour cream was .55/1 in the Herald, but $1/1 in the Observer.

    • Mimimller1

Beth: Thanks so much for listing the variations for the Charlotte Observer. I'm new at couponing & finally understanding the concept. Love It!

    • Canny

I could not get any of these links to work. It said URL not found on this server.

    • Couponjunkie

Had anyone else in nchad a problem getting coupons this week? I've bought 2 different papers and they only had a smart source insert

    • Mommylovesqpons

I just bought a double newspaper in Gainvesville Ga and no inserts. Last week on ly one. I feel ripped off. What is going on?

    • Mommylovesqpons

I just called Publix to ask if they knew why the AJC was not including coupons. They said that they got a letter stating that not all coupons would be avail. every week. This week there were NO coupons. So they let me return the double paper that I bought. And they told me that I was welcome to look through the paper to see if coupons are included before I buy. I will be doing that and I also wrote a letter to the AJC. I think they are going to regret doing this, there are lots of people who only buy the paper b/c of the coupons.

    • jlc30180

I had inserts…..but I have received an email from Proctor and Gamble about inserts being in this weeks paper for them….So I really do not know if there will be insers on a holiday weekend or not….
