Going Nuts? I can help you understand coupon terms and abbreviations

Here are the differences in the coupon inserts you received Sunday 7/10.

Click on the paper near you to see what coupons were actually in the inserts around the Southeast. Check out the differences to really get an idea of what paper is the best to buy.

A few ways to use these lists:

  1. If you see that you did not get a coupon that was released, you can go to online coupon sites and order it.
  2. Print the list for your area and keep it with your inserts to quickly know if you have that coupon.
  3. Use it as a way to decide what paper is the best paper in your area to buy.

A legend for the list:

Black = You got this coupon!
Red = Not in this insert

Blue = A change in value or a new coupon not in the preview.

what sites to order it.  I did not receive the Red Plum in my Sunday paper in Greensboro News and Record.

      • Mickeyclem1981

Don't feel bad I initial bought 3 papers which i had to return due to no coupons to find papers that only had replum inserts. So I went to publix and purchased two additional papers in which I only received 2 smartsource inserts. Guess I need to start waking up early!

      • Pattcoupons

you can order from koupon-kash . com.

    • Angie002

I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, GrabPenny.com

    • Rickoontz

Thank you very much to Kristi for taking the time to prepare the insert variation list for Greensboro NC!

    • Tfowl23

Do you have listings for Arkansas?

    • Lalakelley

I had the AJC, ABH and Gwinett Daily deliverd to my house and my inserts were diff from what you showed here. I swear I think no one ever gets the same thing lol

    • The AJC SS did not come with all of the coupons listed here, at least not in the 6 papers I bought. I am wondering if they were pulled? Wondering what happened?? Usually I have all of the coupons that are supposed to come.

      • crystal t

The AJC's that I purchased did not have the same coupons as listed here either. I don't think they were pulled they just were not there.

      • Pattcoupons

the AJC inserts from koupon-kash . com had all of the coupons listed here.

    • Jessicapatrick

I was reading what Missy posted for the Athens Banner Herald and I was surprised to see that she didn't get many of the coupons. I got the ABH from a gas station in Commerce and I had almost everything that was listed!

    • Candlequeen81

Question…next to some of the coupons listed in the Charlotte Observer it says DND5. I have never seen that before.  What does this mean?

      • Jaim'e

It means the coupon says DO NOT DOUBLE but starts with a 5 (which the register  at a store that doubles coupons may automatically double).

I absolutely love this website but I have a heard time relating to sales, inserts, etc. since I live in Colorado. Any ideas on sites that might help me in my area?

      • Lana

The closest site I know of nearer to you is little house living . com.  She is in S Dakota.  Maybe you could get another idea from one of her readers since she is closer to you.

      • Pattcoupons

koupon-kash . com has inserts from the Atlanta are and they ship everywhere.

    • Lana

Lately the Spartanburg Herald Journal has been having better coupons than the Greenville News.  I only found that out because the HJ is now cheaper thn the GN and I was too cheap to spend an extra quarter on each paper.  Better get our to get them early though as they have been selling out at my W'greens by about 9:30 AM.

    • KaylaC

I buy a Birmingham news, and my copy had the following coupons, which were in red on the list.
.75/1 General Mills FiberOne 80 cal cereal (exp 8/20) .50/1 General Mills Sweet ‘n Salty Chex mix, 4.5 oz + (exp 9/3) .50/1 General Mills Bugles corn snacks, 5 oz + $1/2 General Mills select cereal (exp 8/20) .50/1 Lucky Charms, Golden Grahams or Chex Mix or Milk ‘n Cereal bars (exp 9/3)

      Just wanted to share that.

      • maria

well, the Montgomery Advertiser is “right on”, most all is in RED and always is. I almost stopped couponing due to lack of inserts/coupons in the paper. I know use a website….. koupon-kash(dot)com….. and I get ALL the coupons that Jenny puts in the “Insert Preview” and sometimes more. They are cheaper than buying papers for me.     Koupon-kash(dot)com saved me for sure. I pre-order on Thursdays for what's coming in Sunday. It's just perfect. Check it out.

      • Mrsjsdugas

I don't know about the one birmingham news but the copy I buy in Opelika that I submit doesn't have them in red.

    • Meghan

The Hartwell copy of the Banner  Herald got different coupons than the Athens copy of the Banner Herald.

    • Lisa Jane Langley

      No The State? :(

      • Lisa Jane Langley

So, what is the best way to go about making the list for your inserts if the person that normally does it, didn't? LOL…I tried to do this one other time, and got severely overwhelmed. I give those ladies a WOOT WOOT for taking the time and figuring it out!

        • Copy and paste the coupon preview into an Excel spreadsheet with conditional formatting, or use a Google spreadsheet and change the text color according to the legend above.

    • Mel Gunter

I was noticed that for anyone that gets the Index-Journal in Greenwood, the Redplum insert is the same list as the Anderson and Greenville papers.

    • Sheila Sanders

I just noticed that only the Red Plum Insert coupons were listed for 07/10 in the Tennessean… The Smart Source Insert coupons for 07/10 in The Tennessean were not included in the list…are they going to be added later?

    • jennilen

Issues with the Tennessean.  Basically the same question as Sheila S, however, some of the coupons that are in red ARE in fact included and are in SmartSource.  So I'm really confused and a little worried.  I'm really bad about not going thru the inserts myself, so how many Qs have I missed before…  But I'm so very grateful for this and I will def do my part.

      • jennilen

just decided to go through and compare 7/17s insert to the list and it is the same deal.  I have all the red coupons as well.  Am I misunderstanding?
