Going Nuts? I can help you understand coupon terms and abbreviations

Here are the differences in the coupon inserts you received Sunday 7/24.

Click on the paper near you to see what coupons were actually in the inserts around the Southeast. Check out the differences to really get an idea of what paper is the best to buy.

A few ways to use these lists:

  1. If you see that you did not get a coupon that was released, you can go to online coupon sites and order it.
  2. Print the list for your area and keep it with your inserts to quickly know if you have that coupon.
  3. Use it as a way to decide what paper is the best paper in your area to buy.

A legend for the list:

Black = You got this coupon!
Red = Not in this insert

Blue = A change in value or a new coupon not in the preview.

      MO-Kansas City Star

      • Couponer

I guess you are asking for the variation for the KCR in MO? If so, someone from a particular area does these and sends them to Jenny.

    • Tubbsbaby

I just looked at the Miami herald. What about the PG?

    • Jen Dishman5

Any suggestions on good newspapers to get in the southern Indiana/Louisville, KY area??

    • Karmah60

For Virginia I've found that the Daily Press is the better buy for multiple copies.  VA Pilot doesn't carry RP here (only one copy is mailed), and it's 2.00 for the Sunday at 7-11.  Daily Press carries them both and it's 1.80.

      • BC

I live in Virginia Beach.  Does anyone know of a place in Virginia Beach, Norfolk or Chesapeake where I can get the Daily Press on Sundays?

        • liz

I'm in VB also and usually do the Post match ups (totally forgot this week oops!) you can get the DP at pretty much any 711… make sure you check it though because I've bought it and it had no coupons in it at all.  The Washington Post is really the best one though- it comes with all the inserts and theyre sealed in a plastic pack in the paper so its easy to tell if you have them in there.  The Richmond Times is also good too but I want to say it doesn't have the P and G.  I subscribe to the Pilot because of the pricing on it through subscription but always always pick up a Post in the morning.  Its so close to the preview posted here and the Pilot is always waaaaaaaaaaaaay off.  So long story short- 711.  Or maybe wawa but I've gotten the DP at 711 before

          • BC

Thanks liz, that is very helpful info.

          • Tracy Seate

Richmond Times does carry the P&G :)

I got the Hattiesburg Ameican and they were the same as Clarion Ledger, Red Plum only had L'Oreal coupons, SS had a couple of Colgate and some for pets and that was it.  It STINKS to say the least!!!  You can not do REAL couponing here.   I did coupon in Nashville, could get a paper for 99 cents  at Walgreens and the paper had coupons to match the adds that are run.  Here there is no Kroger, no Publix, all you have is CVS, Rite Aide and Walgreens and you have to print what you can to have coupons, and there are the limits when you only have 1 computer.  Would like to hear from others in Hattiesburg, MS.

    • Ehlendtj

We were in Rochester NY this past Sunday and picked up a couple of papers to see how their coupons compared to ours down here in AL.  The majority of theirs were better.  Most of our AL .50 coupons were 1.00 in the NY paper!!

    • ruthm

HUGE thanks to Kimberly for the b'ham news breakdown.  This helps so much when I'm frantically searching for a certain coupon.

    • Winchester VA gets the Washington post on Sunday with all our inserts..our Saturday usually has only 1 insert, its called the Winchester star

    • Wendy Agbay

I live in Columbus Georgia on Fort Benning. My paper is the Ledger Enquirer. I am always so disappointed when I get my paper because my coupons never match the sneak preview. I literally cut 5 coupons from both inserts last week. It was all ads! Thank goodness for printable otherwise I would never have any good coupons!

      • Mel

yes, the ledger enquirer sucks.  I moved to benning from tampa, fl and the coupon quantity and value from there to here are drastically different.   I ended up just getting a subscription to mycouponhunter . com.  she's pretty good, but doesn't have every coupon I want so I also have to buy some from ebay.

    • Brandidoyle44

Is there anyway to check the daily press here in hampton roads va? That's the bigger local paper. The va pilot isn't as big for coupons even though it is local

    • Tswanson2302

Does anyone ever have a problem with the coupon inserts in the Anderson Independent? I live in the Iva, SC area and none of the Anderson Independent papers at any of the local location ever have the coupon inserts. I've been purchasing the Greenville News. I know the cashiers dread me coming in on Sundays to get the paper because I open them up and check to make sure the coupons are there. I have bought them too many times only to go home and realize that I just wasted my money.

      • pinkladypj

I have trouble with the inserts in the Greenville News in the Greenwood, SC area.  I have come home many times and my inserts have been torn or missing.  I think it's getting worse as time goes on and people become more interested.

    • pinkladypj

I am willing to trade coupons with someone who doesn't need diaper/baby coupons.  I have 2 in diapers (one in diapers, one in pull-ups) and could really use the extra coupons.  I don't have any pets if someone wants to trade those.  Otherwise, contact me to negotiate a trade.  Email me at paulajust2003@yahoo.com.

      • Mihapuiu2011

        Hello pinklady ,
I am more then happy to send you the baby coupons , I don't have any pets . Please let me know how we can do this . My email is mihapuiu2011@yahoo.com

      • Stouders3

You can have all my baby coupons.  Just email me your address and I'll gather them up for you.  Do you also need formula coupons?  I'll put my return address on the envelope so if you think of anything you are getting rid of, send them over.  Dog coupons would be great.  stouders3@yahoo.com

    • ChrissyPunkin

Thank you, Michelle, as always!  However, the Montgomery Advertiser coupons were ABYSMAL this week.

      • Karen

I bought 6 papers from a street vendor (I normally buy from the same one) & my inserts did not have even half the coupons listed in this list! My neighbors were getting a newspaper & said they never had coupons in their Sunday paper. I did not want to get a subscription for 6 papers to find someone had possibly taken my inserts out. I am so confused on what to do about buying newspapers for inserts??????

        • Pattcoupons

You can buy Atlanta inserts from koupon-kash . com and you can order just what you want and you will know what you are getting.

          • Jessica D.

Thank you SO much for posting this site!! I'm checking it out now and the insert listings are actually better than the insert variations listed on this post! TY TY TY! :D

            • Jessica D.

Do you know how long it usually takes to get the inserts from the site?

    • Bcooper1998

i looked at the coupons that the post says should have been in the augusta chronicle for ga,and i didnt get most of them..is it only in some areas

    • Tasha

I get my coupons from The Commercial Appeal- Memphis, TN

    • Cavm110

I live in Aiken, SC, and I buy an Aiken Standard and The State. I noticed this week that not only were the inserts a little different, but the Kroger sales flyer as well. The Columbia area stores had better deals than our Aiken area stores! For example, the Aiken flyer said “buy 4 General Mills or Nature Valley products at $2.78 each and get 2 gallons of Kroger milk free.” The flyer in The State had the same ad but the deal was “buy GM or NV products 4/$10 and get 2 gallons of K milk free.” There were a number of other subtle differences as well.

    • Kathe1060

I live in Jefferson GA  and the coupons in the red plum insert are never what you seem to get. Someone posted a phone number to call to have them mailed to you. Does anyone have that number? I tried emailing them and asked for the inserts but they said I was out of the area.
