savings club membership

Last March, the Coupons.com Savings Club offered free membership for the first time.  If you signed up for this you will begin paying for the higher value coupons next month unless you cancel.

The Savings Club is $3 a month if you pay month or $30 for a year membership, which would be $2.50 per month. So, you really only need to print $2.50 worth of coupons monthly to make it worth the cost.

If you want to cancel, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on contact to send your cancellation request.

If you haven’t signed up yet, you can get a FREE 30 day trial.

I cannot seem to find the place to cancel. I scrolled all the way down on the page and have not found the cancellation request.

Where can I find out when I signed up? I am looking on my profile but I don’t see anything that says “member since ___”. I’m pretty sure I signed up in the fall with a promotion but I want to make sure. Thanks for any help ya’ll!

    • It is not easy to cancel. You have to log in then click on “Your Profile” then scroll about halfway down the page and you will see savings club. You should see a live help area just above it is a contact support button.

Thank-you I don’t think I would have figured it out on my own

I have to agree. After many attempts to locate the “Member Center ” to cancel my membership, I finally did the same thing you mentioned after some research online. Glad that is done with :0)

I’m getting a little peeved at Coupons dot com for the cancellation process. I got an email a few days ago saying it was about to charge my card and I finally read it the day it said it was charging it. I tried to cancel but couldn’t find where to do it so I contacted support two different ways. Sure enough, my card was charged yesterday and it’s one that I rarely use so it’s a bit annoying. So far I got a canned reply giving me “instructions” on how to cancel (useless) and then another automated reply.

I did finally get an email saying it was cancelled, but I had already been charged $3 – blech!

I don’t see anywhere that it shows you when your membership expired. Very poor and I don’t think it’s worth the money at all for me.

I purchased a discounted Groupon (I think) deal for a years membership…I could never get to anything that says it was activated…they have problems with their membership dealings!

    • Elizabeth

Just send them an email at SUPPORT@COUPONS.COM. They responded back to me right away.

    • You MUST cancel. I got an email a couple weeks ago saying my credit card on file had expired and I may experience a lapse in my membership benefits. I did NOT update my credit card information BECAUSE I did not wish to continue my membership. Apparently NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I received an email yesterday they had successfully charged my credit card and the next payment would be due in 30 days. I sent an email to support@coupons.com explaining my situation and felt it was tacky at best and illegal at worst to change my expiration date until they “found” the right one. They replied they cancelled my membership (as requested), however the charge was non-refundable. WOW, I hope that $3.00 was worth the bad report I plan to send to the Better Business Bureau. I also plan to report the charge to my credit card company to see if they can help.

Whenever I sign up for something like this, I print out all the cancelation instructions and the invoice with transaction and customer numbers, dates, and rules, and clip it to my calendar. That way, whether I decide to cancel or need to be aware of when my card will start getting charged, I have everything handy and clipped to the calendar as a reminder. Also, when I canceled this membership last week, I found it difficult to cancel in that the instructions I had printed out last year said to log in, blah, blah, blah, and then to click on a certain link. Before I ordered the membership last year, I clicked on that link and observed the cancellation process. However, that exact link no longer exists. So I simply sent them an e-mail and waited for their response. They cancelled my membership with no problem.

Same here, I can’t find where to cancel… I don’t remember when I signed up. I did send a e-mail to the Contact section.. But there is No Cancel my subscription section that I can find anywhere!

I’m posting to say I checked my e-mail after I posted this and that coupons.com did cancel my acct.

    • AllisoninFL

I can’t believe they don’t tell you WHEN your membership expires OR have a link to cancel your membership! Wow, that is really bad business IMO. Guess I have to sit here and wait for an operator to help me.

I had signed up a year ago with a pre-paid American Express card… which is now empty. :P Let ’em just try and charge me.

I was able to cancel my membership by doing the live chat. I was informed that my membership expired today and I told them to cancel it. They did and I received an email confirmation that it was done. Some how I didn’t see the email that they sent to me this morning stating that my credit card was no longer valid and that I needed to give them another one in order to renew my membership. I hope this helps!

    • is it worth $30 a year to sign up? are the deals really good? ive never even heard of this.

      • tori729

No, I don’t think it’s worth it at all. In the year I had the free membership I printed maybe $10 worth of coupons, MAYBE. Most of the time they were out of prints or I could get ones just as good elsewhere.

    • Polly

Thank you so much for the reminder. I had forgotten all about it because I’ve only printed from there once in the past year. Your the greatest!!!!!! :)

    • jfmiller82

Thanks for the reminder. I have no idea when i signed up. couldn’t find anywhere on the website that told me and no directions on how to cancel it. I emailed them and hope to hear back soon.

I have tried multiple times to cancel this membership. Even though I did not update my credit info, they still billed me. I will NEVER sign up for any membership like this again.
