Wisk q’s in last Sundays paper were $2/1

    • Cynthia

How or where do you get the Publix yellow advantage flyer and summer coupons? Thanks for the help.

      • me

Ask for it at the customer service desk.

      • Susie

If you have a Publix nearby, they are located in the front of the store close to the customer service desk. My closest Publix is an hour away, so I rely on the Sunday Atlanta Journal for mine. Hope that helps:)

      • The Sunday Paper or in the front of the store at Publix :)

      • Judi

I have to ask for the coupons at the service desk and they will give them to me.  They used to be sitting out, but not anymore, have to ask for them.

    • Rebeccaatkinson35

There was a coupon for -$1 off Smithfield bacon in the Sunday paper. Makes it $1.24.

      • Rebeccaatkinson35

        Correction – $2.24

      •  Hey there,
Thanks for the heads up! I updated the list.

    • Shopaholic_704

      Nothing much this week!  :(

    • VickienNC

Are the Palermo’s Pizza coupons already gone, or am I just missing them?

      • Barbara

        I can’t find them either! :(

        • Barbara

Just got the coupon to print through the first link listed. It didn’t work when I tried to click the link on my shopping list, but when I went back and tried again on the main list it worked. Still never found it on coupons dot com.

    • ItaRay

How do I print the q’s from commonkindness.com!?!?!?!?

      • Lauranmitchell

You have to register, or the check marks on the clipped coupons will disappear!

Within the last few weeks I have bought two products at bilo that were expired. The first product I never noticed till I had it at home and already devoured part of the box.The next product I saw at the store and since it was the last one there I decided to take it anyway because I was desperate and not worried that it would hurt us :)  Hubby thought I should have said something about the products. What is the right response in a situation like this? I am not saying this to bring any bad comments about bilo because I love bilo! Just thinkin I may actually say something about the expired products next time ;)

      • Smit19

I would say something. Just yesterday, I had to bring back an expired product (refrigerated ravioli) to Publix. I didn’t notice until I was about to cook them. I took it back, packages open, and they gave me a refund no problem! I don’t know about BiLo’s customer service….I am most regularly a Publix shopper, but give it a try! I am sure they would want to know about expired products on the shelf!

      • CouponKing

I see expired items in the store at Camfield Corners almost every time I go on there.

I see expired items in the store at Camfield Corners almost every time I go on there.

      • Ucmba97

I usually mention it in my online survey found at the bottom of the receipt.  I will also bring an expired product up to the front of the store and pass it to the manager while I check out.  He usually markes it with a sharpie, and has someone carry it to the back.  If I ever get one home, and do bring it back, they happily refund my money.  But i know now to chekc everything.  Teens are usually stocking shelves and although policy says they are to move oldest to the front and put newer product behind, they don’t.

I had a similar problem. I bought dog treats and had started giving them to my dogs. My daughter noticed that it had mold growing inside of the bag. This happened in 2012 and it expired in 2007. I was furious they would even still have it on the self. I called and told them and they said I could get a refund, but I didn’t bother. I threw them in the trash.

I’ve also spotted expired products at my bilo. I was actually really disappointed last week because the lactose free yogurt that was on sale was all expired at my store. I just mentioned it to the cashier when I was checking out and I heard her pass the info on to someone who headed back that way. I meant to get a raincheck but forgot :( I’m glad it seemed like they were at least going to take it off the shelf, but it’d be nice to not have to worry about buying expired food.

When my child was a baby,  I purchased a can of formula at a Winn-Dixie, it was the ready mixed kind and it was expired by a long shot.  I am so thankful I noticed that before feeding it to my babyl.  I took it back.

I would tell the manager. In addition on the bottom of the receipt you can take an online survey. Once submitted there is a link to print a coupon for a free item as a thank you for your time. This month it is southern home tissues, last month it was hand sanitzer. It changes every few weeks but is always for a free item.

        • Mcclellanda79

It is not such a good idea to tell management. They will refuse to sell the product if you mention it to them. One time, Bi-lo had a bogo sell on Barber chicken cordon bleu. I had a $1q that would have made them about $2.50 per 2 packs. I had to reach way in the back to get the last 4. As I pulled them out, the expiration date was in plain view (expired 2 Weeks prior). I figured it was no big deal since it was a frozen food item. Anyways, I mentioned it to the store manager thinking they might make the deal even better by putting some discount stickers on them, like they do for the damaged items. Anyways, she refused to let me purchase any of them. Had to leave with a raincheck.

I’ve bought expired or almost-expired stuff there before, but it’s because it’s marked down/discounted some way.

    • Sg

I have also had that problem at Bi-lo and have started paying attention to the expiration dates.  However, that has also happened to me at Kroger and Publix.  So I just look at the expiration dates which ever store I happen to be at.  I do wonder why they don’t pay more attention to their products.

      • Judi

My second favorite line is, “check the expiration date”.  My first favorite line is “wait I have a coupon for that”.

Is the create shopping list with match-ups not working for anyone else?

      • Ahughey64

I am not able to get the create shopping list to work.

There was a coupon in RP 5/13 for 1.00/4 cans of Del Monte Pineapple. It will make it 1.96 (.49 each) with the e-coupon.

I went to Bilo to buy fresh packed fish for supper .It was June 11 and all packages were marked June 12th . I was a little hesitant about buying it that close to the date. I asked the meat manager if he had others in the back. He said no. I said well I will buy it  anyway. He also volunteered this information. …. That all those packages of fish would  be thrown away. He said that they are not allowed to mark any fish or seafood down. There must have been 20 to 30 packages of fish there. Does it upset any one else  that these stores consistently throw away  food without even trying to mark it down to get rid of it? Personally I am sick of hearing about how much Bilo and other chains give to charities yet throw away so much. Just think about how much energy, oil , petroleum etc, is also wasted to catch, process ,ship, etc. all this  food.  I  hear some people use the argument about liability, but that doesnt cut it with me because they mark down bent canned goods which is a liability.  Can we do anything about it?

      • Thom

joette, I’m afraid the meat guy told you a “not true”. I have purchased sea food that has been marked down. I smell it and look at it to ensure it has not yet turned. We cooked it and ate a lovely catfish meal.

      • Mychelboo

I worked in the bakery at Ingles and our manager gave a local charity our throwaways twice a month (maybe 6 days worth). The store manager knew but it was on the downlow. Unfortunately, most of that was things like cookies, cakes etc., not very nutritional. It is upsetting how much gets thrown away. They didn’t mark down either. Seems like they could donate it with a signed agreement that the store would not be held liable.

        • joette

Thank you for your comment. Essentially it would be as easy as a signed piece of paper. Also, the store could put up signage in front of the mark downs. Our local PIggly Wiggly marks down meat and has a huge sign that says Cook or use Today!!! They have the right idea

      • Judi

I find it very sad too.  Stores throw away enough food to fill food banks.  Why can’t they sign a paper..  Its sad, people don’t have anything to eat, and so much is thrown away.  I try to not waste any food.

No matter what store I am shopping at, I make sure to check all expiration dates on all the products before purchasing.  I have found expired or about to expire products at several different chains.

How do I print the q’s from commonkindness.com?!

      • Choose your coupons, click “clip”… a bar pops up at the bottom of your screen that says Click here to print. Once you click that a new window will open with your coupon displayed (mine said SAMPLE across it but it prints out fine.) Hope that helped. :-)
