I don’t understand how the sodas can be the price u state when it sez limit one

      • Laura

It’s Limit1 dea….per card, not one soda per card.

        • Laura

Sorry for the horrible typing…the Southern Savers logo was over the box I was trying to type in, so I couldn’t see what I was typing.

          • Judi

I wish Jenny would just remove that green box,  It blocks me alot.

It’s Limit1 dea….per card, not one soda per card.

      • Lisa

That means limit 1 deal, so you only get the ECBs once, whether you buy 4, 8, or more.

      • Birmingham_4

        limit 1 ecb

    • GreenvilleCouponer

Hmm, it seems the ad on the CVS website for my area (Greenville, SC) is a LOT different than what’s listed here.  For starters ours is only a 4-day sale!

      • Alwaysaving

So is our in the Washington DC area. No $1.88 General mills, $0.66 Gold emblem candy and much more. Will do the best with what we are offered. Looks like CVS is doing regional ads.

      • angelareid821

I know. Where is the P&G promo? I so want to stock up on PT and TP!

      • This week there appear to be regional differences in almost every city, so you will see differences this week. Hopefully things will go back to normal soon!

    • Zeb

scanned my card at the coupon machine and got $4 off any $20 beauty items for beauty club members.  Lots of good possibilities with that one.  I used it with my John Frieda coupon for free foam hair color that came in the mail ($12) and I got a gloss treatment for $8 (my paper didn’t have any coupons for john frieda so I didnt use a manu Q for that)  So I ended up paying $4 and got back $5 ecb.  Yay!

      • Bryarsmom

That is a great use for the JF Q!
I have 2 to use, but may instead redeem mine @ Publix, working a few $30 deals with my Publix $5/30 Q’s we received here in Atlanta.

    • I don’t see how you can use all the coupons for the sodas and get them at that price. Our stores will only let us use one store coupon and one mfc

      • lucky1

You buy 4 12 packs, use 4 coupons (1 for each 12 pack) and get $5ecb

        $3.75×4= $15
        $15-$4 (4 $1 coupon)= 11
once you factor in the $5 ECB you get back $11-$5= $6

which comes to $1.50 each 12pack

    • HeatherM221

I got a $3/$10 CVS brands from the red box so that will work nicely with some deals, B1G1 bodywashes or the $2ECB WYB $7 in CVS bandages, etc.  Plus I got a BioTrue solution $2 from the redbox so that is good too!

    • HeatherM221

I noticed that there is a deal for $5 ECB WYB $15 in snacks and it has Pepsi listed.  Can we double dip on those as it also has the $5 ECB WYB (4) Pepsi products?

      • Soberkitty

I’m really not sure about that, but my suggestion would be if you’re planning on doing both of the deals anyway, then I say go for it and let the rest of us know how it turns out!

      • Soberkitty

        • HeatherM221

I definitely will! We aren’t huge Pepsi drinkers but for that price and ECB’s we will suffice….just add rum I guess ;)

      • VP22

You might wanna check your ad to be sure. My local ad does not have the Pepsi with buy 4/$15 get 5ECBs. Ours are just on sale 2/$5

        • HeatherM221

I will be checking because I saw somewhere else in the comments, someone said this ad was very different than what their are getting in SC?

        • Thriftyjules

But 2/$5 ends up being the same price as the deal Jenny posted with the ECB once you use the $1 off coupon. I prefer the 2/$5 deal!

    • Sonii

Do you think $29.25 activate the $10 ecb for the P&G deal?

      • Mik87

I think it has to be at least $29.40

        • Sonii

Thank you :) I appreciate it

        • Crystalabennett

Is that before or after coupons?

      • Mik87

I think it has to be at least $29.40

CVS sent an email today with a coupon for $1.88 on M&Ms (9.9-15.4 size) for Friday 6/15 only…  also got a coupon yesterday for 30 percent off regular priced items good through 6/17…  love CVS!!!!

    • Susan

I’ve looked at next week’s ad on iheartcvs but don’t see where you can get $2 for buying Gillette shave cream or cartridges.  Does anyone know where this is in the ad?  I only see Gillette b1g1 50% off.

      • ScubagirlKim

The picture actually has Venus razors on it on the top left of the page.

        • Susan

Thanks, but my upcoming ad must be different.  On the top left of the razors page (pg 12), my ad shows a special box with ad for $3 ecbs when you buy toothbrushes.  Oh, well!

          • ScubagirlKim

Ads are regional. I’m in fl. Mine is on page 2.

    • JenneyG

I just looked up my up coming ad and it’s rather different. I don’t have the Pepsi deal, no Tom’s, no PG promo, no electro nyte.etc.What’s going on…

Check out the diapers if you need them- last week CVS brand 25% off, now 50% off at my store.  Got a box (size 4, 62 count) for $7.99, they had the jumbo packs for $4.44.  They also had wipes on clearance but I stocked up weeks ago when they were 74 cents a pack so I didn’t pay attention to the price this time.

      • Anna

Got some diapers today! Also printed a coupon from the awesome red box that was $3 off $10 CVS brand purchase to use with this!

      • Justalaina

Sorry to say that I bought a bunch on clearance for a $1.50 a pack and they leak badly.  I was very disappointed. :(

        • Stacyannw

i know that i got the BASIC diapers which were cvs brand about 6 or7 months ago when they were about that price and they were not the best, but the cvs diapers that are on clearence now seemed better to me when i used them before.  They are atleast good when you have a daycare kid and they change them every hr to 2hrs

          • Stacyannw

also i saw the huggies jean diapers on clearance for 5.99 a pack

    • Sandra

The manager in my Knoxville store said the ad this week will be different in each area.  They are test marketing different types of ads

      • Honeysmith

I was wondering about why some things on her list aren’t deals when I get to my store in Knoxville, too. Thought I was losing my mind:)Thanks for the info!

    • Sandra

The manager in my Knoxville store said the ad this week will be different in each area.  They are test marketing different types of ads

    • HeatherM221

How are you all finding out your local ads?

      • Mallen

c v s. com.  “Weekly store ad” is located at the top right side.  Change the area code to reflect your preferred cvs store.

    • HeatherM221

I guess what I meant to ask a minute ago was how is everyone finding their UPCOMING/PREVIEW ad for their store?

      • Jennydh

On cvs/com under the see weekly ad select see upcoming week’s ad and enter your zip code for your area.

      • Mallen

Same place, it will show the current ad and the upcoming week (beginning on the Thursday before).  It seems in the last few minutes the whole site is “temporarily unavailable.”  The did start to have a bit of a different look.  They must be doing some updates.

      • ScubagirlKim

You can also look at Iheartcvs dot com, they post the ads 2 or 3 weeks ahead of time. This sight is way better but I do like to get a sneak peek at the upcoming ads so I can print any coupons needed for freebies.

    • Stephanie

      Woo hoo!

    • Ktavolley03

The front of our ad lists 3 coupons you will get on Thurs/Fri/Sat of next week- Saturday is $2 off a toothpaste.  Crest is 2.49 with 1.50 ECB, so good to know to wait til Saturday and not reach my limit before! MM!

      • JenneyG

You have the same 4 day sale ad as I do, but it is a lot shorter than Jenny’s ad listed.

      • Mcleodsc

Look on the front page of your ad-mine says sales are Sunday thru Wednesday.

    • Beautifulb83

website will not let me print soda coupons. i selected them, but when i go to print it says to add something to my cart first. any ideas?

      • anna

I had to sign up and then verify my email and then I could print the coupons.

        • Tangela

anna – were you only able to print one of each of the pepsi coupons or could you do multiple?  If so, how?

    • Leah S.

Our ad in Central Florida is different, too.  No $1.88 cereal…it’s 3 for $10, get $3.00 ECB….not as good, not worth the trip.

      • ireneY

Noticed the CVS cereal boxes are much smaller than grocery stores. Not a great deal unless there’s high value Qs and/or ECB offer.

    • Clara

Has anyone used the pepsi printable coupon before? It looks a little different and some cashier’s are weirded out by those types of coupons. Especially printable ones. Thanks for you help!

      • have used them plenty of times, they scan fine and my CVS’s here are AWESOME in New Hampshire

      • NIKKI

I HAVE USED THEM AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM:)

      • I used them at CVS with no issues!

      • Love2Save

I’ve used them twice now and haven’t had a problem!

    • Mcclellanda79

I have a question about next weeks sale. CVS is offering $10 gas cards when $30 worth of certain products are purchased. There is a limit of 5 per person. Can I do multiples of this deal in one transaction and get all gift cards at the end or do I need to devise a way to do multiple $30 transactions until my limit is reached.

      • Sheila_P

If you buy $90 worth in one transaction, you will get $30 worth of gift cards.  You don’t have to split up your transactions.  A $30 coupon will print at the end of your receipt that says that you can redeem it for gas cards.  HTHs.

        • Mcclellanda79

Thanks. That makes my planning much easier.

Is everything on the list a deal worth buying, and the acorns are really super deals, or are only the acorns worth buying and the rest of the list is really just if you need a particular item?

      • Sheila_P

This is a complete list of everything that is in the ad.  The acorns represent the deals that might be worth buying.

        • Megan

Okay, that’s what I thought.  It just seemed like most weeks there weren’t many acorns, but then it didn’t seem like a long enough list to cover everything in the ad, so I thought maybe I was missing something.  Thanks!

        • Megan

Oh, I remember what else I was confused about.  It seems like a lot of the “Deal Ideas” are for things that aren’t acorn-ed.  So are those really just relevant if you happen to need that item right away?

          • ireneY

Or you have extra bucks expiring!

    • Jkdeal74

Does anyone know if they really are going to run the P&G deal?  Im desperate for diapers.  I checked the upcoming ads for NC, Columbia,SC (29203 zip), & Myrtle Beach.  All the ads were identical & none of them had a P&G deal or a last page (meaning there should be a pg 16 like normal but only 15 were viewable.)  Is it possbile theya re going to offer the deal but it is listed on the last pg so thats why we cant find it?  Thx for any info.

    • Sheila_P

@Jkdeal74 I just checked my ad and the P&G deal was on the front page.  It may end up being an unadvertised deal in your store though.  Also, check out the CVS Supreme brand diapers.  They are actually not that bad and they are on clearance from anywhere between 25% – 75% off depending on how caught up your store is on clearancing items.  If there is no tag, do a price check at the scanner. All the stores around me were wiped out except for one where there were no clearance tags and I bought box of size 4 for $8.14 to tide me over until the Pampers deal.

    • Allisonhenry87

maybe i’m just crazy, but did anyone else notice a change in the upcoming ad today?  I looked at it yesterday and the Pepsi 4/$15 with a 5 ECB was showing on the front page and there were 16 pages total…now today, a different page one and no page 16?!?  what happened lol

      • I’m in SC, and I don’t gave the 4/$15 either nor the ECB Jenny lists above. All I have is 2/$5 with a limit of 4.

        • Emily

I went in this morning and was disappointed to see that Pepsi was 2/$5 rather than the ECB deal but ended up just as good…I bought 4 12 pks, and used two $1 off coupons (no Pepsi Next at my store). Total was $8 and I just kept my ECBs from last week…I figured that wasn’t bad!

      • This week there appear to be regional differences in almost every city, so you will see differences this week. Hopefully things will go back to normal soon!

    • Sherri

Jenny – yesterday and today on 2 different computers I could not get the list on right side that shows what the specials are for today and previous days to go to previous page when you click next. Is something wrong?

      • mrn1

It’s been squirrelly for a while.  If you will go back to the original home page by clicking the Southern Savers logo at the top after each thing you look at on the original page/list, you will then be able to use the next button.  HTH!

    • Zeb

oh wow, cvs changed their website layout so much.   Not loving the change…

      • Jordynsmommy

        ME EITHER!!! YUCK!

      • mom of 3

Their android smartphone app is currently not working well either. Keeps saying page is only for html viewing.

    • Etrinidad

Where do u get the ” over $22 in coupons booklet”?

      • ireneY

Mine were in a big pack of Bounty marked with advertising on the outside.

          Was that at CVS?

          • ireneY

Sorry, can’t remember. The package has been in my closet for almost a year.

    • Etrinidad

Where do u get the ” over $22 in coupons booklet”?

    • Rhonda

      Jenny
I love your site and thank so much for all you do.
I have a questions about the cvs add I live in ohio and the add isn’t showing the aussie and pantene in the add for the 10 ecb, do you think this will be included or is it regional only?

      • Susan

If it’s not in your ad, it’s a regional deal that wouldn’t be available to you.

      • Soberkitty

Check the company website and put in your local area. I think they are all regional this week. Little differences here and there.

I took advantage of the $4/$20 beauty purchase store coupon to get a curling iron I had been needing.  I got a surprise when an additional $3 ECBs printed at the end of my receipt.  There wasn’t any signs up advertising this in my store.  Turns out it is a month long deal (according to iheartcvs dot com.)

    • momto2

I noticed at my CVS yesterday they had a lot of shampoos like Pantene and Herbal Essence on clearance. Made for free or nearly free shampoo when paired with man Qs.

    • mrn1

Aussie, Herbal Essences, Pantene listed above in P&G deal not shown nor listed in my local ad.  Wonder if this is a regional thing or if there are inclusions not in the ad like there were with the Schick deal?

      • Soberkitty

Look up on the store website and click on local weekly ad. Mine is different in my area also. The VO5 is .79 instead of .66!

      • This week there appear to be regional differences in almost every city, so you will see differences this week. Hopefully things will go back to normal soon!

    • Sylvia1120

The almay coupon says Walgreens on it. Can it be used at CVS?

      • Soberkitty

Yes as long as it doesn’t say only at and the name of a store on it. Otherwise it’s basically just advertising on a coupon!

      • VP22

You “should” be able to use but some stores can be really funky about it. Just depends on your store and cashier.

I am in Georgia and CVS has a sale (6/17-6/23) on Allegra 30ct for $19.49 and if you do a Database search there is a printable coupon for $5.00 off.

      • Miranda

            I don’t have a Harris Teeter :(

            • Soberkitty

I know Miranda i don’t either. We miss ours! They’ve been gone for about 10 years now from the Atlanta area. They got bought out by Kroger down here! :-(

They also have a $1 off 2 evic coupon…so it makes them both free.

Please HELP!!  tomorrow CVS will have on sale Suave Body Lotion B1G1 half off and I have 2 B1G1 Free coupons, how will this turn out?  And what do I do, I am new.

      • Soberkitty

you can use one b1g1 coupon with each pair making them both free! Good spot! if you don’t need all of them please donate to charity!

        • Miranda

Ohh I will, but I called CVS and she told me I have to buy 4 to use my 2 coupons and the total price will be 3.49

          • Miranda

Sobberkitty, I am new to this, so if you have time to chat, you can find me on FB Miranda Gerholt.  I am in Carrollton and I have no clue what sales to use on here.

        • Musiclady0110

if the coupon is b1g1 1/2 off…..would she not pay 1/2 on the 2nd and get the 3rd one free???

          • Miranda

Sale is B1G1 1/2 off and I have B1G1 FREE coupon, CVS lady told me that the Free part of the coupon will come off the full price bottle and I will owe the 1/2 off price.

            • Musiclady0110

oooohhhh…sorry read ur post wrong…thought it said b2g1…lol!!!

            • mrn1

It depends on your cashier  completely!  At the store I shop, all cashiers say CVS corporate has told them to only give the 50% item for free with the B1G1 coupon, leaving the full price item to pay for.  I have tried to explain that the coupon doesn’t say of equal or lesser value so there is no reason not to give the full price for free, leaving the 1/2 price item to pay for, but they say corporate has told them to do it this way.  It all will depend on your cashier.  Unfortunately, at my store the cashiers and the mgrs have the fear of losing their jobs…the manager last week said “i am not losing my job over coupons.”

        • Soberkitty

Sorry read it wrong thought the sale was b1g1 free with a b1g1 coupon! So it’ll be 1/2 off the second one.

    • Kelly V.

Ok, if I have a $10 ECB from this week’s P&G promo, can I use it to pay for next week’s P&G promo and still get another $10 ECB?  It looks like my region is running it 2 weeks in a row which is kind of weird.  I don’t go to CVS much so I wondered if you could roll it.  I know Walgreen’s won’t let you.

      • Ann S

That’s the great thing about CVS, you can roll whatever you want and don’t have to worry about brands like at Walgreens.

        • Kelly V.

          Thanks so much!

    • Deshisk8chick

Jenny the gain dish liquid is $.88 not $.99

      • ahlers0514

Not in all regions..best to check your areas ad online. My stores will not even have a p&g sale this week!

      • Rubies20

Mine is 88 and another store bout 15 min away is 99

    • Mchspk

My CVS in Holly Springs Ga. does not have the Sunkist on sale and you do not get any extra care bucks.
On the Loreal, you are suppose to get bucks for each, if you spend $15.00 in cosmetics you get 5 ECB, when you buy 2 hair color you get another 5ECB, not in Holly Springs, only one or the other. A big disappointment :(

      • Couponer

The ads this week are very regional.  Before shopping, check the CVS website for the weekly ad or check the ad in tomorrow’s paper.  There are MANY versions of the ad and MANY differences.  Folks should not count on Jenny’s List/Scenarios or they may get a rude awakening in the store and find themselves spending much more than they anticipated.

    • LuvCpns

Does anyone see the $1 ECB deal for  Tom’s of Maine products in their ad. My Charlotte NC ad doesn’t show it and I even looked using the show all ECB’s for the week and it didn’t show. Just wondering if t’s regional and not in my region or it’s a mistake on the list. I see where Walgreens is having a RR deal.

      • C~~

It could be regional — it is listed in our ad on page 6 along with some other Oral Care Products, (Southwest Region – TX).

      • Lovedeals2

I am in Cola SC no Tom’s deal

      • Cbcalhoun

I tried to pull up the CVS coupon policy but it is not available. Is there another place I can read it? I  need to see if there is clarification on a B1G1 coupon. Jenny shows using a Q in addition to a B1G1 Q. In other words, an additional savings on the one you “buy”. Is this up to individual store interpretation or is it spelled out in the coupon policy?

Today at CVS I bought the Venus razor cartridges and razor. I tried to use the Buy cartridges get razor free Q and the $2 off Venus cartridges. The cashier (who is not very coupon friendly) said I couldn’t use the $2. She said the B1G1 Q attached to both items, therefore another mft. Q couldn’t be used.

Would like to know from a CVS employee what the policy states. Thanks so much for your help.

      • Ktavolley03

i used those same coupons and they scanned fine without any problems, the cashier didnt say anything- i also used the $10/30 with this

      • mrn1

I tried those same coupons, the cashier didn’t mind trying at all.  It has something to do with the way the B1G1 coupon is coded from the manufacturer.  Some of the P&G coupons (and others) are coded such that another coupon cannot be used with a B1G1 coupon.  The register beeped when she tried to scan the $2 coupon.  I have used many B1G1 coupons with $ off coupons at CVS before without problems, these are just coded differently.  If it works for some, it is probably because the cashier just pushed it through.  Some will definitely do that.  Unfortunately the cashier that works Sunday am at my store won’t.

      • april

Yeah same here I have tried to use coupons for the free items using b1g1 on several occasion and at 3 different cvs. None of them ever go through. The cashier were nice they tried different ways but they always beep. I’m in Florida. I want to know they policy too.

    • Amantebee

The General Mills Cereal is not $1.88 here in Northern Virginia.  It is 3 for $10.00 and you get a $3.00 ECB back.  The $1.25 with 2 box purchase printed coupon does not work at the store.  But you can still use the manufacturer coupons on it and get a great deal.

      • laura

I just noticed that …I’m not at all a fan of this! May have to boycott!

        • laura

          sorry wrong post

      • It’s the same here in Central Florida.  3 for 10 with 3 ECB back.

I was in a hurry, had both my kids with me who were generally being rowdy, and got an important phone call that I could not ignore in the middle of checking out.  Imagine my surprise when what I thought was going to amount to a $2 OOP transaction (after all my other merchandise, q’s, and ECB’s) rang up $13!!!  I asked the cashier to remove the cereal from my order and he huffed and puffed and said he had to void the entire transaction and re-ring it, but he took care of it.  Geeez, what a shopping trip lol.  It was my fault for not re-checking the price of the cereal (and for being on the phone and even bring my rowdy kids to the store lol) but dang I hate when cashiers act like it is going to kill them to scan something again and fix an error (theirs or mine, either way).

Oh, side note: I got Gillette Venus 6 ct razor cartridge refills for $1.49!!!  I think these are normally around $23!  Don’t know why they were marked down so low, but it makes up for the rude cashier.

    • laura

If you’re wanting to do the Colgate toothpaste deal I’d wait until the 23rd. Our ad (Summerville SC) says Sat the 23rd there will be a $2 off any toothpaste coupon from the Red Machine. If you buys two toothpastes, use that coupon and 2 .75 cents off it’s a money maker!
2.49+2.49=4.98-2.00-1.50=1.48 and you get $3 in ECB back! The toothpaste coupons from the paper actually expire on the 23rd, so it works!

      • Sandra

Problem is…..the toothpaste may  NOT be on sale by Thursday.  The sale ad says ends Wed…JUST NOT SURE

        • laura

I just noticed that …I’m not at all a fan of this! May have to boycott!

          • lol boycott, really for a one week TEST of your city?? seems a bit extreme…………besides CVS is the only good drug store left for us couponers

            • laura

Not really since the only thing I was going for was the toothpaste. I just meant going to pass for this week but I’m def not a fan of the different regional ads. But I agree I only go to CVS now where I used to go to CVS and Wags (they are right across the st from each other).

        • Paris1121

Alabama ad is 17th-23rd. No Tom’s products at all.

      • Alvitao

I called both of our stores in Columbia Tn area. They said the ad sales ended on Wed. The only deals on Thur- Sat are listed at the bottom of your ad. I’m dissapointed.

    • sissy

I thought the CVS ad was national?? When did they start to make so many regional differences?
Anyone know how many different regional differences? Each state? city?

      • Sandra

I went on their website and started putting different zip codes in to see the differences in the ad…IT IS STUPID

      • VP22

I think they are doing that test market thing again this week. We were part of it a little while back and it sucked but thankfully it was only for one week.

    • Rowdy117

Can the ads very so much as the P&G items eligible for the 10off30 be different?  I don’t see pampers listed here in Atlanta.

      • Sandra

And the Pantene is NOT included in the deal in Knoxville

      • Couponer

Yes, the ads vary greatly this week.  Without blogs and advanced ads being posted, folks really wouldn’t have noticed.  But with some ads and ad listings being posted, it’s a very confusing week since many folks are relying upon blog info.  Best advice:  Check your own ad (online or in print) for actual deals in your area and check them twice.  Don’t get burned in the store thinking an item is on sale or has an ECB deal.

      •  Yes, unfortunately it may work out that way this week. Things are very regional, but hopefully it will go back to normal soon!

    • Kjshea

At my CVS in Madison, AL all of the CVS brand diapers are 50% off.  The coupon machine was also printing out a coupon for $3 off a $10 CVS brand purchase.

What is up with the CVS ad this week? It says valid Sunday thru Wednesday? Will we get a new ad for Thursday thru Saturday?

      • Mcleodsc

called the manager to get some info: we are in a test market, the sales are good from sun thru wed only. NO new ad on Thur thru sat -you can scan your card for coupons.  I think they are going to have a very slow week on Thur thru Sat. I bought a few items today and plan on buying a couple more things later today. I may go in on Fri for the $5/15 coupon to use with some rainchecks.

        • Sandra

How do you get the $5/15 coupon?

          • Mcleodsc

Went to CVS yesterday to get a few things and noticed that the Huggies Little Movers jumbo pack limited edition “Jeans” diapers were on sale 50% off so I bought 1 pack and then went back this morning and got more with the 2.00 off coupon from today’s paper and paid 3.99 a pack (reg 11.99).  It was weird though because when I went this morning they had taken down the 50% off sign and had a sale sign for 9.99 up instead-but when I scanned them it still came up 5.99.  There are still several left at my store is sizes 3, 4, and 5.

    • twlady

I didn’t see this in the ad.  When I was in the store earlier, didn’t see the sign on the shelf either.

$1 ECB WYB Tom’s of Maine Toothpaste or Deodorant, $3.19, limit 2

      • VP22

I think it’s regional. I’m in Birmingham and it was not in my ad or in my store.

    • Emily

Heads up…today when I went I got several coupons attached to my receipt…including $3 off any Almay purchase and $4/20 Beauty purchase. I plan to do both the Almay and Revlon deal in one transaction, using those coupons as well as the $1 off Almay coupons, and $8 ECBs that I have. In the end I shouldn’t pay much over $5, and I’ll get $8 back. For anybody who wasn’t planning on those deals (like me), it may be worth it if you get these coupons on your receipt too!

    • Mary Laura

WOO HOO! Here’s the deal (really a STEAL) I got today! Went to my parents house for Faher’s Day lunch and cut the Tom of Maine’s coups out of their insert (I usually get my coupons online). Went to the CVA near their house and got Tom of Maine’s Deodorant and toothpaste for $3.19 each then had $2.50 off the Deo and $1 off the tp. Also got the Electro Nyte drinks for $4.79 but used $2 ECB I had left over. The total after coupons plus tax was $6.23- And I got $6.79 in ECB back!

Then went to the CVS near my house and got the Schick Hydro Silk which was $13.99 but on sale for $8.99. Used a $4 off coupon, plus the $4.79 ECB from the Electro Nyte and wound up owing .65!! AND got $3 more ECB back from that!!! The cashier about plotzed!

So out of pocket paid $6.88, but got $5 back. It’s pretty much like getting each item for .47! YAY!!

Thanks and blessings Jenny for the tips!!

    • KEB2009

not quite sure about the pampers being in the SC ad. im in the upstate and pampers are no where to be found in the $30 deal

    • mrn1

I noticed something new today after shopping when I looked at my receipt.  Usually if a deal has a limit of 1, your receipt will say limit reached and sometimes it is possible to do more than 1 deal and the receipt will say amount toward this reward $x, amount needed to earn reward  $x.  In the past, for instance with the Dove deal, when I bought $17.50 and only $15 was required for the 1st ECB, the other $2.50 would come off where it says amount needed for reward and it would say $12.50.  (Confusied yet?)  Well, today I spent $17.50 and it doesn’t say limit reached, but does say amount needed to earn reward $15.  The whole ExtraCare Card portion of CVS dot com is different today too.  I know the new Summer earning period started 6/16.  I wonder if they have made even more changes we have yet to learn about?  I know I shouldn’t complaint if it is possible to do an extra deal than they have advertised, I just wish my $2.50 would have carried over to the naxt deal like it used to.  The same thing with my Revlon deal, I spent $10.99 and it says I can do another deal, but didn’t credit it me for my extra 99 cents like it has in the past.

      • VP22

Check again in a day or two. I did the $10 Revlon, spent $10.80 and that day my receipt said Revlon $10.80 amount to earn reward $10. I went to pick up something a few days later and the receipt said amount to earn reward $9.20 so maybe it’s like the beauty club stuff where it takes time to fully process.

        • Danidstar

I agree I have had that happen when I know I have spend money towards my beauty reward and it takes several days to show up on the balance on my receipt or EC balance online.

      • Mandyward67

yes….check back later. it will change on your reciept..

    • CarolinaGirlTiss

Just FYI the Pepsi coupons work on any kind of Pepsi product. We found this out because our cashier rang our Mountain Dew up four times and we had a Pepsi Max, Diet Mountain Dew, and a Diet Pepsi coupon so I was worried it wouldn’t take the $1 off but it did.

      • TEXAS99

Please do not use coupons on the wrong item.  This is coupon fraud.

        • HeatherM221

I don’t understand how this is coupon fraud? She didn’t photoshop or alter a coupon.  Her store decided to accept the coupon she presented for the items.  The store had every right to say, “Sorry this coupon is ONLY valid for pepsi next or Mountain Dew.”  This is the thing we love about CVS, their flexibility and easy customer service.  If anything it has to go back to the cashier and decision, not CAROLINAGIRLTISS.

          • Couponer

It’s the customer’s responsibility to use coupons properly and that means making sure that the coupons match the items purchased.  We’ve all seen the endless complaints about the “Mean Old Lady Cashiers” who read every last word of the coupon to make sure that the customer purchased the item for the coupon presented.  Couponers don’t like getting a cashier like that because it takes forever to check out and customers in line behind the couponers truly hate it.  But, unfortunately, coupon misuse has made cashiers take second and third looks at coupons.

For years, P&G had bar codes that allowed customers to buy Tide and Crest toothpaste with high value Pampers coupons.  Monistat coupons were coded so that anything could be purchased (candy bars, you name it…)  Folks flocked to self check-outs or unsuspecting cashiers to buy those items and use those wrong coupons.  So was it the store’s problem that their employees were “flexible” and had “easy customer service”?  Or, was it just plain old coupon abuse on the part of the customer?  Coupon misuse doesn’t mean that a customer has to photoshop or copy a coupon – even using it on products in a way other than what’s indicated on the coupon is coupon misuse.

            • momof4

Wow!! If “WE THE PEOPLE” take advantage of the system, like alot of others do, then “WE THE PEOPLE” will not have a coupon system!! Or am I just wrong???

            • mrn1

You are right!  My point exactly…that is why I am having trouble keeping my mouth shut (fingers still).  Misuse by some ruins it for all.  Target put out a new policy…funny some of the things they included, but I know why it was necessary.

        •  lol!!

      • Sp8babe

This is solely my perspective but if you read what she wrote CarolinaGirlTiss states she bought a Pepsi Max, Diet Mountain Dew & Diet Pepsi however the cashier only scanned her Mountain Dew. So the cashier chose to only scan 1 item 4 times. There are coupons for all 4 which I assume she presented to the cashier & hence her concern that some wouldn’t take ~ 4 MD’s rung up however varying q’s for the varying items. So no intentional coupon fruad ~ she presented valid q’s for the items she was purchasing.

        • mrn1

She did purchase the correct items for the coupons-no fraud on her part.  The whole reason I said anything is because of the FYI that the coupons will work on any Pepsi product.  That is no different than decoding coupons to buy within the same family of items so that the coupon is used on an item it wasn’t intended for.  My perspective on her comment is that she is letting people know that if they want to buy a different product than what the coupons say, they will work-that is fraud.  That is why I said something.

          • Sp8Babe

Valid point mrn1….I see that side as well.

Don’t know if anyone else got this deal, but in Cayce/Columbia, SC they had some of the Physicians Formula skincare products for $4.99, and the coupon center printed off $15 off a PF skincare purchase.  Ended up walking out with a moisturizer & 2 eye creams for free because of it.  But I know it doesn’t work everywhere, as my sister in California didn’t get the PF coupon today…

      • Denise

Same thing happened to me in Maryland.  The products on sale are the blue labeled(not purple).  The sale price is not advertised and you can only find it if you scan it or when you check out.  I also got 3 of the moisturizers, eye creams etc for next to nothing!

      Jenny,
I went to two different CVS in Athens and did not see where the Pantene was  $3.33, and if you spend $30.00 on P&G products you will get $10.00 in extra bucks. Am I missing something?

      • mrn1

Look at the very beginning of the post for her **Important Note.  There are many, many different ads out today.  CVS is changing some things up.

    • Guest

I don’t know if anyone has noticed this yet, but in the Greenville, SC ad, CVS is advertising Glade Renuzit Adjustables Air Fresheners as $.88 each.  There is a coupon in the paper today that has buy 2 get 1 free…this would make each one 59 cents! I will be going tomorrow! :)

    • Guest

Love CVS, but had an awful experience in customer service today.  Rude cashier rude and lazy manager loaded with snarky comments and bad attitude.  Wrote it off and decided “oh well”, but found out later my mom had the same experience with the same store later that day.  I rarely use this CVS, but every time I have it has been a bad experience.  After what happened with my mom, I am fuming and want to know if it is worth calling CVS corporate to complain?  Any advice?  thanks…

      • Sandra

Call. no excuse for being RUDE ..AND look on your receipt to see if you got a “survey”.  Apparently these mean alot as mine always remind me to please call .

      • If you have “twitter” go to their page and complain.  I’d do it on Facebook as well.

    • meme007up

If this is a test period for CVS, I don’t understand why they would put the sales at the beginning of the week when the employees stocking and putting up signs will be so overworked already.  It makes more sense to have a few days to prepare for the sale before the onslaught of shoppers.

In Anderson, SC, there is no Pepsi deal (other than 2/$5) and Pampers are not included in the P&G offer.

Did anyone get the P&G insert in the Anderson Independent? My paper only had the Smart Source and the Red Plum inserts.

      • Guest

My CVS stopped putting up the sale stickers months ago anyway for the really hot sale items.  It’s irritating because I have to keep going to check the prices.  On the other hand, they usually have everything in stock unlike before.  Not liking this new plan though!!  Thumbs down!

      • Wgmlmc63

Believe me, EVERYBODY is informed (home office, dc units, ie. warehouses, and the stores)!!!!  In my area, some just don’t
like couponers. It’s toooooo much of a pain in the a$$! The stores,
like Wags, only put out 2 or 3 of the items that are on sale. Then re-stock it when the shelves are empty or you have to ask for manager for a certain ON SALE product. Then he looks at you with disgust cuz you want him to give you the $5 RR for that certain on sale item!!

      • Rubies20

The Pepsi deal that is 2/$5 is actually a better deal than the 4/$15 get $5 ecb which it actually equals 4/$10 but the 2/$5 is less money out of pocket no ecb’s to try to find something else to buy or to let expire

    • HeatherM221

AND JUST FYI TO YOU…….YOUR REPLY ISN’T NECESSARY!!!

      • mrn1

I will comment any time I happen to read someone encouraging coupon fraud!  I need to coupon for my family and coupon fraud is affecting all of us.

    • mrn1

I do not get on here to be rude and nasty.  I make helpful comments many times, but I also comment when people encourage the misuse of coupons.  Many people learn how to coupon on these sites and by reading comments and think that it is OK to use coupons how some  people post.  I can’t tell you how many times I have heard people say,  “well, I read it on … that you could do it”   We should all be striving to use our coupons correctly and encouraging everyone else to do the same.  How long do you think stores and manufacturers will let the fraud continue?  I’ve been doing this a few years now and the deals and policies keep changing and not for the better.

    • sissy

I always thought CVS was a national ad, why all the regional differences now? Do you know how many ‘regions’ there are?

      • Sandra

dont know…but in my opinion TOO MANY…  Went to do the Pantene deal only to find out it was not in our “region”….

        • Jacketfan24

I know…I really needed shampoo.  She said in the beginning that this was a SC ad, but apparantly there are different regions in SC since Panene wasn’t in my ad in Greenville.  Has to be very confusing to her as well as to us.  The ads just haven’t been very good lately, at least not to me since I don’t need diapers anymore.

      • guest

I think it is to keep us from using sites like Southern Savers b/c if we had to do all this work how many of us have the time or the ads ahead of time to actually do the matchups.

        • Guest

           Good point!  Not liking this!!

    • Couponer

There was nothing rude or nasty in her reply. She wasn’t being the coupon police either.  Jenny teaches folks to use coupons properly – what the OP was doing was clearly using coupons in a way that was against the wording of the coupon.  Even the CommonKindness website has the statement on the front page,”
Fraudulent use of CommonKindness coupons can be traced to the violator who will be prosecuted.”

Coupon abuse hurts us all in the long run.

    • Me

My father in law is a manager at cvs in a North Carolina store and he said cvs is going to a 4 day sale ad! That means the sale prices in the ad are only good through 6/20; sale signs say remove on 6/20. For the rest of the weeks each day will have a different promotion like 20% of Thursday, $5 off $15 Friday and $2 off toothpaste Saturday. If you need/want something on sale from the ad get it by Wednesday night because it will no longer be on sale by Thursday.

      • HeatherM221

Thanks for the info….have to say, I don’t like this! I enjoy shopping throughout the week, not just rushing to get all the things I want/need by Wednesday night.  I hope they lose business by making this change and decide to revert back to an entire week sale period! Thanks again :)

        • Rubies20

I will get rein checks and then go back on thurs for the “20% off entire purchase” or Friday and get “5 off 15”

      • VP22

Did he say all stores and if so, how soon are they are going to make that change because my ad this week is a full week’s ad?

        • Alvitao

did you have special promotions listed at the bottom of you flyer for thursday, fri, and sat?

          • VP22

Nope. Just a regular ad. I had that kind of ad one time a few months ago when we were part of a test market.

This must be in the test area. The ad should have those dates listed. My ad is dated through Saturday.

      • Alvitao

Ours is the same. :( I was really looking forward to using the 20% off with the tide deal, but it seems I can’t. I am not going to like this is they do it all the time.

My ad in TN lists the 17th – 20th as the ad dates, then the special sales afterwards on Thurs/Fri/Sat.  I don’t like this – my CVS restocks Wed. night and I always go first thing Thurs. morning so that the items are in stock.  Bummer.

    • Tigercouponmom

Can someone email me concerning how to get this CVS deals? I am not understanding something right! Thank you tigercouponmom@yahoo.com

      • This week there appear to be regional differences in almost every city, so you will see differences this week. Hopefully things will go back to normal soon!

    • stacy

My CVS would not take the Purex Crystals printable coupon because it said “Redeemable at Walmart” on it even though it does say it is a manufacturers coupon and starts with a 5. I called the customer service number and they stated it is considered a “Walmart” coupon.  The cashier did scan one to see if it would go through and it did! It did not beep. She then saw the wording “Redeemable at Walmart” and asked another employee whether they take those coupons. They said no because they do not get reimbursed for it. She did keep the first coupon but would not take the second one. She then tried to argue that they cannot take 2 coupons on a b1g1 free item. I then pulled out my CVS coupon policy and showed her where she was wrong for future reference!

    • Jessicaf83

I know some stores will accept expired ECBs. Does anyone know of anywhere in myrtle beach that will accept expired ones.

Scan your card at the coupon center – it is giving those $15 off Physicians Formula again! And the blue PF skin care products are ringing up $5.25, so you can get 3 for 25 cents each. I love their moisturizer so this is a great deal. I also got a $4 off $20 beauty purchase coupon from the machine so I went ahead and bought 4. Over $80 of good moisturizer for less than $4 including the sales tax. Can’t beat that!

      • disappointed

For the first time today I had a cashier look at the Physician’s Formula coupon and instead of scanning it, she said “This is for a face care line we don’t carry. I don’t know why these keep printing.” I had gotten the concealer because it has always worked before.

    • Bamabobbie

Well seems to me that the CVS ads are now different just like the coupons.  I found this on the Pepsi deal this week.  You would end up paying the same but it’s so confusing when you try to plan your shopping and then get there and it’s all different.  Guess I will just have to go to CVS site and used my zip code to find out what my area will have on sale.  Don’t know what has happened to CVS.

    • Gingiraffe

Thank you to all who have posted about the Physican’s Formula being on sale.  I got the coupon last week from the machine, so I went and used it today.  They were $4.99 in my store, so I got 3 for free!  Plus I found Crayola Sidewalk chalk on clearance for $1.87 for a very large package!  Woohoo!  Coupon also printed a free Pepsi Next 2 liter, but they did not have those in my store.

    • AThrasher

Got a couple of great deals today on lunch.   I still had a CVS Q for the $10 off $30 gillette purchase.  I was going to get the venus razor and the cartridges and use the buy the cartrigdes and get the razor for free.  When I got there they had the disposables venus razors B1G1 50% off!  I got 4 packs of the razors.  They were $11.29 and then the one that was 50% off was $5.64. Used the $10 off $30 Gillete,  used 2 B1G1 venus disposable coupon and used 2 of the $2 off disposable coupons.  Made is a $2.72 money maker.

      • Bamasaver

Thanks for posting…I may try to get the same since I still have those coupons.

      • Debbie

Went to cvs for same deal today.dont understand how it’s a moneymaker.
My prices were a little different. Bought 4 packs of razors @ $11.79 and 50% off second $5.89. Total $35.36
First I gave $10/30,then the 2 b1g1,now my total was 1.78, so I couldn’t use $2mc ,so I bought 2 candy bars for $2 and used coupon to get 1 free. She took off $1.19,which left me 56 cents. Still had to pay sales tax so total was $2.94.
        What am I missing?

        • Maria

I think she meant MM before sales tax.  When I know know I’m about to have some overage, I’ll get something like milk for eggs I can’t get coupons for.  Also, unless you live in New Hampshire, there’s always tax. lol.

          • Drmars123

Ok thanks.I thought maybe you guys somehow didn’t pay tax.:)

        • AThrasher

I also used 2 $2/1 disposable razor coupons.  I bought other things so I guess it sort of credited towards that.  Any other time I have bought something and the coupon was more than the price they had to adjust it so there was not a credit,  however this did not happen with this transaction.

    • Sara

Can I ask a quick question?  Can I purchase two items in one transaction for all the ECBs the limit allows?  Like, if I get two Tom’s toothpastes in a single transaction, will the machine print 2 $1 ECBs for me?  Or do I have to purchase things separately?  Thanks!

      • lucky1

If you do it in a single transaction it will print one ECB for $2… not 2 $1. As long as you don’t mind having an ECB for $2 one transaction is fine.

      • Couponer

First off, double check your store to make sure Tom’s is on sale.  It’s not on sale in all areas.  :-(

If it is on sale, you most certainly can buy two together and you’ll receive a $2 ECB.

With small ECB amounts, buying items together that have multiple limits is no big deal.  However, start to think twice about it when the ECB you’re getting is in the $5+ range since it’s very difficult to spend a $10+ ECB all at once.

      • Poheyward

yes you can do it in one purchase as long as its within whatever limit they set on it.

    • Klaurenw

i had the best experience at cvs today…not only did i make money to buy 4 packs of razors, but i used the overage to buy cvs brand “pantene-like” hair care that was on clearance…also used my tressemme coupon to get two travel size shampoos……i havent shopped there in so long but i’ll be looking now

      • Mcleodsc

how did you get overage? my stores always adjust any coupon down so that there is never overage.

        • Soberkitty

You usually just have to something to apply the overage too!

    • Coupons44crystal

There is a Magic Coupon Machine coupon for $3.00 off Nexxus (printed several weeks ago – it does not exclude travel sizes) – I was able to get the travel size Shampoo for $3.29 – $3.00Q = $.29

    • WendyD

I’m so disappointed.  I went to my CVS with the scenario listed above.  They didn’t carry the Electo Nyte and the Tom’s antiperspirant wasn’t on sale and no ECBs for it either.  I double-checked my add, and I figured it was a regional thing and carried on with the razors.  When I got to the P&G Deal, I realized the add specifies EXACTLY which items I can get:  Tide liquid 19-32 loads, Charmin Ultra 16 pk which ended up being $1 less than the scenario stated, only the Bounty 2-packs not the 12 packs, Gain Dish Liquid, Duracell Batteries, and Nice ‘n Easy.  No pantene products.  :(  I didn’t check my ad like I should have before I went and ended up feeling very disappointed as I left with my razors.

MORAL OF THE STORY:  DOUBLE CHECK MY ADS!

      • Donbm314

My CVS didn’t have the Tom’s either but I asked my cashier why it wasn’t on sale in store and online and she took the deffrence off

    • Grgapeech

My card printed out a Secret deodorant coupon up to $1.50. They have trials for $1.26 so it’s free. Fine print did not exclude trial sizes.

    • Grgapeech

I bought 3 Venus & Olay razors today (10.99 each). I used the 30% off from my email, the $10 off $30 gillette products from scanning my card, and 3 of the $4 off MQ in sunday inserts…paid $1 for all three razors.

      • Bamasaver

Wow, you got a GREAT deal!

      • Michelledalton36

AWESOME!! I went 3 times last week and matched the P&G coups with red machine $10/$30 ….got some amazing deals. The nost I spent on one transaction was $3.91. I was hooping for some graet deals like that this week but I’ll not dare complain ” )

I had a great day at cvs today, i first found diapers and wipes on clearance 75%off.  I got 2 jumbo packs of size 4 diapers for $2.22each, 2 value size of cvs wipes (360ct) $2.44 each, 1 pack toddler wipes .87cents, and 2 packs of huggies jean diapers for 2.99each.  I used a $3.00 off a $10.00 cvs purchase and 2 $3.00 off huggies q and i spent 6.29 and saved 59.64.  Then i went to another cvs and found 2packs of colgate toothbrushes for 2.99each and it printed 6.00 in ecb and i also got 2 trial size tresemme for .99 each and used the $2.00 off 2 q

      • Maria

I’ll be looking for the baby stuff tomorrow, thanks for the heads up. :)

    • Sonny

How do you get the good coupons from the machine? I went yesterday and got some crappy coupons. I did my card 3 times and I only got 4 coupons.

      • Bamasaver

I don’t think there is any way to ensure you get the “good” coupons.  Some seem to be “random”, some are printed for everyone & some seem to relate to past purchasing habits.

    • Sonny

    • Ashhoward12

New to cvs but can you use a b1g1 coupons with a $off coupon.

      • Bamasaver

You can if the B1G1 coupon is not coded to “attach” to both items.  Some of the B1G1s apply to both items, but some do not (in which case you could also use another coupon for the item you’re purchasing).

        • Ashhoward12

           thanks

      • momof4

Often times it depends on the cashier!

    • Ashhoward12

Can you use a b1g1 and a $off on the same products? I always thought you couldn’t do that. Thanks!

      • Maria

You can use the $/Cents off on the item that is not free.  If you purchase 2 Gillette Razors, u can use the B1G1 Q for the free item (we’ll call it item #2).  And then, you can use a $2 off Gillette Razor on the item not for free (item #1).   :)  HTH

        • Madisonanita

I tried that exact transaction last night. I used a b1g1 and a $2off coupon. He scanned both razor pkgs, then scanned the b1g1 coupon, then the $2 off coupon and the register wouldn’t take the $2off. It said “exceeds limit”. I was sure that would work. What happened??

          • Sis2

            Didn’t work for me, either.

          • Maria

I’m going to assume that the coupon exceeded the amount of the subtotal.  But, then again, it should have taken it, bc I see you only used one B1G1 and one $/cents off Q.  Also, I used to hand the coupons in the order you did.  I was corrected on this site to give the cents off coupon first, then the B1G1 coupon after.  I never had a problem with the coupons after that.  I’m going to try this tonight and post my transaction.

            • Madisonanita

No, it didn’t exceed subtotal, but I did give him the b1g1 coupon first. You should try the other way around.

            • Maria

Yes, I did that and it worked just fine. :)

          • Soberkitty

Same here! The cashier didn’t understand the concept of the BO not being discounted. But considering the razors were BOGO 50% I wasn’t complaining too much!

    • I’ve got a money maker scenario on the Spend $30 get $10 ECB in PG products!!!( It requires quite a few coupons)

*Remember the ad is varying by region*

My PG ad included Tide, Pantene, Nice’N Easy, etc.

      1) Tide $5.94
      2) Pantene 12.6 FL oz on sale 3 for $10 or $3.33 ea.
      3) Nice’N Easy Hair dye (Does not include Foam or Perfect 10) $5.99 ea.

      Sub Total: $30.58

      Coupons:
$5 off $15 (Printed last night on my receipt)
      2) $2 off $5.99 hair dye or highlight (One printed last night and one this afternoon)
      3) $2 off 1 Nice’ N Easy PG 5/13
$2 off 2 Pantene (Printed last week from the Coupon Center)
      $3 off 2 Pantene from PG 5/13
      $1 off 1 Tide

      After coupons: $9.58
(You could make the total lower by having 3 of the $2 off 5.99 but I didn’t want to wait another day to print it and risk not getting my preferred hair color)

I also had $5 in ECB which made my total $6.04 and got $10 ECB back !

I was disappointed with this week until I figured this lil’ gem out. :)

      • Maria

Great Deal!  Especially with your last minute coupons that printed out. :)

    • Brie

What section of the store is the electro nyte shots located? Couldnt find them yesterday

It was in the aisle with the pain meds,  Advil & Tylenol, etc.  I think mine was on the bottom shelf in both stores I looked in (one was out of it).

        • Mcleodsc

like athrasher posted-be sure to look on the bottom shelf

    • Was the Kix included in the General Mills Cereal?

    • Soberkitty

$1 off 3 on vo5 in one of the last couple of weeks! I’m out right now but I’ll try to get the right date and circular when I get home.

    • Mcleodsc

anyone else get an email with a printable 20% off any beauty purchase coupon?  Anyone have any scenarios using the 20% off and the coupons from the red machine? Trying to maximize my shopping. Anyone know if it can be combined with the coupons that are supposed to print at the red machine later in the week?

      • ireneY

I was able to combine a $2 root hair color and $2 on $5.99+ hair color CRT on one item. And my store is very strict with Q usage, too. Just as long as you meet the requirement for all Qs, I guess.

    • Happy Feet

I live in Ga.  I happen to pick up a Anderson SC Sunday newspaper this week…. BOY… are the CVS ads different…. I was shocked… even a little price difference…. and someThurs.-Sat… machine coupons to die for… not on my local sale… Hmmmm….. P.S.  the A.SC news paper does super coupons…. :o)

    • ann

I have a rain check from CVS for Purex – 24-33 load size for $1.98.  Can I use if now on the B1G1 sale?

      • Steph

I don’t see Right Guard on the list. What did you do to get 16 for $8.60?!!!

    • Madisonstrick

I just went to cvs with 2 purex crystals coupons and they were not on sale for buy 1 get 1.  They were 7.69 each.  I was very disappointed.  Had planned on using 2 $1 off coupons and a $4 reward buck and was only going to have to spend $1.79 +tax.  I looked in the sale paper and there was not even an ad for it.

      • Couponer

It’s been posted many times and even Jenny put a large **Important Note**  at the very top of the ad — there are many variations of the ad this week so we all have to check our ads carefully to make sure what’s on sale in our areas.  It’s frustrating, for sure.

    • Guest

This is awkward, but someone else might find this helpful as well…
CVS had Large size Trojan condoms for 75% off today. Loaded up, be sure to check expiration dates.  They also had clearance prices for several lubricants in the family planning section as well.  I hope sharing this wasn’t too uncomfortable.

      • kbellies

No, not uncomfortable, in fact, I think some “high fives” and “fist bumps” are in order!!!  ;)

Great deal for some people but think I’ll steer clear of buying them to sell at the flea market!!!

I had planned on buying an 80 ct size 3 box of Pampers with my transaction, but, it was not part of the P&G deal at my location.  The 36 ct bags were, however.  I had to improvise, so this is what I did.

      Bought:
2 Bags of Pampers at 11.99 each
      8 Gillette Sensor 3 Disposable 4 ct at B1G1 at 50% off (9.99 each)
      1 Tide detergent at 5.94
1 Gain Dish detergent at .88
1 Bottle of Vinegar at 2.19
      1 Aquafina H2O 1.67

      Subtotal = 94.60

      Used:
1 – $1 Pampers MQ (Tear Pad, thank goodness)
      1 – $1.50 Pampers MQ
      2 – $10 off Gillette Products CRT
      4 – B1G1 Gillette MQ
      4 – $2 off Gillette MQ
      1 – $.50 Gain Dish MQ
      1 – $1 Tide detergent MQ
      1 – $4 off any $20 CRT

After $9 ECBs from last week, new total is $9.64.  OOP $9.64 + tax.  I received ($10 P&G & $1 Green Tag ECBs).  I also received a $5 EC Beauty Bucks.  I had presented the B1G1 Qs this way, $10 CRT first, $2 MQ second, B1G1 MQ lastly.  The cashier has to punch in the total for the B1G1 Q, which in my case he punched in the $9.99.  Very Happy Customer! :)

No toms of Maine at mine! Was very disappointed. The Pantene was not part of the p&g either.

      • ab

If you have a Harris Teeter near you, it’s cheaper with the coupon and Super Doubles. $.50-$1.00 oop after coupons.

    • Kenren801

Thank you to everyone for posting the CVS diaper clearance deals! My store still had some Tuesday afternoon! Would have skipped this week if it weren’t for all the posts! Can’t beat $2.22/pack!

    • Caroyl

HELP…I am comfused and tired of trying to read the post and figure this out. I went to CVS and they didn’t have most of the sale items.  (Savannah GA and Beaufort SC)

I have $5.00 ECB to spend before the 28th of Jun.

I was trying to make deals TODAY with the coupons i have below but am so confused as to what CVS will take.

      I have:
      (4) B1G1 Gillette Fusion,
      (9) $2.00off Venus Razor
      (1) B1 Venus Cart G1 Razor, B1G1 Venus Disposabe
      (12) $2.00 off Venus disposable
      (10) $2.00 off Gillette Mach
      (9) B1G1 Gillette good news
      (1) $1.00 off Gillette fusion skin care
      (1) $1.00 off Gillette fusion shave prep
CVS 25% off next purchase, excludes sales.
      $2.00 off any haircolor
      $3.00 off CVS brand
$2.00 off 2 Degree, Dove, AXE Deodrant
$2.00 off New Organiz Body Wash or Lotion.

I just want to spend the $5.00 ECB with little OOP, soem ECBs would be nice.

    • Mbassett73

I am trying to figure out what products are included in a beauty purchase in order to use the $4 off $20 beauty purchase?

    • Tropicsungirl

Just a heads up.  Here in greenville sc all our CVS stores have CVS brand diapers 50% & 75% off!  I have 2 in diapers so I bought 25 packs of diapers for $56!!!!

      • Maria

        Holy Cow! That’s great! :)

      • tori729

Eek! I hope you didn’t shop at the stores I go to. Or maybe I can buy a pack off of you if I don’t find any? I only need one pack, my daughter is potty training.

I have a coupon for b1/g1 CoverGirl mascara.  I can still use (2)- $1 off CoverGirl products, correct?

      • mrn1

No, just 1, but I think it is a beeper. The theory is that the B1G1 coupon attaches to the free item and the $1 coupon would attach to the one you are paying for. You cannot use two cents off coupons with a B1G1 coupon if you are only getting 2 items. CVS policy doesn’t really address cents off coupons with B1G! coupons, but stores like Publix and Target have and do not allow a coupon to be used with a B1G1 coupon. HTH

    • d t cox

just got a e-mail from cvs today only spend 10.00 scan your card at red box get 2 liter pepsi .50 cents they are .1.00 anyway dont think i want to waste gas and 10.00 to save .50 i think its new they are trying in v a

    • Maria

Just a heads up. I opened a pack of Pampers I purchased yesterday and it has a $1 off MQ for Cheerios, no size restriction. It doesn’t expire ’til the end of the year. Look for the package that says “Savings Inside” with the Cheerios emblem.

    • Wethedeans

Seems like everyother week at CVS I say to myself that I’m going to NOT coupon at CVS this week because the deals look dull. However, this week, there will be no hairy people at my house for quite a while because I have kicked butt with the razor deals, also the skinny water, shaving cream, pepsi’s and hair products of all venues. There is ALWAYS a deal at CVS!

So upset with cvs this week. The add was only 4 days this week. I went there today to get the pampers deal and they said sorry that sale ended yesterday! Not a happy camper right now

      • Yeah same here. We just got back from Vaca and I went to do my CVS for the week. I got there and Nothing was on sale… Booooo… My cashier told me in our area it was only a 4 day thing…. But tomorrow It will print out a $5/$15 so I can use my 20% off from today and the $5/$15 with my $5of Silk Razor and manf. $4 off Razor….

    • Ann

I have a rain check for Purex 24-33 load size. Can I use this on the B1G1 this week? The price is better.

    • The ad ended yesterday in Charleston area.

    • sheila

i scanned my cvs card, got a $5 off schick hydro. it’s on sale for $8.99 w $3 EB back. So it makes it $1. Great deal.

      • sheila

i also got a $10 off some new shampoo I’ve never heard of…Ferrek, or Fekkecr…anyway, it’s $27 full size but the coupon will work on the little bottles that are $8.99. My cvs took off the whole $10 coupoon.

        • Maria

I got the same coupon. Unfortunately, mine says “excluding trial size”. Might wanna check yours.

          • Grgapeech

mine said exl trial also but they still took it. The bottles arent in the trial/travel section, so I dont know if that matters. For $10 I would at least try it

            • lucky1

I’ve went to 4 CVS’s in St.Pete and can’t find this brand. Has anyone in the St.Pete/Clearwater area been able to find it?

      • Not in my area… Booooo!!!

      • Mclaughlin Rebecca

Use the $4 maunufactor coupon with this!

      • I got the $5 off schick store coupon, then had a $4 off manufacturer… paid like .62 cents tax and got $3 ecb!!! The only thing different about mine was that my $5 off coupon printed on my receipt but my sister in laws printed at the magic coupon printer.

    • couponamk24

Dont waste your time on this add if you havent already shopped it, this sale ended yesterday in TN!!!

    • betsy

So, I stopped to do the P&G deal tonight. The sale is over as of yesterday. I’m so irritated. What in the world? I just emailed customer service.

    • why can I no longer view the comments?

    • Guest

Sighing, has anyone else had this issue? I went to my CVS tonight and asked for a copy of the “sale flyer” (didn’t tell the employee it was because I was expecting the $5 off $15 q–I just wanted to check to see if I was in error, I was that comes out tomorrow) BUT she informed me that it ISN’T a sale flyer because the items were only on sale Sunday-Wednesday. It was my interpretation that only the items in the blue box on the front cover were on the 4 day sale. There are a couple places it says inside “deal of the week”. Does anyone know? I have a hard time getting transportation so I don’t want to go again if I can’t get the sale prices I was expecting.

      • VP22

Your ad was part of a test market this week and that ad and the deals in it were only until Wed. I think you are supposed to scan your card today to get the $5/$15 coupon. This Sunday’s ad should be back to normal.

    • tori729

Another very disappointed shopper who went in CVS yesterday. I as well thought the “4 day sale” was just for the front items and confidently told the cashier that. Then the manager explained to me the different ad for this week. I’m hoping I can still find some clearance diapers (I only need 1 pack for the girl who got 20+ in g’ville! I hope you didn’t shop at my store!). And maybe I can find some things I need to use the $5/$15 but since nothing is really on sale, I don’t know…

Pretty disappointing that our ad ended Wednesday – the manager kept some things on sale, but the ECB’s were not activated. So everything came out of my cart and I left with nothing.

    • Dee Dee

Test market or not, CVS should have given a little more “heads up” on the date change on their ad…that is totally wrong.  Human nature what it is, we don’t check behind them for end dates..when it has ended on a Saturday for HOW many YEARS? I plan to notify them that was wrong!

    • guest

I am emailing cvs corporate about the ad. It seems pretty bait and switch. If we are reading top to bottom, right to left, turning pages, Page 1 starts w/ “4 day sale” CVS has done this before and been clearly labeled so I am ok w/ the stuff in that box being at that sale price. Below that are clearly deals for beyond Wednesday BUT apparently the 4 day thing went into effect again on p 2 although there is no disclaimer on p 2 letting the reader know that. I am willing to let this one go as ignorance on the part of cvs re their ad layout but if similar occurs would  like to be prepared to file a class action law suit.
Please email cvs, save a copy of your email AND save your ad.

I am not a lawyer but I know bait and switch is illegal and if it becomes a pattern I want us to be able to pursue it.

      • Me

If you look at the top left corner of the first page with the calendar, you will see that is shows the entire test ad is 4 days.  I agree the bold print on the front page is confusing, but the calendar on the top left corner is in the same spot as always and highlighted to to show only 4 days.

        • guest

I saw the calendar in the upper left however, obviously the “entire” ad is NOT for the first 4 days only considering the bottom of p 1 shows things that are happening  Thursday-Saturday

    • Rosie

I too just left my CVS with NOTHING since I too did not realize the ad sales ended already.  I left a cart full of stuff.  I am going to call corporate right now to just give them my 2 cents.  The store clerk said everyone is peeved at it ending early.

      • Dee Dee

It seems even Jenny got “boondoggled” by this.  No mention in her post regarding dates being different..test market, etc.  Now that tells you the average consumer isn’t going to “catch it”  either.

    • Rentrav

Is VERY upset by the new CVS “sale!”  I’ve been in classes all day on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday! I had all my coupons pulled and had my trip planned out, only to find out that the sale ended on Wednesday!  Their ad is very misleading, and I, too, will be contacting cooperate!

    • Dee Dee

Jenny, I would like to hear what you have to say regarding this.  You and CVS were “tight” with your trip out to discuss things with them.. Did they not fill you in on this new marketing strategy?  I am curious as to how this has happened without your knowlege.

      • Sheila_P

Wow! Check the top of the post where Jenny mentions that the ads were VERY regional and that she recommends everyone check their own ad at cvs.com to confirm the deals at their store.  Jenny does a great job with the coupon match-ups, but we each have to do our own due diligence.  This is not the first time that CVS had different ads out in test market area and it will not be the last.  This is how CVS does their research.

Just got back from my CVS in Alabama. They wouldn’t take my Pepsi coupons!! They said the were counterfeit! They even have my name on them, and from a charity site! Never had an issue with counterfeit coupons and I’m kinda confused..anyone else have issues with those coupons?

    • mrn1

This was a test market ad…we had it here a couple of months ago.  We had none of the awesome deals or freebies Sunday thru Wednesday that everyone else had, then a modified portion of the ECB deals started on Thursday.  It was a test market thing, no biggie.  There will be more deals to come.

    • Mclaughlin Rebecca

Here is a deal most of you may not know about, the gillette Venus and Mach men are bogo 50% off,if you use two of the $2 off and two bogo, along with $10 of 30 in gillette that the coupon center prints out, with 4 packs of razors they are all free,in fact on two transactions I had to get other stuff to make up the negative. You do not have to use extra bucks or anything. I bought 24 packs of razors,4 candy bars,2 gallons of milk for .56 No Joking! I got a raincheck just so I can get more coupons and do it again,oh and I got one hydro silk razor, with the $5 the machine printed ou t and the manufactor      $4 and $3

      • Mclaughlin Rebecca

and $3 back on the hydro computer was being a pain would’t type,go figure now it is,but also send in for you $10 gas card for spending 25 on gillette products to!

Today was the first time I’ve ever been disappointed with cvs! This website states $5 ECB on 4 -12 packs of Pepsi products, but CVS said that wasn’t in their system! It was 2 for $5! Also on Advil the same, NO $3 ECB either! What happened?

Check the top of the post.  Jenny mentioned that the ads are VERY regional this week and that she recommended everyone check their ads on cvs.com before shopping.  FYI – the Pepsi deal works out to the same price/pack and you can buy more since there are no ECBs attached that are limited to one.  You got the better deal.  HTHs.  By the way, next week, the as are not regional.

If you figure it out they actually come out costing the same after ECB in my town they were 2/$5 and in a town close by they were 4/$15 with $5 ECB I would much rather do the 2/$5 because it meant less oop with the 4/$15 get $5 ECB it comes out to 4/$10 which is te same just more oop

    • Keisha

I am very disappointed in CVS. They should make it clearer that the ad would stop on Wed. :(. I missed all of the deals this week.

I was also very upset with CVS today, I had everything planned out and coupons out, to find out the sale was only 4 Days :(  I thought it was the stuff on the front of the ad not the whole ad.  It is hard to go through the week day sometimes now the kids are out of school and husband is at work.

I went today not realizing the change.  I went up to ask the cashier if they had already taken this weeks signs down.  He started acting really nervous and asked me to wait just one minute so he could get a copy of the add.  He brought it out very apologetic and explained the ad.  I said it was OK because I had not really even looked at the ad, and aid I imagined he had heard an ear full quite a few times over this.  He said he had only worked Thursday and Friday and had been yelled out by at least 30 customers.  It is not his fault the corporate suits are completely out of touch!   He told me I could complain to corporate if I wanted to.  When I told him thanks, he thanked me for not yelling at him.  I told him, I had been in that position before and don’t believe in “shooting the messenger.”  He again thanked me and told me he hoped I had a wonderful evening.  Poor kid!!  Think I will complain to corporate about the ad, but call the store manager to commend the clerk.

      • Billie
