On the Simple Pleasures, a CVS coupon that came out not too long ago, and a manu q, can you use both or are both really just manu q’s? I have had that happen before, unfortunately I don’t have the q in front of me to tell you more.

      • Kei2448

You can use both, as long as the CVS q does not have manufacturer printed on it. As an example, a couple of weeks ago I bought Pull Up diapers, CVS had a $2.00 off coupon online, and huggies had just released a $2.00 off man. Q. I used both and got $4.00 off. Hope that helped ;)

        •  The one I got off the CVS website (which is a store q) was $2.50 off 2. Hope that helps :)

P.s, there is also the $1 off 1 ss printable..you can find the link on the iheartcvs website. I could only print 1 for some reason, but that still makes them 50 cents.

          • mrn1

Jenny has the link up for them also. I, too, could only print one.

          • mrn1

How will the double ECB’s work on the Crest?? Example: I buy 2 tubes of Crest Pro-Health at $2.99 each (get back $2 ecb’s each) will that be $5.98 towards the $10 on Crest get $5 back??

      • 1bigsaver

It’s two different deals.  The $2.99 deal is for the smaller size (4 oz).  The other deal is on the bigger size (5.8 oz), so buying two of the $2.99 will not count towards the get $5 wyb $10 in oral product deal

        • Stacielovescoupons

Glad you caught that…cause I sure didn’t! lol! Thanks! :)

    • 1bigsaver

Kind of a sad ad for me :(  Guess I’m skipping CVS this week!

    • Cucuponer

I STILL HAVE THOSE PRINTABLES STARBUCKS REFRESHERS COUPONS  FROM MONTHS AGO BECAUSE I NEVER COULD FIND THEM AT WALGREENS AT THAT TIME IM A LITTLE EXCITED NOW IT CAN BE MONEY MAKER NOW IF IM LUCKY ENOUGH! :)

      • Cyndi B

Me too!!!!  Love those moneymakers!   :)

      • Tracy

Me too, me too! Mine don’t expire until 12/31/12 either so if I don’t find them I guess they’ll just go back in the file.

        • aprilinFL

Yeah!! except mine says one per purchase so i’ll buy one starbucks and one amp

          • tori729

One coupon per purchase just means one coupon per item purchased. Or you can do 2 separate transactions if you’re more comfortable with that.
Usually a coupon will say “one coupon per transaction, per day” or “one coupon per customer per day”.

    • Diana29680

If I go to CVS everyday and scan my card will I get coupons each day from the magic coupon machine?

      • andi330

You will get them most days. You won’t always get two scans (last week I had several days where they only let me scan my card once) and sometimes there won’t be any coupons, I had a day like that last week. But usually you will get at least one scan out of the machine if you go daily. However, you need to weigh this against things like the gas you are using. The reason I go so often is because I drive right past a CVS on my way home from work, so it is not out of the way for me to stop. Many of the coupons I get out of that machine are coupons I will never use, so if I was going out of my way to scan every day, using gas to do it, it might not be worth it for me.

    • Lauran

Man, am I going to have fun this week.  I kept $8.75 from this week’s CVS trip because I knew next week would be a good one–and it sure is!

      • Lauran

That should be $8.75 ECB, lol.  I’m so excited I can’t even type right.  :)

        • J4kaye7321

Glad to hear I am not the only one.  I drive my husband crazy when I get good deals and I just go on and one about it….

          • Ambie

Meeee toooooooo… I so need other couponing friends!  I swear my hubby is going to trade me in for a newer model, one that has never heard of a coupon.  :'(

            • jusjessl

I’m sure your husband appreciates all the good stuff you bring home and that you’re not breaking the bank to get them! Men just don’t always get into how exciting the details are as we do>  Have him go buy the same products and copare receipts – he;’ll get it!  sorry if there are typos – it won’t show me what i’m writing

            • Swmail

Save your coupon money and buy something or take him out to dinner and say my coupon money paid for this. Believe me he will start realizing how much money you really are saving. You have to make it concrete for men.

    • cvslady

This week the red machine gave me $1 off Crest – money maker!

    • andi330

Got a $5 off $40 in store purchase coupon in my email today. Seriously?! I’m not sure I can find $40 worth of stuff for next week’s ad before coupons that I want, certainly I would usually spread a high purchase like this over multiple transactions. And it has to be used by Sunday! I already did my shopping this week, so I won’t use it before Sunday. So now, if I can make the math work, I also have to make a special trip on Sunday when I don’t usually shop to use this thing. $5 off $40 is not a great coupon IMHO.

      • Leigh

don’t fall into the trap of thinking you HAVE to use the $5 off of $40 just because you have it – $4 off of $20 is a 20% savings – but $5 off of $40 is only 12.5% – just saying you don’t need to feel guily if you don’t use it!  IMHO

        • andi330

Oh I know, and I do let coupons like this expire if they won’t work for me. I have $10.75 from this week’s trip in ECBs, so if I look at it and really have a good think I could probably make it work though. I’ll consider it.

      • Dtcox1

i just got 20 percent off any thing and ive already done my shopping this week too .good through sunday too

      • Holly23

My bilo let’s me use CVS coupons and Walgreens coupons like that! Use it on groceries plus you get fuel perks!!

    • Watts_coupons

Man am I excited!! I can’t wait! But I will be having 8 transactions lol hope my store isn’t busy!! :)

      • Gil

What on earth do you see in this s-l-o-w weeks ad to do multiple trans? Most of us that have been Qing for a while want -O- OOP,or MM’ing deals at CVS. I just don’t see much happening.
        Share your ideas :)

        • Watts_coupons

I’ve been couponing for almost a year now and I just started really doing a lot of cvs. Here’s what I’m doing:
T#1: 1 gilette & olay razor $9.99 use $4 off q and a $3 previous ecb from this week will make it $2.99 and $4 ecb back.
T#2: 2 herbal esssence shampoos $5 ($2.50 each) use $1/2 q and $4 ecb makes that FREE! with $1 ecb.
          T#3: the crest 3D pro health toothpaste at $2.99 use $0.75/1 and $1 ecb and that will be $1.24 (b/c I didn’t have $1 q) get $2 ecb back
T#4: crest pro health toothpaste at 2.99 use $0.75/1 q and $2 ecb.
T#5: playtex tampons (I need them so i will be spending more oop than I wanted) $6.99 use $1/1 q and $2ecb equals $3.99 get $3 ecb back.
          T#6: advil liquigels 20ct $2.99 and Pepsi Max 2L @ $0.98 use $1/1 advil q, $0.55 Pepsi max q and $3 ecb (I may need a filler item here so i won’t be negative) FREE!
T#7: Xtra liquid detergent $1.49 and 8 stayfree pads $2 each use 8 $2/1 stayfree qs and $1 ecb and I only pay $0.49 oop!
Total oop: $8.71 (little more than I wanted but I needed tampons)
Total valve: $48.71 (all before taxes)
          82% savings! Hth!

          • Watts_coupons

            Total for T#4 = $0.24 and I ended only having 7 transactions

            • Ambie

I think there may be a slight flaw to the way you’re calculating “savings”… although it’s hard to tell… but I see this alot when people post on this blog and I never say anything because people can get mean with responses back.  :(  Anyway, here’s my rule of thumb, hope someone finds it useful.  To not fool yourself into thinking you’re getting a better deal than you actually are… you should not count any ECB coming into this whole CVS trip as “coupons”… think of them as OOP cash.  It helps to avoid double-counting… what I mean by that is… if you left CVS with any ECB from last week’s purchases, did you consider it part of your “savings” in last week’s totals?  If so, you’re double counting here (bad, will always make you think you’re saving more).  Also, consider any ECBs coming out of this trip at the very very very end as cash back… like an instant rebate.  That helps “internalize” the savings to only the stuff you’ve bought this week, without mixing savings between last week, this week, and next week.  I’m a mathematician, so I’m anal about this stuff… sorry!

So here’s an example of the way I think:

Say I have $10 ECB coming into CVS this week. And say I do 2 transactions.

              Transaction 1:
Buy poster of hot guy: $10 (gives ECBs)
Buy poster of less hot guy: $5
Pay with $10 ECB from last week.
              ———
              Paid $5 cash, also $10 ECB… so it’s LIKE paying $15 cash.
Got back $3 ECB from first poster.

              Transaction 2:
                Buy perfume: $15 (gives ECBs)
Pay with $3 ECB from last transaction.
———Paid $12 cash (the ECB’s from Transaction 1 are ok to consider coupons, because they’re internal to this CVS trip).Got back $5 ECB from perfume.

So how do I calculate my “effective” spending?

              $15 + $12 – $5 (ECB from Trans. 2) = $32

What this all means is… I think in the total you were giving for your shopping trip, you’re like $5 under on what you actually “effectively” spent.

            • Ambie

              Sorry, this should say:
              $15 + $12 – $5 (ECB from Trans. 2) = $22

            • ButterflyGirly25

I agree with you.  On most items you have to spend the cash first to get the ECB.  Yes technically you can get free items by doing this, but you have to master rolling over your ECB’s and matching with coupons.  So the original $5 you spent on something that cost $5 and then you get 5 ECB’s back, you are still out $5.  But until your next transaction when you use the ECB you are still $5 in the negative, but you get the next items for “free.”

            • ButterflyGirly25

I’ll try not to say anything mean, but that’s about as anal as it gets. Sorry..:). You calculate your way, I’ll do it mine, I count ECB’s as coupons, and mix them up, etc. Make life simpler!

            • Erin

I see what you are saying and I agree with you. I think “savings math” is very often flawed, as is the language of deals themselves. It’s not really accurate to characterize deals as being “like free” after ECBs, RRs, or Ups rewards. First of all, the reward is in the form of a store coupon valid only in that store, which is predicated on a return trip to that store in which the reward is actually used (when you may or may not need anything, in which case it’s more like a bogo or two-for-one deal). Second, there are limitations and exclusions regarding what can be purchased using that reward, which is not the case for the legal tender used in the initial transaction (barring EBT and the like). Third, rewards expire. The dollar does not. At least not yet.

You may think it’s just splitting hairs, but this is marketing at work. These little bonuses and the terminology used to describe them make us come back for more, since we have to use those rewards on something or else risk negating the “deal” we got on the initial item purchased.

Thanks for laying out your plans. I see one big problem…the Stayfree.
These are a highly prized item when walk-away free. I’ve already done my CVS deals this evening & I can tell you stock is limited on the $2. pkgs. They NEVER shelve enuf product on sales like this.
I’m cetainly not the only one doing early deals on Sat. but when I left our local store, there was 1 single pkg.of reg.Stayfree left on the shelves.
            Don’t forget those raincks!

            • Watts_coupons

Yeah I figured that would be a problem lol I plan on getting a rain check! I had to work tonight so I wasn’t able to get in at 4 so I hope theres stuff left when they open!

        • Thoushaltnotpayretail

In reality, the MM and zero OOP are slowly becoming a thing of the past. I think long-time couponers have become a little spoiled and we have to readjust and realize it’s okay to pay a little OOP for some of the things we need.

    • Thrifty Livin

The Simple Pleasures deal has $3 ECB listed but the ad only has $2 ECB.  So that would make them $1.00 instead of 50 cents, I think.

      • einaej

        Yes.

    • Grace Delay

I printed the $3/2 on Garnier Fructis Product and it says “Store Coupon,” not “Manufacturer Coupon” – will this be an issue?  I have no idea what ‘store’ it is for, it’s not mentioned on the coupon.

      • jessc5

I had the very same question!

      • Teresa

read on another site that it’s a supervalu store coupon

      • Mary Laura

OOH! Good catch! So, will they work? I was going to try something really cool this week, but if these coups won’t fly I will have to restratigize my plans. I don’t know what Supervalu is. Is it it’s own store or a supplier to other stores?

        • redteapot

I am not positive, but I think SuperValu is tied in with Savalot stores. I came across this a couple days ago on the Savalot website.
          HTH

      •  The $3/2 Garnier Fructis coupon says SUPERVALU INC. I looked it up and found this http://www.supervalu.com/sv-webapp/

Looks like Albertson’s coupon.  Don’t think it will work here.

      • Kvc_1104

You are right!!!  It doesn’t have the bar code either… =/ I don’t think it will go thru…

      • Queponhoarder

does show trademark by SUPERVALU, but not a manufacturer coupon so we cannot use as a manufacturer q.

    • Missthmister

Yay!  Hope the Starbucks Refreshers don’t get wiped out…I LOVE them.

      • guest

I wont be taking any, even for free.  More for those that like them.

        • einaej

They are loaded w/ high fructose syrup. Wish I had known that when they sold them the first time & would have saved my money instead of throwing it away on those things.

          • Peg

Thanks for the info.  Due to food sensitivities I avoid products with high fructose syrup like the plague!

          • Ganji

110% not true. Starbucks Refreshers don’t have high fructose corn syrup or any corn syrup at all in them, and I looked directly at the labels from my stock before posting. I have no clue where you got this idea from, but I thought I’d let others who avoid sugary, HFCS-filled drinks know. Starbucks Refreshers are completely HFCS free.

on the Crest….my P&G from 07/01 only has 75 cents off instead of $1….(athens, ga).

    • Jessdare101

If anyone will not be using their $2 stayfree coupons I would love to have them!! Just let me know.

      • Becky

do you have any b1g1 head and shoulders coupons to trade?

        • Becky

           it is from PG 7/1

    • Kwtwice3

I can’t find the coupon for the pampers and you can’t use the one from the past … it is for a box

    • Bekahbekah7

Anyone know if Charcoal would be part of the gas card deal?

    • Lu

Has anyone tried the crest toothpaste? I googled it and found many (~400) frightening complaints. What has been your experience?

      • Nikki

        Funny.
        Just don’t buy it.

        • ireneY

          Snide. Not funny.

      • ireneY

My preference is Colgate, plain and simple. Luckily, I haven’t needed to use the Crest. There’s just too much fiddling with a tried and true product for marketing purposes.

        • Queponhoarder

REally?? wow guess I should pay attention more to what they put in there. Though must say Colgate is one i use more often.

      • Days1997

$1.99 on the pure life water…isn’t that  a stock up price of 8 cents a bottle?

      • Jordyn’s mommy

I will be the first to say that if they were giving it away free I wouldn’t take Nestle water home with me.  I am a water drinker for sure, all I drink.  But Nestle is the worst tasting water I have EVER had!!!!! And I am not a water snob, my favorite brand of bottled water is Wal Mart brand….

        • Thoushaltnotpayretail

Really?! It’s my FAVE…I cringe at the thought of drinking deer park or Aquafina

          • guest

Any spring water is gross.  Most reverse osmosis waters are good.  I like nestle pure life, and walmart great value brand, but not sams club.  However, to really save some money, just get a reverse osmosis system on your kitchen sink.  Saves so much money, wasted plastic, and time.  I still buy bottled for times I am away from home.

        • Greeniegirl

If you look closely at the labels, it’s all just filtered tap water anyway.  And the plastic bottles kill the environment!  Save your money and drink tap water!

          • Jordyn’s mommy

LOL, I would love to stop spending money on water, believe me.  But, i have the nastiest well water in the county.  It is yellow and literally makes my ENTIRE house smell like a dirty diaper all the time.  It tarnishes fake jewelry, coins, screws, etc.  And that is with a water softener and 2 filters.  We had it tested and it was deemed safe to drink but for the life of me, I cannot put it to my mouth.   We are too rural to get county water, sooooo It’s bottled for me…

            • Days1997

BEEN THERE!!!!  We bought a house in the country with a HUGE garden bath tub with bubble jets! I was so happy, I LOVE baths! BUT every time you filled it up with the well water, it smelled like rotten eggs! NASTY! Clothes stunk, drinking water was yellow…it was so gross!

      • J4kaye7321

Actually, her deal mentioned above for the water says in order to use either of those coupons you have to buy TWO 24pack of .5L water bottles, so it wouldn’t be 1.99 each, it would be 2.49 each.  Still a good deal though…We usually buy the 32 pack at Sames for 3.69

      • Thoushaltnotpayretail

It would ve $2.49, the coupon is $1 off 2 24 packs

        • Jen

          well, that’s crappy then..

    • kelhuff

The link to the $3/2 Garnier is broken……this is my favorite.

      • Michelledalton36

It’s working now.Atleast it did for me.

        • Sis2

It works, but it is a link to a Supervalu store coupon.  Shouldn’t work at CVS.  Wouldn’t have printed it if I had realized it was a store coupon for a store other than CVS.

    • redteapot

I don’t understand how a everyday mom like me could use the Common Kindness coupon site. I am not an officer or curator of a charity. Does anyone have any input that could put it into simplistic terms.

      • maggiehg

Any regular person can sign up, go back and try again

      • Jtdjagos

As just a “regular” person, you would log on the site and pick a charity that you want the donation to go to. There is a link that will show your both local and national/international charities. Just pick one or more and you will have your account set up. HTH

      • mrn1

You don’t have to be anyone special to register there.  Just register and pick your charity.  When you click links on these sites (Southern Savers, KCL, I Heart Publix, etc) to print coupons, that site makes money (a small amount, but when lots of people are printing, it adds up).  Common Kindness is donating a portion of the money they make when you print their coupons to the charity you choose.  Anyone can register at their site and they actually have some coupons that are unavailable elsewhere.

Is the Crest deal only for Crest Pro-Health products? Because is you check around the internet that’s like the Boogie Man of Toothpastes. But Crest Complete or other Crest products are usually good- if they count in this deal.
Also, I think that Garnier $3/2 coupon probably won’t work at CVS. Unless someone else is the guinea pig and tries it first, I may just give it a shot. If the cashier says they can’t accept it, no probs. I think I have some other Garnier q’s still. Not as awesome, but they will work.

      • tina

i dont understand the boogie man of toothpaste comment.  please explain what you meant.  i think you are saying it is not the safest item to buy.  thanks for any information.

        • Vijtai01

I think she meant that the toothpaste is too strong and it is, if  you look at active ingredient. Saying from a personal experience I tried it couple of years ago, it messed up my one tooth and gum around it, eventually I had to taken out the tooth recently.

      • Mewatts

Why do you think that the $3/2 Garnier q’s won’t work? I was going to give it a shot :)

        • mrn1

Because it is a SuperValu store coupon..

          • Mewatts

I was just looking at that. It did not show up when I hit the link to print just automatically printed it. I guess no deal for me :(  Thanks for the info!

          • Queponhoarder

Good catch!! I was planning to use this coupon at target tomorrow!! haha

          • I use the 8 dollars off couypon at cvs last week and it went through just fine.

    • Mcleodsc

I just read on another cpn site that the inserts this week should have “PEPSI MOMENTS” with a .55 of 2liter Pepsi Next. I hope I get that insert!!

      • Rubies20

My husband works for frito-lay/Pepsi and he showed me on the website for Pepsi employees that they should be in this weeks paper I’m not sure if just anyone can look to see what they are for there are a few good ones

      • Gil

        It’s in there.
I’ve already gotten multiple Sun. papers.

    • lkk

I was not able to do the tresemme trial size deal with the coupon from the cvs machine. She told me that the system is not accepting because that coupon is not for trial size.
Anybody else had the same problem?

      • Rubies20

The coupon I had didn’t say not valid on travel or trial size I used it for the small size and the machine scanned the coupon just fine

    • honaker13

I am having problems with the nestle water coupon…is anyone else having issues with it too?

      • Bowslayer2

i just printed mine, actually printed two

        • honaker13

What do you have to do to get the coupon? Thanks.

      • Queponhoarder

I am also having issues getting this coupon. =(

    • Deremer

has anyone signed up for the common kindness- to get the pepsi coupons?  is it a quality site?

      • Anne

Yes, I have, and they are accepted in the stores.  No problems.

        • Mewatts

Are you talking about the $3/2 Garnier q’s?

      • Christina-nicksmomo

YES, I use Common Kindness. Can only print once. But, it benefits your charities.

    • Mommyof2

Anyone in the Greenville, SC area able to get a deal on bulk papers. The price of (1) paper is now $2.50. WOW!! That really adds us considering that I get multiple papers per week.

      • Littlerubyslipper

I dont know if you have a Dollar tree in your area but I get mine in Va Beach at dollar tree  :)  $1 each :)

      • Meghan

I feel your pain – a paper in Tallahassee on a Sunday costs $3!!! WOOSH!

        • Gil

          Meghan,
in our area here in Acworth/Kennesaw, GA we have folks parked at various shopping centers on both Sat & Sun-hawking papers for $1.50 each. Try to find out if maybe thisis going on near you too.

      • Kaoscasa

I’ve not found it cheaper.  (I’m in Easley).  But am going to look into the Anderson paper instead.

      • Livserge331

Try calling your paper’s circulation department. I was able to get mine to give me a deal since I get 3 papers to the same address. I only pay $15 a month which works out to just over a dollar each instead of $2 each ($28 a month plus tax) from the store!

      • Coupon864

I get the Charlottepaper at publix for $2 and they have the same coupons plus more. I bought both papers for over 2 months and this has been my general observation.

      • ButterflyGirly25

SometimesGroupon has deals on newspapers.  I live in Oviedo, Florida and get the Orlando Sentinel.  I get two Sunday newspapers a week delivered for $20 a year.

      • Gofxj4

I can get a Sunday paper at Dollar tree for, you guessed it, a $1.00!
There is a limit of 5 per person. I am in southern Alabama.

        • Judi

My Dollar tree here in simpsonville, SC stopped selling the newspaper when the price went up too $2.50.  I can’t beleive the big jump from $1.50 to $2.50.  Even my Wal-mart now sells it for $2.50.  I wondering if I am coming out ahead now.

I get the Raleigh, NC Sunday paper delivered. They have a deal where the first paper is $2.25  but you can get up to 9 more for just a $1 each. I get 6 papers each week delivered for just $7.25 per week. They would be $12.00 at my local store.

      • tori729

I stopped buying papers right around when they went up in price.
I am able to get the YES paper on Sundays that’s free (pink package) and the Greer paper on Tuesdays that’s also free. I also have asked my neighbors who never pick their papers up if I can get them so I pick theirs up too. They all have a mixture of the Sunday coupon inserts in them. You could even see if your neighbors who get the actual Sunday paper need their coupons.
If you see others in your area getting the YES paper, you should call the Greenville News and request one for yourself. Also, if you live in a suburb of G’ville you could see if they have a free paper you can get once a week.
You can usually get better deals as well getting the Sunday-only paper subscription delivered to your door. It’s usually best paid for an entire year.

    • Ambie

God bless you all and have a great weekend.

Does anyone know what zip code I can use to get the 2q off of the
Garnier Nutrisse color foam or creme? Thanks for any help!

    • Wethedeans

Here we go with this brain twister again. I have 2 coupons for the Cadbury bars out of the red machine. My cvs has B2G1 free on the bars. How do I make the best of this?

      • Gingiraffe

In my experience if the coupon has a max value (in fine print uder the deal stated on the coupon) then that amount will just deduct from your total when you hand over your coupons.  So, you should get 3.  When they ring up, the 3rd will be free and then hand them your coupons and the max value of each will deduct from your purchase.

    • Couponarlene62

On the pepsi coupon on commonkindness how do you print more than one . The web site that came up for me was one coupon in a 160 day reprint

      • redteapot

Good question, mine said wait 180 days. That’s a long time.

        • Tshockley1

You can only print one every 180 days.  It’s really a shame.

      • redteapot

Just a quick thank you to all of you who responded to my plea about the Common Kindness site. I appreciate all the helpful hints and am now signed up and printing coupons. I REALLY appreciate that none of you came across catty and snide to make me feel like an airhead too :) That was refreshing.

At least once a day at my house :p

      • Martnic75

I have been wondering that forever!! Can you share how I can print coupons on this website because I am totally lost!!
        Thanks!

        • redteapot

I am on my way to church now but you can look at my post and and see the responses. You have to choose some charities from the lists. The bummer is that you can only print one time on coupons and then wait 180 days to print it again.

In my CVS ad  on the Hershey’s pouches you only get $2.00 ECB bucks when you buy 2.

      • Christine

The (2) on the Hershey product line means you have to buy 2.

      • Christine

DUH. I just reread what you posted. I thought you didn’t understand what the (2) meant and you thought it was just for 1… but you were just saying it was only $2 back instead of $3. Who’s the dummy now? :)

    • Happy Feet

My CVS said the $2 Nature Vitamins was not a real coupon… machine would not take it…. :o(
I saw it right on here too… she ask me where I got it… I told her here and she said it was a fake… this was one of the asst. managers. I was so embarrased…:o(
Has anyone else had a problem with the Nature Made $2 coupon?

      • Guest

I had one cashier tell me that she couldn’t take it because it didn’t scan but then I went to another CVS later on in the week and told the cashier that I had trouble with it before but would she try it again. She did and again it didn’t scan but she entered the number on the coupon and it took it just fine. So maybe see if they’ll do that for you?

      • Faye Wilkerson

I used the $2 off coupon last week with no problem.  It was from the Nature Made website.  I don’t think they put fake coupons on their own website.

        • Guest

Most of the stores I went to accepted it and punched it in manually as a manufacturers coupon. I don’t think the register likes it because technically its a Rite aid coupon, however its a manufacturer coupon.

Only one store in the Charlotte market refused to take more then one.

      • My CVS  couldn’t scan that coupon, but the cashier ended up typing it in.  I think the one I had was printed from H.E.B if I remember correctly, but it didn’t say H.E.B. anywhere on it.  I was wondering if that’s why she had trouble with it.

      • ireneY

The Rite Aid one won’t scan. My cashier compared the redemption address on the Q with the address on Naturemade bottle and they were different. That’s how he could tell it wasn’t a manufacturer’s Q. Pretty smart, huh?

      • andi330

If you got it off the Nature Made website, it’s a real coupon. Check if it’s a store coupon. The other thing you might do is recalibrate your printer. I had a rite aid clerk point out to me at one point that my barcodes were printing slightly blurry, which was causing my printed coupons to not scan properly. Once I ran the machine through the calibration the problems stopped. I was lucky, because most stores have policies on printables that if they don’t scan they will refuse them. The manager took the time to actually look at the coupon and figure out why it wasn’t working and then manually key it in and tell me how to fix the problem.

    • Mary W

The $3.00 EB on the Simple pleasures and $1.00 EB on the Doritos must be a regional thing.  My upcoming add has $2.00 on Simple Pleasures and none on Doritos.  I went to CVS tonight (new sale was in effect) and only got a $2.00 on Simple Pleasures however I had a CVS coupon mailed to me for these for $2.00 off 1.

      • Guest

Charlotte market was 2/$6 and you got back $2 EB… But, if you get 2 $1 off coupons, then you can get 2/$4 and get back $2 EB. Still good deal.

        • Guest

Same thing for the Sun Chips.. In the Charlotte market, you don’t get EB’s. There just on sale for 2 / $6…

    • Crownstar

Parade Magazine: Check your Sunday Parade Mag. There are (2) $2.50 off coupons on various (1) Cover Girl lip product. This is the largest coupon value I’ve ever seen for CG; $2.50 off 1 product! Exp 8/31!.   Of course this may be regional but it worth a look. I’m in Jax, FL.  There are no sales for CG this week but a great coupon to hold on too when ECBs are involved.

      • Guest

Where can you get Parade Mag?

        • LuvCpns

          In the Sunday paper.

      • LuvCpns

They are in the Charlotte NC area papers also.

      • Kathy

Over $22 in Coupons booklet on product.  I’m not seeing coupons booklets on products,  in this case I’m+ talking about the -1.00 on crest toothpaste 4 + oz. Where do i find these booklets?  Is there an actual booklet on the toothpaste box

      • RN1couponer

Some Duracell batteries have the coupon booklets inside the packaging and sometimes bounty or Charmin will too.  That is what she is referring to.  If Crest ever has coupons on it, it is usually made into the inside of the box and the values aren’t great.  HTH

Oops, forgot about the Stayfree pads, with the $2 coupon.  So I paid $13.62 for $47.60 worth with $3.75 ECB remaining.  :)

I had it in my Raleigh N&O but not in Burlington Times, or Greensboro N&R

    • aprilinFL

Did anyone get the stayfree coupon. I’m not seeing it. I get the Pensacola newspaper?

      • Lauran

Greenville News had it.  (SC)  Sorry, I know that’s not very helpful to you in FL.

      • I did get it in the Orlando Sentinel.  Just FYI, though, the cashier had some trouble ringing it up both for me and for the lady in front of me who was using the same q.  For the $2.00 pack of Stayfree the q kept ringing up $1.72 instead of $2.00 and she had to manually adjust it.  Also, I found a pack of Stayfree Super Long pads on clearance for .99 cents and I was hoping for a $1.01 overage, but it didn’t give it to me.  The q rang up .99 instead.  :-/  I still got free pads, but ya can’t blame a girl for trying to get an overage lol.

      • Guest

mine doesn’t carry them either so the manager let me pick any other two starbuck’s drinks and manually printed the ecb!

    • Be on the lookout for $1 off 2 Mars singles from the magic coupon machine!  I got one today.  The smaller single candy bars were on sale 2 for $1.  Got two FREE Snickers bars!

    • Girlyghoul

If you pay for the beach items with $30 in ECB would you still get the $10 gas card?

      • Kaoscasa

I’m pretty sure you would.  CVS is not like Walgreens.

      • lay_may

yes, ECB are just like money except you can’t use it to cover tax or certain restricted items (Tabaco (sp?), alcohol, gift cards, etc)

    • Kaoscasa

Mommyof2 asked about bulk papers in Greenville, SC.  Just wanted to let you know that INgles in Powdersville (Hwy 81) sells the Anderson Sunday paper with all the coupons for .99!!!  I was just there and they had plenty of them!!

Anyone else have problems using their $3/2 Garnier Fructis coupons from the link on SS website? They wouldn’t scan at CVS register…well, came up “not found” is what it sounded like to me. The cashier told me that they were sent an email saying that fraudulent coupons could be spotted as ones without a “long” barcode at the bottom. These coupons only had a “upc” looking barcode. But, the still had the “veri-fi” dot-scan barcode and number. When I got home, I looked them up, and it says they’re fine. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Or, if Jenny knows anything b/c she’s in “ca-hoots” with them now. ??? Thanks!

      • Sheila_P

It’s a store coupon for another store, not a manufacturer coupon.  So it’s a good coupon, just can’t be used at CVS.

        • Days1997

jUST NOTICED IT IS A STORE COUPON…BUT WHAT STORE lol.  iT DOESNT SAY!!!

          • 3rdjohnfour

I noticed as well.  The only store I can find on the coupon is SuperValu…like we have any of those around here!  :(

        Great job!

What CVS magazine are you referring to with the Hershey’s Simple Pleasures $2.00/1??? The reinventing beauty?

    • Bamagirl 43

Guys, I got a $5 off a vitamin purchase of $10 from the red box.  The vitamins I want are $9.79.  Will the coupon still work?

      • Mary

        No, you must spend $10.00.

      • Michelle

You can try…I have had a similar situation work for me before!

    • Eden

Just reported the error, but I just went down the street to get some great deals (see below!! :D), and the $3 ECB wyb 2 Hershey’s pouches is actually $2 ECB. It threw off my oop a little bit, since I was planning on this being my first transaction.

      Transaction 1:
      (1) Hershey’s drop pouch, (1) Hershey’s Simple Pleasures pouch– 2/$6
-1 mfr coupon for simple pleasures, $1 off
               – $2 ECB
      Transaction 2:
      (1) box Honey Bunches of Oats– $1.99
               -1 mfr coupon, $1 off 1 box
      (2) Cadbury bars–  2.27 ea
-1 CVS red box coupon B1G1 from last week
      (2) Stayfree pads– $2 ea
               – (2) $2 off coupons from 7/22 paper
      Total Spent: $6.94
      Total Saved: $18.99   !!!!

With all of those pads, and all of that chocolate, I guess I may subconsciously be stocking up for something.

    • Stnycrkr

I was able to set up an account with Naturemaid but was not able to print any of the coupons. Anyone else having this issue?

      • ireneY

I think they use the same system as coupons dot com. If you’re still having trouble, there’s quite a few at coupons dot com as well.

      • Happy in Harned

Did you seperate your purchases or did you buy them all in one transaction. U R a marvelous shopper!

        • VP22

Thank you. It was one transaction. I usually try to keep it at one, no more than two. It’s just easier for me to work out the math that way.

      • Mary

Thanks for sharing this.  I like the way you format it, too — very easy to follow and see what you did.  Great trip!

      • AprilinFl

        Awesome!!

    • Musicladycarla

I ran in to CVS tonight (with my family waiting in the car…) to grab a few things.  I made a mistake and misread the sign on the AMP Energy drinks and only grabbed one.  My CVS doesn’t have the Starbucks Refreshers.  I was hoping to get the ECB for that AMP deal, but I messed up by just getting one.  If I go tomorrow and get one more, will it print the ECB for the deal?

      • Girlyghoul

Check your receipt. It may say something like “1 towards limit. 1 more needed” meanin you’ll get your ECB once you get another 1.

      • Watts_coupons

i must have misread this too but i went in to my cvs yesterday and i told the girl it didn’t print my ecb b/c i thought i only needed to purchase one and she manually printed one for me but it ended up printing a $2 ecb! she was super nice! guess i got lucky!

        • Etaf10

They actually had the wrong signs up in my store saying buy 1, get $1.50 back with “limit 1” in small print. I bought just one and didn’t get anything but the bottom of my receipt says I will get $3 when I buy the second. Weird that the sign was wrong (on both the refresher and amp).

    • Days1997

Anyone know how much the large DOVE chocolate bars are this week???

      • Watts_coupons

they are 2 for $1 and if you have the 40 cents off 2 would make them $0.60 or $0.30 each!!! great deal! i plan on doing this when i get off!

      • Watts_coupons

    • tish

Did the Anderson Independent have the stayfree coupons?

    • Diana

I did not get the $2 stay free coupon from yesterdays paper. Anyone got them that would like to trade or share? Thanks!
      Diana

      • tish

It seems like I always miss the freebie coupons!!!

      • Staci

It was in my AJC but not in the Marietta Daily Journal.  The MDJ, being a smaller paper, gets thinner inserts.  If yours is a small/local paper – it probably is the same.

      • Karen

I didn’t have one in my paper either. I’m in NC.

    • Staci

Bought 2 of the Clearasil PerfectaWash Kits at $19.99 each.  Used B1G1 MQ, and had a $2 off CVS coupon (by email) for any face cleanser product.  Also had a $5 ECB when I checked online.  Not sure what its for – as I was $1.46 from my next Beauty Club reward.  So I paid $12.99 for 2 kits, earned a $5 ECB for the Clearasil deal, and its another $40 in beauty club purchases.

Hoping for good results.  We have had trouble finding products that help my 14 year old’s acne, and can’t afford the prescription stuff.

      • Surfergirl8989

        Proactiv works better than anything!

    • HeatherM221

Very excited that I have a $7 off any P.F. cosmetic coupon from the MCM and next week the skin care, bronzer, blush, foundation, and concealer are all $7.79! I love their bronzer so this is a great deal :)

      • Eccangel31

where did you get the $7.00 off coupon? Thanks

        • HeatherM221

From the magic coupon machine! I got it and a $2 off CVS body wash which basically makes that free too!

      • Eccangel31

where did you get the $7.00 off coupon? Thanks

    • di

Is the $4.99 revlon polish price a sale price?  Or is that the regular price?

      • Crownstar

That’s the regular price; but considered a sale because of the $3 ECBs coming back.

        • di

The ecb makes it cheaper but don’t think that it’s considered a sale in relation to using the 20% off coupon. Thanks

          • di

Went to CVS. The Revlon polish IS on sale. The $4.99 is the sale price so my 20% won’t work.

            • catherine

This is a SALE price, tags are $6.99 and over

      • Miranda

If you are asking this specifically because you are considering using a percentage off coupon, I believe it would be the regular price on most of these nail polishes.  So you CAN use the coupon to cut your costs and the ECBs would still print for you.

        • di

You are correct. I wanted to use my 20% off. At 4.99 and 20% would be $1 off, plus $1 mfg coupon and $3 ecb…it would be free.  THANKS

          • mrn1

Whenever I use a 20% coupon with MQs or CVS Qs, the computer always changes my % off after the Qs are processed.  You may want to pay attention to that.

          • mrn1

      • Dd

If it’s in the ad then it’s considered sale.

        • Not everything in the ad is a “sale” price.  Some ECBs are just ECB deals and the items do not ring up as “on sale”.  I usually check the red machine.  If it has two prices (a reg price and a price with card) it is on sale.  I have been able recently to use a % off coupon on ECB deals to get an even better deal.  HTH

    • Amber

Can the .75/1 Crest Rinse coupon from the July P&G be used with the ECB deal?

      • Streetcoupons

No deal includes only small rinse 250 ml

        • Kaoscasa

Like previous post said, coupon is for a different size so won’t work on this deal.  Bummer!!

      • Canes1999

yes buy 2 crest 500ml rinse use your coupon(s) and get a $5 ECB for spending $10

How much are the Cadbury candy bars for? Currently, they are on sale for B2 G1 free, regular price is $2.19 each, I have a cvs coupon for B1G1 free. I also read in one of the store sign under the candy bars that until August 4th, they are $1.50 each when you buy 2 or more. So if they are ringing up for $1.50 each thats $3  because 3rd bar is free) and if you take out the $2.19 value of the coupon, then the 3 bars are for $.81. If anybody tried this please let me know.

      • HeatherM221

My store has them for $2.37 originally, 2 or more @ $1.50 each and yes my coupon for B1G1 took off $2.19.     So 12 of them like I got came to $28.44 and with all the CVS q’s I had I paid $9 for all of them and I used a $4/$20 coupon so really $5…not bad!

        • Etaf10

Was this before the buy 2 get one free sale that started yesterday?

          • HeatherM221

This was last night around 8 pm. My paper had them advertised that way too but I double checked with the MOD and she really couldn’t explain it either lol…..I don’t know if everyone’s store will be different but I’m just going by what happened at mine.

        • Etaf10

Was this before the buy 2 get one free sale that started yesterday?

      • Etaf10

I did that yesterday. The third rang up free and the one I paid for was $2.19. Thought it would work out the way you said, because last week I bought two for $3 and the coupon took off 2.19. I think the register doesn’t count it as 2/$3 when you get the third one free. Oh well, still a decent deal I guess.

        • HeatherM221

I went back and double checked my receipt bc I didn’t even pay attention a minute ago when I typed my reply if they rang up free.  I was charged $1.50 for each of the 12 bars.  Then at the bottom I had (4) CVS coupons subract $2.19 each time.

      • Rrubies20

You can get the small carmello bars not sure how much they are but the coupon still takes off the ful valu of the coupon

You can get the small carmello bars not sure how much they are but the coupon still takes off the ful valu of the coupon

      • Miranda

I picked up 6 bars and used three of my BOGO coupons.  So in the end I only paid for one bar. (3 free from my coupons and 2 free from the sale).

      • Gatorginger

They are ringing up as $2.19 so with the red machine coupon you get three for $2.19 making them 73 cents each

        • aprilinFL

          Yeah that’s what I paid.

      • Watts_coupons

if i figured right this is what SHOULD happen…should! lol
but if i buy 6 (because i have 3 bogo qs from the machine) and they are $1.50 after you buy 2 . so that would be $9 for al 6 then they are b2g1, so that should take off $3 leaving 6, then if the cvs q takes off the full $2.19, then i shouldn’t pay anything???

        • Watts_coupons

just tried this because i couldn’t stand it lol but the $1.50 is canceled out because of the b2g1 deal. so i paid $2.21 for 6 bars so 36 cents each!!! not bad saved $10.35

      • Watts_coupons

            • Debi12167

In my store in RI in the makeup isle they have the makeup on the wall and then there is like an island of SPECIAL display’s of different makeup. That is where I found them. I think there is a new revlon nail color out so that is why they had it.. :)
It is Actually $2 off ANY REVLON Color Cosmetic! It’s a great coupon so I am going back today to get some more.. :)  Doesn’t expire until 9/30

            • Catherine

These are 2 DIFFERENT coupons: I found $2 off ANY Revlon color cosmetic in one store near new products cardboard displays and $2 off LARGE Dove bar AND Revlon nail polish near cardboard box with Dove chocolate bars -under Red Machine.
I used both for 1 nail polish+1bar= 1 coupon took off only $1.50  , so they are both FREE (tax only) and you’ll get 3 ECB!

            • Watts_coupons

So wait, there’s a q out for $2 Revlon nail polish and a $2 off Revlon and large five candy bar??

            • Sheila_P

I found $2 off tearpad coupons wyb both Revlon nail and a Dove bar. They are on the dove candy shipper near the coupon machine.

    • Arley

Where can I find the $3/2 garnier coupon? The print link takes me to an “oops, I misplaced this page” page.

      • Arley

Never mind, I did more searching, and it’s not good at CVS.

    • HateToBL8

Did anyone get a $5.00 of any vitamin purchase from the red machine that they aren’t going to use.  I would love to have it.  Thank you!

      • Smartshopper

can you use somebody elses coupon?? i tough that coupon work just for that card

        • Watts_coupons

i was thinking the same thing but wasn’t sure. i’ve used a q and ecb that my boss gave me and the it beeped but the cashier over rode it and didnt say anything. so i guess it depends on the cashier/manager/store

        • HateToBL8

Darn! Wasn’t even thinking of that.  Thanks for the reminder.

        • HateToBL8

I don’t know if I have seen it on here or not but, the red machine did print me a $1/2 Mars single candy bars and they are on sale for 2/$1! so when scanned, it made for free! got to love not even having to pay taxes! this is why i am not in love with CVS!

      • Dtcox1

sorry but i just got two free candy bars for .02 tax love cvs

      • MasonsMom

I had to pay tax?? But that was at rite aid….

        • Sheila_P

Different states have different sales tax laws. For example in MD, we don’t have sales tax on food or medicines, but we are charged tax on candy.

          • Watts_coupons

Hum! That’s interesting our fast food taxes are. 10% in CAMDEN SC!!!

          • lori

In MD, we are charged tax on processed foods.  So restaurants, candy, baked goods, etc.  Cake mixes, spices, sugar, etc are considered primary packaging, so no tax.

    • Dtcox1

the red box just gave me 3.00 off any cvs body wash . got a large one for 1.19 thanks makes for a nice gift or for my self

    • tlgagirl

My ad has Dove, Caress body wash 12 oz or bar soap 2 pk on sale 2 for $6.  I received an extracare coupon for $1.50 off any Dove Body Wash (12 oz or larger) and I found a $1.50 off 2 Dove products manufacturer coupon that I would like to use with it.  But the manufacturer coupon says Cannot be redeemed with another offer up under the save amount in the middle of the coupon.  What does another offer imply?

      • mrn1

It is my understanding that it means it can’t be combined with another manufacturer coupon offer.  Many coupons say that.  You should be good to go by using it.  HTH.

        • tlgagirl

           Thanks mrn1!

    • Sunflower_rn2003

Just realized after I printed them the $3/2 Garnier Q is a Store Q, anyone use it??I read through and saw some were going to try? Wondered if you had any luck?

      • Jordyn’s mommy

It’s a no-go. won’t scan at all and clearly says store coupon… they won’t manually put it in because of that.  Register doesn’t recognize the bar code on it.. hth

        • Susanne_pappas

I noticed the $3/2 garnier states sotre Q- but how do you know what store? I don’t see it anywhere?

          • ayatori26

I used my coupon for $3/2, beeped, and the girl just manually pushed it through. It’s a legit printable. Those new single bar code printables are starting to become a pain in the rear end.

    • Kristina

I have a question regarding the coupon policy at CVS. I’d like to do the $2 ECB WYB participating Crest Products. It says Limit 2

Here’s my scenario: I’d like to buy two Crest Pro Health with Scope at $2.99 and I have two $2.00/1 coupons. Can I do this in the same transaction and receive $4 ECB? Or do I need to separate into two transactions. Thanks for any help on this!!

      • Jordyn’s mommy

yes, you can do it all at once and it will print both $2 rewards in the form of a $4 one… HTH!

        • Kristina

          Thank you!!

      • Bamasaver

Yes, at CVS you can purchase both in a single transaction & get the ECB for both (it will be a $4 ECB rather than two $2 ones).

        • Kristina

          Thank you!!

    • Watts_coupons

Just a heads up…the coupon machine.printed a $4 off Nice & easy hair color and it should be a money maker next week. I saw.a.ad.scan for the color blend foam for $7.99 and there should be a $3 off 1 q this Sunday with a $2 ecb!!

    • Staci

I’ve got $14 in ECBs.  Just printed $5 from the Beauty Club and have $9 from deals this week.  Looking forward to see what next week has in store.  :)

Tonight I got two coupons from the coupon machine- one was for $2 off of any CVS brand body wash and one was for $2 off any 2 body washes. They have this brand of body wash called “Escape” and I guess it is made by CVS? but it is $2/4 this week and I was able to use both coupons which made my total $0.14!

      • Mcleodsc

It  IS made a CVS product

      • ayatori26

I received the same type of coupon. But it also stated that it was $2 of 2 body washes or 2 bar soaps. The Yardley Bar Soap is on sale for  .69 ea. Money maker! Even at .69 each, they’re a great price. Love the smell of them. I would shave them and put them in coffee filters in the bathroom to give it a little boost of fragrance.

    • lee

The Revlon Colorstay Nail polish is great!  Get it this week for only $2 each after the EC bucks.  I have a problem with nail polish not lasting more than two days, even the gel kind didn’t work for me.  I tried this and I get a solid week or more everytime.

    • I got a $2 off any 2 body wash or bar soap coupon from my account at CVS.com.  Took it to the store  yesterday and found Yardly lavender soap on sale from $1.69 a bar to .69 cents!  A little bit of a money maker!  I don’t use the soap myself, but it’ll make a nice gift for my mom combined with some other things.

    • kim

Hi! I am kinda new to this, so I have a question.  I have a B1G1 coupon for Cadbury Candy Bar from the redbox, in my sales paper they are buy 2 get 1 free.  Does this mean I need to get three bars and only have to pay for 1?

      • kim

Never mind, I found my answer, sorry.

    • joaniec

In case you might not have noticed there are two  $2.50 Cover Girl coupons in the Sunday Parade magazine.  One coupon is for Outlast lipcolor the other for Lipperfection lipcoor, Blast Lipstick or Oulast Lipstain.

The Sun Chip/Doritos listing isn’t correct.  Their not giving you an ECB they’re letting you know there is a coupon in “most Sunday’s papers”. So you are getting them, with coupon, for 2/$5 no ECB.

Same thing with the Pringles also.

Great Day at CVS! My girls both like to scan my card and get the coupons usually I make them take turns with each trip but this time I let them both try and I hit the jackpot with 5 coupons on each scan and they all were different!  I could only use 2 for this trip but it made money makers on both. Milky Way which were .50 each and the cpn $1/2 and I had .75/2 man, and $1.50/2 Crest which went with the Crest complete $2 ECB and I had (1) .75 man.

Gotta love that I have taught him already what is important :)

My $3 John Frieda coupons were for Full Repair products.  Was there another John Frieda $3 coupon?  I wanted to do that deal, but they didn’t have enough Full Repair products.

Thank you to everyone on here who posts your finds!  I just went to CVS this evening because my hubby loves the Crest pro-health toothpaste.  Thanks to all of you (and the magic machine) I also picked up FREE kids vitamins for our daughter, FREE CVS body wash (well OK I paid 0.37 for it big deal), FREE Stayfree pads, and 2 FREE pretzel m&m singles (2 for $1.00, and $1.00 off 2 Q from the magic machine.)  Thank you, Jenny, and all of the posters for all that you do to help out.
