the cpn for angel soft says double rolls. Will it work with the product on sale??

      • Numberzero2

I was wondering that too.  Has anyone used the coupons and did they work?

    • gigi

Are the prices for the BIG DEAL listed before the $5 is taken off or after?

      • Audley79

         after

    • Hecyeh

The food lion ad for locust, nc is different and does not have the big 10 deal. Many of the other prices are different also. The ad also states the first 50 customers Wed – Sat. will receive a food lion reusable shopping bag. This is 2 weeks now that the ad has been different. I wonder if they are test marketing different deals for different areas?

      • Kwaltower

I live in Waxhaw, NC and my ad is different too. The Big 10 isn’t going on here either. We do have the shopping bag offer for the first 50 customers Wed- Sat.

        • MacBear1000

I think you both are right.  I was going to call my family that live in coastal NC as opposed to myself in Western and let them know about the free groceries, but I just checked their flier on the FL website and they have the big deal going on, and no free groceries.  However, I know where they live there isn’t much competition, unless you want to drive out to Walmart.

        • Crystalgoodwin3

We live in Carteret County on the coast and no free groceries here. But we do have the Big Deal event going on. Pairing it with the $5 off $30 makes for some great deals.

    • JTTLC

For the first time in years I think I will pick up a couple of items at Food Lion.  As with the other comments my ad is different than above (I am in Lancaster, SC) and there are some great deals (I never see great deals at FL) such as $1 apple juice and .50 bread.  Maybe they are finally getting the idea that they need to change up some to be competitive with the Bi-Lo stores in the area.  It would be nice to have another store to shop at for potential sales.

    • Missdtea

The Angel Soft on sale is not the double roll. The coupon is for double rolls and can’t be used on this product.

Was just told by local manager here in charlotte that all our local Food Lion stores are giving away free groceries to the 1st 100 customers tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Drastic price drops are taking place too!! Dont look for end cap sales or displays… ~~Food Lion is dramatically changing~~

        All Food Lions in Charlotte?

      • I live in Lake Wylie and my local ad says “Free bag of Food Lion store brand production to the first 50 shoppers each day. Wed – Sat * July 18th -21st.”

How does the free bag of groceries work? Do you just have to walk in and you get a bag or do you have to purchase something first?

      • sjgsjg

when they did this in Virginia, you just had to show up and they gave you the bag when you walked in the door… no purchase required.

      • Donette9

You have to purchase something…a pack of gum will work

        • Girly

          No purchase necessary.

      • Girly

I did not purchase anything and got the bag of My Essentials items when I walked in the door.

    • Daylog

free bag, last time they didnt do it here in nashville,nc  anyone no if its happening here this time??

    • Daylog

nashville,nc area?? anyone no about free bag!!???

    • Guest

the free bag is in Charlotte only this week from what I understand…

    • Donette9

Just left foodlion in Roebuck, SC. Got a free reusable bag filled with my essentials…paper towels, chocolate tasteeos cereal, saltines, BBQ sauce, ketchup, spaghetti noodles, and dish washing detergent!

    • Dixielee323

Just came from Food Lion and I got there at 6:45 am right after I got off work.  There were people in a line from the door into the parking lot.  I didn’t think I’d have a chance at getting a free bag, but sure enough the manager handed me the last ticket as I walked in.  Lucky me.  The checkout was fast and everyone was nice (Thomasville, NC).  I think they handed out 100 tickets at this store because I was the last to walk in and after that the manager began handing out another lot of tickets to customers coming through the door.  I don’t know for sure though.  Anyways, get the good deals while they last.  And if you score a free bag, be thankful and be happy :)

    • Guest

Woo Hoo I was able to go to 2 different food lions and get free bags of groceries so excited.

      • Mtmkjr

Might have been nice to let some other person have a free bag, rather than taking 2

        • Couponcrazyciara

You don’t know her situation. Do not be rude.

          • couponmomof5

I did not find Mtmkjr’s comment rude. Do yo know the situation of the person who will not get a free bag now because someone took 2 instead of 1??? Maybe the person who is not getting that second bag they took cannot feed her children now. Ever consider that? Also, a person in NEED of free groceries is not going to start her sentence with WOO HOO. I am not trying to be rude, just a matter of opinion. we all have one.

    • MacBear1000

According to my food lion flier, the bag of free groceries for our stores are for the first 50 customers Wednesday – Saturday.  This is for the Conover, Hickory, Hildebran, Longview, and Newton, NC stores.  Also, my ad is a little different than what Jenny has too, not doing the Big Deal, and some slight price differences.  I used to go to food lion all the time, until I got into couponing, and prefer other stores I can get better deals at.  However, I do still check out FL for their meat mark downs on Fridays… shoot in my area there has to be some serious competition between FL, Lowes, Bi-Lo, Walmart, Target, and Aldi (I even drive to another county to go to HT), even though they did close out our HT and our Bottom Dollar (which I know is owned by FL).

      • Leeanneowens

Lincolnton, NC is not doing the Big Deal either.  I asked the manager and he said that they aren’t going to be doing it anymore and that they are going to stop doing it at all Food Lion’s because it was confusing to so many customers.  I was really disappointed.  I hope he is mistaken.

    • Woolybp

Our Food Lion has the Angel Soft / Brawny / Sparkle for $1 not .50

      • Kcreviews

The .50 price is after the Big Deal discount.

      • I paid $1, too. Really getting disgusted here.

        • Debbie Parnell

If you read at the top she says the price is after the big deal discount

    • Kcreviews

I got a great deal at FL today–bought 10 items that qualified for the Big Deal…paper towels for .50, taco seasoning mix for .29 and 3 free Toaster Strudels after rebate.

    • Anpowel2
    • Seriouslycoupons

Where is the rebate code on the toaster strudels?! After buying 9, I came home to find out I can’t find a rebate code.

      • Thall561

You needed to get the specially marked boxes

    • Seriouslycoupons

What is the Big Deal and how does it work.  I called my local Food Lion and they didn’t seem to know anything about it.

      • Mine didn’t know anything about it either and I, like a fool, had already picked up all the items. This must be only for very limited areas. Not Lake Wylie, SC, that’s for dang sure!

      • Mine didn’t know anything about it either and I, like a fool, had already picked up all the items. This must be only for very limited areas. Not Lake Wylie, SC, that’s for dang sure!

    • Jen

Toaster Strudels are on sale $2/ each in Charlotte.  I found this out after going to the store thinking I was going to get them for the $1.50 listed above…

      • Audley79

that  is because jenny lists the price AFTER the big deal promo.  So it is an extra 50 cents off each item if you do the deal.  So with the deal they would be $1.50 like stated above

    • Cheryl

The wishbone salad dressing is BOGO.Does anyone know how much it is in the Charlotte stores? TIA

    • Guest

I’m really new to couponing so I went to food lion today to gnet the toaster strudels which I thought were $1.50(should of read the post a little closer) when I got to the register and realized that they are $2 so I tell her that I want to put some back and she rings me up and I pay. As I’m paying I notice that she’s holding my coupons and looking at em weird but I figure she is just annoyed with me because of the coupons so I ignore it. As I’m driving along I’m doing some math in my head I it doesn’t seem to add up so when I get home I look at my receipt and SHE DIDN’T SCAN MY COUPONS!!!!  I am so mad! She totally knew she did it! What do I do now??

      • tracie

If you live close to this grocery store, you need to go back asap and talk with the manager so they can pull the register tape from the day of your purchase and give you the money back you are owed. Then, make sure you explain how this all occurred due to her inability to do her job well.

        • Sunbeamgirl

Most stores have cameras installed where mgt. can go back & review! My b/f works at a FL & thats what they do all the time when a customer comes in saying they didnt get the merch. they paid for. Sometimes its true….sometimes the customer is  just trying to get something for nothing! Worth a shot though!

      • i would take your receipt back their and tell them the employee took your coupons, really she did and she probably kept them for herself or the store is trying to scam you, and tell them to give you the amount off they owe you and tell them they should give you something free for the trouble you went through if they don’t want to give you money back they owe you for the coupons they took then i would tell them i can get your store for coupon fraud for trying to get money from the manufacture without selling the product on the coupon then they will change their mind, i have went through this problem already and it sucks but they are probably doing this to other people, the kroger that is near me got in trouble for what your food lion is doing and the supervisor went to jail where she’s ment to be, its sad when a store you come to trust does this, but you got to stand up for yourself and don’t allow anyone to scam you ;)

    • guest

My food lion has the DiGiorno Dipping Strips pizza for $4.99.  It’s not a sale, just the regular price, and it’s cheaper than the Walmart price.

    • Carrie_C

Has anyone tried or does anyone know if you can combine a paper coupon with an e-coupon like you can at Harris Teeter?  I read the coupon policy and did not see it addressed.

      • guest

I have done that at food lion before and they never say anything.

    • Campmyrtle

Does anyone know if I can buy 30 packages of the Angel Soft TP for $1, than use the $5 of $30 purchase and than have the $15 come off for buying 30 to make the total $10 for 30 rolls?

      • Crystalgoodwin3

        You should be able to.

      • guest

I don’t think it will work someone else said they were going to use $5 off 5 and the cashier had to scan their mvp card 1st because the q beeped.

      • guest

      • Sandra

I stopped by Food Lion this morning and got a free bag of groceries and 30 packages of toilet paper for $10 plus tax. Hope you can find 30 packs. My store had plenty because no one had figured the deal out yet.

    • auntpammy2000

Store in Walkertown, NC told the me the 4 pk Angel Soft on sale was for regular rolls and not double. My coupon states double rolls. They did not carry the one in the ad. If I find it in another store, will I be able to use the coupon?

    • HaydenRossi

Don’t miss out on the Old El Paso taco seasoning packets on the Big Deal promotion.  They’re a great filler item if you want a few things from the Big Deal, but need a little more to get the $ off. My store had them for $.69, making them $.19 after the $ back.

      • AB

Not sure if anyone has posted this, but the Big Deal promotion is regional – I was disappointed to find out that none of the stores in my area are participating.  What a bummer!

    • Crystalgoodwin3

Does anyone know how often Food Lion does the $5 off $30 coupon?
