Does anyone have a zip that worked for Morningstar? Thx!

      • Watts_coupons

i haven’t found it yet but if you use $1 off it will make it $1.20 not 97 cents :/

        • stacie

I believe that the morning star price is actually $3.95, not the $4+ she has listed.  In that case, using $1 off will make it the $.97/each.

I am very excited about the school supplies. I am going to stock up now.   I also had a question for all you couponers out there.  When I first starting couponing I remembered hearing that certain stores ads would ring up “early”.  For instance, my Publix in Coral Springs new ads start Thursday, but I thought I heard you could go Wednesday night and still get those deals.  is that true?  What about CVS?  My Cvs is open 24 hours, when d their Sunday ads  start ringing?

      • Hillary

that is def not true at my publix. ive only heard this about walgreens and its not every store and its not all the time

      • Poohlar

doesnt work at my Publix but does work at CVS they change over at 6:00pm Sat. and Ive done that before.

      • couponinglink

My CVS starts at 10 PM Saturday night.

    • How does the Upromise coupon work? I signed up for an account but cannot for the life of me find where to print an elmers coupon!

      • andi330

I was confused by the printable link too. Generally upromise coupons don’t print. They load to a card (Publix has a upromise card you can use for this if you don’t already have one) and work similarly to savingstar in that the savings actually go into your upromise account, you don’t get it at the register. This is an ecoupon, not a printable. Once you are logged in, hover over “Earn” then click on coupons then click grocery ecoupons and load it to your card. If you don’t have a upromise card for publix yet they are either found in the coupon spinner right inside the door, or they are at customer service.

        • Teamderby61

i just left my local publix store, asked if they had a card program they told me no??? so im confused about this upromise card??? nashville tn

          • Kaoscasa

They have a card that you get.  It adds to an Upromise account. But I didn’t get much money in there until I took their Upromise credit card.  I charge everything and it adds up much faster.  Good thing–my daughter’s tuition bill of $8700 is due in 4 weeks to College of Charleston!!

          • tina

no they don’t have a “card program” but they do have upromise cards.  i am sure they thought you meant a loyalty card like cvs or winn dixie.   next time you are there ask specifically for the upromise card and they should have them at customer service.  and yes andi330 is correct upromise coupons do not print you go into your account every month and choose the “coupons” that you think you will use and when you buy those items using your upromise card it will credit to your account. you can also add your cvs, rite aid and winn dixie cards too!!!!!!!!

Am I doing my math wrong? On the Scotch scissors, I am coming out to 54 cents each whether I buy 4 and use the $2 off coupon, or buy 6 and use the $3 off coupon.

      • Bmg38

In Florida, we can’t buy a single and pay the 1/2 price if it’s bogo.  We have to buy 1 at full price and get the 2nd for free.  So to get 5, we pay 2.09 x3 for 6 of them, use $3 coup, makes it 54 or 55 cents each.  It may be different in different areas, but for my area, you’re correct.

        • soundring

Oh yes, I forget that it’s different outside of Florida. That explains it. Thanks!

    • soundring

You don’t print it, you just add it to your account. You link your store cards (CVS, Winn Dixie, and Publix Upromise card) on the Upromise website so they can keep track of what you purchase. The 75 cent coupon will be a deposit made to your Upromise account when you purchase the product at one of the stores that participates in Upromise.

Anyone have any idea what size the Elmer’s glue sticks are? My daughter’s school supply list has the larger 0.77 oz size on it. I’m guessing the one in this ad is the smaller size.

      • SarahH

Don’t kill yourself trying to buy the exact item on the school list.  It all goes into a big pile to get doled out to everyone anyway and the majority of familes don’t contribute.  If you see a good deal, pounce on it and send it all into the classroom.  The teachers are grateful for ANY supplies that come in so that they don’t have to cover it themselves.  Don’t forget to send in snacks and especially breakfast foods for all the kids that come in hungry, if you can.
God Bless you for your generosity.

        • Daphne Solberg

Thanks Sarah! My daughter is going to be in kindergarten and she’s my first so this is my first year school shopping. Your post has helped me relax a little and reminded me not to sweat the small stuff!!! Thanks!

Found them!  The HEB threw me off.

         I found $1 and $2 off, but can’t find $3 off.

      • Flyinghoges

make sure you type in the 77477 zip code.  The only two on there were the $2 off 4 and $1 off 3.  Just printed them 10 minutes ago

    • Ashley

Whats the best time to buy school supplies?  I usually get them during my state’s (Florida) tax free holiday without really even paying attention to the price.  Do you guys think that the prices will be lower than these prices?

      • JustMe

Crayola usually .25, glue sticks – not likely to be less, white school glue is usually .01 at office depot

      • Jcislife

If you are only “saving” the tax, then it’s only about 7% (or whatever your tax rate is).  Usually you can find supplies for much cheaper.  If you keep an eye on the sales starting now, you’ll probably be able to get all the items you need at “acorn” prices – meaning you’ll save much more than the sale+7% from the tax free holiday – probably closer to 60-70%.

      • Kaoscasa

I’d not wait til that tax free holiday.  often you will miss some good sales to save 7 cents on the dollar.  I did that one year and regretted it.

      • coupon mama

this is my first year back to school shopping :) but when we used to take our nieces shopping we would always get the school supplies  when they were really cheap (usually when they first start b2s advertising) and then during the tax free holiday wed just buy school uniforms and what not…

    • coupon mama

ok, so I have a question. I havent been couponing for long, maybe 8 months. but if the printable coupons only let you print two… how do people stock pile?? I used to coupon at one of our local publix but due to the high volume of couponers they told me i had to go to another store. I used to special order my items so I didnt clear shelves during their good sales. theres a group of girls that coupon at my same publix, but they order 200 +. So after going to several publix in my area i found one that will either give me rain checks for up to 10 items or i can special order anything but i cant go over 20, which is fine by me bc most of the time I order what my family needs. BUT my friends daughter works at that publix and she was the cashier for the group of girls that extreme coupon. she said that they had ordered 1000 cases of powerade, 700 bottles of suave shampoo, 1500 bottles of advil, and 200 bottles of sunblock and she had $2,000 in overage that she put on gift cards bc they cant give her the cash back. But she said those girls had coupons for every item that made them free or money makers. she asked where they get all the coupons and they said they buy out all the coupons on ebay when things go on sale. now im on this site all the time and I have never seen powerade on sale for a stockpiling price…what am i doing wrong lol, or what are they doing wrong??

      • andi330

You can print two per computer. So if you have two computers at home, you can actually print four coupons. I have 2 computers and my printer has a coupons.com app that counts like a third computer, so I can print six of any coupons.com printer. Supposedly there is an ipad/iphone app that you can print coupons from as well. I have both an ipad and an iphone, so that would be an additional 4 coupons, if I could get the app to work. I have a compatible printer, but so far I have had zero luck printing from the app. All I get is a blank page. The printer company swears it is the app, not their printer, and coupons.com tells me to install the coupon printer thing, which cannot be installed on an ipad/iphone, so they are no help either. Even so, with two computers and the printer app, I can print 6 of any coupon from coupons.com. There is not currently a smartsource app for my printer, so I am limited to 4 of any smartsource type of coupons.

        • Rubies20

There is a coupons dot com app for iPad, iPhone etc but you have to have a hp wireless printer I had a hp but it tore up then I bought a brother printer and it doesnt work I was so mad because I used to be able to print alot of one coupon (3 iPhones and 3 printers) if it was something my family used alot of there are 6 of us

          • andi330

I have an HP wireless printer. I specifically chose this printer because it was supposed to work with the coupons.com app. It doesn’t and coupons.com is no help. HP swears it is a problem with the app and that the app maker will have to fix it. Coupons.com told me to install the coupon printer which is a .exe file that you cannot install on an ipad or iphone. If you google it there are a lot of people that have this problem. Some people have managed to get it to work, but most people seem unable to do so. My printer claims it is printing the coupon and the app recognizes as having been sent to the printer. I know this because if I tell it to print twice from the ipad, then I can’t print it anymore because the print limit has been reached. However the only thing that comes out of my printer when this happens is a blank sheet of paper. I have basically given up. Other internet folks indicate that they have spoken to coupons.com about it with no success either. They seem to be aware that it is a problem, but are not motivated to fix the issue.

        • Rubies20

I u have a wireless hp printer u can print from an iPod iPhone ipad

      • Lauran

That sounds like something you’d see on Extreme Couponers the show…I know that my Publix in SC has a limit of 10 like coupons per transaction.  So even if you were to get that many coupons, you’d have to do a ton of transactions.  I have gotten up to about 15 like coupons–someone I know gets them from the recycling center–but still made two trips to Publix that week to use them all. Even using ten in one trip gets me some dirty looks, I can’t imagine trying to do something like that!

I never get coupons from eBay, because I’ve heard many of them are fraudulent.  My honest advice would be–try to stick with couponing on a smaller scale.  You can still get a nice stockpile without ordering hundreds of items and doing a million transactions.

        • Lauran

Um, don’t know why this is showing up under this post as well.  (Or is it just on mine?)

          • Lauran

…and now it’s gone.  Weird.  (My original reply was showing up under another post…no idea what happened there!)  Moving on…

        • coupon mama

I live in florida, and the one publix i tried going to said you can only purchase 5 of the same deals per shopping trip and you cant separate the transactions. Im not worried about getting 900 plus items, i just want to know how she gets that much overage….i think its a bit overboard and eventually she might ruin it for us regular couponers

        • coupon mama

I wouldnt’ beleve everything I heard. Our Publix in the Upstate SC allows only up to 10 coupons doubled.  I DO buy of ebay and have for years. Have NEVER been sold a fraudulent coupon.  I buy as soon as an item is listed on sale the next week.  I try to buy close to SC so it will arrive by Saturday or so.  Just stockpile as you can and it will slowly build up.

      • ImaMum32

Those people should not be able to get more than 10 of any item ordered at one time (unless they have a lot on their shelves). Publix has implemented a new policy company wide about two months ago that prevent anyone from being able to do big orders such as that. I used to place orders for 100-400 items at the beginning of a sale in order to donate to the 3 non-profits that I help. Needless to say, I can no longer do that. The 3 Publix stores that I shop at all tried ordering the items in different ways through different sources, and they were all told the same thing from corporate. Corporate sent a notice out to stores when the policy changed.

        • coupon mama

yea i used to be able to order big bulk items, the most i ordered was 200 hefty pans, but ive never ordered anything just to get the overage. I know the one girl who does it, ive run into her many times at publix and i asked her what she does with all the stuff because everytime i have run into her she has 5-10 shopping carts full. She said she goes to the flea market and sells its. I told her about a few places that Ive donated to in the past and she rudely said “i put my time into couponing Im not giving my crap away”. But i thought it was crappy when i went to go put an order in that publix told me “due to high volume of couponers we cant special order anymore items bc our stock room is becoming a customer storage room” the couponing girls were right there too and the customer service manager says “we can only allow 500 items to be special ordered” and the couponing girl says “yea so that means Im ordering 250 and my friend is ordering 250” then the manager told me to try another publix. One publix wouldnt even accept all my coupons. the manager says its too much of a hassel to get into and just bc the store makes some money off of coupons its not much for the hassel. I luckily found one that will let me special order but it cant be over 20 and sometimes it takes weeks to get it in. But i think its rediculous that the one publix tells me they cant order over 500 but yet those girls can order thousands!

          • Days1997

500!!???  I cant buy TEN of an item, without being grumbled at!!!!

      • Tiffany

If you collect the coca-cola caps and enter the codes on mycokerewards you can redeem the points for coupons for free 20 oz powerades, cokes, and waters.  This may be how they are getting the powerades for free.

        • Guest

Beware… the coca-cola site will wipe away all of your points if you do not consistently log on and enter codes on a regular basis.  I didn’t enter for a couple of months and they wiped away all of the points that I had been accumulating for the last year.  A whole lot of wasted time for nothing and the coupons were never all that great anyhow.  I won’t be wasting any more time on that site.

          • Guest

Its states on the coke cola site that you have to be active log in/ put points in etc. at the LEAST every 90 days or they think that you ababoned the site.Read the rules before you get mad at what you did wrong.

      • Tiffany

Yes, that makes me so mad.  I buy ten papers a week…I have six kids and a husband, and the ten papers seem to sustain us pretty well.  Every once in a while, there will be a deal that is awesome, and I might buy or trade for an extra ten coupons…twenty tops.  I get GRIEF when trying to even buy ten of an item, even though that is their policy. I was in the Publix the other day and there was a lady there.  I heard the front line manager say to a stockboy, “Hey could you go in the back and get her special order…its those three rolling carts.”  OK, so I just had to watch this unfold.  He comes out with these huge stock carts with CASES of stuff, and she goes to checkout with HUNDREDS of coupons…just like on the show.  Im not the kind of person to make a scene, or loudly proclaim “WHY CAN SHE GET ALL THAT, but we are limited to ten!!??”  I have no idea the details, but I know the rules do not apply to all.

        • coupon mama

I understand how you feel! I just got back from my publix and the manager that i talk to everytime im in said that corporate is talking about changing their policies bc of those girls. she said they want to do away with stacking coupons or do away with overages, and if you are donating to charities you have to get a form from the charities stating that you agree to donate your items to them. She said there will be alot of mad customers but theres always someone who ruins it for everyone.

        • Clmjdm63

My publix is like that!  One minute I can get all I want and others I can’t get but 10.  But I dont clear the shelves.  If I want more than 20 of something I ask if they have more and then I will get more but they should stick to the policy for everyone!!!

My Publix (St Augustine, FL)is only allowing me to use (1) $5 off/ $30 Winn Dixie competitior coupon per check out, before I was able to use 1 for each $30 spent.  Anyone else having this issue?  It is a major pain to split up my cart/coupons into $30 increments!

I don’t have any problems using more than one at mine here in Ocala, Florida

      • Alyson

That seems to be an area that the manager can decide; in my town one does and one doesn’t!

      • Days1997

Heck, my publix wont even let me do multiple transactions to use more than one of these.  The second transaction, I am told “sorry…youve already used one.”

        • Clmjdm63

I am in Alabama and my publix is like that.  Thanks goodness I have 3 to choose from which are not very far away from one another.  So if I have a problem with them not letting me do another transaction I say well you can put this stuff back and I’ll go to another one.  The last time I did that the manager said well we will do it this one time??!!!  It’s according to how their day is going I think!!

It seems the closer you get to the coastline its like the more stringent they get with their policies! I just don’t get it. My parents have a Publix in Orange Beach Alabama where they have a condo and they don’t double coupons there even though I sent my mother a copy of their coupon policy. but their BOGO’s are half price each and you only have to buy one if you want. So it’s like they are mashing together the Florida policy and the Alabama Policy!

        • kinys

I have the same problem (Florida), so I take my daughter and give her cash to pay for one smaller transaction then I use another on the rest that I pay for, but that’s still only two and she has to pay for the other one.  (She’s only 9!!)

      • Heather

I am in SW Florida and I always ask the cashier if it would be okay to use 1 or 2. I mention that some cashiers will take more than 1 and others will only take 1. Every time I ask their preference they always say they will take 2.
I haven’t tried asking if they will take more than 2, even though I could use 5 with the amount I spend. I figured 2 is the most they would probably take.

      • Irisnjohns

Publix is the most generous grocery store with their coupon policy.  I am most grateful and would never complain as to how they accept the $5/$30 because they can cancel their policy on accepting other competitors coupons at any time.  I also use the $5/$30 W/D coupons and have just ordered more which will last me about a year. When paying for these coupons, I think about the loss that I will incur IF they change their policy.  It is very important for couponers to acknowledge the generosity and show our appreciation and thankfulness to Publix employees.  Complainers are noted by the management and one day they may decide – they don’t want to make it so easy for us.  As for splitting up your cart, I sort of run a total in my head while shopping.  If I have more expensive items like meat, half n half, toilet paper, etc (i.e. $5.00 to 10.00 items), I just put them in front of my cart until I reach the $30.00 mark.  Then, when I get to the cashier, I tell the person I have two orders because I have the $5/$30 coupon.  I don’t ask if they will run the entire order, accepting more than one W/D coupon.  Most of the cashiers split the order, but occasionally I will have a cashier volunteer to say that they will run the entire order and accept two coupons.  I don’t want to approach the manager on this issue; I don’t want to call attention to what could be perceived as being difficult and ungrateful.  A $5.00 coupon is huge!   I shop Publix exclusively.  I am in the Jacksonville area.

        • Bruliz

Hey I know this is kind of random but I’m actually moving to the Jacksonville area in a month i’m in Naples right now, I was just wondering, how the stores are with accepting coupons there? Here my Publix is FANTASTIC and accepts every coupon I bring up no questions asked. Im excited to move but am not looking forward to finding all new stores to shop at!

          • Welcome to Jacksonville!

Each Jacksonville Publix has a list of competing stores whose Q’s they will accept.  That list varies from store to store. My Publix accepts Target, Whole Foods, Winn Dixie… and there might be another I can’t remember.  I have found the cashiers and managers to be very gracious and helpful when using coupons.

Up here in the Atlanta area we sometimes get $5/30 Publix Q’s on the back of little flyers.
I keep careful track of my Q’s as I build up to the $30. mark with items in my cart. I put together the lowest OOP per $30. transaction.
I take DH most trips with these Q’s so he can do the oh so simple trans, take a load to the car, rinse & repeat. He does get a kick out of the cashier oohing and ahhhing his low OOP’s. I make it easy for him so he doesn’t freak.
I will sometimes get 8-10 of these hi valu Q’s. Never have had issues separating orders atckout.
I’d go to another nearby P. Don’t have time to fool with such foolishness. On to thenext deal at the next store! :)

        • NiaLee

Hi Nikki – I’m in metro Atlanta too. I’ve only gotten one or two of the $5/30 coupons. How do you get yours? Are they in the mid-week AJC?

      • Sheena

My Publix in (Fort lauderdale, fl)  will only allow you to use one $5/30 per transaction. I break up all my transactions in increments of $30

        • Jenn D

my publix in sunrise lests me use as a$5/$30 for every $30 before coupons in 1 transaction…don’t think thyey want to waste their time ringing up multiples

      • Sweepsgirl

St. Johns – my cashier did that once. I complained and the manager waived it.  The next time I asked if I had to split up the transaction and the cashier said no…haven’t had to since.  It is a pain.

$1.00 off $5.00 or more purchase on Crayola’s Facebook page! Will definitely pair nicely with this weeks sale :-)

Elmer’s glue sticks were .10 per single at my Walmart in Mt. Juliet TN last night.  I’ve never seen them that cheap.

      • coupon mama

I just went to my walmart here in florida they had the glue sticks for .10, they were getting ready to fill the bright orange back to school display and this lady took the whole entire box of glue sticks!!!!!! I asked her if i could have a couple and she said no and walked away from me!!!

        • Stepphhoovler

People are so greedy anymore… it makes me sick! Im sure if you ask a manager they can get you some… $0.10 is a good buy.

          • Qpon Queen77

thats such a shame!!!! some people just spoil it for everybody.See if they will give out rain checks.

          • coupon mama

I know!!! I talked to a few managers this morning bc they didnt restock yesterday when i went lol, and she said they wont give out rain checks for school supplies unless its not during the back to school event. she told me to come back about midnight when they are stocking shelves….i think ill just go to the dollar store or else where lol

          • Days1997

These are very small and skinny.  I almost bought three, but put them back.

        • Dressviolet

Wow, that’s terrible. What is she going to do with a whole box of glue sticks? They will dry out if she thinks she’s going to store them.

          • Days1997

Probably a teacher.  They buy many supplies from their own pocket…but I cant see a teacher not wanting to let you buy ONE for yourself!

        • Jessica

Sometimes I can’t believe that I am of the same species as people like that

          • me

People should not judge so harshly.

If you have an Office Max around, they have a four pack for .25 this week! :)

        • Darrrrksunshine

Why on earth would you need so many glue sticks?  Can a child (or however many are in a large family) go through that many glue sticks?  What am I missing?

          • guest

Maybe she’s a teacher!  (and she’s trying to buy supplies for her classroom with her 100 dollar BEP allowance)

            • coupon mama

mmmm maybe a daycare but idk too many schools who would hire someone with no teeth, piercings on her face and tattoos on her neck….

            • Soberkitty

Yikes! Sounds like she may be running her own daycare or………and I just thought of this, she may suffer from an eatting disorder called PICA where you have the compulsive urge to eat odd or foreign items like dirt and baking soda, and even paste and glue!

            • Vo

               again< retarted

maybe she has a daycare or maybe shes going to give some to kids in need.

          • coupon mama

She was just being greedy, I highly doubt she was a school teacher….idk any school that would hire a lady who dressed talked and looked like her…id be concerned for the kids

        • Soberkitty

Guys my guess is Teacher! Be kind she may have been defensive but I know tons of teachers who buy school supplies out of their own pocket. I really try to help support the schools and shelters by snatching up all the under .25 school supplies I can find and bringing them in to schools and churches.

          • Vo

ummmm, what about the person that wanted to buy a couple for her own children??????

        • tina

reagrdless of the reasons for her thinking she needed so many it was still rude. ;)

        • NiaLee

I agree – that was really rude of her to not let you have a couple.

Question… if I use the Common Kindness coupon site (therefore having to choose a charity in order to get a coupon) does that put me on that charity’s email/mailing list which means my information will probably be given to every charity organization out there to bug me?

      • Qpon Queen77

probably. but ifs it a really good qpon, just set their emails as spam.

        • Glidinggirls

I was told by CVS that my Mt. Dew coupons that I printed from Common Kindness were fraudulent. I mean, I don’t know how. It had my name on it and everything! And it’s for charity!! Really!

          • jennaj81

try a different store or cashier. sometimes they just freak out when coupons look different that usual. they are totally NOT fraudulent. I have used them everywhere with no problems!

          • Earthsavr

I have had that happen to me 2 times. Once at Whole Foods and once at Publix. It took WF 5 minutes and 5 people to decide they were not copies/fakes. I was so livid that I called the manager but she wasn’t in. Then at Publix the cahier said that it was because they weren’t in color that she had to make sure it wasn’t a copy. I have a black and white printer!!! Really? Then the manager came over because I was starting to get so offended. I mean they treat you like you’re a criminal before even knowing how to check to make sure it isn’t fake or copied. It so offensive to me when I spend 2-3 hours looking for cupons each week.

      • Jessica

Never received anything myself.  I think the charity receives a portion of the money made by the site for handing out those manufacturer’s coupons and the advertisements on the site page

      • Baynton4us

I use common kindness for abt a month now, and have not any emails/mail from them… just friendly reminders when new coupons are ready for print :)

      • mrn1

I haven’t gotten any emails except from Common Kindness.  As was mentioned in a response by someone else, the couponing bloggers make money (albeit a small amount) each time you click on one of their printable coupon links.  Common Kindness is there for donation purposes, so when you print a coupon, the proceeds they get from your printing will go to the charity you have selected rather than to the person that is running that site.  Common Kindness has some great coupons that you can’t find anywhere else.  HTH

I am in Birmingham and I went to the store this morning to shop and get my penny item. I was expecting the Publix Bran Flakes, which I don’t like but was going to donate, to be the penny item but for some reason my store had Chocolate, Frosted or Dulce de Leche Cheerios for the item. Maybe they had too many in stock. Either way that was a very pleasant surprise.

      • gigi

        • VP22

          I have seen that happen but I guess this surprised me because I went when the store first opened. Either way, happy camper;-}

I was continually having that trouble with my mac.  Kept uninstalling, reinstalling the coupon software.  Read blogs that said it was a problem with the mac operating system.  Finally read on a help site to make sure Java was installed, which I had thought it was automatically.  Sure enough, downloading Java then enabled my coupons to start printing again.

      • Kat

I think it is JVA. You either have to down load it or go into computer and check the little box to enable its use. Good Luck.

Several other sites were also part of this coupon counterfeiting ring.  They sold on several sites as well as ebay.  There were coupons for multiple free items with the intention of gaining overage for your cart. Hershey’s, Tide, pet products to name a few.  Just one of the 12 bank accounts these 3 women had showed over $2 million in revenue since the start of this year.  Like I have said before to a poster that was talking about getting overage with the $4/1 Hershey’s product coupon…If it is super high value for that product or sounds too good to be true, it probably is.  Just thought you all may want to know.

        • Hillary

yes any coupon for something for “free” is one that a person should only have one of- like if you do a rebate and get one that way or by redeeming points. you would not have 100 of them unless they were stolen from the plant where they are printed. How on extreme couponing did that woman have 200 coupons for Free Toilet Paper and 500 coupons for $5 off of a $3 item. These types of coupons are not in existence in mass quantities like that.  There are legitimate ways to get overage and free items but doing it so you have thousands of dollars in overage just does NOT exist in real life using coupons honestly.

          • mrn1

I bought some bad SeaPak fish (3 boxes) and emailed SeaPak.  After providing scanned copies of my barcodes, they sent me 3 free product coupons.  Guess What?  One of the women that was arressted  has those SeaPak coupon listed on their site for sale.  Mine are legitimate, but I guess I won’t be able to use them. (haven’t really been sure I wanted to anyways since it was so nasty the first time)

            • Hillary

see that is what happens-like in your case the company sent you 3. A coupon for something FREE a consumer would only have a few of – not hundreds of them.

            • Hillary

wow!! my niece works at publix and she said these girls who extreme coupon there like everyday always have high value coupons. she said they get overage everytime they shop and their coupons dont scan half the time so the manager just overrides it. my niece asked them where they get their coupons and they told her ebay and they get them directly from the company, she said alot of her high value coupons are powerade, butterball and hillshire farms…but i tried getting coupons from powerade so i could save money buying a bunch for my sons football team and they wouldnt do it…so i think they are buying counterfeit coupons…which explains why our publix is cracking down on couponing

      • Hillary

I dont think everything in the article is quite true. I you want to buy one of these mfg coupons that you need, like these listed on Southern Savers, from a Sunday Insert for 25 cents off cereal, that is not going to be counterfeit. I have purchased coupons like those on ebay many times and they are not fakes- they came from newspapers.

        • mrn1

I wonder if it has to do with the barcode being shown on the computer.  If you have noticed, a lot of bloggers will cover or remove barcodes when they show coupons.

    • J4kaye7321

I absolutely love Publix for deals.  They are the best for being able to use coupons.   Walmart price matches and accept Compeitor coupons, but you cannot use a Manufacturer AND a competitor coupon.    I will say I went to Publix in Coral Springs, FL the other day, and they are REALLY scrutininzing the coupons.  The cashier had to call the manager because I had printed coupons.  The cashier apologiesd and said “SSorry, they are really creacking down on coupons now”.

      • L269

Which Publix did you go to?  The one on coral ridge drive has always been terrible when it come to couponers.  Lots of elderly cashiers there that hate coupons.

        • J4kaye7321

I go to the Lakeview one on Coral Ridge  and Lakeview.  I don’t particulary like the one on Coral Ridge and Sample…too small for my tastes.   The Lakeview one is usually okay.

      • coupon mama

Our publix is cracking down too!! I live on the east coast of florida and I used to coupon at one down the street from my house and they told me due to excessive couponers I had to take my couponing elsewhere. so now I drive 11 miles to a different one because they are the only ones who dont hassle me. The manager at the publix i go to now says that the district managers are dealing with corporate bc one of the stores in our district is getting red flagged, so what they want to do is either do away with overage, or stop allowing customers to stack coupons. The amount of overage is starting to get out of hand. my friends daughter, i call her my niece, she works at the publix thats down the street from me and she has dealt with a some girls that coupon there, ive run into them several times, but my niece sent me a text saying that these girls bought like 900 cases of powerade, 700 bottles of suave shampoo or body wash, and hundreds of other various products and got $2000 in overage!!!! Ive seen them getting $200-$800 in overage the few times i was there to witness them shop. I asked the one girl what she does with it all and she says she sells it all at the flea market and i asked her why she doesnt donate it and she says “i put too much time and effort into my couponing im not selling my crap”…so i guess we have people like her to thank for ruining couponing for the rest of us.

        • mrn1

I don’t see why Publix allows them to get that much.  At my Publix in North AL, we are limited to 10 items unless otherwise posted , which sometimes is 1 or 2 deals.  We have to have a Publix coupon for each and every item (they won’t enter one multiple times like I have read other stores do), you can’t give LU numbers, no expired coupons, getting rain checks is a pain because you have to wait while they look for product.  If they wouldn’t allow the purchase or order of that many items, it would be better for all of us, even up here in North AL our shelves may have more items if the warehouses weren’t emptied by people purchasing this much.
Pretty soon they will do away with overage if that continues.

          • coupon mama

my niece said they dont make those girls use a coupon for each item, they just use the LU numbers. The publix coupons arent worth anything to publix so they just throw them away. Now the publix i go to now, I have to have a coupon per item..store policy. Now the other publix by me, you can only get 5 deals a day so everyone has a fair chance, if they have to get a manager to override bc of so many coupons they wont do it bc it holds up the line, atleast thats what they told me. But I used to purchase in bulk but I never resold anything, I kept some of it, my parents have their own little stock pile and since my dad is a truck driver out of missouri we have been giving him stuff to donate to the people in Joplin. Even at my publix they cant special order bulk items all the time bc the warehouse only has so much of the sale items, and the manager told me that if those girls are ordering hundreds theres no way the warehouse is going to have enough to give to other store who are also special ordering. which is why the publix with the couponers is being red flagged.

But now my publix is saying they are trying to do away with overrages and possibly being able to stack coupons. Its unfair but what can you do? Looks like we might be grocery shopping at the flea market lmao

            • Jtdjagos

That is a store issue. I don’t even ubderstand how they could get hundreds of dollars in overage. I have trouble getting to 450 for the gas card and walking out of the store paying less than $50. Sounds like an inside scam to me-manager or someone in the store is making it happen and getting a cut. The stores here would NEVER allow that quantity to go out the doors.

            • Jtdjagos

sorry, getting to $50 for the gas card

          • Madone

I was also wondering why they are aloud to purchase that many items. The store should not allow that to happen. Couponing in not a right: it is a privilege that can be taken away if abused.

            • Madone

              allowed. :)

        • JudeaMcQueen

I too have witnessed  “Hustlers” as I call them, clear the shelves and re-sell at flea markets here in GA. I have also questioned other vendors in flea markets in SC and they say the same, “I coupon and re-sell!” It infuriates me because it puts us that are trying to save in today’s economy, having to deal with empty shelves and angry store managers.

          • Angel382b

If we can only print 2 coupons per computer,I would like to know how they are getting so many coupons. I know they are not buying that many papers or even probably not buying from a clipping agency.

          • Days1997

I dont wanna start a war here, but what people do with what they buy is their own business…donate it, feed it to their dog, resell it, feed their families…  As long as they follow all of the rules and do nothing fraudulent.  However, I have no idea how they are getting 200+ bottles of anything, when there is a Publix limit of five deals…unless they are going back in 20 times each day.

            • Lcmontez

I agree with you, if they follow the store policy and use genuine coupons then they have purchased the products legitimately and can do whatever they want with the products. The blame for the outrageous number of products those people purchased is on the store. The store can (and mine does) control the quantity of items purchased. We are only allowed 10 items or 5 bogo deals at a time period!

            • Rtdedmon

even if they are the stores don’t stock that much, even in the back. I think the story got bigger along the way somewhere. theres no why ANY PUBLIX  is gonna let them walk out with $1000’s worth of overage

        • Mariaa814

It so true. My publix here is FL is going thru the same thing. The manager’s know who it is and where they are selling it.

          • coupon mama

Yea we have several publix in our location and 4 of them know about that one publix, the store i go to now which is 11 miles away knows about them.

Can anyone tell me how to find and print the ecoupons when it says upromise printable…I signed up for an account, but now what?

      •  Hi there, you’ll have to get a Upromise card from your Publix store. Then you’ll add Upromise coupons to your card – these are eCoupons (electronic coupons) and you can’t actually print them. Here is a link to full instructions on how to get started: http://www.southernsavers.com/2011/12/december-upromise-ecoupons-airwick-charmin-huggies-more/

I think it is a typo – there isn’t an actual printable coupon.  With the upromise ecoupons, you need to request a card from Publix (similar to a CVS or Kroger card, but only used for upromise savings) and link it to your upromise account. The savings don’t come off your total in the store, but rather the money is deposited into your upromise account. hope that helps.

You don’t know what anybody else may have seen. People DO resell stuff for a profit.

    • coupon mama

Ive witnessed it several times, which is why now i have to drive 11 miles to another publix to use coupons. Im not giving anybody a bad name besides dishonest greedy fraudulant people. If your offended maybe your doing the same thing…just saying

where can i get the $1 off 1 8 oclock coffee? all i see is the 2 off 2 online

      • The $1 off is in the Smart Source insert from the 6/3 Sunday paper. This could be regional though, so you might not have it in your insert.

        • lili

if its buy one get one free, use the $2 off 2.

Is the Publix water a regional deal? I didn’t see any signs in-store or in the ad in mid-TN.

    • dweeb

I know we don’t get coupons for peanut butter, so is this a decent price without coupons?
Peter Pan Peanut Butter, 40 oz, at $7.29 ($3.64)

      • dweeb

I meant to say we don’t get coupons for peanut butter often :)

        • kim

this is the larger jar.  I love Peter Pan and would definitely buy at this price.

      • J4kaye7321

For us it is.   We usually buy Smart Balance, and when I price checked that one, the 30 oz jar goes for 5.49 each in my store.  I compared the healthy ingredients and they are very close.  I bought two jars so essentially I got 10 ounces more than Smart Balance for almost two dollars less per jar.

    • Bluecrystal Ea

where i the publix coupon for smithfield bacon?

    • Cassie Roth

Also, for some reason my computer isnt letting me print the coupon from packalunchsaveabunch for the rubbermaid water bottle. Anyone else having this problem?

    • Bwylupek

Need help finding the Pompeian Olive Oil coupon in SS 6/3 — I’m in FL — was that regional?  I only have the Times coupon inserts for this month — just curious if it was in the Tribune or if it was regional.  Thanks!

      • 3eddy

my store had $1 peel off coupons on the bottles in the store

    • At Publix on Hwy 19 in Eustis, FL they only have the Betty Crocker fruit snacks on sale (doesn’t include the SunKist, Ocean Spray, or Mott’s).  On a good note, though, they are giving out the “Running Out? Run In.” coupon flyers at the registers when you check out, and they contain a $1.00 off 1 Betty Crocker 16-19.2 oz Fruit Snacks q.   Fifty cent fruit snacks? Yes, please!

      • joanna00

Unfortunately, the fruit snacks that are part of the BOGO are 4.5-8.0 oz. This coupon isn’t a match.

      • mrn1

Mott’s Ocean Spray and Sunkist are included in the sale.  I bought them Wednesday.  But, as was mentioned below, the coupon you mentioned is not a match.  It is for the wrong size.

      • Days1997

Those publix coupons are for the HUGE box…not the BOGO one.  I got excited, too…but then I read the fine print.

    • Also, to add to the “Publix is cracking down on coupons” thread … The cashier wanted all my q’s BEFORE she checked out any of my items today.  She thoroughly scrutinized them both before AND as she scanned my items.  She did find one coupon from Target that said “only one coupon per customer” in the fine print, which I hadn’t noticed.  I understand that they have to be careful because some people use coupons fraudulently, but I feel a little bit like they are assuming I’m trying to scam then when they are so stringent.  I get over it quickly, though, when I come out of there having saved 60%. :)  Even though I’d rather they just scanned my q’s without all the scrutiny, I still smile pleasantly and commiserate with the cashier about it.  Catch more flies with honey and all that …

    • Sswhite30277

Just came from Publix in Fayetteville, Ga and noticed the signs announcing Target is no longer considered a Competitor beginning Aug 1 st. Sad to hear that, but after tonight’s performance with the locals I can’t say I will be missing that trip.  How I wish we could get one closer to Pike County!

    • Swfl

Is the viva paper towels a good deal .at my publix they have 2big roll/3$ then with the publix coupon makes it 1$/each roll .thank u

      • Sswhite30277

If your Publix takes Target Q’s, there is a $1 of Viva paper towels 6pk or larger that works nicely with the Publix deal.  Right now they are on sale for $6.99, using the Target coupon it’s $5.99. That’s a good deal for Viva.  IMO they are the best paper towels.

    • Tammeadows1

does anyone know how to keep the printable coupon sites from messing up your computer? It is really driving me nuts!

      • Soberkitty

        What do mean?

    • Crownstar

Had a great Publix trip…Kiss My Face – found the soap for $3.49 used the $3 off coupon…yippee .49 cents for soap; Heinz Vinegar is 1.29; had $1.00 coupon so .29 cents; Off bug repellent is on sale for $4.79 ea; found $1 publix coupons on endcap displays and used along with the $1.50 off coupon (dry spray) paid 2.29 per can, that’s as cheap as I’ve ever gotten Off!

      • Soberkitty

Where did you find the soap? What section of the store?

        • Crownstar

In the health beauty section with the natural products; look for the section with Bronner brothers soap, Jason’s Alba,  its usually in its own area, not with the regular soap…  you gotta kinda find this section.  couldn’t find the unreal bar to save my life.  The coupon works great, no beeping…

    • Crownstar

oops forgot to mention; Bayer aspirin on clearance for $2.00; if you still have the $3.00 off coupons makes them free + 1 overage!

Is there a chance that anyone has a few extra of the $2off meat coupons that may not get used due to the heavy restrictions? I would LOVE to trade for whatever you may need, but I really could use those to be able to help add red meat to my grandmother’s diet (low iron, on Hospice, lives w us) TIA!!
