When I went in on Sunday to my Walgreens ( Five Forks,SC). The cashier said they dont have any nor does she know if they are getting any in, Plus they dont give rain checks for RR’s items. I think that is just plain well stupid. If you are going to offer a product have it in stock or have a way for us to get the reward that was promised in the ad!

Its not always the store’s fault. Im tired of reading stuff like this. The drinks are delivered from Pepsi. If they are out of stock, then so will all the stores they supply. And for other items, sometimes warehouse does not send what the store asks for. Complain to corporate, not the store. Do you think employees like to be yelled at at something they cant fix???

          • Kristy

Who said anything about the cashiers being yelled at?  I was actually very polite. I would never yell at cashier- I am fully aware it is not their fault. ( until I became a stay at home paretnt i was in customer service)  The cashier even stated that it is a problem getting them in. What I was trying to say is that Walgreens as a company is having problems getting an item in they should offer a rain check or be atleast willing to take the expired coupon.

            • ak

also for the record, the reason we cant give rainchecks for RR items, is because it is not possible to generate them manually with our registers. RR are manufacturer coupons offered by the brands company (kelloggs, schick, etc..) through walgreens, not directly from the walgreens company. Hope that helps clear things up a bit (as far as an actual explanation as to why we cant)
              :)

True and it does not help when people come in and clean every last one they have out.

My stores in Fort Mill SC area had a lot on Sunday. One was sold out when I went back yesterday. Unless they changed their policy or it states it in the add my stores do give rain checks on RR items in fact they normally write them with the RR applied.

My Walgreens almost always runs out of sale/RR items early in the week and they will NOT provide RR at a later date when they get restocked.  I have gotten in the habit of being there early on Sunday so I can get my deals (but I do not clear the shelf).  They had the Starbucks Refreshers in stock Sunday morning, but were out later on.

I went Sunday morning but my store said they didn’t get any in :( ,but the manager gave me a rain check for the .99 cents sale price. I do have two internet printables for a dollar off that don’t expire until December, so atleast they will still be free :)

My Atlanta had loads Sunday and still does.  They have put additional stock out.  So I bought 12 over 4 days.  Then got free albacore tuna with the RRs!

        • Stephanie

I must be looking in the wrong place.  I live in Gwinnett and none of the stores I’ve been to in the past few weeks had them.  Or else I just couldn’t find them.  I looked in the fridge isle and the regular isle.  Oh well.

      • Kate

I wouldn’t necessarily call it false advertising.. A lot of stores have had trouble getting the refreshers in, and have for awhile. One out of the three stores on my town had them and only for a short while. It’s a product that Pepsi is not supplying the stores very well with. The stores can order it all they want but they have no control over whether Pepsi actually fills the order… just something to consider.

        • soundring

Agreed. My Target was sold out for a while and they told me that Pepsi was not bringing them in for some reason, had nothing to do with Target not ordering.

My CVS’s had it Sunday and one store was limiting them to 1 per customer but the other was allowing you to buy how ever many you wanted. Then they were sold out and now they have been restocked. Got another one yesterday (Thursday). My free coupon was going to expire on the 19th. They went fast here because when you get the $.99 RR most here were using them at Harris Teeter this week during Triple coupons since the $.99 RR would triple to we worth $2.97.

They are in the fridge with all the other single size drinks. I know it comes in 3 flavors, maybe 4 but my store only had one flavor pomegranate. No shelf tags or space for any other flavors.

The Reinventing Beauty Magazine  is a CVS magazine that cost .99. They are hard to find. If you go to the CVS site and send them a comment that you cannot find the magazine , they will send you a free one and you will get it within 3 or 4 days.

        • Bailbondgrl05

Can you use a CVS coupon though?

I don’t think that particular coupon has the “available at CVS “on it. It IS a manufacturers coupon.

I found out that the CVS has to have a dedicated beauty counter.  The closest one I’ve found for me is in Mt. Pleasant (I’m in Goose Creek).  I try to stop by there when Harris Teeter has the great specials (super doubles or triples) and pick up copies then.

Got a question for the WAGS employee that is on here sometimes. On another blog an  assistant manager stated that “rolling register rewards is fraud” and that the cashier should not allow this to happen and that a cashier at her store was fired because she allowed someone to roll their register rewards. The discussion was about the Kotex and Starbucks register rewards rolling. Is this fraud? Could someone be fired because they allowed someone to “roll”?

It was my understanding that a person can’t use a register reward to purchase the exact same item.  Example…you purchase Advil and it prints a $2 RR, you can use the $2 RR to purchase another Advil, but you will not get another $ RR.  Am I correct everyone?

The cashier showed me how to buy the Starbucks for two cents each. He scanned one and took my mfg coupon and I owed two cents. Then he took the RR that printed and used it on the next Starbucks and I owed two cents again. I got the last 11 the store had for two cents each.

For those who have a Family Dollar store in their area I found a rebate offer in the store today.  If you spend $25 on participating P&G products during one store visit, you can get a $5 Visa Prepaid card by mail.  I bought two Charmin toilet tissue (12 roll) and three Bounty paper towels (6 roll) for $5 each.  I had $1 Bounty coupons and the store has a $5 off $25 purchase this week (on the front page of their ad).  This came out to $2 for each of my items.  For the rebate you go to FollowLoloRun(dot)com and click on “offers”.

Head’s up: If you buy more than the same register reward items in the same transaction, only one RR will print. I bought two of the sleep sheet things and ended up having to refund the transaction and start over. Thankfully, the store was gracious to help and there was no one behind me in line. I used the two $5.00 RRs to buy two of Walgreen’s Cerave equivalent facial cleansers that were on clearance for $4.99 each. Yay!

Ah. I remember now. I haven’t been there for a RR transaction in forever….

          • VP22

I wish my stores would say limit 2 RRs instead of 1. Never seen that since I’ve been goin. It would be oh so nice. As is, Wags can definitely be tricky to navigate just for 1 RR. It does not help that a lot of times employees do not know the policy and then you have some stores making up rules as they go along. It’s awesome that you have a store that works with you and treats you like a valued customer.

          • Mahrobertson763

Your not missing anything pleasant. Walgreens is not coupon friendly. They offer them but treat you badly when you use them.

        • macboy

Thinking about it again, the store I went to had a sign saying there was a limit of two on RR and BOGO products. So, I naturally picked up two….

They will adjust the $5 to $4.99 so you can use it. It’s in their policy but I frequently have to remind them.

I ended up getting a $0.10 piece of Laffy Taffy candy. I hadn’t had that in YEARS! mmm…

By the way, it looks like my refund for my first transaction never went through. So, I have now been charged TWICE. ugh….

my Walgreen’s says it is store policy that you can’t do back to back transactions using RR’s….I told them that it was not in the corp. policy…the cashier replied I would have to come back in 4 hours, that was their store’s policy…..needless to say, I was very irritated!!!

Boycott. I’m so tired of Walgreens not wanting couponers business. All Walgreens are rude in my area. Our money spends better than anyone elses if you ask me. Regular customers make the business boom. BOYCOTT!

..i so agree with you.  we had a walgreens here and one time they put the NICE brand bathroom rolls on the wrong price tag.  my fault that i didn’t read it properly and i just grab it and went to the cashier.  when it rang a different price, i told her…”ohhh i thought the price was… i will just not take that”…and she rolled her eyes on me.  that was very rude.  it happened to me twice on that store for two different cashier, so i don’t go there anymore.

today I noticed the sales/rr sign was on the “CLICK”  tampons so I asked the stocker if they were substituting the “CLICK” for the “SLEEK” and she looked at me like I had two heads. She said we never do substitutions. I told her to look at the sign. She pulled the sign. Just think of the wasted time if I had purchased them and had to return them.

The joys of living in Orlando. If I had to, I could be at another store in 5-8 minutes.

Back to WAGS again today for some more punishment. First the Burt’s Bee product was not clearance like the sign said-it was a different scent that was clearanced-manager had to void the order and start over. Then the new register would not take a manuf. cpn and a store coupon on the same item. Had to call the manager back and void the order again. Then I had cashier ring up the problem items seperately.  Got all wht way to the total-5.35 and it would not take the $5. RR-so I said noproblem-just add on this candy bar. Well the new registers won’t   let you just add on another item-Guess what? Had to call the manager again to void the order and start over. What should have taken 10 minutes tops took over 30 minutes with having to call the manager back to the register so many times.

This happened to me today too! I was there for 10 minutes waiting for them to ring me out correctly.  The cashier was really rude and so was the manager. I would’ve just left, but I wanted my $30 of items for $2 :)

I had the same happen to me.  There was an issue where the cashier had to manually enter some of my coupons. Then she said the new system wouldn’t allow her to enter any of my rr’s after she had entered the other coupons manually.  I had to pay with credit/cash to get out of there.  What’s up with these new machines?

Heads up, I just ordered a graduation poster for  $19.99 and a 4*6 for 19 cents and used the DAD10 code for a $10 off $20 photo products.

I just had my 3rd terrible experience at Walgreens. The cashiers are rude and act as if scanning a few coupons is going to cause them physical pain. The register wouldn’t accept half my coupons (something about how they were just reprogrammed). The manager had to come hand punch them in. I was standing at the counter for over 10 minutes to buy 6 items. If they hate coupons so much, they should just stop taking them…

In Orange Park Florida the Walgreens across from the mall has milk for $2.99 and eggs for .99
