What is up with Walgreens lately?! I think they are trying to get us use to their new points system…

        • Tanya

If you have a target, they are 9.99 behind the pharmacy counter.   Or at least they did in NC

      • Kpb1674

i cant find it either. anyone know whats up with that?

      • AshAsh

Check CVS. They have tear off carmex coupons in a display near the lip care in the pharmacy department. i took a few before i was about to head over to walgreens. i was upset about the acucheck… couldnt find it anywhere and i have a lot of people in need of them. Dern Columbia went first thing in the mornin on sunday too. chasier acted like she never knew they existed

As of 2 days ago all the coupons from Smartsource stopped prinitng on my computer..I haven’t changed anything and they were printing before 2 days ago.IS anyone else having trouble with smartsource printing?

      • I am having the same problem. Something about Java, I did update my Java, and was able to print the coupon, but when I went back I encountered the same problem again. So…I’m guessing it could be the site?? Idk

      • cg

I get a message that my java isn’t right but it is. All I do is hit back space and it seems to work then. I don’t know why it started doing that.

Went shopping at Walgreens today(7/3), Spent $77.82,saved $74.12 received $12 in RR. Then went an got the toilet paper an paper towels an cookies for free. Make sure you look in the cosmetic department, they had the left over Fathers Days gift packages on sale, I got the one with the Gillette razor, shave gel, body wash an antiperspirant all for only $9.99,so I got two sets, had a coupon for getting shave gel for free if I bought a razor, which it gave me that, they also had other ones that were only $8.99,you cant beat the price an the stuff you get, you pay that for the razor alone, so make sure you check it out.

The Progresso soup link sent me to a Spanish site with no Progresso in view

      • VP22

The link is for Que Vida Rica which is a spanish site but it is by General Mills. I believe they must have ran outta prints because the Progresso was on there Thursday when I printed but I checked just now and it is gone.

    • I did my first Walgreens coupon trip ever today. I’ve been couponing since May, and never understood their system. Until today, I got 3 packs of diapers for $10.47, saving $25.50 Using a store coupon and mfr coupons. I am now addicted, and will be shopping walgreens more often, however, CVS I’m still not fully understanding yet. So excited!

      • Kaoscasa

Good job!!!  CVS is easier (my opinion) than Walgreens.  So try your hand at CVS.

        • Ayatori26

Yes, good job! My Walgreens won’t print the RR if you use coupons if you have to spend a specific dollar amount. :(  But I love CVS. Had a little problem with my local one not stocking the shelves when they KNOW there’s a good sale going on. DUH! The little cashier was real snotty and said to come back tomorrow when the truck comes in. I told her I’m going on strike and will tell my coupon group not to go there either for 3 months. We just hit the one 1 mile further. It worked!

      • Pinkladyalley35

If you can do Walgreens, then I’m sure you will do great at CVS! I think CVS is much easier and I’m a ” newbie” too! I’m am thinking about trying the exact same 4 transaction scenarios she mentioned, but will probably take a break in between 2&3! Good luck to you!

      • Kerry Harbin

CVS is by far my favorite! This sounds dorky, but I was so excited when they built one about ten minutes away from my house which I pass all the time. Before, I had to go a little out of the way to get to one but it was totally worth it. They have the best diaper deals. I got another $4 off $20 baby purchase last weekend and I have been getting a lot of diaper coupons in the mail to use together. I pay about .17 -.18 per diaper. I’d love to do better but it seems cheaper than buying at Wal-Mart or Amazonmom.com. You have to have precisely the number of items as coupons at Walgreens which gets tricky! Good luck to you!

      • Eric S.

Yup. Walgreens RR sometimes dont print, they expire alot faster than CVS ECB, and have issues with cashiers. CVS much easier and consistant.

    • Ayatori26

With the Bic BOGO razors, with the overage just apply to the balance or does it just evens up the regular price? For example: 2 Bic Razor @fb893a658a5485bb2402753ccd2bf8c5:disqus $3.99 BOGO, I give 2 $3 coupons, that gives a $2 overage. Will Walgreens apply it to the balance or just wipe it clean? I KNOW I won’t get a gift card for the overage!

      • Sandy

The razors are Buy One Get One HALF OFF…Not buy one get one FREE…So the would be 3.99 + 1.99 and they will adjust the second $3 coupon down.

Went to Walgreens at midnight to grab some of the Bic Bold Pens for .49 w/ in store q and tried to use the $1/2. It wouldnt work. Not sure why. She was like oh well which one do you want to use. The wags makes only .49. Umm no thanks I wanted to pay $ 0. snotty look recvd .lol Took ad went to Walmart priced matched grabbed 20 pks total before q’s $10.60 after -0.20. Husband says thats just ridiculous. Using to help teacher friend who teaches in low income school area.

      • cg

That’s because the q is for $1 off 2 and they were .49 each. All the cashier needed to do was adjust the q to .98 and it would have worked. It’s listed in their coupon policy for them to do that.

      • SnowDog2Mom

I purchased 2 of the Bic Pens today twice at 2 different Walgreens and used a $1/2 coupon and the Walgreens coupon at both locations and didn’t have any problems.

    • Mel

I also went to walmart and price matched the bic pens… however they would only give three packs out of the 4 I had for the 49 cents since walgreeens ad said limit 3….. so with no tax today…. 44 cents for 40 pens….  A GREAT DEAL IN MY BOOK!  ……

    • Parkerrca

Well I went to Walgreens and was told I could to use my coupon off bic razors in conjunction with any other offer since they were on sale bogo 1/2 off. Are you serious? The things these people come up with. I’ll go back another day and get another cashier. I was excited about having a Walgreens come to town but if they are going to make it difficult I can spend my money other places.

      • Nicole

        i had the same problem…smh

    • faulk

I am new to couponing at drugstores.  How many RR are you allowed in a given day?

      • Kaoscasa

Not sure it’s limited.  You don’t scan a card or anything.

    • SnowDog2Mom

Great Walgreens trips. Went to 2 different stores. Did the Carmax deal twice so got 2 free Carmax Lotions, did the Lanacane Spray deal twice 2 free Lanacane Sprays, and did the Lipton 20oz. Iced Tea deal 12 times (6 at each store, did not clear the shelf). I love it when they do $.99 RR. Now I can take my 12 $.99 RR and use them at Harris Teeter where they will double turning them into a $12 profit after getting 12 free bottles of iced tea. This time the Lipton iced tea is actually good. Last time they did the $.99 with the Starbuck’s refreshers I was glad I didn’t pay for them as they were terrible.

      • Poolside1

Great Deal!! I want to do the same deal. Can you break it down for me, please??

        • SnowDog2Mom

I did the 2 Carmax at the same store so I did one transaction with 1 Carmax Lotion with $1 mfg. cpn, 1 Lanacane Spray, and 1 bottle of tea. Got back a $4 Carmax RR, $6 Lanacane RR and $.99 tea RR. Did the 2nd transaction with 1 Carmax Lotion with $1 mfg. coupon, 1 bottle of tea. Got back $4 RR, $.99 RR. Did 4 more transaction with 1 bottle of tea of each transaction and got a $.99 RR for each. Decided to go to a second store mostly to get more tea, didn’t want to clear all the tea from store 1. WhenI got to store 2 decided to get another Lanacane spray so did 1st transaction with 1 Lanacane Spray, 1 bottle of tea. Used $4 Carmax RR, received $6 Lanacane RR, $.99 tea RR. Did 5 more transactions with 1 bottle of tea each transaction. I wasn’t worried about using RR for the next transaction since I can use the RR at Harris Teeter. I warned the cashiers that I needed to do multiple transactions to get the RR to come out and luckily there was no one in line behind me either time. The Cashiers had no problem with me doing the multiple transactions and I made sure to thank them. Hope this helps.

          • Poolside1

Yes, this helped alot!! I was up late last night wondering how to roll the RR and I think I was driving myself crazy trying to figure it out. But this gives me an idea on what to do. Thanks again for responding!!!

        • SnowDog2Mom

I also got 4 free packs of the Bic Bold Pens. Got 2 at each store using $1/2 mfg. coupon and Walgreens coupon from the flyer for $.49.

      • Ktharpe09

Did you have to ring out the bottles of tea seperate or did you ring all 6 up at once?

        • SnowDog2Mom

The bottles of tea have to be rung up 1 bottle per transaction to get the RR.

man you are lucky, I remember when Publix used to take RRs.  Those were the days.

    • Mcleodsc

The cashier shared some interesting info with me today. WAGS is rolling out a rewards card (like CVS and Rite-Aid have) sometime in September.  Anyone else heard this ?

      • mrn1

It’s been rumored for quite a while now.   Read some articles at reputable sites online.  But, according to the employees where I shop, they haven’t heard anything about it.  Supposedly they have been waiting until the new registers were installed at all stores.  Who knows!

        • Butterfinger_5568

It is true..They are doing away with RR.My daughter works at Wg and she told me this several months ago..

          • Then it will be one register reward per week per item. It starts mid Oct. So once you bought the rr rewards items one time that week, thats it,. The employees get there cards in another week to learn the system and sign people up for the cards.

            • Mcleodsc

I read somewhere that we would earn points for certain purchases that could be redeemed for $5 off. Susan Racine have you heard anything about a point system?

            • Kate

There will be a point system. I think the minimum amount of points earned will get you $10.00 off if I remember correctly. Should be an interesting program.

        • Nluvwithit

same here…I knew they were going to be out of those pens…but I did get the rest of my school supplies for a total of $11…3 3-ring binders, 30 pencils, 6 highlighters, 3 packs of erasers, and 6 memo pads…I don’t think it was a wasted trip…even though I forgot to get the Pantene shampoo and covergirl makeup…but I will be back Thursday when my store gets a truck in

      • Cstewart29

I price matched the Bic pens at Walmart after going to 3 Walgreens stores!  They matched the price of .49 cents and I used 2 $1/2 Bic coupons and got 4 packs for free!

    • Grant1958

I actually had a great trip at 2 Walgreens today!  No problems with coupons or RR.  This has to be a first.  Even with the problems I still prefer Wags to CVS.  THe closest CVS to me is a small store and is never well stocked.

    • teresainga

the carmex must have reached its print limit.  it was there earlier

    • I am looking for the $3/2 Herbal Essences. if anyone have any they would like to trade please email me at evitab@live.com with the subject: Coupons

    • Kkaser

Anyone else having trouble using the Bic Razor $3 coupon?  The cash register blocks it, the cashier calls the manager & I’ve had two Walgreens tell me they can’t accept it.

      • I’ve had the problem too. The cashier just puts in the system.

      • Littleeinsteins

Same here.  I did use the q but on the Soleil and ended up paying 2.49 for a 4 pack.  I would have been upset  but I was able to get a great deal on milk, eggs and 10 pks of bic pens for free.

    • coupontwins

I’m confused when I see .99 RR when you buy 1 item that costs .99 and in () is says (makes it free). How is it free? At my store you can’t use the RR till the next purchase. You still have to pay the .99 plus tax for the item. Is this different anywhere else? Am I missing an opportunity to use my RR coupons on the same transaction used to purchase it?

      • TeeCee

The “free” is because you get $1 back to save on something else in another transaction. You cannot use the RR in the same transaction. It’s just one way of doing the math…

        • Littleeinsteins

Bi-lo lets me use the RR so I usually do the “freebies” at walgreens the night before I go to Bi-lo.  If there is something at walgreens that is on sale, I will sometimes just use the RR on those items.

          • Tanya

Wait:  Am I understanding you right?  Bilo, my Favorite store because of their coupon policy, lets you use the Walgreen’s RR?  I have about $40.00 worth of RR.   Do I just had them over to the cashier at Bilo?   That just sounds too amazing!

    • Wolf1961

I do not understand the RR’s at Walgreens can someone explain it to a newby?

      • Kaoscasa

Buy the products required as in their ad, get Rewards that print at the register to use on a future visit.  CANNOT use to buy the same product to get more rewards.  But can buy the same product again if you don’t care about more rewards printing.  Pretty easy.

      • Hoover37

Wags RR are kinda tricky for newbes :) they are manQ’s so you CANNOT stack them with other manQ’s. ie.. Purchase item use either a MANq or a wags RR, they BEST WAY TO REMEMBER AT WAGS is 1 coupon PER item in your cart, whether its a Man q or RR :)

    • guest

flinstone vitamins are not only $4 off but are also buy one get one 1/2 off.  there is also a $1 off of one coupon.  I did this with the 60ct

    • Bamasaver

Just saw this on the WildforWags site…all Glade products are 25% off this week & coupons(dot)com released a $3Q for the Expressions Fragrance Mist starter kit…regular price $2.99, making it free w/ the Q but is supposedly printing a $1RR as well for a MM.

      • SnowDog2Mom

Be aware prices for the starter kit vary by location. They are $3.59 at my store with the 25% off.

        • Bamasaver

Yes, prices where I live are normally quite a bit higher than those she posts at WildforWags.  I stopped by my local Walgreens this evening & the mister starters are $3.36 with the 25% off sale, but using the $3Q & receiving the $1RR still made it a small MM.

    • Samanthacollins1715

For the Bic Disposable razors B1G1 50% off can I use two $3.00 off one pack coupons?? (if I get the 7.49 a pack razors)

      • No, you can’t use 2 $3.00 off coupons. Their both Mfr coupons and they only accept 1 per item. If you got 2, you can use 2.

    • di

Tried to buy the Bic Disposables B1G1 50% off and use (2) $3.00 coupons. The prices were $4.49 and $2.25 (after 50%). The register applied $3.00 to the first item and 2.25 to the second. The way I understand their policy, it should apply both $3 coupons to the total amount (6.75) .  Is this correct?  I showed them the policy and explained my understanding of it.

      • Kenren801

I did the same deal and both couons took off $3 ($6 total). Their system is always strange….

      • di

Wanted to follow up on my post. The mgr called me and said that I was correct.  So  they would hold the razors for me to pick up and use both coupons. I appreciated the call but why don’t they train their people on their OWN COUPON POLICY?

    • Barre

I hate walgreens, and I was reminded today why I will never shop there ever again — they are so rude and not coupon friendly, at least my store isn’t.  I went in there today to buy two of the glade mist starter kits that were on sale for $3.49, I had two coupons.  The cashier when she saw the coupons, she immediately had an attitude and said: “oh, well these were printed off the internet and they usually don’t scan”….. and then proceeded to scan the bar code at the very top of the coupon, not the usual bottom bar code.  It didn’t scan, which I wasn’t surprised because she scanned the wrong bar code.  She then called the manager who told her not to take them.

Does anyone else’s store only allow one transaction?  My store says it holds up the line so they will only allow one.  If I want to do another one, I have to go to the back of the line and go through again :/ ..  And with good sales, they have a limit of 1 item.  I told the girl I would go home and come back later and she said “no, I’ll remember you”.  What the?

      • angel

call coorp office they eshould set mgmt straight

        • Kimberley R

They have a sign up on the counter that says that they are allowed to restrict the number of sale items and transactions per customer.  This store allows one per customer.

      • Mcleodsc

Could you check out at the cosmetic counter? That is where I usually check out if I am doing more than one transaction.

        • Kimberley R

They don’t have enough employees.  That’s probably why they have this policy.  They usually only have one check out person working at a time.
