Walmart is the worst store to coupon at.  Everytime I go to Walmart I have a problem using anything from this website.  There was a Blackflag coupon,$1.00 off any Black Flag coupon, it did not eliminate the fly paper on the coupons.  The coupon stated, limit one coupon per purchase.  I was going to puchase 10, they denied me to use the coupon.  I was purchasing 10 and there was no limit on the coupon as to how many I could use per store visit.

I hate Walmart and only shop there when I absolutely have to.  I was so mad, I gave them such a hard time on there stupid policies.  Sorry, but Walmart makes so much money and such a stickler on coupons.  I let the head cashier have it today.

Sorry folks, Jenny your great, but Walmart is awful.

      • Leonards4him

I have the same problem at my walmart!  They won’t take coupons that are clearly not expired and are for the item I purchased!

      • Lucyh70

        Ditto!!

is the black flag swatter a regional thing? I can’t find it at my Walmart, which stinks, because I could have definitely used it with the amount of flies that keep sneaking into my house!

    • SmoochTheCook

Thank you for this really great list!  It’s so nice to see all of the school supplies and such listed to know the prices.  A word of advice, don’t get any of the school/office supplies unless you need them right away.  It’s about time for the office supply stores to start their amazing sales…I still have quite a bit of the items left from last year and I even donated a lot of it after purchasing.  :)

      • Busygeorgiamom

I agree. I know that at Staples/Office Max etc the sales on school items on some items are still nothing compared to walmart and other big superstores.  However; a couple of days ago, I was in there and they had notebook paper and packs of pencils for 1cent each with a limit of 5 if you spend an additional $5. I happened to be raiding the clearance section for some things anyway so $5 was already in the bag. I think the limit on the pencils was 2 for every $5 spent and wasn’t nearly as exciting as the notebook paper deal. With 5 kids(3 teenagers) in school, you can never have enough notebook paper! Now I believe they are doing 15% off what you can fit in the bag sale and I’m headed back for more deals!

      • Kellieh

IDK about your schools or ages of your children but my  son is in middle school. I send him with a pen, pencil, and a few sheets of paper the first day. If you buy AFTER school officially starts, the savings are even BIGGER!

    • ALive

I am irate. I hate Walmart, and I went today to score free vinegar, and $1.00 Revlon Nail Color. However Walmart didn’t carry the Heinz Vinegar, and the Revlon Nail Color was 4.99 not $1.96 nor was the Revlon Face Products $2.96 they were $9.99.

      • Racewatchr

yeah the walmart i went to had the same price on the revlon face products. they did however have the hienz vinegar but not at $1.00, they had it for $1.12….ticked me off but i got them anyway. they also had the mt. olive pickles but they were also off by a few centsof what had been advertised…..suprise suprise

      • couponmom

same at my walmart!! i hate walmart anyways but i went to score free bayer aspirin and its $3.88-$5.88…

    • Cha

Mens Adidas body spray and deodorant is 3.47 at my walmart in pinellas county FL. We have a q for 2.00 off one making it $1.47. Much cheaper than the going rate for body spray if you need it now.

    • Jean Ann

I have to say I always have a great couponing experience at Walmart.  I even price-match from stores 30-40 miles away.  I was told that as long as I have the ad in hand they will honor it.  I always have the ads with me and I never have to show them, just tell them.  The one time I used my Wags Rewards, since they have Manufacturer on them, I had no problems.  I wish they would double coupons but for the gas and time it save me,  I am happy to do the price matching.  I saved $3 on 6-pk Brawny by price matching with Ingles and $2 on 12-pk Angel Soft tissue.  Thanks, Jenny, for all your hard work.  It doesn’t go unnoticed!

      • Judi

When you price match a BOGO free, does your wal-mart, use their price?  I just started doing all my BOGO frees at wal-mart because they use the wal-mart price which is cheaper than bi-lo or publix.  I am wondering why no one talks about this.  I price matched kraft dressing using Publix ad and got it for .99 cents per bottle (BOGO).  I went to the customer service desk to find out if this was correct, does walmart use the ad price or whlmarts price on a ad match for bogo, they told me (3 employees) its walmarts price. Just wondering how your walmart does it.

    • Thriftyjules

I think part of the problem with Wal-Mart is that they do a terrible job training their cashiers and managers. They also treat their employees like crap, from what I understand, so the cashiers really couldn’t care less about our coupons and why the computer isn’t taking them. They just want to get us through the line quickly so they don’t have to listen to the next few customers b**** about how long they had to wait in line.  I’ve only had one decent couponing experience at Wal-mart and that was this past week. Only because the cashier took her time and was patient trying to scan the coupons so that the register would take them. Eventually, she got all of the coupons scanned.  Of course, all of the customers in line behind me were irate about the time she took with me (because there was only ONE non-express lane open at a busy time of day) but I certainly appreciated it. Every other time I’ve used coupons at Walmart (and there have been a lot of times), I’ve had to take items off of my order because the cashier says something like, “If the coupon won’t scan, we can’t take it because we won’t be reimbursed for coupons the register doesn’t take.” And then the cashier stands there and tries to keep my coupon. Every time. Total BS.  I LOVE PUBLIX and CVS!! I used to do ALL of my shopping at Wal-Mart. Now I probably do only about 10-20% of it there and it’s mainly meat. Now that there’s an Aldi near where I work, I think that percentage is going to go down even more. And I’m hoping Zaycon foods will have an event nearby soon so that I can justify never stepping foot in Wal-Mart (for anything other than clearance baby clothes ;) ) again.

    • couponmom

I went to walmart the other day and had my stack of coupons, for some reason the register wasnt scanning them and they were from my sunday paper, well she told me they were legit blah blah blah so she called a manager and after she got it all straightened out the manager says to me ” if you want your food cheaper or free why dont you get food stamps, its alot less hassle than all these ridiculous coupons” I was like seriously?? I told her my husband probably makes too much for us to get food stamps and she says “if your husband makes so much money why are you couponing?” I told her it wasnt any of her business why i coupon and i grabbed my stuff and walked out, thats the last time I went to walmart. Publix and cvs so far have been awesome :)

      • JZ

that is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. why would someone be so rude? more power to you for having so many coupons and getting things so cheap :] I’m just starting and I’m getting a little discouraged with my lack of progress thus far. :/

      • Kellieh

I would find out who’s above her and complain AND ask for an in store or online credit for having to deal with someone so unprofessional! How dare her!!!!

    • Arana

Anyone know what stores have the Heniz vinegar??  I have looked Walmart, Foodlion, Dollar General, Family Dollar, and Bilo…UGH!

      • Wethedeans

I have the same problem. It’s as if there’s a boycott on Heinz vinegar

      • Jamie_0188

        Target

Does anyone know what size the Planters trail mix is that is $1.47?  I looked everywhere in the store and finally asked a sales associate and he said that he didn’t even think that they carried Planter’s Trail Mix.  He could be right because I never even saw a tag for it.

    • Add me to the list of bad Walmart experiences!  I don’t normally get several of one item just to get overage, but the Bayer deal was too good to pass up. I have a neighbor with heart trouble who can use the aspirin, and there were a few things I wanted to use the overage to pay for.

I thought I was doing everything right–read the coupon policy before going, went early in the morning so as not to hold up other shoppers (before 7 AM) got a few of 3 different kinds of Bayer so as not to empty any shelves (10 altogether), warned the cashier ahead of time that I had several coupons.  But it all went to heck anyway.  Without detailing the entire transaction, I will tell you two things that stood out–1)While arguing with me about a Renuzit B1G1 newspaper coupon, the cashier actually said the words “Walmart don’t have no coupon policy online”. HA!

2)The manager stepped in to help when the final total was higher than I had calculated, and her conversation with the cashier went like this–Cashier: “This WOMAN is saying that $4.51 is TOO MUCH to pay for ALL THIS STUFF.”  Me: “Something’s just not right.”  Manager looks at the receipt and asks for the coupons I’d used.

So the cashier pulled the coupons out of the drawer. Manager: “These are all of them?” Cashier: “Yeah, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE are hers.”

The manager took the time to open another register and do the entire transaction over again.  Turns out two of the $3 coupons were stuck together (don’t know why, I cut them each separately).  That manager could not have been more awesome, but the thought of running into that cashier again makes me feel like driving the extra 8 miles to go to a different Walmart next time!
