Sweetbay in Florida has a lot of stores that are being converted to Winn Dixie. I just came from one in Hillsborough Co., FL and all Meat, Produce, Seafood, Deli and store brand items were 50% off! Tomorrow they are going to 75% off. Produce was wiped out today as was seafood and meat department at this store but I scored some really awesome deals on deli items EVERYTHING was 50% off! At least 17 stores will be closing on the 29th and re-opening on the 4th of April as Winn Dixie.

Mine too. I was waiting outside the store at 7 am this morning before my store went to 50% off. I had a stupid smile on my face… it was like Black Friday with food. Anyway, I made the mistake of filling a cart with baby items and hair care thinking EVERYTHING was 50% off and it’s not, it’s just meat, seafood, bakery stuffs, flora and produce. Learned that lesson HARD and missed out on a lot of the meats but my Pasco store is going to 75% off on Thursday if anyone is interested!
I’m shocked that Winn Dixie bought them out though… I didn’t know Winn Dixie was doing so well…
Oh, and watch out for expiration dates on stuff at Sweetbay… they don’t do a very good job checking them.
