Question .. would an item at regular price with an ECB promotion be considered on sale? or not? Anybody know for sure?

      • Dianne L

My CVS, that usually goes the extra mile to give me all the benefits available, would not cut me slack on doing just that several weeks ago! I had spent a good amount of time walking around the store to find those deals, only to have to just walk away with nothing. That's why I don't like these coupons!

When they had the friends and family 30% coupon a few weeks ago, the only item it took money off , out of about 30 things I bought, was a pillow pet, because everything else was either on sale, or had Extra bucks associated with it, eventhough they were reg. priced, if they give extra bucks it won't take anything off. Too bad…wish It was like the 15 % off at walgreens awhile back

These coupons drive me crazy! Can anyone share if you have gotten great deals using these percent off non-sale items? Thanks!
And, Jenny, thanks for keeping us up-to-date on coupons; I just don't like this CVS one!

    • Txgirlcla

I tried it the other day; it will not work on anything that is on sale through the advertisement and/or extra care buck item.

    • macboy

I used the coupon code on the 13″ Craig TV online that was on sale. I didn't buy it, but the shopping cart took the coupon.

      • macboy

That was a separate coupon. My bad…

I had a 25% off coupon yesterday, and they would not take it, because every thing I purchased was on “sale” Even though I spent 55.00. Almost everything in the store is on sale, especially this time of year. Wasnt happy about it. Wont be printing this type of coupon any more. It basically makes things the normal price they are at Krogers if I buy it not on sale.

I used the 25% yesterday and saved a lot of money..it's a little time consuming but if you find high value coupons it works out great. For ex. The biore pore strips are $10.99 reg price minus 25% was just under $8 then I had a $5 off coupon so I got it for $3. If you don't mind taking a little time, it can be worth your while! My original bill was $90 and with my 25% and then my other “sale” deals, my total bill at the end was $25!

The other week, my husband asked me to get him some Breathe Right strips and some Qtips. I used my 30% off coupon and also $4/$20, and coupons for Breathe Right and Qtips and ECB's. Paid tax :)

Thanks so much :-) your the best

Is anyone having a problem with only the bar code printing and nothing else? I don't think they're going to accept a piece of paper with nothing but a bar code. Any suggestions?

    • Kristin

I got 3 Nivea body washes ($6.99/each) and used my 25% off coupon. Coupled with my ECB from the Therma Care wrap, 2 Band-aids, and listerine, I paid 8.99 (inc. tax) and got $5 in ECB for next week. That was my solution to everything in the store being on sale – and I outsmarted them by using the coupon towards an ECB deal. :)

    • My husband uses a shaving lotion that is never on sale and never has coupons, so this coupon will be great. Thanks!

    • LittleLady

So we can use this toward ECB deals?

      • Alison V.

i think so, just not on anything that's already on sale.

      • kidsallgone

        nope.
