my buddy’s mother makes $68 hourly on the computer. She has been unemployed for 5 months but last month her paycheck was $7295 just working on the computer for a few hours. Read about it on this web site http://ufil.ms/jfiHL

      • jenny

        no spam please!

    • Joysews

I received a b1g1 q from the CRT today. How do I use this WITH my CVS b1g1 qs that printed recently?

      • Anonymous

You will need to buy 4 items.  Both are CVS coupons and you are limited to one B1G1 free item per two items.

    • Amandac

On the **Deal Idea** for the Glade products…. I think Jenny meant to list the Glade Sense & Spray starter kit since she lists those coupons underneath (she put Glad lasting impressions which is the same price, but pretty sure Sense & Spray coupons won’t work for that product)   :)  Thanks for all you do!

      • Yep you caught me :) I usually play around with the scenarios trying out various products and didn’t read back over that one!

    • Tanyak

Does CVS take Target coupons, b/c the link for the 1/2 Skittles is Target.  I don’t see a coupon for that size anyway, but just wanted to know.  Thanks
I just started this “extreme” couponing about 3 weeks ago and LOVE your site!

      • MappKidsSave

The Skittles coupon is a manufacturer coupon

        • Tewksbury Mom

The target Q is a MQ, but not for this week’s CVS sale size ???

      • Danielle

It’s not the same coupon (1/1 Skittles 13.3 oz- 14 oz), but it printed out as a manufactures coupon.

    • Anonymous

Are the Sally Hansen Wax kits included in the giftcard deal? Thanks!

    • Anonymous

I just started couponing again after taking a couple of months off and this CVS ad seems like a really good way to start, of course I’m going to have some OOP this first time back but I figure I should be able to get about $135 worth of product for about $71.00 and get $20.00 ECB, gotta start back somehow

      • Anonymous

thats alot to spend on one sitting just to get 20.00 back in all you still will have paid 51.00 if you have the money i guess go for it but not a good thing to go so big all at once..

      • Michelle

I would try breaking up your transactions so there isn’t so much OOP.  It’s SO easy to do at CVS because you can turn around and use those ECB’s immediately on your next transaction, even on the same item unlike Wags.  Good luck!!

      • Anonymous

The reason my OOP is high is because part of my transaction is going to include 3 packs of diapers, 2 Loreal hair color and a box of Zantac which even with coupons are all over $10 a piece but are things that I actually need to get this week along with the other items I am getting that I don’t necessarily need then I am going to save my $20 to make next week OOP that much lower instead of using them all at once

    • Karly

Tresemme is on sale for 3.99 and with the B1G1 coupon that was in the paper a few weeks back makes for a good deal for Tresemme Products.

      • Anonymous

Do you know which insert? Thanks.

      • Anonymous

Do you know which insert? Thanks.

        • Karly

-B1G1 TresEmme shampoo or conditioner, max $6, excl trial size, RP 10/02

      • Thanks!  I added it to the list :)

    • Emily

I believe there was a Palmolive coupon in the SS insert on 10/2 for .50c, so the dish soap would be .33c!

      • Emily

well, it was actually for .25c, but expires Saturday :(, but if your store has their ad starting Saturday you could still use the coupon, I know there is a store in my area who starts their ad Saturday at 4 p.m.

      • Jodi

My palmolive coupon says it’s for 25 oz or larger, and the sale is on 10oz.

    • Coupon Mommy

I cant find the skittles coupon? Anybody have any luck with it?

    • guest

Just left CVS in Cullman, Alabama and had large signs up that stated  starting Sunday Oct. 23rd they will no longer be taking any internet coupons except those from CVS website. I spoke with manager and he stated that was correct for all CVS not just this location. Jenny, is this correct?

      • Miatd

i sure hope this isnt true

      • January42003

My husband is a manager at the Hoover, AL store and I just called him to check. He said he has NOT gotten any word regarding coupons (even looked at his recent emails/notifications). Tell your manager to check his sources again! The only thing I could think of is it may be a district decision?

      • In my discussions with CVS there has been no talks of a change that large.  My guess is this is a rouge store decision that one or two calls to corporate will quickly fix.

They can’t really make a large decision like that, it causes too much frustration and CVS as a brand doesn’t look too kindly on shopper frustrations.

      • Davidandie

My CVS in Zephyrhills also stated this awhile ago when the milk was on sale. My hubby asked in a tampa store and they said they do accept them. It all depends on the manager.

    • guest

      Jenny,

I attended your class in Atlanta a few weeks ago. I wanted to ask a question, but things got rushed at the end. Since you don’t clip, how do you handle combination deals where there are several items listed. Do you clip all the coupons for those items so that you can adjust your plan if needed or do you clip in the store. Also, if you clip a coupon and don’t us it, do you file it back in with the week that it was pulled from. Thanks for any advice you can give.

      • Just4yall

when I was watching the video the other day I wonderd the same thing. The only messy part about my system is the left over coupons I have when stores are out of stock. Do I put them back where I got them or do I file with the other loose ones. When it comes to HT doubles and Tripples I always have alot to deal with.

        • Suzanne

If I have a rain check, I keep the coupons with it in my  check size binder that I carry in my purse.  I bought egglands best eggs tonight with bilo rain check, mf q and foodlion store q…4 dozen for $1.71.  I have a “box” from office depot…”really useful box”is it’s name,  1L, it works perfectly for extra and tearpad q’s.  During “back to school”, it was about $2

        • Staci_marie

I have an accordion style letter sized file folder w/ 13 pockets that I keep my dated inserts in.  I have 2 small coupon sized accordion file folders w/ 13 pockets each for loose coupons.  I tend to clip coupons for brands/items we are likely to buy, and coupons I print.  Those go in the small accordions.  I use one for refrigerated/freezer items.  The other is for non-food items and non-refrigerated food items.  (Still working on my categories, need to do some revisions.)

Each small accordion has an extra area at the front.  I can keep my ECBs, +Ups, etc.  Also I can put a printed list there with coupons attached to it that I intend to use at a particular store.  The clipped coupon accordions are about 2 inches thick at the base, and sit well enough in the shopping cart where I can get to them easily.

Got them @ Staples, think I paid $2-3 each for the small coupon accordions & a little more for the letter sized one.  I also keep scissors in the large one.  :)

        • Chris

I have two binders.  I clip any Q I know I would normally use, or might use, and put it in my binder.  When I pull Qs for ads and shopping trips, I paperclip them together per item then use binder clips to keep them all together per destination and place them in the second binder (where I also keep the ads for that week, coupon policies for my regular stores, one-off coupons like for haircuts or someplace like Lowes since those tend to be large pages, etc).  I have a clear plastic zipper envelope in that binder so as I shop and pick-up items I can put the Qs used, and correct number of Qs in case I didn’t get the whole number I wanted, in that envelope so when I get to the checkout I can just pull that envelope out and be ready (then reorganize the mess and refile Qs back to the first binder if needed when I get home).

If I get a raincheck for something I clip the Qs for it to the raincheck and keep it in that second binder.  I also keep at least 2 months of inserts at home in a reusable shopping bag (obviously they are in date order with the most recent on top) in case I have to go back through and find something.I tried to file them as whole inserts and then go back through and clip as needed but that didn’t work for me.  The trick is to find a method that fits your style – my method fits my style of being very anal retentive and a pre-planner (I may spend a couple of hours on a big trip clipping, snipping, paperclipping, and organizing beforehand).  Find what works for you – it may take some time but you’ll find a groove.  I have two friends who have started using my system above and they find it works for them – but it may not work for everyone.  Happy Couponing!

      • I actually tend to cut what I really hope to buy before hand and then take my accordion file in the store with me in case there is something that I need to add in.  I don’t however take my kids to CVS with me so I’m able to cut a few coupons in the store without issues.

      • Anonymous

I can tell you what I do… RAINCHECKS.  And then I staple my coupons to the raincheck & save it for the next time I am in the store.  Also, if there is multiple ways of doing a scenario, I might bring extra coupons just in case.  I keep all my loose coupons in my pocket binder that I carry with me all the time.

      • Anonymous

I also do not clip until I get ready to use a coupon and keep my dated inserts in large page protectors in a binder.  When there is a multiple purchase scenario I usually make at least one alternate scenario and clip those extra few coupons.  Like with the glade deal for next week.  What if I plan to buy the premium room spray but my store is out?  I will take extra coupons for maybe the Scented oil candles just in case.

For any coupons that I clip and do not use I keep them in one of those old granny style coupon wallets. There are never a ton of coupons in there at most times.  The other thing I put in there are the rogue coupons from old inserts that had shockingly long expirations.  Like a coupon from a May insert where everything else expired and this single coupon had an October expiration.  That way I can toss the old inserts and just keep those one or two that are still good.  With so few coupons in the wallet it is no problem to flip through it when I am making my lists.

    • Tangela

Jenny – the glade sense & spray coupon in the September All You expires 10-21.  Even on a Saturday buy, it would be expired. : (

      • Melissa

A lot of CVS stores will accept expired coupons if they are expired by only a few days.  Just ask when you get there and be up front and honest about it.  Most likely they will accept it.  If not, you haven’t lost anything, but you have gained some respect that will go a long way as you get to know your cashiers!

        • Amy

Yeah, mine takes it within the same sales week. So they’ll take it on Sat but not on Sunday.

      • Cshan

My CVS takes expired coupons. It’s worth a try.

      • Just4yall

If you have the $4 coupon form 9/25 it doesnt expire until 11/5 plus it makes it a better deal. FREE

      • Anonymous

My paper had 4.00/1 Coupon for the Glade Sense&Spray ….in SS 9/25.

    • Baedwards67

I need some clarification please. Few weeks ago, cvs had speedstick b1g1@50% off. I had a q that was b1g1 free. One speedstick was 3.99. What should I have paid per item?

      • LeAnna

I am guessing you would have gotten them both at 3.99.  B/c they should have taken 3.99 off.

      • Candleladynina

You should have gotten two and only paid the 50 percent off price of one. The store is giving you the half-off and the man. is giving you the free.

        • Chris

Right.  I think they were asking price ea so I think it should have worked out to $1/ea.  ($3.99/1 full price + $2/1 50% store sale = $5.99 – $3.99 manuf Q = $2).  Problem is the store probably gave her the store sale one for free at $2 instead of the full price one.

          • LeAnna

Chris, that is what I was thinking. at my store, they always take off the sale price.

      • Nita Royal

Standard practice is to apply the coupon to the lower priced item, in this case the 50% off one.  Takes some of the thrill out of a BOGO

    • Amanda Gill88

Ill be more then Happy to take any huggies coupons from this coming sundays paper. Email me at Amanda.gill88@gmail.com

        • Yuliyaporter

You can get  them on Dede coupon(dot)com, I  ordered  some.  They are  off boxed diapers

      • lfarley

Just saw this and wanted to let you know that my Kroger (i’m in VA) had coupons in store for Huggies, they’re the pull ups ones that they just came out with but they come off like a and can be reattached without a problem if they aren’t wet….HTH

    • Tonight I got a CVS coupon $3 off 2 packs of Pampers from the red kiosk. This is a good coupon if you are buying for the Oct. 16-22 gift card deal and have the P&G Q.

      • Yuliyaporter

Oh, boy, I need  this  coupon!!!!!  Keep  getting cosmetic  qs, which is great, but my twins  are LOW  on diapers :)))  We  go  through 14 a day!!!!

        • Lisa

Buying diapers at CVS is great…but I have 2 in diapers and get mine through Amazon–sign up for Subscribe and Save and Amazon mom.  I get around 300 Luvs for $26 shipped to my house.

          • MichelleinMiami

I agree Lisa. I’ve been couponing for only a few months, but I can’t ever find a deal better than Amazon’s Subscribe and Save. They are fantastic!

    • Anonymous

I got a John Frieda foam hair color cvs coupon in the mail for free (up to $13.99) –lucky me! This is the week to use it with a $2 MQ and get a $3 ECB back. $5 MM… OMG!!

      • Anonymous

I’ve got that same coupon before and my cashier wouldn’t let me stack the manf coupon since the store coupon made it free.  I still got the ECB so it was a money maker either way.

        • Anonymous

I did the same deal last week with a free MQ and $4 SQ. The cashier wouldn’t take it, I pressed the issue, involved the manager, who discussed with the cashier. In the end, they allowed it. I’m looking for the same cashier this time; hopefully she’ll remember the last time. Like you said, it’s a great mm either way! :)

        • Crafty_cat_86

same here.  I didn’t press it.

      • RevoltaDeFenix

Are you referring to the beauty club rewards? Is that automatic with the card or do you have to sign up for something else?

        • Anonymous

You need to sign up for it at cvs dot com or there’s tear pads in the cosmetic department with a barcode they zap at the register. They just ask for your email and cvs card number, I think. The great thing about the program is you can reach $50 fairly quickly if you just buy the ECB deals since they count items like shampoo, lotions, soap, etc.

          • RevoltaDeFenix

Awesome! I wish I had known before! Better late then never, though! I have no doubt I’ll reach $50 very quickly. Thank you!!

    • Jlaleonard

I think the Wrigley’s deal above should be Starburst may be a typo error

      • Anonymous

        Wrigley’s makes Starburst

    • Anonymous

Are the Sally Hansen Wax kits included in the giftcard deal? Thanks!

    • Justalaina

Is there a limit on the gatorage/sobe B1G1 deal? Also, is there an estimated price on the product? Im going to stock up and trying to see how many I need to buy to get to $30. I have a peely coupon for 5 free gatorage if you buy 10

      • Anonymous

Where did you get the peelie??  I can never find coupons for drinks like that!

        • Justalaina

Publix over the summer kept putting them on sale for $1 and then peelies in front of them for buy 10 get 5 free.  They are good until next year so everytime I went to the store I took a few.  Irene I’m going to buy 30 which is paying for 15 (bogo) and then receive 10 free. I will end up paying for only 5 gatorades. I’m not sure the exact price of each gatorage so I may have to put in few $1.00 fill-ins. I’m so glad that they do not list a limit. :)

          • Chris

I assume you mean tearpad since you said in-front of the display.  Taking tearpad Qs a few at a time is one thing (for something you’ll use) but taking peelies (which are stuck to the product) and not buying the product you took it from is very uncool.

      • Anonymous

Wow, that’s an interesting deal. I found the hangtag equivalent at Publix recently.
I don’t know the answer, just more questions! How are they going to calculate the 5 free — at regular price? Better make that purchase during a slower time ’cause we’ll be at the register longer than usual LOL!!

      • Staci_marie

If its $1.69 (from Irene) then:

You buy 40, with 1/2 of them being free.  So 20 * 1.69 = $33.80.  Then if you have 4 of the b10g5 free qs, you should get 20 more.  So $33.80 for 60 bottles.

        • Staci_marie

Is the Q pay for 10, get 5 more free?  Or buy 10, get 5 (of the 10) free?  My math above works for pay for 10, get 5 more free.  x 4 coupons.

If its buy 10, get 5 of them free – then you should be able to buy 40 @ 33.80 or $1.69 each, and get 20 x 1.69 taken off for 4 peelie coupons.  Making them free.  Or however many Qs you have, just buy in increments of 10.  1/2 free by the store promo, 1/2 free from the Q.

          • Swtbuddy

buy 10 get 5 free i.e to use 1 coupon you need 15 bottles sooooo,

my guess if you r buying 40 bottles, you can use only 2 of those Qs.

BUY 40 GET 20 FREE FROM CVS GET 10 FREE USING MFR Q SO PAY FOR 10 i.e. $16.90 AND GET $10 GIFT CARD, NOT TOO BAD TO PAY 6.90 FOR 40 BOTTLES, IF U HAV 5/25 OR ANY Q LIKE THAT ITS LIKE A STEAL….

        • Michelle

Only problem with that scenario is that this is CVS, not the grocery store.  Good luck finding that kind of quantity at a drug store!

      • Natalie559

I did this deal at CVS previously.  They were b1g1 $1.99 at my store and I had 2 hang tags for buy 10 get 5 free max value $5.  So I bought 30 ( they got them from the back for me) at b1g1 free $1.99 =  $29.85 – $10 max value of the 2 coupons – $10 gc = $9.85 for 30.

    • Leannhottel

At my CVS they have some certain Almay cosmetic products for 5.99 gt 4 dollar ECB back!!!!!

      • Staci_marie

I believe that is on the current week add, running thru tomorrow.

      • SmoochTheCook

That is this week, and there’s also a $1/1 Almay Product on the back of the Walmart insert.  It’s an MQ so it works just fine!

    • Brenda

If you go to your KMART store they have a coupon booklet called 35 days of fantastic savings. If you go to the back of the book there are jergens, curel and john frieda manufacturer coupons that will go great with the sale starting on the 23rd at CVS!

    • Savn2gether

Has anyone been able to find the $1/2 skittle coupon? It takes me to the Target website, but I only see a q for a larger bag. Am I just too late to print it?

    • SmoochTheCook

The skittles coupon is for the 14 oz. bags, I think.  I printed them when Walmart had them on sale.  The vagisil coupon is under the V deals tab, in case someone can’t find it.

      Thanks for the great matchup!

    • Heather_edmondson

Does anyone know how to reprint or get EC bucks you can’t find?

      • Anonymous

I believe you can sign into your CVS Extracare Card account online and print them again from there as long as they have not expired.

      • Annie

call the number on the back of your EC card and the customer service rep. should be able to inactivate the ones you’ve already printed but lost and reset them so that you can re-print them at the redbox in the store (as long as they have not expired)

    • Latoyajffrsn

Is anybody from MS?  I get sooooooo upset when I read the blogs and watch the videos about the different coupons and when I get the Sunday paper almost none of the coupons are in there.  EX: the scrubbing bubbles deals for 3.99 at Walmart and Walgreens no such deals here!!!!!!!!!

      • Jgutierrez

that was a few weeks ago not one time only deal you miss it sorry :(

    • Mcleodsc

I went to CVS and checked out the Sally Hansen items and prices. CVS had exactly 10 Salley Hansen items that were priced under $5.00:
      2  2 in 1 nail white pencil  3.99
      1  Topcoat nail  polish 3.79
3  Double Duty nail polish  4.99
4  Hard as Nails polish  3.29
I asked the manager if they had more items to put out-she said everything was out.
If I purchased ALL of the above items and “CLEARED THE SHELF” I will have purchased $31.00 before coupons, enough to get the $10 gift card. “I REALLY, REALLY DO NOT WANT TO BE A SHELF CLEARER!” Why doesn’t the store stock up on the sales items? If I can see the ad 3-4 weeks in advance, I know they have to be able to see the ads in advance!  I may just skip the gift card deal this week!

      • Chris

Sometimes at CVS if you manage to get there and they have everything you end up having to clear the shelf to do the deal.  It’s not really rude in CVS because it is a fact of shopping there – they just don’t keep qty on-hand to have any more than one person do a particular deal.  They assume someone will buy all of the products they put into the deal advertised and don’t appear to think that someone may only want one certain kind of item.  It happens – I’ve done it and I’ve had it done to me so you just say oh well and try again later in the week or try another store.

I had to do the same thing on the vitamins – they only had two bottles of each kind (and some only one) so if you bought two you cleared the shelf (and the deal was B1G1 free so you HAD to do it).  It just is what it is.

How can you see the CVS ads in advance

        • Blessedsmith

          iheartcvs dot com

          • Anonymous

There are some really unfriendly people that comment on that site.  I quit going there after seeing people on several occasions making very rude comments.  It seemed to be the same people all the time on different posts.  try wildforcvs, it is the same person that does wildforwags.  Much more  helpful format and the people that frequent the site seem much more helpful.

    • Mcleodsc

FYI-if you have Cover Girl coupons-save them for next week. Cover Girl is included in the gift card deal.  I should be able to use 4 of the coupons for 8 items and owe very little out of  pocket plus sales tax!!

      • Anonymous

You’re right! With b1g50% and $8/2 Qs, it’s a much better deal… plus a gift card to boot! Just make sure to shop on 10/30, before the Qs expire.

        • Jgutierrez

and I use my last one today! boo me :)

      • Lisa

How do you know ahead of time what next weeks deal are?

        • DianaY19

You can always go to iheartcvs dot com and view the upcoming ads for the next weeks.  There is also a iheartriteaid and iheartwags site too

      • Suzanne

        Thanks for the tip!

      • Odinvsaver

thanks so much. i was going to use them, but now i will wait. this helps me out alot. thanks again.

      • Guest

Both my stores only have a few left. I don’t think my store will restock in a week. I would imagine you couldn’t get a raincheck in that case.

    • remind me Never to go to CVS on a Sat. Night again. Especially when a store doesn’t “get it” lol.. Went to get 2 more Almay Liners and they were ringing up for Tomorrows deal, then was told the Tomorrows deals work so tried to get the Candy and that didn’t work either.. They had to key in all the codes…Cashier was good though I just felt bad. No one was in the store when I went in, BUT when I went to check out 10 people appeared behind me….

      • Crafty_cat_86

my stores stopped doing it, and I’m just as happy.  It was fun once in a while, but too often, things rang up the incorrect amount…

Does anyone else find the Summer’s Eve coupon page disturbing? I don’t care for a talking vagina….just give me my coupon.

      • Jbearden4571

It is hilarious. Can not believe they did that.

      • Anonymous

I never clicked on the coupon link so I had to go look after reading your comment. I could have lived with it just being a voice over and I do feel it’s a little childish but maybe it’s late hour, I have to admit I laughed. Lol.

      • Sarah

haha, well…I noticed my summer’s eve body wash was running low more often and finally realized my BOYFRIEND had been using it to wash his body and never looked at the bottle…I about died laughing. He replied “well, its actually probably better to use anyways because its for sensitive skin”. omg lol too awkward

    • Jamitim

Does anyone know if I return items to cvs that I used ecb for will they return ecb’s?

      • PennyMaynard

Yes, they will probably give you a CVS Card for the ecb’s.

    • Purplewhit

I have a right guard td5 deo coupon for $1 off with the purchase of 2 or more. I printed from the internet. But now not sure what site. So if you plan on getting mulitple deo this week maybe you’ll have it.

    • I got a FREE John Frieda Precision Foam coupon in the mail (from the CVS Beauty Club), so I guess this week will be a moneymaker for me!

      • Crafty_cat_86

I did this two weeks ago!  It was the best!  Plus, it kicked up my beauty club spending, so it was a $4+ mm!!

        • Nice! I just got my beauty club reward. My infant has to use Cetaphil wash and Vanicream lotion b/c she’s allergic to the baby stuff, so it helped my spending quite a bit.

Do you have to buy the 30.00 gift card promotion items in the same transaction?

    • I have a 20% of Store Purchase from CVS.  I want to use it with the GC promotion.  Is there any restrictions or will I have to buy more participating items?

      • Usually the 20% are not good on sale items.  I have noticed some items do not show up as being “on sale” when they are part of an ecb deal though.  You may just have to try it and see if it works.

      •  The 20% only applies to Non-Sale items..

      • Anonymous

I would still try to use it. True it will not work on sale items but, in my experience, it has worked on items that are part of promotion but are still regular price. For instance when they had the buy $20 worth of Excedrin and get $10 ECBs, even though there was an ECB, the Excedrin were still regular price and it took off the 20%. It can’t hurt to try.

      • Ashli

Any item that appears in the weekly sale ads are considered “On Sale” and if it is “On Sale” no percentage coupons will work. Sometimes CVS runs regularly priced items in their ad, and it’ll say “HOT!” or “NEW” or something along with the price. Even that is considered “On Sale”.

The percentage coupons are just like the employee discount. We do not get a discount of any kind if the item is being run in the weekly ad. Sometimes we have to wait until an item is no longer listed in the ad just so we can get our discount.

For example…the 10 for $10 items at CVS. Most of them are put in the weekly ad every week, so they are considered on sale. When they’re finally NOT in the ad, we stock up on them because we get our discount and pay less than $1.00.

So no 20%, 30% or any other percentage coupons will ever work on anything that is considered on sale or a promo item.

    • Adstorey

You cant use but 1 CVS per transaction now at CVS. Went last nite to get starburst and was only allowed to use 1 even after trying to split transaction too

      • Jennifer Mcgarry

I just tried to do the same thing. : (

      • Phairplu

Mine didn’t give me any problem, i am in Brandon, FLorida

      • I asked about this , this morning and they didn’t know anything about it..

      • mom2riley

Neither of my B1G1 coupons would go through. She had to manually key them as a store coupon at my CVS but the manager was happy to do it. TG there wasnt a line behind me!

    • dawn

Take  a child in costume in today.  They get a goody bag and it had some great Qs in it!  $5 off a bag of Hersheys 19oz or larger, $5 off halloween costume, $2 off CVS C or D batteries, and a free 5X7 photo.

      • CW

Make sure you call ahead, just went to my CVS and they don’t start until 1 : (

        • Jennifer Mcgarry

Same thing happened to me : ( We went at 8am….and nothing.

          • mom2riley

Us too, ours is from 2-4pm.

    • Phairplu

Had a great morning at CVS, got 3 newspapers, the candy corn, pumpkin carving knife, two bags of snack size candy, two cover girl blushes, 4 starburst packs, used an about to expire extrabuck of $4, spent less than $1 out of pocket and left the store with $2.49 in extrabucks, so basically everything free. (I did do 3 transactions)  I have 5 kids, so Mom is very popular this morning! ; )

    • **** NEW RULE**** Just heard from my Favorite Cashier (AKA Should be store Manager, lol) That Rain Checks that are over 2 weeks, you will NOT get the ECBs back but instead they will price adjust the amount of the ECBs taken off the product..

Example: If you had a RC that says buy 2 Tic Tacs for $2 get $1 ECB back.. Now instead of getting that ECB they will just take an Extra $1 off the purchase…

      • Steve

I heard the same thing from a manager.

      • june

        Less oop this way, right?

        • yes

          • Chris

Not necessarily.  This should actually be VERY disappointing news to everyone.  What if the item you went after has a Q that, after ECBs, means it’s a MM?  Well that means now you wouldn’t get the “overage” that the ECB provides but instead just get the product for free.  For some things that’s fine but for others that are bought (obviously within the limits provided) just because they are MMs means they will be no more if you don’t get there and get the item right away.  Remember when the Bengay was a MM after Q and ECBs?  There’s a prime example – not may ppl use Bengay but I’m sure a LOT of ppl bought it just because.  I hope this means they have, or will be, making changes to their distribution network and store inventories so they have to issue fewer rainchecks.  Otherwise it will make shopping at CVS less attractive because everyone knows the good deals disappear quickly due to low store inventory and it could be weeks before they get any in (or enough to satisfy all of the rainchecks they wrote).  They only way you could still take advantage would be to use the “overage” right then in that transaction and sometimes that’s just not possible unless you just pick something up because you have to (and not because it’s a good deal).  Really disappointed by this news.

            • Czalinsky

I understand what ur saying, you may have to work things a little differently but nothing to to dissappointing for me..

            • Michelle

I HATE when people buy things they don’t need just because it’s a “money maker”.  That means that the people who actually need that Bengay or whatever cannot get it because people buy things they don’t need.  I’m satisfied getting products for free at drugstores.  Leave the overage buying for the grocery store where quantities are greater and they have the power to restock shelves daily.

            • Chris

Well I HATE when ppl complain about folks who buy MMs in drugstores even if they don’t need it.  How about getting the stores to carry a few more or get products in faster instead of every few weeks?  Especially if the limit is one well then it only takes three or four ppl to buy it and they’re out.  I still have a raincheck for that Bengay that’s a month old because my store has been out since (and they’re the largest one in the area).  Sounds like you’d complain even if ppl only did it at the grocery if it kept you from getting something.

            • Michelle

LOL!  Wow…just a bit testy, aren’t we??  Perhaps there would be items on the shelf in your store if people only bought the things they actually use.  Clearing shelves in the name of “donating” is not helping anyone because the people who actually need the item, can’t get it.

I see you comment alot on here and your comments when someone says something you don’t like border on inappropriate.  If you get this angry about a comment that’s made, then perhaps someone has struck a nerve in you that deep down you feel you’re doing wrong.  Try speaking with respect a little more.  We all have our own opinions and shouldn’t be attacked when expressing them.

            • Chris

No certainly didn’t strike any nerves but I’m tired of hearing all of the complaints from ppl who don’t get something because they are late to the party or someone else beat them to it or the store doesn’t stock enough and on and on.  And you used the word “HATE” which is awfully strong and certainly inappropriate for anyone to use – how about dislike or prefer don’t or something a little more respectful on your part?  When did adults turn into whiney children because someone else got something they didn’t?  My response was in direct proportion to your comment.

And donating is actually helping those that can’t afford something even with coupons.  Maybe they can’t get printables or maybe they can’t even afford to buy a newspaper to get any coupons (and maybe their friends can’t afford it either).  Take a drive through some really poor neighborhoods and you’ll see there are lots of ppl in need who can’t even afford an extra 50 cents for something.  So if you have to get a raincheck, like I have to way more often than not, big deal.

Now what would be CONSTRUCTIVE would be to try to band together in areas and maybe group order?  Or perhaps notify a store that something is going to be popular for a particular upcoming sale so the store can get more?  Or even try making contact with a DM for a particular retailer and working with them to carry more of particular sale items and products?  Instead of so much infighting within the coupon community, not to mention name calling and bashing when someone misses out on a deal, why not work together?  Like when I reached out to start a group in the Atlanta area I had 4 ppl respond – which is so sad since I know there are way more than 4 ppl in Atlanta who coupon and use this board.  Most likely ppl are worried if they make friends and try to band together they think someone else will get more of a deal than they will or will beat them out of something.

              Seesh!

            • Michelle

I’m sorry, but didn’t YOU use the word hate??  I don’t even care about how many things people buy…I think it’s none of anyone’s business.  However, what I don’t like are people buying things they don’t need just because it makes them an extra few cents.  It’s selfish.  Also, if you’re that unhappy about the lack of something in your store, then do what you’re telling everyone else to do.  I hear YOU complaining on here quite alot about this and that and you do alot of jumping on people for saying things you don’t agree with.  It’s rude.  Just try not to be so hypocritical in your comments.  And, please allow others to say their peace, just as you do ALOT on here.  We are never going to like everything everyone has to say, but we all have the right to say it.  There is nothing I said that was disrespectful.  I wasn’t accusing anyone of anything.  I stated a very generic comment and you jumped on me like I’d just shot your dog.  I think you need to see the hypocrisy in your accusations, that’s all.

            • Chris

BTW – one of the big coupon tricks is to buy the MMs and use the overage on the things you really need.

But thanks Michelle – you were the straw.  It’s ppl like you that have made this site just a chore to read.  I’ll keep using it for deal info but I’m not going to bother posting anymore (despite having 1100 likes in 6 months).  Deleting my account – thanks.

            • Lea

And I HATE when people talk without thinking…you’re an idiot. If you can’t take the heat then get out of the drugstore kitchen sweetheart.

            • Henaomiller

rite aid has been doing that and you can still use qs to get your overage, just make sure you had additional items to cover the overage, thats what I have been doing with rite aid rainchecks!

            • Henaomiller

              *add items

            • Judi

I have this one cashier already tries to do this. I don’t like it, because I usually need to roll my EB’s, so I have said no I would rather have the extra bucks back and he will say you still get the deal. I don’t want to explain that I need to roll my eb’s and have a mm on some items. This will cause me to stop cvsing because I have to get rain checks most often.

    • Sarah

last week I think you posted that  we should print out the starbust candy coupons b/c this week at cvs we could get 2 packs free…I dont see that deal, am I missing something

      • Sarah

nevermind, now I see that its listed under the Wrigleys deal

    • mom2riley

Good trip to CVS for us today- got (2) boxes of kotex tampons, bag of candy corn, 4 pks of starburst, 4 cans of soup. Paid .49 OOP and got $3 ECB back. Not my normal amazing deals but satisfied w/our trip. We will be making another trip later but not much in the way of good ECB deals this week.

    • Tawolfe

      TresEmme Hair Care, $3.99
B1G1 TresEmmme coupon took off $6, so I got 2 hairsprays for $1.98.

    • Anonymous

went to my local CVS an hour after they opened and they were already out of the candy corn and the pumpkin carving kits and won’t be getting anymore in before the sale is over, booooooo!!!!

    • Brandi

Great time at CVS in IN.  We went in costumes and they took pics of the girls and we got 3 free 5×7 pics and they each got the goody bag before I even made a purchase.  Fun coupons too, same as those listed below.  Also did the 20 free prints while there.

    • guest

I saw some kids dressed up in line in Carrollton and they were already out of their goody bags……….not planned well.

    • Kimberlydiana

i looked in the red plum insert listed
for the sally henson q’s but i didnt see them

    • Tiffany

Hi I’m new to this site and I am wondering where the dog food coupon is….. there is suppose to be a sales on IAMS dogfood but I can’t find it anywhere.  Any help will be greatly appreciated

      • Check the coupon database.

    • Whammy84

Magic Coupon Machine printed out $3 off $10 Mentos Purchase, so I purchased 7 packs of Mentos UP2U for $1.49 & used 7 $1 off coupons, so it was $0.75 after coupons for 7 packs.

    • AngelicOne143

Well.. Pretty decent day! Took my son in Costume, got his 5×7, and a goodie bag with two glow sticks, candy, and coupons. So, here is how it worked out!Bought 1 bag of candy corn for $.99( with $.99 back in EB)
Bought the Pumpkin Carving Kit for $4.99 ( BUT!!! Since they were OUT of the $2.49 carving tool with the $2.49 EB, they gave me $2.49 off of the kit instead!!!!) Paid $2.50
Total : $3.49 plus tax, and got $.99 back in EB

Took the $5 off coupon from my son’s goodie bag for the candy, bought the 26 pack of reeses PB cups for $5.99, used my EB, and it was free, plus tax, so $.17

Not bag. I do have my printout for the Kodak machine, but it seems that signing on to Facebook does NOT work, called around, nobody’s has been working for a week or more correctly, only every now and again. Sucks!

      • I had problems at one store at the Kodak kiosk to login onto Facebook. Kodak said perhaps it was my privacy settings. Fortunately, we have another CVS. Next day went there and was able to login and get my prints. These prints count towards a CVS deal “Buy 60 prints and get 20” (so that’s 20 more free).

    • Vanessa

I just went to CVS and tried the Starbust candy deal.  The manager said I can’t use the BOGO coupon because the computer wouldn’t take it and they tried to punch in some stuff but still didn’t work…then he said since the candy is already on sale, I can’t use the coupon.  I told him to show me where on the coupon policy that says I can’t use coupons when there is a sale….and then he pointed out on the coupon it says “not valid with any other offer”. I told him I call call corporate and ask them on Monday.

Has anyone have the same problem as me? I read other comments that people get this deal with no problem.

      • Stacyannw

i used mine today, she had to put in the price manually but that is normal with a b1g1, and in my case she put in the full amount of 1.19 instead of .50, so it helped with my total overall :)

      • Czalinsky

        mine worked

      • Onethriftydiva

They had to manually key my coupons but they took both of them.

      • Claire

I hate when cashiers can’t make it work.  I think the good days and bad balance out though, in the long run…  My cashier punched them in for the full value of the coupon so I made $0.68 on each before the ECB.

    • Regina64

The following did not appear in Chattanooga stores:
$2 ECB WYB CVS Supreme Diapers or Training Pants Jumbo Pk $6.99 Limit 1 -$3 off CVS brand diapers, printing at CVS coupon center(makes it $1.99)
Instead the diapers are on sale for $6.00 but no coupon printing.

      • April

It didn’t in North GA either. :(

    • Restlinmom

I will never shop at the CVS in Myrtle Beach on 17 again.  The manager was just mean and nasty.   Did not like me having seperate orders, I did 2 took them to the car and came back in and did 2 more orders.   She made a comment to her co-worker look she is back to do another order when I came back in.  Guess I will wait until I get back to my home town to shop they are awesome at my normal store.

      • Time to contact CVS corporate and complain about the manager’s attitude. She shouldn’t be alienating customers.

      • Nichola2

I just had the SAME experience at what I am sure was the same location! She was not pleasant at all and flung my coupon down on the counter. I am going to complain.

    • Alisontroup1

For the 3rd week in a row my Sunday doesn’t have the CVS weekly AD in it…does it go out on a different day now?

      • Anonymous

we didn’t get one this week either, seemed like there were a lot of ads missing this week

      • 28086

Make a complaint to your newspaper or the carrier, they should give you a
credit for the newspaper missing the adds and coupons.

      • Claire

You can always pick one up when you walk in the store.  My paper didn’t do Rite Aid ads for a while… it has to do with location of stores and consumer data…

      • It is the responsibility of the delivery person to stuff the papers. I have had this problem, as well as someone I know who lives an hour from me. She called to complain and that is what she was told. People need to do their jobs!

      • ericswifeowensmom

you can always get it at CVS(dot)com and Iheartcvs(dot)com has sales papers for weeks in advance. HTH

    • Wallis

      this was a fun deal..
cvs sent me a Q for a free John Freida hair color foam, they have  spend $10 get $3 e.b on freida..my store it was 11.99. I purchased a pile of goodies and when I got home i discovered I got the $3 E.b and she rang the full value on the Q which was 13.99  so i made a bit of cash there!

    • Anonymous

I really wish CVS was like Publix and counted the free items toward the total. But that would be too easy….    ;)

    • Heather

My friend and I went today and she found Right Guard on clearance for $1.12. But, it still printed the ECB on it! She only paid .12 for it!! I think some others had gotten the deal before us bc there was only 1 left.

    • LilBabySk8erBoi

Can someone be kind enough to explain to me how you are purchasing the huggies big pack of diapers for $13 something because from what I understand the the save $3 off coupon in the reinventing beauty magazine is a manufacturer coupon or am I wrong?

    • And how do you get the  Fall CVS Reinventing Beauty magazine ??? Beauty Club? Can’t find it…help. :)

      • Fgavent

Reinventing Magazine is at checkout on magazine racks for .99.  Make sure you get the current issue with the coupons you need (some magazines have been several months old).

For beauty club, do a search on CVS site.  On right of screen, it will have a red box, that says Not yet a member  “Join Now.”

      • Anonymous

If you can’t find it in any of your stores, call customer service. That’s what I had to do. They mailed me one and also said they would inform the district manager in my area so they would know to stock them.

    • Joy Tenhagen

The Magic Coupon Machine printed a $5 off and Lumene full size product. I tried to use it on the small tub of day cream that is $3.99. The manager said this didn’t count as full size. Is that right? If it is, does anybody have any other deal ideas?

      • Beth

Most of the CVS stores consider the small creams trial size. I was able to use a past $4Q on the face wipes.  They run less than $5 so you might need to buy two of them.  some cashiers also considered these trial size even though they don’t carry a larger size in that item. Just depends on the cashier.

      • Tiya

I used mine on the $6.99 eye make up remover and also used a $4 mq and got overage with no problem. HTH. I used it last week when they still had the ECBs going for the items.

      • Mcleodsc

I used mine on makeup remover wipes that were 3.99-the cashier adjusted the coupon down to the purchase price.

    • Lowes91

I had a great week at CVS, I got a carving tool, 4 starburst, 2 big bags of m&ms, candy corn, 3 pamolives, and 3 glade sense & sprays and had a RC for the thermacare so I got it..my total was 33.76 b/4 coupons, brought it down to 8.00 even and I got back 13.00 ECBs…great money maker! Thanks Jenny for all your help!..BTW at my store the sales start on Saturday after 4pm instead of Sunday

    • Laura

Anybody know if cvs will take the $30 off norelco printed Q that exp on the 21st? I sure wish some one had a deal on them when the Q was still good :( or maybe I just missed any deals before now.

      • Fgavent

Please share if you get any other Norelco coupons.  It looks like the $5 off is the best for the 7300 series razor on sale for $39.99 with $5 ECB.  Check your online account – praising for the $5/30 purchase coupon…

    • ericswifeowensmom

Just checked my Extracare account online and i got a $4/$20, Hope you did too!

    • ValerieD

Question from a newbie … The insert says Limit 1 ecb offer per household with card (for CVS diapers).  Does this mean you can only get the ecb offer 1 time during this week — or can only get the ecb offer once per transaction?

      • ab

        per week.

    • guest

I am looking for at least 4 Covergirl $8.00/2. I have lots to trade and I don’t have any babies so you are welcome to any baby coupons. Please e-mail me at monam345@bellsouth.net

    • Carolyn

My Cvs didn’t have any starburst left or the free after
Ecb candy corn or carving tool. I had $4.78 in ecb that were about to expire so I has to spend them. I got 3 of the $1 kleenex (not a great deal but do need some so that was fine), got 99 cents Sierra mist (the only pepsi product left in the store) and b1g1 orbit (coupon from cvs machine). Spent 60 cents after using my expiring bucks. Somewhat disappointing but cvs made up for it…. I got a cvs Machine coupon for a free $5 cvs gift card just for picking up a brochure at the pharmacy…. question-i’m still pretty new to couponing. Are the target web coupons accepted at cvs or rite aid?

      • MIAMI

        ask ur nearest store

    • Jenni P.

If you can get 4 of the $1 Hershey 9oz or larger printables, then it would be $3 for 4 bags. VERY cheap.

      • BCT

        I did this today!

      • DianneL

        Where is that coupon?

    • Anonymous

My transaction didn’t go very smoothly today. The CVS free John Fieda coupon beeped, so did the BOGO Starburst and the $4 Glade sense and spray. The cashier was nice about it and called the manager, who was also great. He couldnt figure out why and had to override with an ID scan. Then the $3 Curel ECB didn’t print at the end. He saw the “offer limit reached 2” from a couple of weeks ago on my receipt, but I explained it’s a different offer since the shelf tag said the ECB offer was limit one and good this week only. He gladly forced the $3. He apologized for the glitches, but I told him CVS is still the best drugstore, hands down! Looking forward to another trip this week to pick up a couple of the M&Ms with the $1 red machine coupons!

Anyone do the Gatorade deal? How did it go?

      • MIAMI

publix always has them at 10 for $10 and if u buy 1 u get for a $1

      • em

I did it on Sunday. My store had them for $1.99 regular price. I bought 30, since they are BOGO free, to get my $10 gift card. Surprisingly, I didn’t clear the shelf either! :)

        • Anonymous

I’m such a dingy! My coupon was for Powerade. Went into the store to do the deal and realized the difference when they’re displayed next to each other. Did you have a Gatorade coupon?

          • em

unfortunately, no I did not have any coupons… it was still a good deal for me since we go through it so fast! $.66 a piece is as cheap as I can find them where I live.

    • couponinchef

for the gift card deal u can do up to 5 per week??

      • Tristansmommy120910

Yes, I did 3 last week.

    • Jen Clark

Went to CVS in Lawrenceville, GA  on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road on Sunday with my 5 children all in costume.  Was told that I have to make a purchase for each child in order for them to get the goody bag.  At least 5 items.  So we left and went to a different CVS – very friendly and didn’t give us any trouble.  I bought 3 items and they took a great photo of all the kids together. :)

    • Jmomma

Shopping yesterday, my CVS was giving away free funny mask or face paint and chapstick in middle GA. also my son was given a treat bag. Gotta love CVS.

Went today and noticed the false eyelashes b1g1-50% off.  The new Kiss brand with perfect applicator strings are 3.99 a set, so with the sale and $2.00 off 1 set of Kiss lashes printed coupons I was able to get good quality lashes for Halloweeen at $1 a set for my entire family!!!

    • Renep22

I don’t coupon on a regular basis because I have two jobs as it is and my free time is very precious to me but I do understand the concept of the whole process. Yesterday I walked into CVS to buy candy for work. I had $5 ECB and a $5 off 30 purchase that printed from the coupon machine. The candy I needed had coupon attached to the bags and had the $3 ECB deal associated with them. By the end of my purchase I received 2 packages of scott paper towels and toilet paper and two bottles of detergent and four boxes of snack food and a bag of flour and 3 coffee drinks and eight bags of Hersheys candy bars. I paid only $26 for $85 in products.

      • Poheyward

wow that is awesome! what coupons did you use?

    • Jgutierrez

How does the Gatorade deal works B1G1 free? The total has to be 30 to get 10 but is this after discounting the free one or before? Lets said they are $1 (just making this up) so I need to buy 30 Gatorade=$30 but because one is free this will bring the total to $15 do still get the $10 gift card?

      • Ginger

You would have to buy 60 because only 15 would apply to the $30.00 since they are b1g1

    • Carpenter2451

Does anyone know the policy at CVS for B1G1.  Do they split the price or do you have ot buy both?

      • Anonymous

You have to buy both. It will ring them both up at regular price, and then when the cashier hits total it will subtract the lower priced item.

    • Anonymous

Probably everyone knew this but me, but…you can get a cvs gift card for the gift card deal! I’m never as thrilled about the gift card promos, but this makes it better than getting ecb back- especially since they don’t expire in a few weeks! :)

    • Yuliyaporter

      Hi Ladies,
I know  it’s  kind of a long  shot, but I wonder if  anyone  has  any  of Olay $10/2 that are expiring  on the 31st.  I cut  them  out  and  was  waiting  for  the  sale  next  week  for  my  favorite  moisturizer  and  can’t  find  them!  So  frustrating!!!!  Let  me  know  if  you have  any. I just  need  ONE!  E-mail  me  at yuliyaporter@yahoo.com. Thank you so much!  (I have Axe BOGO qs for trade  if  you need  it  or may be  smth else, just let me know!)

So mad, I went to CVS last night and the machine beeped with the CVS B1G1 Free Starburst coupon and it beeped again with the 1 off 2 skittles coupon.  The store would not take either coupon saying it was because the items are on sale.  It was after 6 so I couldn’t call customer service till this morning.  They tell me to go back to the store before Sunday and do it again and call them so they can “educate” them on how to take coupons.  Well that’s all fine and good but I wasted over an hour in the store last night and it is 20 min from me…. I love CVS but am really not a happy shopper right now!

      • ericswifeowensmom

I would probably ask customer service to call and educate them WITHOUT you having to go BACK to the store. I would also ask for ECB be added to your account for your inconvenience. Call Customer service back and ask to speak to a manager and let him know what the customer service reps asked you to do. To me, it sounds like it was handled incorrectly at the store as well as on the phone.

I am loving the M&M candy deal at CVS! I am collecting the $1 Qs spitting out of the red machines daily and pairing with MQs for free Halloween candy!

      • Ginger

Thanks for the tip I did this at lunch because of your tip

    • Mozella

Today I purchased the Dry Idea Advanced Dry Unscented Hypo-Allergenic deoderant upc# 0-17000-99697-4  on clearance for $1.14 and I pd. w/my $1 ecb so I pd. .14 cents and got the $1 ecb back even though it was on clearance! :) I love CVS!

    • MIAMI

for the starburst if it beeps let them put it in two seperate transactions, u still get the ecb

    • Cjssb5

Are there any Gatorade coupons out there?

    • Kgby13

Her math is off above…You need to spend $30 to get a giftcard and not $27.49.

      (2) Scott Mega Rolls Choose a Size Towels, 6 pk., $6(2) Scott Bathroom Bathroom Tissue, 12 pk., $8
      (2) Kleenex Facial Tissue, 110 ct., or Lotion, 78 ct., $1
      (2) -$2 off Scott Extra Soft bath tissue 8 rolls + AND Scott towels 4 rolls + printable
      -$4/$20 Email CVS coupon
-$10 American Express Giftcard = $12 for all of it

Better for me since I am stocked on excendrin from when it is $10 ecb when you buy $20 and still stocked full on Purex when it is free after coupon.

      • Rclay18

Isn’t it $30 BEFORE coupons? If so then the math is right.

      • Rclay18

Her before coupon total is $31.99

    • Jessica Dunn

I did the gift card promotion last night and used Jenny’s deal idea. Was going to get more detergent instead of the Excedrin since neither of us had used it before but decided against that when it was going to come up to more. I had $4.50 in ECB on my CVS account online that I used with it so that made it a little cheaper. I also used the 4 $1.50/1 Mars candy Q. Snickers PB Squared were 4/$10 ($2.50 each) so after sale and the coupons I got 4 BIG bags of candy for $1 each (75% savings). The only thing was I price checked everything at the red machine to make sure it came up the right price as it was Saturday night and they had already taken the tags down off the shelves to make room for the new ones starting today.

Also FYI: Did you know that Excedrin Extra Strength and Excedrin Migraine have the EXACT SAME ingredients in them? (Compared bottles at the store) :D

    • Jessica Dunn

Oh also I have noticed some people commenting that their store didn’t give them a choice in the gift card: Lucky for me, mine does! (CVS in North Augusta) The gift card choices are:

      CVS
      Applebee’s
      Barnes & Noble
      Shell
      AMEX
      Macy’s
GAP/Old Navy/A bunch of other clothing stores on the same GC that I was not familiar with.

We chose the Applebee’s one and if I do the deal today will prob again (instead of the CVS gift card she suggests this week) cause this way we can eat and not feel as bad about it lol. :D
Either that or the Barnes and Noble cause I’m a HUGE bookworm.
