CVS Logo

This week CVS is testing a few promotions out. The ad looks to have a few good deals in it, but will vary based on where you are. Here’s the breakdown of what is happening around the country from my contacts at CVS:

Select locations in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and New Mexico will receive a one-page circular insert in newspapers that features a 20%-off 3-day shopping pass and hot sale offers. The 20% off shopping pass will not be available in-store.

Select locations in Connecticut and New York and a few locations in Massachusetts, Vermont, and Pennsylvania will receive a one-page circular insert in newspapers that features a 20%-off 7-day shopping pass and hot sale offers. The 20% off shopping pass will not be available in-store.

Select locations in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee will receive a one-page circular insert in newspapers that features a 20%-off 3-day shopping pass and hot sale offers. A 4-day circular will be available in-store for Wednesday through Saturday. The 20% off shopping pass will not be available in-store.

Have fun with all of that… seriously I’m already confused and I’ve known all that for over two weeks.

Now on with the deals!

So, just to be sure, if we are in the test market area, then we can’t do any of the deals listed here? And, do you have any idea what the ad that starts Wednesday will have in it?

      • To my knowledge these are the deals that will be in the ad on Wednesday if your area got the two page ad today.  Based on history most if not all of these deals will run for the whole country advertised in your area or not, but we’ll have to wait and see.

    • Jrmartin

Super bummed to be a part of the test market!

    • Smames003

I don’t even understand the test market thingy…guess I might skip CVS this week?

      • Raquel

Me too I am not getting it. My ad has more then 2 pages but I dont see anything good. I plan to skip CVS too

    • Smames003

I’m so confused. I checked on the CVS website to see the ad for my area and it only showed the 2 page ad! There was NOTHING good on it. Do we only get those deals or also the deals listed on here?!!! Jenny, any advice?

      • Based on past CVS tests most of the deals will work across the country.  Just be careful and scan for prices and watch for rewards until we see how things are ringing up.

    • Zebby

Not loving this confusing sale structure.  Since its a test, I hope it doesnt go as they had hoped so they will not continue with it.

    • VP22

I’m in Birmingham and unfortunately we got the 2 page ad. I truly do not understand the purpose of the test market. They should just leave well enough alone.

    • Mlw1ofakind

I already have my 20% of flyer and their are so any exclusions It’s not worth it for me.

    • Mary

I am in SW GA and in my county we are on N FL’s sales cycles and I got the 2 page ad…not looking good for next week at CVS.

    • Sjdepra3

I’m in Florida, and I didn’t see what the add would be like here.  Does anyone no anything?

      • You will have all the deals listed.

    • Melissa

I think I am happy to be living in FL! That doesnt happen too often but I am not in the mood for big CVS changes this week . . .

      • Liz

Yes, for once it is nice to be a FL couponer, although the ad is not that good this week IMO so those who don’t get this week’s deals are not missing out on that much.

I am signed up to do a CVS advisory survey Sunday about the CVS ad vs. the Walgreens ad.  Not happy about the new format…  At least they have people scheduled to give opinions about the change. Hopefully with enough bad reviews this will be a one-time thing!

    • shih tzu owner

I think everyone should skip CVS this week and go to Walgreens to teach them a lesson…As soon as corporate notices that there sales went down for this week , they will go back on there decision to change anything. Let’s stick together and show them the power of SOUTHERNSAVERS. We make a difference.

      • jaybird

I agree with you we should skip CVS this week. This is totally unacceptable. I hope there will be many of us, remember together we stand divided we fall.

      • mrn1

Everyone call corporate.  I called this afternoon and the lady on the phone didn’t even know what I was talking about.  I don’t shop Rite Aid because they have several different ads and the one in my area is never the same as listed online.  I love CVS, but I won’t shop there either if they continue this stuff. Call Corporate and complain.

      • mochamomof5

i agree. i live in SC and have 4 CVS stores within 20 minutes of my house. 3 out of 4 of them have a Walgreens directly across from them (the other one has a Rite Aid across from it). If I’m in the test market, I’ll skip CVS this week. I don’t understand the purpose of the test market…the main resaon people actually do their everyday shopping at drugstores is because of the cheaper prices with coupons/sales. Well…I’m crossing my fingers that I’m not in the test market…

      • mochamomof5

I’m in the Trussville, AL area. Did anyone around here get an add in their B,ham News today? Would it be worth going to buy a paper?

    • sandra

So if you are in the test market, you DONT get these deals???  Just wondering, confused!!!!

    • Amy Scott-Lundy

This is horrible. I guess at least I get free jelly beans. I didn’t have the softsoap coupon or I would get that just to roll ECBs. I really hate those 20% off coupons because there are so many exclusions I can never use them. I really miss the $4 off of $20 or $5 off of $25 that they used to have… :(.

      • Momof2

        me too i dont like % off is useless i like 4off 20 or 5off 30

      • ireneY

You can still use the 20% Q on items that offer ECB back if they are not marked down. For instance, any of the CVS products in the month-long offer or Cover Girl this week. You can still save with some creativity!

    • ahlers0514

I live in SC, but my area is not part of the test market group.  I will have the regular ad, but I don’t see a lot of the items from the ad on this list.  Is there a reason for that? For example, on page 2 of the ad, there is a picture of a TON of P&G products and it says at the top “Buy 3 Get 1 FREE Sale”. Doesn’t this have the potential to be a really good deal considering there are P&G cpns in the paper this Sunday? I am sooo confused!!

      • Laura

I’m not a P&G Fan but I too have the same ad, could make for some good deals?!

        • Veganpadua

me either – their animal testing is particularly egregious :(

      • For most products we really want to see a savings of at least 40% off the regular price.  While the coupons coming the paper could help the savings, a Buy 3 Get 1 Sale is really only a discount of 25% at most, and considering that regular drugstore prices on items are sky high this will probably not equal the discount that you would find in other stores.  That was my logic in leaving them all out anyway, but when I head to the store on Sunday I’ll grab prices and see if anything is surprising and update the list.
Hope that helps explain it being left out.  The goal really is to wait and get the best price :)

        • ahlers0514

That makes total sense!  Thank you Jenny!  I did look at some of the current online prices for these products and I agree…unless they give them some kind of discount price for the sale…I can get them else where for much, much cheaper.  That is why I love this site, you actually go out and shop the sales yourself!  Keep up the good work!!

        • The only decent deal I could come up with was for the Pantene products: buy 3 @ 4.99 get 1 free = 14.97 use 2 of the $3 off 2 coupons = 8.97    Not too bad of a deal if you like the Pantene products! Savings of approx 55%

    • Cecilia

My soft soap coupon is for $1.50 of 2+ bar soap. This would make for a money maker.

      • mommyof1

have you used the bar soap before?  i am into bar soaps now for some reason but i havent tried the softsoap brand yet and was curious to try this deal.

        • Dtcox1

           i love it

        • Brencoup

barsoaps last way longer and are better in my opinion just saying

        • couponinggirl

I have noticed that bar soaps create more soap “scum” in my shower than the body wash.

      • i saw that too-as much as i love the body wash, i’m getting the bars to make $$!

      • Hilary

why? if the price is 3.50 each get back 5

      • Calhoun220

While searching coupons on eBay, I also found in some SS inserts (1/29) there is a $5 rebate on Colgate products when you buy $10. Pair this deal with the Colgate toothpaste deal at Wags (3/4-3/10) makes this a better money maker.

    • sjgsjg

Will the $1 off Revlon Color Cosmetic work on the colorstay nail deal?

      • mommyof1

i would assume so. I believe i have used one similar before on polish with no problem.  it couldnt hurt.. and I LOVE the nail polish deals.. haha, like i need anymore!

        • Dtcox1

me too have over 50 now but i love nail polish ;;;;; but i do give a way

      • Jessica

I’ve been able to use a color cosmetic coupon on nail polish before and I’ve also had it denied on nail polish. The computer wouldn’t accept it the last time I tried and the cashier wouldn’t put it through even though I told her I’ve used them for nail polish before. Go for it! Hope it works for you. :)

    • Luci

So if you see that you have a really short circular in your market like mine, is this area part of the test? Our two page flyer seems really disappointing because I need some of the items listed on sale in the longer circular as you’ve posted above and none of them are listed in our abbreviated circular.

    • Bkny63

Jenny, If we are in the test market, will we get the full ad on March 7th?

      • Whatistestmarket

What do you mean by “test market”?

    • Guest

L’Oreal has a $10.00 rebate wyb $30.00 of Revitalift or You Code products on their web site

    • amanda

question… if cvs has promo that u get $5 ECB for $15 cvs baby product purchase and also has $ 2 ECB when u buy cvs brand diapers or training pants…. so if i buy my son two packs of cvs training pants($6.99 x 2) and add a pack of cvs wipes to bring it too $15.  I’ll use the 20% off cvs coupon, then do I get back both the $5 ECB and the $2 ECB?

      • Christina

It can work IF the items are not on sale. the 20% off coupon is for regular price items only.

        • Christina

amanda, im sorry. I read your question wrong. you will still get the $5 and the $2 ECB..as long as you get the total to $15 for the bbaby products before coupons and discounts…are the diapers/training pants part of the CVS baby product purchase? you may want to check that..i don’t know if CVS would “double dip” on their promos..just check the ad.  And to claify on the CVS 20% coupon. if the wipes are the only ones that are regular price, CVS will take the 20% coupon but it will only be calculated for the wipes, not the diapers, but if everything is regular price then the 20% will be taken off the whole purchase. Hope this makes sense!

          • Srhine85

I was wondering the same thing about the diapers also qualifying for the 5 ECB for $15 CVS baby purchase. Has anyone done something like this before and it worked?

            • Mel

No,you can’t double dip, The diapers won’t be part of the spend 15.00 purchase.

    • Freedomspradley1

CVS is doing the flats of bottled water (24ct) for $2.44 starting Sunday.

    • I’m so jealous of this ad… I’m in their test market area, and it really, really stinks! Can’t say about the supposed “mid-week” ad but the Sunday ad is pointless.

    • Pndbear2003

Aren’t the Venus razors part of the PG beauty rebate as well?

    • lee

If anyone likes Physicians Formula cosmetics or just wants to try them, there are rebates for 4 of their products on the Physicians website.  CVS carries most of their products.  The rebate is for the full amount of the item.  Just make sure the items have the ‘try me free’ sticker attached to them.  So far I tried the foundation and it’s good.

    • Couponjulie201

Hunh… Interesting about the new format. I got an email this week from the CVS Advisor Panel and qualified to do a survey on the ad tomorrow. I’ll get $10 ECB for it… I was wondering what the big secret fuss was. I haven’t been invited to do a panel survey in forever!

    • guest

Really, as much as I love CVS, I don’t blame them for changing things. There is rampant abuse of their ECB system with all the people who have several cards.

      • Christie

        Agreed.

      • lil A’s mom

         u r right

    • Iesha200507

La Roche Posay is on sale the effaclar line for 19.99 use the $10/1 mfc found in the paper a few weeks ago. These products are great and very expensive that brings it to 9.99 can’t beat that. Also the physician formula cosmetics are offering $7 ecb for $10 spent plus there is a $2/1 mfc peele or $1/1 mfc fro paper. I got liner for 11.49-$2mfc-$7ecb=total $2.49

      • cvslady

I don’t see that coupon in the database.  Which insert did you find it in?

    • Jamesbntn

if they bring their test to georgia i will go back to walmart

    • Sarahh569

i am not understanding the changes that cvs is making, i called my local cvs in georgia and the manager told me no changes have happened. so not sure whats going on?

    • Ririwoody

Help! I am new to couponing and i had a rain check on the speedstick (they was on sale for 1.99 a couple of weeks ago) and when they finally had them in stock they reduced my coupon (buy one get one free, value 3.99) to 1.99. Is that correct???? I have no policy. where can i find it. Thanks for the help

      • Jessica

This is correct. Sometimes the cashiers were letting them ring up for the automatic 3.99 but because the product was being sold for only 1.99, that is all the credit you should have technically received. The 1.99 is all that CVS will be reimbursed by the manufacturer. Hope this helps!

      • Cyndi

What they did is correct. You got two deodorants at the sale price of $1.99 so your coupon gave you $1.99 off for one. Sometimes you will get lucky and get a cashier who will push the coupon through for the non sale price. But your coupon value is *up to* $3.99.

    • Fallaya

I’m in a test market area, so I’ll be skipping CVS this week.

    • Guest

I’m in the test market as well. I’m skipping CVS this week too.

    • tiredofyourcrying

OK, seriously people, You are getting on my nerves!!!  You complained to CVS that everything is on sale so your % off coupons where worthless.  SO, what does CVS do….  They give everyone who buys a paper a 20% coupon AND lower the items that are on sale so that your coupon applies to a lot more sale items.  Are you thankful??  NO, you’re just as unhappy as always!!!  I hope you do skip CVS this week, maybe I can be there in peace now that all you complainers will NOT be there!

      • Sam

I’m upset because there are NO extra buck deals.  Not to mention a one page ad.  You may not roll your extra bucks, but I do.

      • Brenda S.

I think the problem is that the 20% coupon can only be used on regular priced items and the ecb deals are not there either.

      • 302799

Your comment got on my nerves.  Are you serious?  This isn’t YOUR blog, so if Jenny doesn’t complain who are you?

      • Mom77

The 20% off coupon clearly says regularly priced items only.

        • Mom77

Only 1 ECB deal also. The 1 page ad basically has nothing to make a deal with. That is the problem. This ad makes shopping at Walmart a much better choice.

      • Smith_am87

Too bad in my area it doesn’t matter if you buy a paper or not, there are ZERO ads included in my paper (Montgomery Advertiser), which means NO 20% off coupon. So I bought a paper just  for the coupons (that btw, were few and far between) and then get to CVS hoping to get some deals but NOPE! And the cashier told me that the one page ad was all that this area will get from now until this test thing is over. I sure hope it ends soon, because there were NO additional deals in store.

      • Monzellia

it wasn’t useless to me.  I was able to buy one of the TrueNorth Snacks that DIDN’T have the try me free on it, use my 20% and my $1 off coupon from when they sent my try me free rebate check AND a $1 off coupon.  Sometimes I use my 20% sometimes I don’t.  Either way I’m glad CVS GIVES them OUT.

    • pizzinik

Most of these deals don’t start until Wednesday at my CVS.  That was confusing to me.  I can’t tell from this list which deals are Sunday through Tuesday and which are Wednesday through Saturday.  Is it going to be this way every week now?  It seems pointless ot shop on Sunday anymore.

    • ireneY

Short ad in ATL. Jenny, do you know if the test areas will see these deals you listed after Wed.? I detect a slight change in attitude towards couponers at my store, so change is definitely coming.

      • Stephanie

What’s the deal?  This ad doesn’t apply until Wednesday in Atlanta???  If so, I’m really unhappy because the ECB I have expire on 3/6/12….  I’m confused….

        • ireneY

Yes, it’s confusing to me, too. If you buy today’s paper, there’s a 20% Q in the CVS flyer. Maybe you could use it to roll your expiring ECB on the monthly deals or Cover Girl?

          • Stephanie

I get the paper delivered and did get the coupon with the one page ad.  But I think the coupon is only good on regularly priced items, and not on sale items.  I realized I have some rainchecks for the Spend 30, get 10 Pampers deal from a few weeks ago.  I guess I’ll just do that so the $19 I have in ECB’s don’t go to waste.  Boo.  Really not liking this.  The other thing is that I do need a few things from the ad that starts mid-week, but I work full time and can never get to the store except on Sunday (my only day off).  Oh well.  What can you do?

        • Monzellia

I just told my sister about some try me free items at CVS so she can use her ECB that are expiring:

TrueNorth Snack (must see the try me free on the package), Arm and Hammer Oxy packs (same thing look for the try me free on the package).  Don’t buy more than one on one receipt because you’ll need an original receipt for each item.

    • 302799

Just left my local CVS in Metro Atlanta.  The only deals are the one-page advert.   The rest of the deals don’t start till WEDNESDAY.

???????????  I usually view the upcoming deals online and it says they start today.  Me No Like!

      • mrn1

The deals that start on Wednesday aren’t great either.  It is just four pages total.  I sure hope this isn’t a permanent change.  I want the regular multiple page ad.

      • Monzellia

I know the same thing happened to me.  No Soft Soap Deal or Candy Deal marked today at CVS.  I guess they say take these free cookie and go.

    • 302799

The more I think about it … CVS receives a truck each week.  In my area it’s on Tuesday (when they restock).  To probably cut down on the abuse, rainchecks and clearing the shelves, this is their solution (for now).  Heading over to their “twitter” to see what’s going on.

    • Crownstar

Be on the lookout for these clearance items. Poise panty liners 16 count on clearances.,$1.24; we have $1 coupons, making them 24 cents. Always Leak Guard pads 39 count on clearance for $1.86;used $1 P&G mailer, makes 86 cents. CVS sensitive cleansing wipes .97? cents (no coupons). Redbox gave me a free Oreo cookie coupon 6.0z ($1.50). and Dentenye gum on sale 2/$2 and we got $1.00 per pack coupons!

    • Stephanie Theo

I don’t see the coupon for soft soap from ss 2/12 and its not showing up in the Sunday add inserts on this site either. :-(

      • BranMuff29

I didn’t see the coupons in SS 02/12 either. The only coupons I saw for softsoap expired 02/16

    • Stephanie Theo

I don’t see the coupon for soft soap from ss 2/12 and its not showing up in the Sunday add inserts on this site either. :-(

    • Ashley

The CRT machine was printing a coupon for free Oreos, the travel box one.

      • shamn75

Up to $1.50-the Oreos in my store were $2.50, so much for free!

        • Monzellia

mine rang up 2/$3 so I did get it free

          • Gofxj4

            So did mine!

          • Crownstar

They are on sale this week. 2/$3.

        • Mcleodsc

it is for the small box of oreos

          • shamn75

These were the small box, only like 5 oz.  The price sticker said $2.49…maybe I’ll have to go back and see what the register rings it up as :)

            • Ashley

The one in my store said it was $1.99, thought I was going to pay the difference, but it rang up $1.50. I couldn’t remember the ounce size when I typed it up, sorry. Husband took it to work with him :)

    • Christie

There is $1.50 Coupons on Ebay for soft Sop 2pk or larger

    • Lewisphoto2000

      There is a $5 Q for Abreva at abreva.tv.  I printed 2 last night.

    • Dtcox1

in v a its one big add like always today through sat  sales . but its so so for me this week have fun shopping this week

    • Jen153

      *Asking for a friend*
I know that CVS accepts EBT/SNAP/Food Stamps or whatever they are called these days benefits but if you pay for a food item producing an EB with a food stamp card will the EB still print? I didn’t think that it would as it would be like getting cash back but I wanted to ask for her here just in case I was wrong and other people have done it. Thank you!

      • Christie

        yes

      • 1Mom2two

Yes they will print but beware if you buy food items and non food items and have coupons for both, you will pay full price for all food items and the coupon amounts will come off the non food items. Example, buy 2 candy bars for 3$ with a 1$ coupon and buy 2 dog food for 3$ with a 1$ coupon, when you run your foodstamp card it will take off the full 3$ for the candy bar and both 1$ coupons will come off the dog food making it one dollar instead of 3, hope this makes sense.

    • Katrina_stewart68

Where is the link to create your shopping list? It seems to be missing on my page.

    • Theresa

Me too, no link to print here or in the Kroger list, what happened?

    • Mom77

So the 1 page ad that I got in the paper is it? Is there a longer ad available in the store? Is there a list for the short ad?

      • VP22

The 1 page ad you (and I) got is it. I have been hearing that we will get another ad on Wed so I guess I will just wait and see.

        • Mom77

I just sent CVS an email to complain. I might as well go back to Walmart……

        • mrn1

I have a copy of the ad that starts Wednesday.  It is only 4 pages total and is not impressive.

          • VP22

Darn. Was hopin we would at least get some of the sales that everyone else got. I really do not see the point in this whole “test market”. What are the trying to test, how quickly they lose customers?

          • Susan

does it include the softsoap deal?

        • Mom77

We didn’t get another ad. CVS emailed me back and said that regular ads would continue next week. We’ll see…

    • Frostieneen

There is not a place to click on and print your list?

      • Products81

at the bottom of list, under the blue button in the gray shadded area, there is a button says -create list, have all the items you want on your list by clicking on the box next to each item, then when you check all items you want on list, scroll down and click on the button create list. HTH

I just bought the Olay cleansing cloths (3.99 on sale) and used the free Olay body wash coupon (3/4/12 pg) from todays insert. Another site suggested buying (2) Olay cleansing cloths =  8.98 and using the $3/2 cpn and then using the Free Olay bodywash cpn….but I thought that foregoing the $3 cpn was a better deal.  Buy 1 Olay cloths (3.99), get 1 Olay bodywash free (7.99).

      • di

Forgot to add. I did this deal a couple of times…and received the $2 ecb when I bought the 2nd Olay bodywash.

        • di

I’m also submitting for the $15 wyb $50 rebate.  Total oop after all = $3 + tax.  Yah!

          • BranMuff29

So…i could buy 3 facial cloths and get 3 free olay body washes…and all of it count toward the $15 rebate?

            • di

Yes. The bodywash will print the bodywash price on the CVS receipt and then just print ‘coupon -6.99’ when it takes the bodywash off.

            • BranMuff29

Thanks for the info!! :) I’m excited about going to CVS tmw…I figured on spending $19 oop for my list of items, getting back $7 ECB and sending off for my $15 rebate…that’s $3 ahead. I hope everything works the way I figured it…lol

            • BranMuff29

Thanks for the info!! :) I’m excited about going to CVS tmw…I figured on spending $19 oop for my list of items, getting back $7 ECB and sending off for my $15 rebate…that’s $3 ahead. I hope everything works the way I figured it…lol

      • Bella Blitzkrieg

I used them all!!  I used $3/2 wipes, used 2 free Wash coupons—and got $2 EC bucks back for the wash!  Net purchase: $2.70

        • Freedomspradley1

          Me too!

          • Susan

What did you use exactly?  Was it this:  Buy 2 cleansing cloths for $3.99 each, 2 bodywashes minus one $3/2 for the cloths, minus both bodywashes?

            • Freedomspradley1

Yes.  The -$3/2 coupon came off the two facial cleansing cloths ($3.99×2) and then the two B1G1 coupons took off the $6.99 value (x2) attaching to the body washes only.

        • di

For some reason, reading the wording on the Free bodywash coupon, I thought that I could only use 1 of these per purchase…and with that logic…that I had to either use the $3/2 coupon on 2 wipes and only get 1 free bodywash…or buy each wipe separately and get 1 free bodywash.  Don’t know what I was thinking.  But on another website, people were posting that they also used the 2 off bodywash and don’t know how that was working. Seems like it would be 2 mfg on the same item.

          • Mel

Your correct, she did not use the q’s the way she was suppost to. The 3 of 2 covers both items.

      Will CVS take expired ECB?

      • Carol71

The CVS where I shop will accept expired ECBs. My ECB was 4 months old

      • Linda

I’m in Merritt Island, FL and my CVS just changed their policy and will accept them only one month after the expiration date now.

      • di

My CVS in Lake Wylie, SC will not accept expired ECB’s.

I’m in the Atl area, does anyone know if CVS brand formula is included in the $5 ECB on CVS band baby products when you spend $15?

      • Mcleodsc

I bought an Essence of Beauty (a CVS brand) item just to see if they were included-NOT. Apparently it is only items that actually say “CVS ” on them.

      • Justalaina

I was wondering the same thing.  I have a Raincheck for Buy 1 Get the 2nd Half off.  I dont even see this in the flyer online. It states CVS brand bath & beauty.  Did you go to the store yet?  This would be a great deal if included and can stock up.

        • hc

From what I’ve seen on other sites, the only items included are wipes, powder, cotton tips, and infant pain relief, no formula :(. I missed it last time it was B1G1 half off, I was debating going and using the 20% coupon or wait until it goes  on sale again.

    • Products81

Redbox is printing out a coupon for a free oreo 5.5oz pack for Free.

      • Mcleodsc

        got mine earlier today

    • Lsmith3377

Okay, I’ve got a question…  how did you get a complete list of the sales for this week if all locations are only having a 1 page ad?  And are the sale prices/products different for each store?  I was wanting to get the Boost (supposedly b1g1 50% off) and the Blue Diamond almonds (supposedly 2/$5) and you have listed that they are both in the gift card deal, but at my CVS (Warrior, AL) they do not ring up the sale price and how do I know for sure they are in the gift card deal if I do not have an ad?  This is very frustrating.:(

      • Lsmith3377

Oh, and the Softsoap (bar soap and body wash) are both ringing up regular price not 2/$7 and how do I know if the $5 ecb will print if I do not have an ad??  Can we complain to corporate about this new way of doing things?  Will it make a difference if we do?

        • Mom77

I’ve already sent an email. I won’t be going to CVS this week. If it continues I’ll take my business and my prescriptions elsewhere. When their sales take a dip they’ll change their minds.

        • tina

plenty of people have already complained on their facebook page so if you all want to go on there also it might help.  here’s to hopeing!

      • Mom77

The CVS in my part of Alabama and a few other states only has a 1 page ad. The list above is the ad that other states got – not us :-(. Rumor is that we will get the above ad on Wednesday.

        • Mom77

Did you have a copy of the 1 page ad? If you didn’t you can go to the CVS website to look at it. Hope this helps.

      • guest

The stores have copies of the ad that is running in that market. Look at the ad before shopping instead of a list provided by a third party.

    • Susie

If you are in the test market, kiss the Softsoap goodbye.  Some areas will get a second ad on Wednesday and some will not.  My ad runs thru the 10th so I guess I won’t.  So CVS, you are pitiful.

      • reg1

Is that what you thought the last time you got free stuff at CVS?

        • Mel

LOL, I know it’s always the worst place when they change something that they don’t like. But the best place, with all the freebies and goods deals.

          • tina

that is just it we aren’t getting freebies or good deals this week……it is very frustrating. please understand that is why we are so up in arms.

      • Mel

People give it a break,it’s not that serious. Clearly there is a good and valid reason why there doing it.

    • Bill

Red Machine printed out 4.00 off 20.00 plus free Oreos

    • Bill

Red Machine printed out 4.00 off 20.00 plus free Oreos

    • Diana

I tried to print the rebate for the 46.50 wyb 50.0. of products and it was it’s out. does anyone have an extra?

    • Debrajarrells

My part of Alabama did not do the 99C ECB on the jelly beans. did not do the 5.00 ECB on the soft soap   very disappointed this week

      • Mom77

I think most of Alabama just got a 1 page ad. I’ve already sent CVS an email and I won’t be going back until they go back to their original sales. If this continues I’m going to transfer all of our prescriptions too because I’ll have no reason to go there.

        • guest

          Wow, somebody is spoiled!

          • Calhoun220

I gather you do not live in the test area. Our ad had NOTHING worth buying there since you can get everything cheaper at Walmart. LIke the posters before said, there is no point in going to CVS since with these kinds of ads, you can get it cheaper some where else.

          • Jan

            We sure are!

        • Ashley

I don’t blame you. How can they keep a customer base without sales?

      • Jan

$3 ECB WYB any Revlon Nail $4.79 LIMIT 6
        (makes it $1.79)
Did not work in Auburn AL! :(

      • Melissa

I am going to call corporate about this week’s “test market” ads….they are horrible!

    • beths44

ok maybe i’m going crazy-did anyone see the 1/2 gallon of trumoo chocolate milk on sale for 2.19 anywhere? I thought it was CVS, but i guess i was wrong. hmmmm…

      • guest

        it should be 2.19

    • Guest

      one less store this week

    • Dee

The gallon of milk is actually a very good deal. the TG Lee website has a $1.00 off coupon. Add that with the $1.00ECB and a gallon of Milk is $1.49

    • DedraS

I was very diappointed at CVS today. We had the one page add with 20% off. So when I got there with my printed list, nothing worked. I did use my coupons on a few things, but I only got $1.87 off with the 20% off pass. Fortunately the store manager asked my opinion. I told her I didn’t like it at all. She said it was just a trial and next week will have a regular sales flyer.

      • Smterry

I agree- I may be returning the few items I thought would receive ECBs.  I think a new circular comes out Wed and I may go back to the store to see if the deals listed above are active then.

    • Willie

The 2/12 SS from the Virginian-Pilot in the Virginia Beach area did not have the Soft Soap coupon.  Does anyone know if it showed up in a different week?

      • azd18

i just cut one from ss 1/29 for $1/1, it expired on 2/18 but my cvs will take a coupon up to 1 month after it expires. hope that helps!

    • Luci

Like the full ad better than a guess and see approach. In my area, CVS is too far to drive just to check if the same deals aren’t advertised in the short flyer.

    • Sandra

I got a $3 coupon from the red machine last week for Zantac. Pair that with the $5 manufacturer coupon online and the ecb and it’s a money maker.

    • Katharina

Question: I have a B1G1 coupon for the Taster’s Choice. Can I pair that up with the .65/1 and get two packs for a total of .35?

    • Jklyles1

Next week Cokes will be on sale 5/$15 with $5 ECB..im excited but it says limit 1. I know last time CVS had 12 pk drinks on sale people were getting way more than the limit.  So will this mean i can only get 5 12pks?

      • Sharon

You can buy as many coke products as you want but the ECB will only be given to you once.

    • Lacey530

how long can you use expired ecb’s?

      • Savn2gether

It probably depends on your store and the manager there. I called the day mine were going to expire to see if I could use them later, and they strongly encouraged me to come on in that day before they expired (which I did). It sounded like they might work with me though, but I didn’t want to take any chances. It probably varies depending on the manager you are working with! Hope that helps!

      • Tonya

I go to two CVS’s that are 5 miles apart and one will let me use them in the same week that they expire and one won’t let me use them at all.  guess which one I go to????  :)

    • johnstka

I received a $3Q off CVS Supreme Diapers at CRT this morning – pair with sale and it is $1.99 after 2ecb

    • Christie

I have been noticing that my Green Bag Tag is Working several times a day, 8)

      • Susan

I thought I noticed that one day last week, too..but then I thought I must be losing my mind!

        • Christie

It’s been happening for a couple weeks… I noticed it with the Shaving cream deal when I did several transactions

      • tori729

In the same store? I know they have always worked if you use them in the same day in another store.

    • Dixiegirl331

So, those of us that are in the “test market”…on Wednesday of this week, will we be able to get the regular weekly ad items, like the Softsoap and Olay deals?

      • Couponrookie0626

I went Sunday to get the deals and my CVS told me they were doing the test market as well and that I could come back in on Wednesday. What is “test market” anyway?

        • VP22

They are “testing” to see how fast they lose customers;-}. Just kidding but seriously I have no idea and would like to know the same thing.

      • Melissa

I am in NE GA and my couple of CVS stores here are apparently doing the “test market” :( They let me look at the new ad for Wednesday , and it is only 4 pages long, several things missing from the list above.  I am guessing we all who are affected need to call corporate and let them know what we think about it.

    • Janet

Where is the CVS weekly ad these last few weeks?  It has not been in the Post & Courier in Charleston so I’m just not shopping at CVS.  I know you can view the ad online but I’d rather have an ad in hand and I’m not going to drive to the CVS to get an add to see if I’d be making a purchase that week.  I contacted CVS through an email on their website but have not received an explanation of why their ads have disappeared from the Sunday paper.  Does anyone else have any knowledge of why this has happened?

      • Lacey530

I live in Summerville and have been receiving it in the Post and Courier.

      • Angela_Thompokins09

i havent even got a ad for cvs in my paper this past sunday

      • Homeisthebeachnow

I live in Charleston & I’ve received my CVS sale flyer each Sunday. I would call the Post & Courier. I don’t believe CVS would know why its not in your paper :(

    • Stepho23o

I just went to my local CVS, in Grayson GA, and NONE of the things that you had listed for ECB worked :( Was this ad for a certian location? I’m just wondering if I need to take my receipt back in or if this wasn’t valid for my area.

      • NMCouponer

Uggh, same thing here in NM.  I tried to buy 2 of the softsoap body wash and rang up reg price and no ECB.  The cashier then said it was the CVS brand only….so we voided and tried that, still no ECB’s.  She felt bad and gave me the $5 ECB’s anyway.  Now I feel bad because it looks like the ad here is a one page deal and not all the deals listed….guess this is what the “test market” is doing to us.  Perhaps after Wednesday the other deals will kick in, but going to take this week off….too hard to follow.

      • VP22

If the ad you got in your Sunday paper or in your store was only one page then unfortunately you are also in a test market and those deals do not apply. There is supposed to be another ad on Wed so I guess we will just have to wait and see.

    • Laura

Quick question….I noticed in the 3/12 P&G insert that there is a coupon for BUY one Olay facial cleanser, GET one Olay body wash free up to $8.99. There is another coupon in the same insert that is $2.00 off ONE Olay bar, body wash, or in-shower lotion…can these be used together on the $2 ECB wyb Olay Body Wash?

      • BamaGirl43

I don’t think so.  The Buy one cleanser, get one body wash free coupon will attach to the body wash.  You could use a coupon on the facial cleanser though!

        • Laura

But the 2nd coupon is for the “free” body wash. Per their coupon policy that I just looked at, you can use a coupon for the “free” item. I’m just gonna ask the manager before hand to see what he/she says….hmmmmm…would be a GREAT deal if it works!!! :)

          • BamaGirl43

The coupon policy if referring to a “free” product offered by the store.  The “buy one facial cleanser, get one body wash free” coupon is a man. q and it does attach to the body wash.  You can use another man. q if it is for the facial cleanser.  1 man. coupon per product.

            • Laura

              Oh okay…Thanks!

            • BamaGirl43

Think of it this way.  When using manufactured coupons that say “buy something get something free”,  you can only use another manufacturer coupon for the thing you have to buy.  I hope this helps.

            • Laura

My CVS took the additional $2,00 coupon! Yay!

          • Crownstar

You can do this… buy 2 Olay Facial Cleaners $3.79 each and 2 Olay Body Washes $6.99 each. use the – $3/2 Olay Facial (2/12 RP) and the
2 FREE Olay Body Wash WYB Olay Facial (3/4 P&G),  Total: $4.58, (Ended up paying $2.58 for all 4 items!) if you have 2 sets of coupons do it 2x;you’ll only get 1 $ 2ECB, but great deal still!

          • jldouthit

Free by promotion, NOT free by coupon.

“CVS/pharmacy accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable CVS/pharmacy coupon(s) per item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.”
(copied and pasted fro the CVS policy)

    • Kari

The red machine printed me a $3 off Revlon cosmetics coupon. I paired it with a $1 off Revlon man. coupon and got eye shadow that was $5.19 and got $4 ecb back. Made it a  $1.81 MM

    • rhh

Went to the Richmond Hill, GA location at lunch time and the Revitalens did not have the ECB.  Oh well, I did get the batteries BOGO!!

    • MomOf4

Got a $3 Revlon CVS Q, used it on 2 nail polishes…with the ECB deal ended up paying only 60 cents for both!

      • Mcleodsc

I am going to scan my card today-hope I get the Revlon coupon

    • Rntobe10

Scanned my card at the red box and got a 4$ off any 20$ purchase….. i do not ever get these emailed so I am sooo excited>>>> oh how I love CVS!!!!!

    • Crownstar

For all that asked about the Olay deal…You can do this… buy 2 Olay Facial Cleaners $3.79 each and 2 Olay Body Washes $6.99 each. use the – $3/2 Olay Facial (2/12 RP) and the 2 FREE Olay Body Wash WYB Olay Facial (3/4 P&G), Total: $4.58, (Ended up paying $2.58 for all 4 items!) if you have 2 sets of coupons do it 2x;you’ll only get 1 $ 2ECB, but great deal still!  The $3/2 attaches to the cleanser not the body wash.

      • Maria

Don’t forget, too, that there is a $2 off 1 Q in the P&G 3/04 for the Olay Body Wash.  It’ll make the whole deal with ECBs a $1.42 MM.

        =)

        • Laura

My CVS took the additional $2.00 off coupon for the bodywash!!! Yay!!

          • jldouthit

they shouldn’t have,  you cannot use 2 MQ’s on 1 product.  That’s coupon fraud

            • Laura

I didn’t make the cashier do it. I asked her to scan it to see if it would work and it did…that is all.

            • lulu

Just because it goes through, doesn’t mean it’s right.

            • Ali

NO it is not fraud.  That is NOT a word you should call someone if you do not know what you are talking about!  The BOGO attaches to the free product and the $/1 attaches to the one you are BUYING ” Buy 1 Get 1″  Not hard to figure out.  Watch your verbage.

            • Stephanie

If you go back and read her original post, she mentioned using a $2/1 also on the body wash.  The BOGO is also for the body wash.  You can’t do that.

            • jldouthit

I’m sorry you dont understand, but the 2nd coupon she was using is for the body wash, the product the bogo attached to.  That is prohibited by the fine print on the coupon and the store policy.  If she used a couopn for face wash that would be perfectly fine.(I do know what I’m talking about, thank you.)

        • di

Wouldn’t that be using 2 mfg cpn on the body wash?  The FREE cpn and then the $2?

        • jldouthit

          Dont forget, that’s coupon fraud.

          • Ali

Don’t accuse people of fraud when you have no idea what it means.

      • Mcleodsc

cleanser is 3.99 at my store

      • di

Right-Aid also has Olay products off B1G1 50% .When I looked at the FREE BODY WASH coupon it actually have a picture of the Olay soap. I went and bought the Olay 2pk soap (3.99) on sale and 1 body wash. It took 2.00 off the soap, so I got the soap and bodywash for $2 + tax.

      • Wethedeans

I did this tonight, thanks for the heads up! A deal!

      • Kenren801

Thank You!!  Did the deal today!!!…..also, don’t forget the rebate form….I have $21.86 towards the $50!!!  :)

      • Amanda

Thank you for posting this deal. Today I got 2 boxes of olay facial cleansing pads, 2 olay body washes and a revlon nail polish and I only paid 1.31 which was tax:))) and I got $5ecb (I had a $4/20 and $3 ecb that helped my total)

    • Redheadedstepchild75

Just FYI, when I scanned my card at the RedBox I got a $3.00 off any Revlon cosmetic coupon. It waws a nice suprise!!

      • Crownstar

Me too…just came back from  CVS and I got from $ 3 off a Revlon cosmetic product; $2 off any Revlon Beauty tool, $2 off any Hersey Bliss Candy, another! .25 cent 2 snickers egg and photo processing. I bought the Revlon,  nail polish for 4.79, paid 1.79 and got back $3.00 ECB.  Gotta love CVS!

    • Shelly

Next weeks ad – I can’t seem to start a new conversation in the Community; but wanted to pass this on while coupons were still printing.  Next weeks ad has Pedia Care liquid 4 oz or infant drops 2 oz for $5.99 with a $5 ECB.  There is a $1 off any Pedia Care item printing from their website.. pediacaredotcom.  Just enter your name and email address.

    • Melissa

I just wanted to encourage all of you fellow coupon-ers to call CVS corporate about their new “test market” ads they are trying out.  I have had first hand experience with them this week, and the 3 – day ad plus the Wednesday ad that will come out equal only about 1/3 of what the regular ad listed above contains.  Really crappy :(   Plus it is a huge pain to have to wait till Wednesday to get your shopping done, for me anyway.

      • mrn1

And the 4 day ad starting Wednesday is pathetic!  so much for the Olay deal everyone is talking about.

        • Dixiegirl331

yeah….I am missing out on the Olay deal too. I hope the q’s don;t expire before another Loay deal comes along. I needed them for my P&G rebate too. I just don;t think it’s right to only “test” certain areas and give others access to deal that we can’t get too. If they are gonna test, then make it equal for all and test all .

          • Dixiegirl331

            *Olay

          • Gigi

Seriously?  Seriously?  This has to be a joke.

    • Randa

Even though my CVS store is part of the one ad test market, there were tags up on the gift card and other deals at my store today.  The tags we were even dated 3/4-3/10.  Almost like the test market plan is to see if we will show up and look for these deals. (?)  Anyway, thought some of you might want to see if your test-market store has any of these sales tags posted as well.

    • JP

Hey guys.  I am a manager at a CVS in one of the test stores that is running the ad with the shopping pass that goes all week.  Just a couple of things I thought might be helpful to clarify based on some comments.  This is indeed a “test”…at this point, it is only for this week.  Next week, everyone should resume getting the ads they are used to.  Second, although there are few EB deals in the 2-pager, keep in mind that there are month-long extrabuck deals and pricecut deals in the store which are still on!  And some of them are great!  Like Sparkle and Angel Soft 2/$10 with $2 Extrabucks on top of that…and $5 EB back on every $15 you spend in store brand products on most categories in the HBA aisles with NO LIMIT.  So, yeah. I get that you’re upset because there aren’t a lot of sales in the paper…but the deals are still there.  And 20% off anything you choose isn’t a bad thing especially if you use it along with your EB.  I’ve heard a LOT of complaints in my store, though, too.  But just keep supporting your CVS and they’ll listen – promise!

      • C_hakes

The coupon states it cannot be used on sale items, milk, promo offerings, etc.  So I do not see how this is a benefit to any of us.  Not sure what CVS was thinking, but I once again will skip shopping at CVS for yet another week. :(

    • Renee

I actually went to get Lysol the other day at Dollar General (everyone in my whole house has been so sick) and it was over $4 a can. Am I crazy or is the $2.50 not a good deal? Should I get the $30 worth to get the gift card or will a better price come along?

    • LF

with the 20% Q in the ad test ad this week can I use a $3 off $15 with it.

    • Zstankard

      Free Puffs Tissue……..

The Puffs with Vicks is on sale for 99 cent. Buy 3, use the $2 off vicks product, and BOGO vicks product (they have the Puffs Vicks pictured on the coupon) from P&G from this past sunday and get all 3 for free. My CVS was out of the Puffs with Vicks, so I price matched at Walmart ;)

      • Wethedeans

I did this tonight, but didn’t have the $2.00 off Vicks coupon. I did use the B1G1 coupon, 2 of them, and one 25 cent coupon for a total of 1.75 for 4 boxes. Thanks for the heads up!

      • Pat

I think it feels like spring break for me here in Marietta, Ga.Will not be going to CVS this week. Time to take a CVS vacation. Soap soft coupons and cannot use.Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • Pat

Where did you get the $2.off Q? My P&G has $2 off on Sinex. and the bigi Q. Did your copy of P&G have a  $2.00 on Vicks?

        • ericswifeowensmom

The vicks $2 q is from the p&g home mailer or maybe ebony magazine. Check the database to see all the options.hth

      • Traci0322

It wasn’t free for me, didn’t have a $2/vicks product, but I did have the bogo free q, bought 7 boxes, used (3) BOGO q and (2) $1/2 Puffs, paid $2 plus tax for 7 boxes.  Not bad.  Thanks, though, I never would have noticed that the tissues were pictured on the q.  :)

      • canes

        the coupons didnt beep?

    • Tonja

The prilosec is not on sale for 24.99 and you don’t get the $5.00 bucks back when you buy it.  Where did you get your information from?

      • asmith

In my ad for Richmond VA area , you may be in a test market, read beginning of post.

      • Rntobe10

The Prilosec is on sale! I did this deal and it did give me 5 ECBs. in Lex., SC.

    • Diana

To get the $4 EB can you buy a revlon beauty tool or does it have to be a cosmetic?

    • Wethedeans

I have a $3 off any revlon product from the red box and I already did the 6 nail polishes, does anyone have a good idea for something inexpensive to do a deal?

      • Kksanders825

You can use it on some revlon eyeshadow that it printing out a 4 ECB.

      • Traci0322

I used mine on a cute sparkly eyeshadow for my daughter.  It was $5.49, so after the $3q and the $4 ECB it was a money maker…

      • Orchidia26

Hey the eye shadow quads came to $0.49 after $3off n $4ecb ;)

At my CVS earlier I got Herbal Essence Shampoo for .99 cents a bottle. On sale for $2.99 – $2.00 mq from PG 3/4

Also Physicians Formula concealer is 5.99 and on sale for $4 off in store. add the $1 mq from 2/12

      • Kyle

How did you get the $2 off that?  The coupon says, buy one product, get $2 off ONE styler.  Doesn’t that mean you would have to buy one shampoo and one styler?  Or is styler a shampoo??  Thanks

Does anyone in the “test” area know that CVS start the sale today or not? Do they have the same sale as the non test area? Thanks for sharing!

      • Randa

I am in the test area and when pulling up the weekly circular on the CVS website, there is a new ad up.  It’s still not totally the ad we are used to, but seems to be pretty good.

        • Mom77

I looked on the CVS website and in my part of Alabama there is not a new ad. :-( .

      • VP22

I think it depends on where you are. I am in Birmingham. I checked to see if we had a new ad online and we did not. I also went in the store this morning and there was no new ad:-(

    • Laurah

Went to CVS to get my deals on Sunday…walked in and scanned card…got $5 off $15.  I was so excited that I left to look online and see what else I could get.  Then, I found out that I’m in the test area.  I left the store empty-handed because there are no ECB deals…very disappointing!

      • Nicolepiper

that happened to me too! i drove 20 minutes to get to a CVS expecting some awesome deals only to find that they weren’t being offered. Super bummed…. :(

    • Couponking@yahoo.com

Bought 6 dog treats and 2 friskies, used 6 combination of purina and pedigree coupons for $ 1 each, used 4 off 20, used 5 dollar extrabucks and CVS card thats about to expire, paid 6 dollars and get 5 ECB.!! paid a dollar each on treats instead of full price…

      • Jlaleonard

what kind of dog treats worked for this deal?

    • Randa

Someone might have already noted this, but the All *Free and Clear* laundry detergent is included in the gift card promotion.  The ad doesn’t have that “flavor” as being included, but it was for me today.

    • Barbara

Check your emails…I just received a $3/$15 CVS coupon.

    • @ts

Does anyone know if I will be able to use 2 $3 off 15 purchase coupons for spend 30 get 10 ecb deal?   Thanks.

      • Pema_dolkar

        yes u can

        • @ts

Did you try it in one transaction or two?  The coupon say limit one per customer……

      • beths44

how did u get 2? I thought it keeps track of those and it’s usually 1 time per card.

    • Stchristner

When the printable coupon link directs you to a fb page, where are the coupons located?  I can’t find it on the all free and clear page. Thanks :)

      • Generally you have to be logged into Facebook and “like” the page it directs you to. Then you should see the coupon.

    • Pema_dolkar

I can’t find the reinventin beauty magazine in any of the cvs stores in my area. Is there anyone who would like to trade coupons? I would love to have the $3 huggies coupons from that magazine. At least 3 or 4 of those coupons. My email is pema_dolkar@hotmail.com. Thank you.

      • Kathy A.

I bought several of those magazines plus got a free insert that was on the rack which has all the coupons from the mag. I will be glad to send you all of the Huggies coupons I have.

i tried to get the 2 body washes with the 2 facial cleansers using the B1 cleanser G1 free bodywash coupons, and the $3/2 cleansers and the cashier said that coupon was for the “expensive cleansers” so it won’t work. I showed her it said “ANY” and she said well, i’ll try it but it won’t accept the coupon. It beeped so she said nope, won’t work. Wth? Did anyone use it on the 3.79 cleansers and it worked?
