    • Cyndi

Hi: Does CVS has the $10 gas promo next  week?   I did not see it listed on your list of items for next week. THanks!

      • Cait

I am pretty sure this is the last week for the gas card.

      • guest

I read on CVS site several months ago the gas promo was supposed to end the week of Aug 22, so I was surprised it ran this past week. I think its over.

      • Anonymous

I shopped yesterday and got credit towards it on the receipt, but still haven’t reached 30. I wonder if they’ll give it to me if I reach this week though.

      • Anonymous

No, there is no gas promo in the ad.

    • Mikki

I know at Walgreens you can’t have more coupons than you do items…. Is CVS the same way?

      • Kelly C

No, they aren’t that way. I would just make sure to have little items to cover overage of coupons or extra care bucks.

      • Anonymous

        No, they aren’t.

      • gardengirl

Last week my CVS told me that they changed the rules and will not longer allow more coupons (including ECB’s) than items sold.  So if I buy 5 items I can only use 5 coupons (CVS, mfg and ECB’s).  I hope this is only happening at this location or the lady was misinformed.  Luckily there are several CVS locations to choose from.

        • Anonymous

I would call corporate to verify this.  Unfortunately, some CVS’s tend to make up rules as they go…it’s easier than simply learning about their own coupon policies.

        • Anonymous

That is incorrect. If CVS were to actually start doing this as a corp. policy, then there is not much life left for these blogs.

        • Julie

Maybe they used to work at Walgreens, cuz that sounds like their policy LOL

      • No.  You can use as many coupons and ECB in a transaction as you’d like.

    • ashley willis

Is the shave cream thats on sale the one we have the coupon for or is it the regular Skintamate?

      • Anonymous

I’m wondering the same thing. Mine expires 9/10 and says mousturizing cream shave not “shave cream” ?

        • Anonymous

it worked for me…even though it is different in the wording.

          • Smartgirlsaving

I believe I was told that you can’t use that one b/c it does state that it is for the moisturizing cream shave. If a particular product is pictured but states any kind than that is ok. Good Luck!

            • ashley willis

Ill try it and hope that it works. It would be nice to get some free shave cream. considering my 4 year old daughter thinks she has to pretend to “shave” like mommy.

    • Amy G

Skintimate shave gel printable coupon no longer works. Any one have other suggestions?

      • Loverly642

I saw some for sale on Ebay!

        • Smartgirlsaving

By the time the coupon comes in from ebay the stores will probably be sold out.

          • Anonymous

            learn to love rain checks!

    • Anonymous

$1.50 Skintimate coupon says it has expired.

      • Anonymous

        mine doesn’t expire til 10/07

        • Anonymous

          Print offer expired.

    • Jcwiakala_44

That coupon has been NLA a long time now. Some of us still have some.

    • zebby

On the b1g1 Hershey coupon, it says you get the air delight free with any hershey milk chocolate bar, so you can get the air delight with ecb and get one free since the air delight is a type of milk chocolate bar, so that makes two free.  No need to buy the extra regular hershey bar for 99 cents.

      • Anonymous

if the regular hershey bar is 99 cents…then you still get both for free. you used the coupon and it takes off the 99 cents for the air delight…and you still get your 99 cents ECB to print.

No more gas card?! This was the highlight of my summer! Hate that it ended!!

I got that one too but not sure I’ll have $30 worth of stuff I need.  Gonna take another look through the ad.

    • kihughes

Thanks to the person who left a BOGO coupon for
Axe body wash on the shelf at CVS (Chas. by  Trident Hospital). It was a great surprise and appreciated. I plan to  pay it forward  and make someone elses day :)

      • judi

Oh that made my day.  I am not the one who left that coupon for you, but I do leave coupons that I decide I don’t want the item, on the shelf and I have wondered if any one ever picks them up and uses them.  Glad you got to use the coupon.

    • Abbytippens

Do all CVS’s start their sales on Saturday night?

      • Only the non 24 hour stores.

        • Anonymous

not all of the non 24 hr start their sales on Sat any more.   Three of ours in the Mauldin, SC area stopped doing this a few weeks ago.

      • Gilpritchett

It varies by location-you just need to call or ask when stopping by.

    • Smartgirlsaving

No deal on the Skintimate the coupon is no longer available ;(  Does anyone know of another $1.50 off?

      • Felicia

no, but I know that the CVS website has $1.00off coupons.

        • wpt

Is anyone else having trouble printing the cvs qs.  My just prints one line of number/symbols/letters at the top?

          • Anonymous

            No

    • Robin

I noticed on my CVS reciept from last week that is said buy 6 Huggies Jumbo packs get 1 free (and gave me credit for the 4 I purchased the week before last). I don’t have any more of the CVS $2 off coupons but I plan to use the $3 off Slip-On manufacturer’s coupon to buy 2 more packs then I should get a free one!

      • Anonymous

I noticed this too and had no idea this promo was going on.

    • Don’t forget to use the $4/$20 CVS coupon that was emailed today!

    • Anixon

There is another skintimate shave cream coupon on smartsource…it is on the third page for 1/1

      • Anonymous

        Thanks!

I can’t find it. What zip code?

My ad has Filippio Olive Oil for $3.99, looked in the database and found a $1 ip. Am in need of olive oil, so $2.99 sounds like a good price to me! Has anyone used this brand before?

      • Mary S

Yes, I’ve bought it the last couple times CVS has had that sale, and it works great for me!

        • Me too, it is really one of the only things I want this week.

      • Anonymous

Where did you find the coupon? I am in need of olive oil as well. Thanks.

        • Anonymous

look in jenny’s coupon database, it’s up at the top of this page…search “Filippo” (sry i mispelled it the first time). it will take you straight to the link.

          • Anonymous

            found it. thanks.

      • Anonymous

CVS has had that on sale for the same price for a number of years. After coupon 2.99 for 17 oz Olive Oil is just so so considering you can find larger size Olive Oil on sale at grocery stores often for a good value price. It works just as good as any store brand. Make sure you buy the variety that suits your needs. For example, there is one variety that is for sautee/cooking/frying etc and the other is for “taste” on salad etc.

There is also $1 manuf Q. on a tearpad out there. See if you can find it in your grocery store shelves.

        • Gilpritchett

I would be careful on expiration dates-drugstores are notorious for expired/almost so, perishables.

          • CVS WORKER

I am a cashier at a CVS in Kissimmee, FL my managers are ALWAYS checking every single day for expired product, also depending on the product, it alerts us cashiers to check to make sure whether it is or isn’t expired.

            • Anonymous

product may not be “expired” but they expire soon and they are not taken out of shelves. I have seen cereal expiring in short period of time and yet legal to sell; and also have had brand name cereal boxes I bought from CVS and they had at least half of flakes gound into powdered form.

      • Anonymous

If you have a Bi-Lo near you, I would wait they run the larger bottles on sale often B1G1, use 2 coupons makes them cheap. HTH.

      • Yes it’s really good

    • Anonymous

Question: Can I use two Manf. Qs on B1G1 sale at CVS? Thanks.

      • Mary S

Yes, you can. It’s Rite Aid where they won’t let you do that.

        • Anonymous

          Thank you.

      • Anonymous

I would advise you ask at your local store. My local Rite Aid does and CVS doesn’t (reverse of Mary’s scenario).

      • Anonymous

mycvs let me use 2 1.00 off Q’s with a b1g1 this past week, it was on the starburst!

    • Anonymous

For anyone fast or lucky enough to snag a Suave body wash coupon on Facebook when they ran that promo a few weeks ago…

If you still have your Q for a free bottle, this is the time to use it with the B2G1. Combine with the .50 Q on Unilever’s site and it should come to .50 each for 3 bottles.

      • Anonymous

        I think the expired 8/20?

      • Sprtgirl32

Thanks for the reminder!! I somehow got two of them! Mine expire on 9/04.

        • Sprtgirl32

Would I still be able to use 2 $.50/1 coupons?

          • Anonymous

No, because the free Q makes one free, the G2G1 makes one free, leaving 1 bottle that has no coupon applied yet. One .50 off.

    • Okay for the CVS Huggies coupon, is the limit reached for my computer or limit reached so there are not anymore available?

      • Bamacat

No more prints available.  I have never printed that one and it is not showing up at all for me.

    • Kayleecol

Question: If there is an ECB deal that is Schick Intuition, Quattro for men or for women razor 1 ct., or cartridges 3-4 ct. and there is a limit of 1 does that mean only one ECB on either or can you get it on both the razor and then the cartridges?

      • Anonymous

One ECB deal per card, can’t get one for each product

        • Kayleecol

          Thanks!

      • Anonymous

No. It is one per “offer.” One offer includes multiple products and choose one product for ecb; and that is it for ecb for that offer.

        • Kayleecol

          Thanks!

    • They also have U by Kotex tampons on sale 2/$7 ($3.50 each.)
I was mailed a CVS coupon for $2 off any U by Kotex product a while back. Did anyone else get this coupon? Combined with my $1 off Manufactor coupons, that is .50 for a box! :)

      • Chasityavinger

I got that same coupon in the mail. Thanks for the reminder!

      • sharon wilson

I received a $2 coupon at the kiosk for U by Kotex  yesterday.

    • cherry

I have a question regarding the physician’s formula rebate…can i buy all three items and mail all the rebates separately or should i just choose one item to buy and send in one rebate? It says…one rebate per household. Thanks!

      • ashley b

it does look like they are separate rebates(they all have different rebate names) but it does ask you to send in the TRY ME FREE label from the product, make sure you get ones with those!!

        • cherry

          thanks, ashley!

    • karen

      Yes, a fun list!

    • Anonymous

My CVS won’t give ECBs on free items. Found that out today on the free Olay BW wyb Regenerist. Was supposed to get 2 ECB on the body wash…didn’t print.

      • dsmith

I did that deal  yesterday..bought 2 regenerist and 2 bodywashes; and got a $3 on the regenerist and a $2 on the body wash. Limit of 1 though on both the Regenerist and body wash.

      • Anonymous

The item is not “free.” You are paying for it in form of something that has cash value for CVS.

      • Chris

I did the Pantene ProV this week and used my Pantene free shampoo Qs and got my ECB without an issue.  Sounds like the cashier did something to cause the ECB to not print.  I would take that up with the store manager or call their customer service.

    • The coupons going around for 4 off of 20 and 5 off of 30, is that before or after coupons?

      •  before coupons. you want to give that coupon first and then all your other ones.:)

      • msivory20

And also before tax so do your math ahead of time :)

    • Andrea

Can someone help a newbee shopper for CVS?  How does the ECB work – do I get a coupon to use at a later date or is it taken off at checkout?  If it is taken off at the checkout, is there something I need to do to make sure I get the credit??

      • When you make the purchase with the items that offer ECB then on the bottom of you receipt for that purchase will be a “coupon” for your ECB.

      • Savn2gether

When you pay for your items, the ECB prints at the bottom of the receipt for you to use on a future purchase. You can’t use them on that purchase, but you can divide your items into several separate transactions and use them that way. For a good example, look at the scenario idea posted above. If you divided your items into the 3 transactions listed, you would get 99 cents from the hershey air delight candy bar. You can use this on your next transaction while you are still in the store and get something else that will give you more ECB (like the carefree pantiliners listed in the scenario). Then, you could get keebler bars which will give you additional ECB. ECB work like gift cards, you can use regular and manufacturer coupons with it, and you can use multiple ECB to pay for a single item. The only catch is if you have a $5 ECB, you have to use that one ECB all in a single transaction. You can’t divide it into $3 for one transaction and $2 for another. A single ECB must be used all at once. Also, I try to have a mental list of how many ECB should print per transaction. That way, if an ECB doesn’t print, I can ask the cashier about it and they can print it manuallly if necessary. Hope this helps!

        • judi

I also keep in mind how many ECB’s I should get back on my receipt and I check before I walk out, because sometimes you don’t get them on an item.  Sometimes it has been my fault because you must buy the right size and I picked up the wrong size.

    • Anonymous

Got the $5 off $30 coupon this week. There are only a few things I’m interested in this week’s ad and in order to reach the $30 purchase I’ll have to fill in with a lot of skintimate which is covered by coupons. I don’t really use that product and I hope they put a donation bin out of the store so I can leave them to people who need it…

      • Leaz

If you don’t need it or use it, please don’t buy a bunch of it. there are people who do use it who are going to be very frustrated when they get to the store and find empty shelves! Donating is honorable, but so is good coupon ettiquette!

        • Candace

I completely agree with this statement. I use and LOVE the Skintimate shave cream but everytime there is finally a sale on it I can never find it. Drives me crazy!

          • judi

When that happens be sure you get a raincheck.  I like having rainchecks so when I have extra bucks about to expire, and there is nothing to roll them on, I have my rainchecks to fall back on.  But it is disappointing when I plan out a big plan and when one thing is out, I have to rework my plan in the store, so now most of the time I just have a plan in my head and work it out in the store based on whats available or I will use a raincheck in an items place. Sometimes I make mistakes though.

      • MaryAnn

Me too. I hate the 5/30 coupon since it’s hard to reach 30. However it’s important to use it because otherwise the system will stop generating those. Remember hearing lots of people complaining never get the 5/25 or 4/20 coupons. That’s probably because when they had one they skipped it so their extracare cards are no longer targeted by the system.

      • Unacutie

I used it last week, they were 2 for $6+ CVS BOGO Q+there was an internet printable MQ that you could use as well so i think it made both bags almost free???  Not sure where the printable Q came from but check the coupon database…  Hope this helps

    • Anonymous

when and how is the best time to use the bogo skittles/lifesavers CVS coupons that have been printing?

      • SarahR

Check the coupon database.  I had some internet printed coupons for $1 off skittles, starburst or lifesavers.  I  am not sure if it matches(size wise)  with the CVS coupon though.

        • Anonymous

          Thanks, SarahR :)

    • CCShad

Someone may have posted this already, but the red machine has been printing out $1 off Orbit gum 14 ct all week, and now gum is B1G1

      • Merrijg24

I just posted that too. good deal

      • Anonymous

My store had one that was actually on clearance for .75 or so. The cashier only took off .75 but it was free gum!

    • TNCouponer

      Where are the gas deals?

      • Anonymous

I believe the gas deals were a summer promotion that has now come to an end.

        Gas deals end today (9/3).

Does anyone know how long the Pampers deal of buy 6 get 1 free is going to run?

      • I called and asked and they said through the end of december, same for huggies

        • Anonymous

Thanks. I hope there’s enough good deals between now & then to get the free pack. I’m buying 2 tomorrow so that’ll put me 1/3 the way there.

          • Laurenwdeberry

Is there a way to tell how many you have purchased? Is this the boxes or bags

            • Anonymous

Your receipts should show you how many you’ve purchased, although I’ve heard the system can take a day or two to update the same way it does with the beauty bonus. As far as I know it’s any size pack of diapers.

    • Anonymous

I tried to use both the CVS Skintimate printable and the Manuf Q on the shave cream, but my store would not allow me to use both. The cashier tried, but the register gave him a hard time. Then I didn’t even notice, but he took the coupon off as well, so I paid $1.99. I’ll be making another trip to fix this later. I also had trouble with ECBs printing for the Always and Excedrin. The cashier was great about it and printed generic ECBs for me, but what a hassle today. Not usual for my CVS.

      • Calpurnia78

You cant print the $1.50 coupon for the skintimate anymore.

      • Anonymous

I think those Qs are for specific variety. The names must match exactly on coupon and the product, though they sound very similar. If upc (the first set of numbers)on Q matches upc (first set) on the product, then you have the right product and it wont beep.

      • msivory20

Hey there, I had the same problem buying 2 Skintimate Creams as well this morning. I had 2 $1 store q’s and 2 $1 off manu. q’s. She scanned the first m.q. fine then it beeped when she scanned the 2nd m.q. She hadn’t even scanned the store ones yet so it only got worse from there! Cashier (manager) said that there must be a reason the computer wouldn’t take it then she brought up the whole “one per purchase”, which I then explained was not per transaction but per item purchased.  So when she finally said that she would push it through even though she “wasn’t supposed to”, it was like she was doing me this huge favor or something!   So question, who was right? And do you think the issue was that the sale price was $1.99 and the q’s were $2?

        • Anonymous

I had trouble with mine as well. I bought 2 cans; the first manufacturer’s q went through fine, but the second beeped. The cashier just shrugged it off and pushed it through without my asking her to. Then when she got to the store q it beeped as well and she just manually put them in.

You are right that “one per purchase” means one per item not transaction. Apparently there’s something weird going on in the system since we had similar problems. I don’t think the issue is the coupons adding up to $2 b/c I frequently get overages from coupons and have never had any trouble b/c of it.

      • Space

My CVS wouldn’t let me use the Manu coupon and the CVS coupon. My sister tried it at another CVS and same thing :(

    • I would love to find a good coupon for Purex. Havent seen one of those in a while.

      • are you a kroger shopper? If you haven’t already, call the number on the back of your card to sign up for coupons. I just got one from them for purex and some free items.

        • Thank you!! I just looked and no such luck but I do have a free eggs coupon I forgot about.

      • Anonymous

I haven’t seen any of those lately either. I love Purex! So, I sent them an e-mail and after few days I received coupons for detergent and some other Henkel products.

        • TMKONA29M

I may send them an email too.

    • Lisa

I am so disappointed that the past few months have been poor for couponing. I remember how I used to go and buy so much for little OOP. Now, it is hardly worth going to CVS with such few bargains.

      • momto7

I have gotten a few good deals the last few weeks but only because I got some $5 beauty club ECB and $10 off $50 Q’s from the red box. But with out those I wouldn’t even have gone. I hope it’s not the end of the great bargins.

    • Merrijg24

So this last week when I scanned my card at the red box it gave me the $1.00 off orbits pack of gum. now this week they aare b1g1! this means I can get 2 packs of gum for .49 cents! I think thats good.

      • Anonymous

Actually two for “free” if you also use .50/2 manuf Q

    • I use to have a problem with never being able to find anything in stock but now i go to cvs at like 8 sunday morning and EVERYTHING is in stock, i dont clear shelves whatsoever and im already up so its not a big deal but if ppl are having trouble with things being in stock, try going earlier in the day. when i went back sunday afternoon, most of the stuff is gone, so it makes a huge difference.

      • Anonymous

Unfortunately, our local stores don’t open until 10:00 & I leave for church at 9:30.  I usually don’t shop until Thurs. afternoon or Fri. (after the truck has delivered & shelves have been re-stocked).  There are still times when they don’t have what I want, so I get rainchecks & use them later.

        • yeah thats a good idea too. i’ve seen some people that basically have to shop cvs by using rainchecks for everything and they basically just are a week behind and will do this weeks deals next wek once everything is in stock. that really stinks that your cvs doesnt open until 10 :

    • Haley

I have a question about the Suave body wash deal. I got the Suave sample pack from Walmart this week and it had a “Save $1 off two” coupon. Underneath it does say that it can’t be redeemed with any other offer. I also have a B2G1 Free Suave Body wash from a couple of weeks ago. Can I use those two coupons together? I wasn’t sure since it said the “can’t be redeemed with any other offer” wording, but since the B2G1 free coupon is for a separate item, will it still work? I want to make sure I’m following the rules. Thanks for any help!

      • Anonymous

It ought to.  You should be able to take the $1 off the two you are buying, and the B2G1 coupon applies to the Free item.

        • Haley

Thanks for the reply! I tried it yesterday and it worked. I bought 3 bottles for $3. Not the best deal, but I’m using them for gift baskets.

    • K_Alexander

Had a great trip to cvs tonight. Got 2 skintimate shave creams, 2 earbuds, 2 keebler granola bars, 2 Hershey bars, 2 orbitz gum, carefree pantiliners, st. Josephs aspirin, raincheck razor. All for less than 5.00 OOP before tax. I’ve been disappointed in CVS the last few weeks, but was thrilled this week.

    • Laduga

Great CVS trip tonight. Bought two bottles of the Skintimate Shave Cream, Stayfree pantiliners, and 2 packs of the travel size baby wipes for total of $1.41 and $1 ECB back, so really $0.41 for all.  I love couponing at CVS. The staff is always so friendly, helpful, and patient. Thanks Jenny for letting us know the deals that that you can start shopping at 6:30PM on Saturday before the new sale ad begins.

    • Christina

If some is on sale B1G1 will you get credit for both items or just one toward your sub total to use the $5 off $30 purchase cpn ?

      • Anonymous

        Just one (with card)

    • Portraitsbytamika

seeking huggies pull up coupons.  I will print one from the site, but need 2 more.  let me know if you want to swap something for them as well.  I think there are some $1 off ones in the 8-14 coupons.

Please email me at portraits by tamika at gmail if you can mail me some so I can use them at CVS this week.

      • Dharvn

you should be able to print 2 from the pullups, just use your browser’s back button

        • Portraitsbytamika

Well it said one per household per month so I only printed one.  don’t want the coupon police coming after me.

    • Piechie

Android/iPhone users – download free app called Checkpoints and earn free CVS gift cards. Use code stefanie28 and you’ll be halfway to your first CVS card…and actually have enough points for a $1 Home Depot card. Happy shopping!

I’m not sure if this is correct or nOt. But I was under the impression that CVS did not accept Internet printed coupons. Is that right?

      • zebby

        yes they accept them

      • I’ve never had trouble with them accepting internet printables.

      • Amy

I have one in town that takes them and another that won’t.

    • Cherry

      • Pam

I am in awe of your mad couponing skills! :)

      • Janet

Great deal, but I thought that you had to purchase the Olay products by Sept 2 to do the $20 rebate. Have they extended it? I realized this yesterday when getting my deal together and was very bummed!

      • Dharvn

i did that deal last week, and sadly it ended saturday 9/2, unless you have rainchecks or your store runs its sales on a different cycle.

    • SO frustrating

about 1/2 of the coupon matches are ever right, I’ve given up

      • Chris

This site is meant as a GUIDE.  You still have to do the work and compare your available Qs with your local ads.  Prices and Qs vary by region (and sometimes even within a region).

As a side note, I’m getting really tired of hearing all of the complaints about this site and Qs or prices not matching up.  Jenny does a lot of hard work getting the information to us at all – let alone being exactly correct for everywhere that a particular retailer has a store.  Get over it and do a little research on your own and you’ll be happier for it because you’ll learn what’s a good price and/or deal FOR YOUR AREA.  If you’re new then ask questions and those of us who are experienced will help you get going on the right path – but you, and everyone else complaining, need to understand that NO ONE IS GOING TO DO ALL OF THE WORK FOR YOU.

Thanks Jenny for all you do – there are those of us that do appreciate it.

        • Rickysgirl

SO true, Chris! There are way too many negative people who expect everything to be done for them!

    • I think the physicians formula buy 10 get back 7 extra bucks has a limit of 2. i bought something that was 11.99 the extra bucks printed and on my reciept it says amount towards this reward 10, amount needed to earn reward 10. so im wondering if it has a bigger limit than 1.

      • I’m curious too… my receipt said the same thing. But if that’s the case, you’d think that the amount we went over  would be included– $1.99 in your case and  $3.49 in mine.

      • swirlypop

I received that also. Unfortunately the coupon value is .79 cent and the candy bar is 1.19.

        • Davis_megan

1st Transaction: Bought Exedrin Migraine 100 ct and Carefree Panty Liners and got my free Milky Way Candy, paid $9 and some change, got $5 & $1 ECB.

2nd Transaction, bought 2 Wisk Laundry Detergent (B1G1), I used 2 $2 manufacturer q’s and used the $5 ECB, basically got the 2 Wisks for FREE!!! Still have $1 ECB left! Great trip to CVS today.

    • Anne

Just wondering if anyone might know.  I had a rain check for the shick deal from a few weeks ago.  I had a mfg. B1G1 coupon for disposable razors and I had a store coupon for $2.00 off razors for each pkg. as well.  I bought 2 pkgs of disposable razors for $8.99 each, and was told that since I had a $2.00 store coupon it made the price of the razors $6.99 so that is all that was taken off of the second pack.  Therefore causing my total to be $2.00 more than expected. I’m just wondering if this is correct, because my thinking is that the mfg. will reimburse for the $8.99 amount.

      • Sammmm

Trying to work this out and see what I get..
        Razor..8.99
        Razor..8.99
         total………..17.98
1SQ attaches to one you bought…………..-2.00
(pretty sure that CVS sq’s are only good on one product unlike walgreens where it they will attach to all products)
        1MQ attaches to free one………….-8.99

        so total oop is $6.99

If you had 2 store q’s then it should be     $4.99

Of course if this wasn’t a CVS deal then it could be different.

        • Anonymous

Except that you can not use 2 manuf Qs (though different) on one item-you can not use another $ 2 Q on your item B that has also used up b1g1 Q

        • Anne

So the store will not be reimbursed for the $8.99?  I was under the impression that the store had to give you the full value of the man Q or it would be considered coupon fraud on the store’s part, because they would making $2.00 extra? Just trying to get it straight in case I come accross the same situation in the future. :)

      • I would scan the B1G1 coupon first, then give them the $2 coupon. Maybe?

        • Anne

I think you might be right about that!!  I was thinking the same thing. Only problem was I had a rain check and the coupons were expired and attached to the rain check.  Unfortunately, I am not a gutsy person to tell her she needed to use the B1G1 first.  :)

      • Anonymous

The reimbursement on free Qs is always “upto” the value given because every retailer has different price.

You bought item A and B. You would use b1g1 Q on item item B for the full value of 8.99. You would use $2 on item A because you are buying it.  Ths has been the case for a very long time. (however, it looks like it is changing now-you can not use $off Q when you use b1g1 Q on the same two products)

The employee just made up something to look logical when he missed the whole point. You might as well could have saved the $2 Q and used b1g1 Q for full 8.99-so I do not see the wisdom that the employee presented to you.

        • Anne

I understand what you are saying about the Man Q’s, but the $2.00 Q’s were store Q’s.  The only Man Q was the B1G1, and yes, I think they have changed the $off Q when using a B1G1.  :(

          • Anonymous

Sorry, I misunderstood you had two store Q there. Technically speaking store Qs are like discounts on product price. So in that sense, the employee was correct. However, it used to be that you could get extra discount the way you had expected-but it looks like CVS has reprogrammed its registers and now catches all complex coupon combos. Next time, try to have them process b1g1 first for full price and then run store Q.  to see if they will go through without the beep.  Also note that, sometimes only one CVS store Q on one particular product is allowed per transaction.

Looks like the great Skintimate printable coupons have expired. Bummer! Am out of this and will not buy it unless it’s free or really, really inexpensive.

      • Rubies20

    • Olemissmoss

If a coupon says it expires on 9/4 does that mean it IS expired today or that it is good throughout the day.

    • Does anybody have a zip code that will work for the CVS Skintimate coupon?

      • Dvherrera25

The link took me straight to the cvs site…I didn’t need a zip code. I found it right away.

Had a great trip at CVS this morning. I bought hersheys air delight , hersheys reg milk chocolate, carefree pantiliners, purex detergent, 2 wisk detergent and 2 filippo berio olive oil. After  $4 off 20, coupons and previous ECB my total OOP was 1.95. And still has $1 and $.99 ECBs for next week. :-)

    • msivory20

So since it took me a while to find the Excedrin Menstrual relief gels…..I found a whole bunch stocked next to the tampons/pads. And the 20 ct. at my store was $6.39, not $6.99 :)

    • The instore coupon machine gave me a coupon for a FREE Dove chocolate bar.

    • The WISK at my stores were $8.99… I had some surprise ECBs (for my B-Day) come out so I got them any way..
Free Dove Bar. The cashier adj. the price down cuz it was only up to $.79… Something about cvs HQ. not sending certain signs… Got some other stuff too. Always liners-Free, Carefree- well you know that deal, and the Air Delight bar deal.  :)

I did pretty good today.  Got two boxes of Fiber Plus bars, a bottle of Sprite Zero, a Hershey’s chocolate bar, Hershey’s Air Delights bar, Dove chocolate bar, Carefree pantiliners, Skintimate shave gel and two packs of Orbits gum for $4.00 (after coupons and ECB’s)!  I also received $5 ECB’s.  I’m definitely lovin’ CVS these days.

My cvs only took one skintimate store coupon and beeped on the rest so I had the cashier take off the other bottles and surprisingly the computer didn’t void the $5 off $30 coupon. I’m all settled for that because I got 2 pair phillips color changing ear buds for free…

Hi Jenney, I live in Maryland and I had the same thing happen to me. It was weird, plus they didn’t even accept my other printed coupons, the cashier told me they received an email that stated they were not allowed to use printable coupons any longer. Does anyone know anything about this?

        • Tjbyrd

CVS does allow printables. However, If they stop allowing it will be because many customer’s are cheating and or abusing the system!!!

          • Anonymous

            You need to chill out.

        • SarahR

Hi Nena, I live in MD.  I asked today when I went to my CVS and she had not heard of a ban on IPs.  I only had one IP (.75 for the shave gel), it scanned and she did not even blink an eye.  I don’t think they get many coupon users at my CVS though because they still had the sale stuff in stock, even the head phones.

    • Does any one know if CVS will allow you to use a Purex with Zout coupon on the Purex they have on sale this week?

      • Anonymous

Only if you buy the purex with zout…otherwise the manufacturer won’t reimburse the store.

    • Momofthree045

I did pretty good for my first time couponing at CVS. I wrote out my transactions last night, I had to do 4 transactions to get what I wanted. It would of been a little better but when you buy the skintimate shaving cream for $1.99 you can’t use the CVS coupon for $1.50 with the $1 off coupon too because the CVS coupon is a manufacturer  coupon. Also when you buy the 2 Hershey’s Bar for 99 cents then use the BOGO coupon you get $1.19 off the free one, that’s 20 cents extra. So I had $38.50 in sale items including taxes. And spent only $14.34, that’s pretty good for my 1st time. Thank you Jenny.

      • Anonymous

The CVS Q I printed for the Skintimate starts with a 4 in the barcode…manufacturer Qs begin with a 5 or 9 in the barcode, right?

    • Gem1813

Is it sad how excited I get when Sunday (and a new CVS circular) come around??  My husband teases me endlessly about it, but sure didnt complain about this today: 3 body washes for him: excedrin, pantyliners, and shave gel for me: $27.98  Total due after Qs and ECB’s: $0.73 with 12 ECB’s for next time!!!  Wow!

    • I got a free Dove or Milky way bar from the machine.

    • Tjbyrd

CVS will not take coupons that BEEP!!! This indicates a problem with the coupons! You can only use one skintimate coupon per item!!!! If it scans, fine. If it beeps, it will not be accepted. CVS loses money on these coupons if they are manually put in!!!

      • Emily

I’m sorry they wouldn’t take your coupon. I had several coupons yesterday, including a manufacturer q ans store q for the skintimate. Maybe it was just your store but I assume they’d all be the same as fa as coupons that will scan without issues.

      • Chris

That would be an incorrect assumption.  The software is letting the operator know there is some sort of issue that falls outside a specific set of guidelines and they have to make a judgement call.  It works the same way everywhere.  In this instance (as many ppl have described having issues specifically with the Skintimate Qs) it sounds like a software issue and the registers are doing something they either A) aren’t supposed to do OR B) they are alerting the operator about something and they either aren’t paying attention or they don’t know any better.  So don’t automatically assume it’s the Qs and that you can’t use them.

        • Tjbyrd

This is not an assuption it is a fact!!!!!!!!!!!

          • Anonymous

Here is what happened when I went to buy cat treats today: I bought the exact items specified on the coupons and the coupons scanned fine. At another store, I bought the same product and the coupons beeped like crazy. Both times, I made sure to buy exactly what was pictured and described on the coupons. When I got home, I checked the bags. The UPC codes were different on the same product. One was an old barcode and one was a newer barcode. Just because a coupon beeps doesn’t mean that it is being used improperly.

Or alternatively, If a coupon for beef scans for vegetables. Does that mean that it was used properly? If a coupon says 4 per shopping trip but you use 5 and they all scan beeplessly, were they used correctly? I think everyone knows the answer. Just because a coupon beeps doesn’t mean it was misused and just because it scans doesn’t mean that it was used correctly. Always follow what is written on the coupon, beep or not. If the store won’t take a legitimate coupon, contact the manufacturer about the issue. They need to know when a coupon is coded incorrectly (Boiron for example).

            • Chris

E X A C T L Y.  Thank you.  Exact same product but two diff barcodes causes the system to beep and ALERT THE OPERATOR to double-check what they’re doing.    I’ve had that happen to me to – even in the same store in the same transaction (two items that are identical have two diff barcodes).  So Tj – remember what happens when you assume.  Registers are just computers and only do what their software says to do and what the operator tells them to do – nothing more.  And since we’re all human (and operators and software coders/writers are human) we all make mistakes – so it’s bound to happen that the computer makes a mistake.

            • Rebecca

I agree – a couple of days ago I was at Target & bought some notebooks that were on clearance. I picked up 8 notebooks that were the same from the same bin, a few different colors.   When the clerk scanned one pink notebook, it was the sale price.  She scanned the next one of the exact same product – even the same color- and it rang up more.  I called her on it, and she looked at the barcodes.  They were different so she said they were different products.  Mind you, these notebooks were EXACTLY THE SAME.  When I asked her why they were different, her answer was “Because the barcode is different.” I think a lot of issues could be resolved if clerks had some problem-solving skills.   All she had to do was look it & ascertain that it was the same product & go from there- make a price adjustment or call someone to do it.  Instead I walked out without the notebook because she wouldn’t use even a modicum of critical-thinking skills.  (And this does not apply to all clerks, I realize.  I just picked the wrong lane clearly…)

      • Maryljames31

My CVS took them. They had to adjust them done .1 because they dont allow overage.

      • Abby Craig

the reason it beeped is because most people are buying the skintimate that is in the can and not the bottle. The coupon is for the cream not the gel. I had the same thing happen until I put it back and got the cream one. Then it went through for the clerk just fine.

        • Tjbyrd

right!! But some customer’s think it don’t matter and don’t want the product if they can’t get for free!!! They think the coupon should be put through anyway!

    • Princess_heather85

It takes a couple days for it to show up.

        • Princess_heather85

So it will take a couple days to update the total on the receipt?

          • Rebecca

yes – i had purchased 5 already, and then bought 2.  when i walked out after purchasing the last 2 my receipt still only showed 5.  but i went back a couple of days later & the redbox spit out a coupon for a free pack.   my receipt showed updated totals when i checked out.  don’t worry, you’ll get credit!  :-)

      • Dharvn

i think it’s just the huggies pullups, i bought 3 huggies pullups and 1 huggies slipons…only 3 counted towards my free pack… so i still need to buy 3.

        • Anonymous

Some stores remove a few to check the expiration date. I am still finding some products with rebates that expired last year still attached.

      • Anonymous

Food for thought, PF may not send you a rebate for a try me free offer if they are sponsoring another offer. In their words: you can not use a coupon used in conjunction with the offer, combine the offer with a buy one get one free sale, or expect to receive a rebate if there is a PF sponsored cash back promotion (ECB, RR, +UP, etc.) I personally think that’s insane so I never bothered with the rebate.

Also, the peelies are on the products in little colored tabs (pink or green) in the upper corners. Not all stores have them.

I found a Listerine deal in my CVS Flyer that I did not see posted.  Listerine original, cool mint, or fresh burst 16.9oz or PocketPaks 72 ct. You Pay: 2.99, ECB reward: 1.00, coupon: .50, so its like getting it for $1.50 .

      • Chris

If you have Publix in your area they have a deal that’s just as good if not better.  1.5L @ $5.99 – $1/1 Publix store Q (green flyer) – $0.50 manuf Q (doubled) = $3.99.  You’d have to buy 3 of the smaller size from CVS to equal the larger one.

        • Chris

And actually it appears CVS will have the 1.5L on sale Sunday coming up for $3.  If that includes the Total or other versions you could get it as low as $2 for the big bottle, after $1/1 manuf Q, which is an excellent deal – $2.50 for the reg version (after $0.50/1 manuf Q).  HTH

    • I went yesterday to get the skintimate shaving cream for free.  I don’t understand it but they said I couldn’t use the CVS Manufactures coupon and a normal manufacturers coupon on the same item.  I told them I always had in the past, but the machine wouldn’t allow it this time.  It was very upsetting, Has anyone else had that problem?

      • 28086

I had the same problem on Sunday, but I asked the cashier very nicely,
if she could call the manager, she did, the manager said that yes indeed,
we can use a manufacturer and a CVS, which is not a manufacturer, but a
store coupon.  Some cashiers are not aware of this.

      • Macshea4

I was told today that for some reason it would not use the $1 manf coupon with store q for the shave gel. You can use the .75 q and get it for .37. that is the total with tax. I get 3 today for that price.

    • .50/1 Carefree product, SS 8/21—-not in the Lynchburg News & Advance paper

    • Went there today, 7 transactions and only spending about 61$. Savd 90$ with .99c Extra-bucks left. 33 items, including Prilosect, KY and Wisk. If anyone is interested I’ll post my transactions. :)

      • Portraitsbytamika

Can someone please explain why we should do things in more than one transaction.

        • The thing is, I started out with her ringing up my order and it came to 144$. When we went back through, doing each ECB transaction individually i saved about 90$ only paying 60.98 or something close to that. After each ECB would print from one receipt she would rip it off and use it on my next order, and continued on until we were done. Because it kept printing more ECB when the transactions were done right. If you wait and pay all together, your ECB will be all printed on your only reciept and you cannot use it on the items you just bought but on another transaction.

          • Portraitsbytamika

Okay, got it.  I’ve been okay with just getting them all at once, but this is a another idea worth looking into.

        • Anonymous

          A) To get multiple ecbs on same offer (if limit is higher than 1) separately for the same offer instead of summed up in one-Smaller ecbs are easy to work with

          B) To pay for next transaction in row with previous ecbs you just received from the transaction completed-Thus, it would keep your OOP to minimum.

Today the Coupon Center printed out my free coupon for a Jumbo pack of Pampers (after I purchased six.)  The value on the coupon is up to $11.99.  Does anyone know if I will receive $11.99 off the total purchase and get some overage if diapers are on sale now for $7.99?  Thanks.

      • probably just 7.99 off, but you might get lucky…
One thing you could try is buy 2 packs, use your cvs free q plus 2 manu qs.  Usually how my cvs works is the overage from the q will be applied if you have more of the same product (eg 7.99 to one pack and the remaining 4 to the second pack), but it will not apply to the rest of your cart and they will not give you money back. It’s worth a try.  You can always ask them to void the extra item if the overage thing doesn’t work.  HTH

        • Anonymous

Actually, if it is cvs printed Q, then it goes for overage for any items and works just as if you were using ecb for 11.99. This is how it has been at least until few months ago.

      • Anonymous

It looks like cvs own store Qs printed by the red machine go for overage for full price indicated in “up to.” Basically it works as ecbs and will scan without any beep. This is how it has always been unless the register has been reprogrammed recently (havent shopped much lately). So keep something in the transaction to absorb overage and see if it works.

On a side note; if it were manuf Q., then cvs registers do not allow “overage” at all, not even on same product. I have noticed this as new change in register programming. It used to accept overage for the same product in the transaction but not for any other products. However, now one manuf Q. truly matches the price with the same one product only even if you have same multiple products in the transaction. Sorry to confuse you, but someone below me stated what it used to be and now there is no overage at all (at least in store where I am)

    • Question: Axe body wash is on sale B1G1 50%. I have the B1G1 coupon (not sure which paper it is from) so would that make my total 2 for the price of 1/2? Online it is $4.34, so the second one would be $2.17. They would subtract $4.34 right?

      • Anonymous

Generally, the lower price is deducted for b1g1 free Qs; however, a good not so vigilante employee should have no problem deducting the full price.

        • The reason I thought they would take the full price off is because if it were a B1G1 sale and I had a B1G1 coupon, they would deduct the full price, so I thought it would be the same case here. Guess not.

          • The store I went to did deduct the full price because the half off price wouldn’t work. The register beeped so the cashier was told by the manager that it’s supposed to be the full price taken off. The coupons don’t have anything to do with the store price so they have to take off the regular price.

            • Thanks! It would be nice if the store price and the online price matched. I’ve seen discrepancies many times when I try to get a price estimate.

        • I got 4 of the Axe body wash today using my B1G1 coupon and ended up paying$1.50 ea. The online price is cheaper than the store price.

    • Bushangie76

I just looked at my CVS Skintimate coupon and it is a manu q with remit address even though it says CVS Pharmacy at the top….

      • I used both Qs with no problem. I’m pretty sure CVS’s cash register beeps when you have 2 manu Qs and only 1 product.

    • Anonymous

      Regarding skintimate purchase:-

The same deal was out a number of months ago and many of you had posted Q was beeping at the time and now it is the same problem. There is nothing wrong with the Qs nor with stacking. It is the wrong product you are buying.

At that time, I checked and found that the specific “cream” variety has its own upc code different from other skintimate. The Q picture matches exactly the “cream” variety that is on shelf and I matched the upc code. My Qs at that time went perfectly

So match your coupon first set of UPC numbers with that on the product on shelf and qs will not beep. I will try for this week offer soon.

The red magic coupon machine is giving out $10 off zyrtec tablets 25 or more count. It is on sale this week for $18.99 and stacked with a manufacturer coupon of $4.00-your OOP is $4.99! Plus the bottles are for 40 tablets instead of 30. These bottles are normally $24.00-I Love CVS!!

I had a CVS coupon for a free Dove candy bar. The gum was BOGO free. I had a NEGATIVE $0.13 balance before tax, $0.15 in taxes for a total due of $0.02. I handed the cashier a quarter. She said, “Oh, I have two pennies right here.” I walked out paying NOTHING!!!!!!

      Read This regarding Skitimate Qs

      A) CVS and manuf Qs both can be stacked. They are one store and one manuf Q. without a doubt.

      B)  Usually one alike CVS store Q on the same  product is allowed per transaction. Therefore, buy only one item per transaction.

      C) The price is 1.99 and it will ring up so if you scan your card the very first in a transaction. Since the second Q price will overage by a penny, CVS register does not accept overage over the products price. Therefore, no matter what, the second Q in the row wether cvs or manuf Q. will beep and needs to be adjusted to 0.99 cents

      D) The mauf Q. from the insert had coding error. The coupon that is out there is meant for “cream shave” as written and pictured for the tube. However, manuf Q shows upc code (the first set of numbers) for the can “shave cream” variety. It looks like their own IT department were confused about “shave cream” and “cream shave”-
They both are two different products.  So, if you buy according to the wording/picture “cream shave” tube, no matter what, the manuf Q will beep. However, if you buy the can “shave cream”, you will notice that upc code first set match in both Q and the Q will not beep. The CVS Q seems to go for the can also without a beep.

Thus, you may either buy the right product the cream shave tube and educate the employee if issue arises or simply buy the can and the manuf Q will not beep on it.

      E)  If you NOT scan the card first in that transaction, then both Q will go just fine for the can. Regardless, the Q will beep for the actual correct item which is the tube.

      F) Regardless, always buy separate if you will be using alike CVS Qs on multiple products of the same.

I am typing it fast, so let me know if there is anything confusing. All above is fact for sure
