Do you know what the limit is for the spinbrushes? I know, unlike WAG, CVS usually limits you with 2 rather than 1 EC.

      • Lindsayhunton

after you buy 1 it will tell you on the bottom of the receipt if the limit has been met or not.

      • They’re on “clearance” so you probably can get as many as you want.  Usually the limit is with a ECB.

      • I bought two of the Thomas spin brushes today (they were $3.64 here, but I had a $2 q and with the 2 ECB’s it was still a good deal!).  At the bottom of my receipt it says Arm & Hammer Buy 1, Get 2 EB *Offer limit reached.  Sooo, in short: limit is two :)

I can never get SmartSource coupons to print on any browser. Chrome, Firefox, IE, all the latest versions notta. The latest java is updated, my printer is set to default. Any ideas?

      • Hingleytrio

I can’t get it to in Chrome so I use IE

      • I use Safari, it will not work on Chrome for me either.

      • Jamndoki

The Java is probably not “activated” correctly.  This was my problem.  I had to go on line to figure it out.  But it is in the tools on your browser tool bar.  :)  Wish I could give better directions.

        • Mychelboo

Do you have a link? I was not having any problems and then I did the Java update… Now I can’t print some Smart Source and no Red Plum, sometimes others. I have tried to fix it but Java does not show up in my tools even though I have re-installed it several times.

          • Angie C

from redplum support:We posted the following workaround to our Facebook page and it seems to get people printing again. I’d appreciate if you’d give it a try:
Windows users:First, close your internet browser (IE, Firefox, etc).Click the Start menu and select Control Panel. In Control Panel, select “Programs”, and then click “Java”. This opens the Java Control Panel. Under the “Temporary Internet Files” section, there is a button called “Settings”. Click this button. Another window pops up called “Temporary Files Settings”.Click the “Delete Files” button. This will not hurt your computer – you’re clearing out a bunch of older files you no longer need. When finished, close the Java Preferences windows. Restart your browser and try printing again.

    • Amy

I have a question about the ecb when they allow you to do 2. Do you have to do it in 2 seperate transactions or can you do it in the same and get the ecb for both?

      • It can be done in one transaction or in separate! :)

      • GreenvilleCouponer

You can do it in the same transaction, and it will print a $4 ECB instead of 2 $2 ECB’s

      •  You can do them together, they will just lump the ECB together.  So instead of (2) $2 rewards you’ll get one $4.

    • Drseusnc

I got a B1G1 free Candbury chocolate bar coupon from the red box. They are $2.19 each or 2 for $1.50. I got 2, they rang up at $1.50 each, and the coupon took off $2.19, making them both $0.81! That was a pretty good deal!

    • Birgit Gilbert

the $4 off $20 coupon didn’t print for me until I scanned my card for the second time either, but it also printed a $5 off $15 beauty purchase and I had a $5 ecb. I bought 20 dollars in Nexxus payed 7 dollars out of pocket and received 10 ecb back. Pretty good trip.

      does CVS double coupons?

    • Noelle8818

      (2) Colgate kids toothpaste
      (2) Colgate Max Fresh Toothpaste
      (1) Unreal Bar

I just got home from CVS they have the fruitopia shampoos on close out from 1.00 to .84 cents. This was great paired with my other stuff and got  to use the 4.00 off the 20.00 purchase,..

    • Sunflower_rn2003

My CVS had Colgate toothbrushes on clearance, they were the Fresh Clean I think 2 pack for 1.87 I had the 40 cent coupon and it still printed the $2 ECB that surprised me so I actually scored a moneymaker! Yay! then I used the 4 off of 20 on diapers and scored again a great deal after getting 4.50 off in manufacturer coupons, plus $4 off with the CVS coupon and then a $3 ECB I feel like i got some great deals!

      • Days1997

Went to CVS after reading post and bought 2 multipacks of THREE each colgate toothbrushes. They were the MED kind, and scanned $2.99 each…but NOT clearanced. (No clearance tag, didnt say clearance when scanned at red machine or on receipt, etc.  So, I bought two packs of three toothbrushes, UPC 035000555359.  Used two 40 cent off coupons, no problems.  Got NO EBS.  It didnt even track at the bottom of receipt.  Nothing.  Manager was even scratching head at why no EBS tracked or printed.  The ad said 2-4 count, and I took that dash to mean 2, 3, OR 4 count…but maybe CVS intended it to mean 2 OR 4 count only!!??  Does anyone know why this didnt work?  They forced an EB to cover, because they had no idea why it wouldnt work…but I myself am stumped…

    • Sg2984

      •  Sounds like you had a great trip!

    • brendam15010

hi me and my roommate both just started couponing so i’m still trying to
learn we both went to cvs and both got rewards coupons on our cards now
she doesn’t want her rewards for anything and gave it to me can i use
it with mine to buy another deal on something else?

      • Mary

No, all rewards and extra care coupons are attached to each card number (on the back).

        • brendam15010

           thank you

          • Raj

do you know her phone number … just give the cashier her phone number?  why doesn’t she want to use her ecbs ?

    • Maryebullock

Have a scenerio for people who gets SNAP benefits, however I do not want a big blowup about “things bought.” If you get 4) Pepsi Products 12 pks ($3 each) 2) General Millls cereals $1.99 each 5) CVS brand facial tissue (.88) Total before tax is $20.38. Use your $4/20, $1/2 General mills coupon, and if you use the Pepsi next coupons, then any ECBs you already have, I had a 2 dollar one. Then your snap benefits you would basically get the tissue free + tax.  I did this scenerio with the $4/20, $1/2, 2 ECBs, then
my snap benefit, paid cash of .25, and $13.98 w/ my  snap card, and got back 2 ecbs. My kids needed facial tissue for their school supplies, so this was good for me.

    • brendam15010

      • Dtcox1

I was disappointed yesterday when I went to CVS because the redbox machine was out of order…. The cashier said the coupons weren’t printing.  So when I was asking about if there was I way I could still get or use the 4/$20 coupon she just stared at me like I was stupid and said it wasn’t printing.

      • Dtcox1

i would have asked to see a manger causeit runs out through wed he told me if people dont use these they will stop giving these out.ps most of the time they dont say off anything ,,,,,,,

      • Jeanabrk

Call customer service. They can issue you one.

According to the sale signs these deals exclude clearance items. If you don’t get the ECB’s that’s why.

Had a great trip this week!! I got $181.38 worth of products for $31.47 OOP with $10 ECB! The reason my OOP was so high was because I bought Organix shampoo which is still printing the $5 ECB AND I ? their products and never have any coupons. But still a great trip as I saved 82% not considering the leftover ECB’s!

    • Dtcox1

had a great trip also just got 92.26 for 23.47 and got back 25.00 in bucks a free trip i love it  got mirlax candy and 4 nexxus 2 goodys hair .thanks jenny

      •  Glad to hear you had a great trip to CVS!

    • Dtcox1

      • CrazyMomOf11

I wish I got coupons like that. :)

        • Dtcox1

i get these about every three months at red box . ive started seeing this ..maybe new // i hope

      • Wow, happy shopping, indeed!  I’ve been getting the same coupons since Sunday (candy q’s and school supply q’s).  Wish it’d print the $3/15 beauty q for me!

    • Mewatts

I got (4) pepsi 12 pk, (3) of the Folgers coffee at $8.47 pre-tax. I know some probably get a better deal but I did not have all 4 dollar off q’s for the pepsi. So I used 2q’s for the pepsi and 2 q’s for the coffee, 4/20 and 5ecb. I think $1.27 per each item was a great deal for me!!!

    • LMM1978

had an issue at cvs today..was trying to use some rain checks & was told that i could not use my expired coupons that i had saved with my rain checks.  i have been couponer for about a year now and have used many rain checks with expired coupons because @ the time the rain check was written they were valid.. has this happened to anyone?  am i in the wrong?

      • Vrgreene

In the past cvs has honored their expired coupons with a raincheck but I have never had them honor an expired manu coupon

      • Ash

When I called the CVS Cust Service yesterday line, they said they would honor rain checks and expired coupons so long as they were valid at the time the rain check was written (which is what you said). So you’re right.

      • Ash

It even says it on their site (on the FAQ page):

        Q. What if I have a CVS/pharmacy coupon for the raincheck item? A. The raincheck will extend the CVS/pharmacy coupon expiration date. Both the CVS/pharmacy coupon and raincheck must be presented at time of purchase. The raincheck will be attached to the CVS/pharmacy coupon by store personnel.

Question: Can I use the $4/20 and a $3/15 beauty purchase? Didn’t know if the “beauty purchase” makes it a different type of coupon than a $/$$ coupon. Thanks!

      • Parkerfamily64

I used both with no problem.

    • Beccanandy

i got my thomas the train spin brush for my nephew at 1.37 before the 2.00 coupon so guess what?? his was absolutly free plus overage AND i got the 2.00 reward!!!! score!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Lu

Does anyone know how long it takes for the beauty club totals to start showing up on your receipt? (I just started CVSing.) I can see “summer spending,” but I’m not getting the beauty spending countdowns I read about…

      • CrazyMomOf11

I think I read on the CVS site that it takes about 48 hours to update.

        • Soberkitty

Make sure you signed up for the beauty club it’s not automatic!

    • Richable

What do you mean when you say $2.00 profit? Do you get some sort of refund? Or does it go towards the total purchase? For example, if your total after coupons is $6.00 does it take $2.00 off leaving it $4.00 oop?

      • Lu

She means the coupon makes the toothbrush free so no oop and you get 2 eb at the end, which is the profit she speaks of. It won’t apply to  the current purchase but to the next one you spend the eb on

        • Richable

          Thank you : )

        • Richable

          Thank you : )

      • Krysta

No, i think she means you get it all free, but you also recieve $2 extra care bucks.

Has anybody done the $10 Olay product rebate? It says that if you spend $30, you get $10 mail-in rebate. Is that before or after coupons? Thank you!

      • Sheila_P

You have to reach $30 before coupons.

    • Din330

i went to cvs yesterday and they won’t let me use my $4 off $20 with my $5 off $15 beauty coupon. the cashier said i have to purchase $35 worth of products in order to use both coupons. my total was $21. from what i’m reading in the comments here, people seem to be able to use both coupons without any problems. was she wrong then? can i contact corporate to rectify the situation?

      • Din330

         any help is appreciated! thanks!

      • Bstarr1221

Same thing happened to me. I don’t think the cashiers did the right thing. In the past I have used both.

      • Sheila_P

According to the official CVS coupon policy, if you have multiple $/$$ coupons in one transaction (regardless if they are generic or for specific products), you have to satisify the requirements of all of the coupons in order to use them.  In your case, yes, you would have to buy $35 worth.  The registers will beep if you didn’t buy enough.  However, some managers are allowing the coupons to be stacked and will override it.  In this case, I would ask around at the stores in your area if any will accept the stack.  No one in my area (Maryland) will allow it.

        • Din330

thank you for the detailed explanation. i will ask around the stores in my area. thanks!

    • Had another good CVS run today :)  I won a free box of drumstick ice cream cones from Nestle’s FB page and they sent me that q this week, so I decided to pair it with the CVS sale/ECB deal on ice cream novelties:

      (2) boxes of Nestle Drumsticks
      (1) box of Edy’s fruit bars
      (2) Colgate MaxFresh toothpaste 6 oz
      (2) twin packs of Colgate Soft Full Head tooth brushes (on clearance for .99 but still printed $2ECB’s! Number on top is 202 if you go look for them.)
      **Subtotal: $18.98
      (1) $1.00 off Edy’s Fruit Bars MQ
      (1) $1.00 off Nestle Ice Cream Novelties MQ
      (1) FREE Nestle’s Drumsticks 4 pk MQ
      (2) .40 off any Colgate toothbrush MQ
      (2) .50 off Colgate toothpaste MQ
$12 ECB’s from last shopping trip
**Total: .23 cents OOP and received $12 ECB’s back!

I’m forming a serious CVS habit here lol.  I can’t wait to see what new deals come out every week! ;)

    • Bari_lee

I had no problem with using the $5 Beauty and the $4 off $20 at all in Tallahassee (where they understand coupons) I think the trick was to run the $4 off coupon before the beauty coupon. I purchased the Neutrogena Microdermabrasion system and got my glade products for next to nothing.

      • Jlaleonard

What was the glade products deal?

    • Shelby

I got four thomas and friends toothbrushes for $0.66 (tax) and got $8 back! (using two cards) What a fun moneymaker!
