 cvs deal

Here’s a fun CVS deal where you can get some FREE Neutrogena products and a FREE tote!

Through 5/10, you’ll receive $10 in ECB when you buy (3) Neutrogena facial care, sun care, sunless, or personal cleaning items and you’ll also receive a FREE tote (a $9.99 value) when you purchase those three items! Lots of stores are including the Neutrogena facial cleansing bars at $3.29 each, so check your store to see what products they have on sale.

CVS Deal:

Buy:
(3) Neutrogena Facial Cleansing Bars, 3.5 oz, $3.29
Pay: $9.87

Get Back: $10 ECB

Makes it FREE, plus you’ll get a FREE tote!

If you’ll be buying other products, you can check out the Neutrogena coupons available by searching the coupon database.

Heads Up: Some folks are finding that there stores are refusing to sell the bars… this is definitely a deal that will work for some and not work for others.

That’s a shame — I just browsed the deal on CVS’s website and it lists all of the products included in the deal — including the facial bars. Not sure if that can be printed, but it seems that if the website says it’s included, local stores should honor it, as well.

      • JL

The website states that bar soap is excluded.

        • Sarah Rossi

It is listed in my weekly ad as part of the deal so it may just depend on your area.

      • JUGrad

Our add (FL) has the bars in the picture and my web has the pic. Nothing says excludes facial bars. I’m thinking that this was a manager that decided that.

    • Angela Birchfield Farnell

Do they give you the tote at the register?

      • VP22

I had to ask the cashier. She knew nothing about it but she went in the back and found them.

    • JL

Just looked at the website and it says it excludes bar soap.

      • Kristina

My weekly ad on the CVS site shows the bars listed under this deal. Has anyone tried this? I don’t see any coupons though for the bar soap.

        • staceyhamrick

It works, they do keep the bags behind the register. There wasn’t signs on any of the Neutrogena but it will work up to 4 times.

I did this deal yesterday with the bar soap (I live in AL). I didn’t use a coupon, but there is a $2 of $8 soap coupon from the CVS machine that I think could be used. The ad says limit of one, but my receipt states that I have 4 products towards the reward and need 2 for the next reward. It counted the bag as an item toward the ECB. I’ve seen others post on other sites that they’ve done the deal several times. The problem is finding a store with 3 bars. Most employees seem unaware of the deal. The manager at my store went in the back to look for the bags for me. They ring up the bag, and the price of the bag comes off before your total.

        • Kristina

          Thank you!

      • VP22

Where did you see that listed? I am looking at the CVS website on the deal, where it shows all items that work towards the reward and it has pictures of the bar soap with no mention of them being excluded. I don’t know if something changed since yesterday but I did the deal, bought 3 soaps and the ECB printed.

I went to my CVS yesterday and:
      1) I was able to purchase the bars toward the deal,
      2) There are no coupons for the bars, however, I had a $4 off $15 in facial cleansers, etc. CVS coupon plus a $1 off Neutrogena Pore Refining cleanser coupon so I used that.
      3) My CVS did not have the tote bags and had no idea about the bag even when I showed the guy the circular. So instead, he gave me a reusable CVS bag which is fine by me.
      4) All total: I got 2 Neutrogena bars ($3.39 each) & 1 Pore Refining Cleanser ($9.29) = $16.07; I used the $4/$15 facial cleanser CVS coupon + $1 manufacturers coupon which brought it down to $11.07 (+.78 in tax) = $11.85. With the $10 ECB that brought it down to $1.85 plus I got the reusable CVS bag. Maybe it’s not worth $9.99 like the Neutrogena tote, but I still felt like I got a good deal, especially since the pore refining cleanser is a great product!

At least they gave you a substitute! =) I went to 2 CVS’s and no totes! They just told me they didn’t receive them. Wonder why some stores got it and others didn’t.

    • dbb

It was listed in my weekly ad. The store display said “no soap”. I bought the 3 soaps $3.79 each, and the Neutrogena bag (in the display). I got the $10 ECB and the free bag.

    • Erin

I did this deal yesterday by purchasing the bar soap. My store didn’t have the totes, so they gave me $5 ECB as a substitute (so I received a total of $15 ECB by buying $9.60 worth of product). Worked well for me since I wasn’t interested in the tore anyway.

    • jessica

The bar soap worked fine for me, too :) I got 3 @ $3.19 each, and used a $2 off $8 facial cleanser cvs redbox q. I wasn’t even going to mention the tote, was happy enough with the deal, but the girl said to me that they were out of totes and would just print me a $10 ecb since that’s their value! Awesome MM deal! Also, my receipt says I can do that deal 3 more times, I may be tempted to do it again tomorrow :)

    • pjvsaver

no bars were left in my store, but I used the deal for make up remover, the towelettes and the visibly even BB cream. I used 2 mfc coupons a 3 ECB from last week, the $10 off $30 CVS store coupon.
I spent $21 OOP got $10 ECB back, the tote bag, and another $3 from CHECKOUT51 app. I am gonna try again for bars on saturday after their shipment comes in

    • Never_Speechless

I had a 30% off coupon. They refused to take it for this. The items are full price but they said the ECB is a promotion so they would not even try to scan it for me. I bought 3 full size products totally 27.00 before coupons and ended up paying 17.67 but should have been 30% less. Will call coperate and try to get the 30% through them. If not I will be returning the entire purchase of $18.00. They did NOT have the free totes either.
