My Grand Plan. This is my plan for our purchases this week, it is using the coupons that I have and is mostly to show you an example of making a scenario and how to roll ECB’s.

This week I have a $10 of $50 CRT (coupon that prints on your receipt) to use!!

Buy:
(1) Rogaine Foam $19.99
(2) AXE Shower Gel $5 ea
(1) Cottonelle Moist Wipes $5.98, get $3 ECB
(2) CVS Allergy Relief $3.79 ea
(4) Excedrin Migraine $1.99 ea
Sub Total: $51.51
Use:
(1) $10 off $50 CRT
(1) -$15 off Rogaine printable
(2) -$1.50 off AXE printable
(1) -.50/1 off Cottonelle Wipes
(4) -$2 off Excedrin Migraine printables
Total Due: $15.01 pay with $8 ECB, $6 ECB, and $1.01 cash
Get Back: $18.58 ECB
($5, $3, $3, $7.58)

Total Value: $51.51
Total out of pocket: $1.01 plus tax

Just for the record, no we do not need Rogaine in our house. It makes a great filler to get to the $50 level to use the CRT. I have no doubt that we can find someone who needs/wants this. That is one of the joys of couponing is the free things you get to share!!

For more stores that Southern Savers doesn’t cover check out the grocery gathering at BeCentsAble.

    • Please tell me what the $50.00 CRT is for CVS.

    • Jenny

It is a coupon that prints on your receipt at CVS. Each person gets different coupons so you may get a $4 off $20 purchase or $3 off $15 or you may just get coupons for $1 off a certain product. You have to use your Extracare to get them to print when you check out.

    • Lane

What about using the $3 off a CVS product with you purchase of the CVS Allergy Relief ($3.79 ea)?

    • Jenny

You can if you shop on Saturday, but the coupon expires on Saturday so it probably won’t work for most people. (I probably will go on Saturday and will use it but didn’t want to confuse too many folks.)

    • Great sneak peek on the deals!! The Rogaine made me giggle. :)

GOOD CVS COUPONS! $5 off of 30, $ off of 0 and $3 off of 15

    • Sarah

Also, I spoke with the Manager at our local CVS and she said that we could use a Rite Aid Coupon with a CVS Coupon as follows:
$5 off of a 25.00 purchase from Rite Aid, $5 off of a $30 purchase from CVS if your total before coupons equaled $55.00 You could save more off of your grand plan above! instead of 15 oop before ECBS, you could have only 10 or 5!

    • I think I read somewhere that you could use the Reese Whipps coupons $1/2 and the store will be having a sale 2/$1. So they would be free AND you could use them towards your hershey gift card.

Jenny, is CVS going to be having a diaper sale anytime soon?

    • Jenny

Just so everyone knows the coupons above from iheartcvs.com are card specific so they will beep when you try to use them. The cashier can push them through, but it’s won’t be a seamless coupon.

    • Jenny

Bethany starting in the 1/25 ad:
Huggies buy $20 get $5 ECB back, they will be $10 per pack.
Buy 2, Use 2 -$1.50 off coupons makes it $6 a pack after ECB.

    • You Rock!!! Thanks for gett’n er done early!!1

    • Haley

The email about the Pepsi deals shows the Starbucks, do you think it will be included?

    • Karen

Yah! I’m so happy about the Rogaine! My poor mother just finished chemo and radiation, and her hair is not growing back like it should. She will be so happy about this deal because this stuff is expensive and her medical expenses have been outrageous. The Rogaine is barely affordable.

Thank you so much for posting this! My mom will be so happy. She wants her hair back!

    • Lynn

Jenny I haven’t been getting any of the $/$ coupons that prin at the register in a long time. Do you know who I need to contact about that or is there a specific amount you have to spend before you get them?

    • Shannon

Thanks so much for your website, I am saving a ton at Publix here in the Atlanta area. I have been looking for the free giftcard coupons for new prescriptions. I have a couple for different stores for transfers but none for a new prescrip.

      Thanks!

    • Deborah

      Jenny –

Thanks so much as you have really helped me figure out a deal for this week. I was lost on the old website I was using and Haley shared your info. with me and I am so happy she did. Thanks again!

    • Jenny

Lynn, I hadn’t gotten a $/$$ coupon in ages. They just randomly print so it is whenever the machine likes you. I also never get them in my email like some folks. My coupons are always for $ off certain products. And always for products that I don’t want!

      Go figure.

    • Jessica

In some regions the Pepsi deal is five 8 packs (not 12 packs) for $10; you still get the buy $20, get $10 ECB deal. Both deals come out to the same price per can.

    • btw sam’s has off brand rogaine for a good price too!

    • Haley

Here is what I did today:
      —–Trans #1——

      2 CVS allergy $3.79
      1 Nasagel $7.99
      1 Starbucks drink $1.67

      Total $17.05
      Less $2 Nasagel
      3/15

      $12.05
      Paid with $10 ECB & $2.05 cash
      Got $7.58–>goes to Trans #3; $7.99->goes to Trans #2
      $1.63 towards Pepsi deal

      ——-Trans #2———

      1 Nasagel $7.99
      2 Starbucks drinks $3.33

      Total $11.22
      Less $2 Nasagel
$9.22 Paid w/$7.99 ECB from above and $1.33 cash

      Got $7.99 ECB–>goes to Trans #3
      $5 total towards Pepsi deal

      ——Trans #3——–

      5 bags of chips @$3= $15
      3 99¢ HM cards= $2.97

      Total $17.97
      Less 3/15
$14.97 paid with ECB from above, needed 60¢ filler (candy bar for 50¢ lost 10¢).

Got $10 Pepsi ECB; $3 Hallmark ECB

So total oop was $3.38+ a few pennies in tax (tax after coupons in my area). Came with $10 ECB and left with $13.00 ECB.

Did something close to this on another card but already had the Nasagel so was a bit more oop on that round. Also will make $6 on Nasagel rebate. So overall a mm today and I needed every item I left the store with (which may be a first). My Dad uses the Nasagel, so I will spend a few $ to mail it to him. Woo Hoo! It was a good day.

    • Lynn

Thanks Jenny! I just thought it was me because I had taken a break from cvsing. Thanks again for all you do!

    • Jessica

What do you do when the store does not have an item that is advertised in the sales flier? I went to three different CVS stores here yesterday morning, and none of them had the Cottonelle 20 roll packs, only smaller packs not on sale. I checked the flier at the front of the store, and all had the deal advertised on the front page. I didn’t bother to talk to the manager because the stores were crazy busy, but I’m going back tomorrow. I really need some toilet paper ;).

    • Jenny

You can try to get them to give you a rain check if they think they will ever get that item in stock. That particular deal is hard because most stores don’t regularly sell that size package of toilet paper so they might never get it in stock. I would at least talk to the manager and complain. See what they can do for you…

    • Gail

I tried printing the Rogaine coupon and it said there were no prints left on this campaign. Do you know if there is another link?

      Thank you.

    • Jenny

Odds are it is very dead. I will look around some but the CVS shoppers out there probably printed this one out really fast!

    • I got 6 12 packs yesterday, 14 Reeses whipps and 1 bag of chips for 8.10 oop!

      Good week for CVS!

    • Wanda

I found out by accident today that if you buy 3 American Greetings cards, you get $3 ECBs — I just happened to buy 3 $.99 cards — so, I made $.03 on that deal! Woo-hoo!

    • Jenny

Thanks Wanda, I added it to the list!!

    • bethany

well since the rogaine coupon is dead I didnt fare as well as I had planned but did ok…spent $26 oop (I had no ECBs) but got back 29.98 in ECB’s so overall not too bad = next week better watch out bc i’m seriously prepared with ECB’s!

    • Amanda

Anyone know where I can find Rx transfer coupons (like for a gift card with transfer) for CVS like the ones for Rite-Aid?

    • Jenny

Amanda – currently I don’t think there are any coupons that are out for CVS. You can get one occasionally to print on your receipt at CVS.

The best thing to do though, is to take a Rite Aid coupon for one to CVS and they will honor any competitor pharmacy coupon.

    • Amanda

Thanks. I didn’t know they did that! Saves me some waiting for one from CVS!

    • If anyone has the CVS Zantac CRT ($2 off) & the $5 Mail-in-Rebate from the 11/9 SS, the Zantac 75 is a $0.53 moneymaker (with $1.50 mfg coupon from 11/9ss) and the Zantac 150 is a $0.03 moneymaker (with $1.00 mfg coupon from 11/9ss). I told a friend and she scanned her card on Monday and got the CRT so it’s still available. I seem to get a lot of CRTs for Zantac, Benefiber, etc. Finally one I can use!

    • Brittany

I was inspired by the site today… went to CVS and made 3 transactions for sale items I had coupons for…

      #1
      3 American Greetings cards @ .99

      = $3.18 OOP
      w/ $3 ECB

      #2
      1 Cottonelle 12pk @ 7.40 *

      – $3 ECB from #1
      = $4.70 OOP
      w/ $2 ECB

      #3
      2 Puffs Tissues @ .99-.25
      1 Colgate Total Whitening @ 3.49- .75

      – $2 ECB from #2
      = 2.46 OOP
      w/ $1 ECB

      * Cottonelle 12pk w/$2 ECB was substitution for lack of Cottonelle 20pk w/$4 ECB.

      Total Value: 22.00
      Total Saved: 11.66 (53%)
      Total OOP: 10.34
      Total ECB Remaining: $1

    • Brittany

JESSICA- I just saw your post. At my store, they had no 20pks Cottonelle. They substituted 12pk Cottonelle for $7.40 sale price, and gave $2 ECB with it.

    • The Rogaine coupon has been reset. I printed it this morning.

    • JennyG

Can you use ECB from another card with your transaction? My mom doesn’t use her ECB sometimes (I Know!), so could I use them without having her card to scan before I checked out?
