At long last here are the CVS deals that start tomorrow. Thanks to the nice person who doesn’t know I’m borrowing their internet for letting me post these… This is not a wonderful week at CVS but there are a few things if you have ECB’s expiring and need to use them. (The following week 5/24 has numerous free things so maybe it’s time to take a week off.)

This is ad is for most of the country. Florida and other select regions will have a different ad.

Go here to see the full ad scan.

If you are new to CVS start by reading a getting started guide.

Where do you go to get the Purex coupon? I’ve tried several different ways on the website and can’t seem to find it. I’ve even went through the send to a friend coupon and didn’t get it. What am I doing wrong?

    • Lynn-
I haven’t seen that one for a whie…if you are talking about the bOGO purex. the best ZIP code to always try for good coupons is 90211..Sorry I am with Jenny…stay home this week and look out for next weeks unless you just gotta spend you ECB’s.

    • tonya

      more toothpaste and deodorant???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ughhhhhh

    • I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to do the Dry Idea deal yet. I am going to pick up the popcorn and sunflower seeds and do that deal. That will make perfect snack food for up at the lake and it couldn’t be better timing since I just received all of those coupons in the mail!!

    • Julia

Has anyone tried to do next week deals the Saturday before they start? If you did, did the ECB still print?

    • Sarah

One CVS near me puts up the next week’s sale items on Saturday, I’ve gotten both week’s sales and ECBs at the same time. Another one by me doesn’t do it that way.

    • Cori

Julia, yes, my CVS starts them on Saturday after 12 noon. It is not open 24 hours. I hear the ones that are open 24 hours start after 6 pm on Saturday. Yes, the ECBs print.

    • Lauren

I live in Southern California, and there are NO ECB deals in this weeks nor last weeks circular… or am I just missing them? Does anyone know a website geared toward the West Coast? Once my husband gets out of the Marine Corps and we move back to Kentucky, then this site will be my main resource!

      • Jenny

Lauren odds are you are followign the Florida ad this week. That is the other regional ad that some areas across the nation are following. Sorry.

    • Lauren

UGHH!!! I just searched my Kentucky hometown circular and they have all the ECB stuff, well I always knew the south was better, but this just proves it ughh.. California’s circular has no ECB deals… Does anyone know if my mom send me her circular if it would work if I showed it out here?

    • Christie

At my CVS, on saturdays you get both weeks ads, deals and ECB’s. Last weekend had back to back Coke specials…so on Saturday the coke’s were 5/$13 (new ad) (instead of 5/$20) and still printed $10 ECB if bought $20 worth of products.(old ad) So I got (5) 12 pks of Cokes and 2 bags of M&M’s plus something else (don’t remember what!) and used the coke coupons, plus ECB’s from previous week and pd $5, got $10 ECB. Awesome.

    • Brandi

I think I will be going JUST for the Dry Idea deal and the B1G1 Estroven…I have to but the Estroven anyways, so mght as well get it even cheper! Oh an the Purex deal…but I am not breaking my neck this week going to lots of CVS’s…

    • Susan

My CVS does the same thing as Christie’s – back to back ads overlap on Saturday evening. I also got 12-pks of Coke at 5/$13 and still got the $10 ECBs when I bought $20 of products. The difference for me was that I didn’t know that was what was happening until my husband came home Saturday night from CVS with the 5 pks of Coke I sent him to buy, but no ECB’s (since the cost for the 5 pks was now only $13, not $20). I almost had a cow! Fortunately, my CVS manager is great, he explained what happened, let me buy a 2 more pks of Coke so I could get my $10 ECB. I think I figured my final cost was $.64 per 12-pk!

    • I have enough toothpaste and deodorant to sink a ship ! CVS is sure getting stingy on their free after ECB’s…they won’t see me this week either !

    • Allison

Do y’all know of any way to look at the circulars ahead of time, so we can start planning for next week? I’m looking to get a LOT of sunscreen and wonder if there will be deals next time. My ECB’s expire 5/28 and I think I’m with y’all on sitting this week out. Just didn’t want to use up any coupons I might need for next week.

    • I’m with you. I may just skip CVS all together. Maybe we’ll get lucky and hear about a hidden deal this week. Thankfully I don’t have any ECBs that expire until next week. Yes, usually new prices start on Saturday by 6pm. I’m always a little leary of trying it, but if you have a price scanner, you can check prices to be sure.

    • Jason

Went to a CVS in the West Columbia/Lexington area and didn’t find any of the Dry Idea on sale. Decided to go to the CVS that is a little farther away and I knew would have the Dry Idea deo. To my luck it was on clearance for 1.12. Their were only 6 left and I used 3 coupons at 2.00 each and 1 coupon at .72 to bring my total down to tax only of .47. So for .47 cents I’ve got 6 things of deo I’ll never use and 6.00 ECBs for later.

    • Amy

If anyone needs make-up don’t skip CVS this week. A lot of their make-up is up to 75% off. Use that with coupons and you’ll get a lot, for a very little price. Not sure if all CVS stores have this deal or not. I really needed some, so I was happy. Thanks for this website. I’ve never saved so much in my life!!

    • Honey

I was going to get the cover girl lipgloss because I had a $2 coupon (maybe from Better Homes or some other magazine?), but I saw the cheapie lipgloss clearanced for 1/2 price ($1.50) I decided to skip that deal and get the $1.50 kind. Also my cvs was out of Kashi bars. So I just bought some albacore tuna and did the dry idea deal. And two Symphony candy bars (b1g1f), but let’s not tell anyone:)-in case they disappear or something…And I doubt I’ll go back for anything else unless a super deal is worked out in the blogosphere and/or spectacular printables magically appear…

    • Hi Jenny,
My daughter moved to Tulsa,OK. Is there a website like yours there? Thanks! Brenda

    • shan

Ok I am new to this….when you have ecb bucks to use for a purchase do you have to bring the receipt in that it printed on?

      • Jenny

You do have to save the reciept (or at least the part that it is printed on).

    • Michele

Is there a formula for knowing when a $5 off $25 purchase will print? I did the Dry Idea and the Johnson’s Q-tip deals with coupons, paid $2.51 OOP, received the 4 ECB’s I was expecting, but a $5 off $25 also printed. I jumped for joy as I now have Q-tips to last for the next 5 years and 9 ECB’s going into next week! Thanks to all for your knowledge and tips – you are really helping a new couponer!

    • Kelly

    • Rebecca

If the CVS is out of a product that is on sale where you get ECB’s back after purchase, will they give a raincheck for the sale price and still print out ECB’s even after the weekly sale is over? So many times I have gone into CVS to get something and they have not had it, so I didn’t know if I asked for a rain check if they would still allow me to get the ECB’s as well if I go back the next week to get it. Thanks so much!!

    • Julie Ann

Rebecca- yes, there is a place on the CVS raincheck for ECB. I usually take my ad to the cashier to make it faster for them to write it up.

    • Rebecca

      Thanks Julie Ann!

    • Lana

Okay, to answer a few questions people have….. California and Nevada are not doing ECB deals all month of May due to the Long/CVS conversion. Also, you can see ads ahead of time at http://www.iheartcvs.com Hope that helps!

    • Tamara

Hey I am new at this but in the add the air wick ultra freshmatics are on sale for $5.99 (reg. 12.99) and there is a $4 q on the homesolutionsnews.com site makes them a $1.99!

    • Kristy

I went there tonight and they only had one “dry idea” left so I got that & used the coupon on it and I got a right guard so I got the $2 ECB… plus I had taken advantage of the free 50 photos for mother’s day so I came home with 50 pictures & 2 deodorants for $2.20 (with tax)… my first successful trip. Hoping to be able to keep up with these deals every week now!

    • Gwenn

I noticed that a lot of you have been buying lots of toothpaste and deodorant and don’t know what to do with it. I know of a wonderful ministry that shares these type of items and many more with needy children around the world. Check out their website http://www.samaritanspurse.org and click on Operation Christmas Child.

    • david

what about Hershey’s Extra Large Bars BOGO $1.99 (may or may not be part of the ECB deal)
Buy 2 and use 2 $1/1 coupons from the 4/19 SS insert
      FREE after coupons

    • Lani

I’m so irritated!!! I got a flyer in the mail weeks ago w/ 2 $25 w/ RX transfer coupons. I finally went to use it today and she refused to give it to me because she said it was only mailed to people with a CVS card (I don’t have one but was going to get one to use w/ my $25 gift card). I don’t know why I got it in the mail and it doesn’t say anything on the coupon about it being only for current CVS cardholders, but she made me feel like I was trying to scam them! I am going to talk to the manager- I would have but I had already waited 15 minutes in the drive-thru for the prescription to be filled (even though I took it in at 7 hours earlier!!) and had my 2 kids with me. But tomorrow…….

    • JEB

This is not an ECB item, but the Dole Fruit Bowls are 3/$5. In June issue of Better Homes and Gardens, there is a coupon–$1 I think, for this.

    • Virginia

Lani – those coupons are not just for current cardholders, they are intended to get customers in the store. I’ve gotten them before addressed to my husband ‘or current resident.’ I’ve heard that sometimes the stores will have them to just give to people too, although that doesn’t happen very often.

Anyway, you can get a nice shiny brand-new CVS card up at the register – they have them available to hand out to customers that don’t have one yet. They may or may not require you to fill out the application, but even so it only takes a minute. Then you’ll have a card to use when you redeem your coupon.

    • Virginia

Michele – there is no way to know when a $/$$ coupon is going to print or why. It is either random or CVS might have some kind of system based on purchase habits. You don’t just buy a specific item and *poof* you get a $/$$ coupon. That would be really nice though. LOL A lot of people have been getting $/$$ coupons this week that may not have gotten any in a long time, probably CVS’s way of trying to get our Memorial Day shopping business.

    • Virginia

Lynn – the Purex coupon was only available for a couple of days. That campaign reached it’s print limit very very quickly.

    • Virginia

oops sorry I thought we were talking about the BOGO Purex coupon. IDk what’s up with the 0.50 one.

    • tonyac

I have only been doing small cvs transactions so far but next week is a good week and I really want to take advantage of it. I was told that they will accept a rite aide $5.00 off $25.00 coupon and also accept Walgreens RR. Ok for my first transaction I plan on purchasing 7 items with 5 Man.Q’s, and use the rite aide coupon, 3 RR from WG and of course My CVS ECBs. My question is this, since The combined coupon total is 9 (since Walgreens RR counts as coupons,) and I only have 7 items, will this work or will I need to throw in 2 fillers? Still not too sure what CVS’s policy is on the amount of coupons vs. items.

    • HaleyB

Tonyac- It is my understanding that each coupon needs an item to “attach” to, so you would need 2 fillers. I ran into it about a year ago on a deal, and I did need to find a filler item (pencils used to be the cheapest way to go).

CVS sent me another $5/$25 coupon for this weekend.

    • HaleyB

To clarify, CVS emailed me a $5/$25.

    • petsites

I have two coupons for V8 $1 off, combined with $2 ECB on 2 purchased, would this not be a good deal?

    • Virginia

tonyac – CVS’s policy is that they allow 1 manufacturer’s coupons AND 1 CVS coupon per item. At most you may need 1 filler since Wag’s RRs are manufacturer’s coupons. Since the RA coupon is a competitor’s coupon and will not scan (CVS’s register will not recognize a store coupon for another store), they will most likely just manually enter it as a CVS coupon for $5, so since you are not using any other CVS coupons in the order it should not be a problem. To clarify, that would mean that you would have 8 manufacturer’s coupons (5 for specific items and then 3 RR) and 1 competitors coupon which will most likely be entered as a CVS coupon. 8 manufacturer’s coupons means you need 8 items.

Wag’s does make you have the 1 item per coupon, but CVS is a little different since the register will allow 1 CVS coupon and 1 manufacturer’s coupon per item. It’s nice since it means you generally need fewer fillers at CVS. :)

    • tonyac

Thanks Virginia and Haley B :)
