There are two fun deals at CVS that many folks are finding right now!!

First the magic coupon machine (aka Coupon Center) is printing a coupon for a number of folks for $5.99 off Cortaid.  The regular tube costs $5.99… that makes it FREE.  If you want to make money throw in this manufacturer coupon:

-$1 off Cortaid product RP 6/10 or  printable

The second deal to grab is on Nivea Creme Tins.  They are regularly 99¢ each, but lots of you have found that when you buy one of them the register is printing a $2 Extra Care Buck!  The limit appears to be 4, so enjoy an easy money maker!

See all the other deals at CVS this week.

        • Evanslind

It is the red machine located just beyond the door at CVS.  You scan your CVS card there and store coupons print out that you can stack with a manufacturer coupon.  Make sure to scan your card over and over until it says “no more coupons available”.  Hope this helps.

    • January42003

I went to CVS today to get a few deals and scanned my card at the red box at it said “no coupons, come back tomorrow”. :(  Looks like no free cortaid or Nivea creme for me. My husband is an assistant manager at CVS, guess no love for the employees other than his discount. Can’t complain there. :)

      • pamgam

You don’t need a coupon for the nivea tins.  If you purchase the Nivea tins it gives you $2 Extra Care Bucks for each tin you buy up to a total of 4 tins.

      • Soberkitty

the Nivea cream isn’t a coupon or do you not get ECB’s since you are an employee spouse?

        • jenjav

employees get ECBs just like everyone else. we also get 20% off many regular priced items and 30% off cvs branded items but no discount on sale items

    • Meupup

i just went to cvs and got  the 4 MM niveas great trip today

      • Meupup

didnt give the cortaid, but was a great  trip!!

    • Jessdare101

where r the nivea tins located?

      • Evanslind

They are where the regular Nivea lotions are down the lotion isle, just on the top shelf.

    • Peg

I got the Cortaid coupon too but they were out at two CVS stores yesterday afternoon.  The cashier said they can’t give rainchecks on coupons.

      • Crownstar

My CVS substituted the CVS anti itch cream since they were out of Cortaid.  You may want to try that.  But I did see the cashier give a rain check for the coupon.

      • Judi

My CVS also would not write a raincheck for a coupon.  I know they won’t get more in before my coupon expires.  I checked with four stores and they were all out by 12:45pm

    • Onlyme

i got the nivea tin paid 0.99 and got 2 ECB,you better hurry before they pull it out!

    • DR

My CVS substituted the CVS brand for the Cortaid brand and since we have earn $2 ECB on $7 of CVS First Aid…I was able to add bandaids for $2.77 to the deal and got $2 ECB back! Spent .77 on the bandaids and Cortaid total!

    • LuvCpns

I got my 4 Nivea today. I love MM’ers. Thanks for the post

    • Brencoup

Blairsville cvs already out of nivea tins

    • Caroline

I got the last Nivea at one store, then went to another to get three more.  No coupon printed for me for Cortaid, bummer.  I also didn’t get my quarterly ECB but it makes me wonder if I didn’t spend enough in the spring to get any.  I try to just roll my ECB, not spend much oop.

    • tina

i did not get the cortaid coupon but i did get 3 niveas!!!!!!!!!!!! awesome day. thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • guest

The cortaid is a coupon that is printing from the big red machine.  Try it again.  I got mine the second time I tried to use my card.

    • Brandi

My cvs in commerce ga had the nivea  tins but they didnn’t print any ecbs back :(

    • Soberkitty

Wish I’d had the dollar coupon for the cortaid. It was $6 something at mine and the coupon was only good up to $5.99. So I think I wound up paying like .45 cents on it or something! But oh well printing it now just in case it spits out another one or gives one to my Mom when I take her. always good to be prepared.

    • My cvs trip today was awesome!
      Before $148.47
      After $12.95!!!!!
      AND $12.00 in Extra Bucks!
I got H&S, Niva,  lots of Physicans Formula Make up, and some other odds and ends!

    • Debi12167

I have 5 cvs’s around me and NONE of them had the cortaid but… they substituted CVS brand for it and then  I just bought cheap cvs bandaids and got 2ecb’s back also..

Also, look on the physician’s formula makeup for $3 peelies. I got about 10 PH lipglosses for free with the sale (9.99 reg price but 2.99 after $7 off then minus the $3 coupon)  FREE..

    • mel

Got my Nivea in Mt. Pleasant, SC (: Never tried this before. I did get my  free cortaid the other day as well. Got a bunch of Physicians formula stuff too. 49 cents for the felt tip eyeliner and 79 cents for concealer and matte quad eyeshadows. all counting towards beauty & the gas card promotion (:

    • Britt

I just got back from two CVS stores. At the first store, they were sold out of the tins, but the manager knew about the 2 ECB when I asked about it. I went to another CVS, and I got 4 tins, but no bucks. So I made a return, tried the other .99 cream moisturizer, and no bucks.

    • Mcclellanda79

I was able to get in on both deals. On Sunday, I got the free Cortaid coupon but my store was out of stock. I went to another local store today (Pelzer SC) & purchased one Cortaid (last one) & 4 Nivea Tins. Paid $4.?? Oop and received $8 ecbs. If anyone is in my area, the store still had a box and a half of the tins left (probaby more than 15). Not sure if the deal is still going or not though. I would try to purchase one first just to check.

    • Aprilinhwv

I am in Richmond VA and the ecb did not print today when I bought the Nivea tins.

    • Baja_girl_80

Im in Bonaire Georgia, the nivea tins did not print the EB, and the coupon machine did not print the Cortaid.

      • My2girlz

Baja……..I am in Eastman, Ga. and trying to find ANY coupon workshops in the area. Do you know of any?  Thanks!!!

        • CouponPrincess

I am in the south atlanta area and would be willing to talk to you about a coupon workshop. I have been couponing for 3 years and following SS forever. You can email me at jcasey1058@charter.net if you are still looking for something.

          • Schushops

I also live in Middle GA and would like a class

thanks for responding CouponPrincess. I’m sending you an email now for further information.

    • AliYou

Houston, TX EB’s are not printing. I went to two stores and no EB’s good thing I do use the cream because I spent $4 :(

    • Cwalkermarie

Brandon MS did print the bucks for nivea. That was around 1 today.

    • Sheila0304

went to CVS in Florida and bought 4 nivea tins but it didn’t kick out the
ECB’s so i returned it!! No coupon for the cortaid either, bummer. May try another store tomorrow.

      • Judi

I noticed that there was two sizes in the Nivea tins.  One was 1 oz and the other .84 oz.  Not sure which one was giving out the ECB.

    • AM

Tampa, FL – did not printing ECBs for Nivea at my store.

      • AM

    • Kyle

Does anyone know if CVS will give me a rain check for the Nivea even though it’s not advertised in the weekly ad?

      • Guest

The Nivea $2 ECB is part of the July 1-28 ECBs.

It was a programming error to include the trial/travel size tins. The error was corrected this afternoon and the ECBs stopped printing for the trial size tins.  Sure, you can ask for a raincheck for the tins but they’re excluded from the ECB promotion so you won’t receive the ECBs for the tins.

Nivea $2 ECB (excludes trial and gift sets)

    • Martha Thomas

This deal is no longer working.  It worked this morning (around 7:40) but not this evening (6:30).

    • Couponeagle11

Check your cvs to see if they have charmin on clearnace I got the big 16 rolls you know the ones that go on sale for 9.99 well these were 7.00 a piece not apart of gas card. But even if you get ecbs for it its still the same price when on sale for 10.00

    • Emily Amberson

My CVS did not carry Cortaid so they let me substitute any anti-itch cream and get up to 5.99 off. So I bought the CVS Anti-Itch cream for 5.49 and now I only need to spend 1.51 to get 3 ECB back! So basically I will make 1.49.

    • jen m

I got the cortaid coupon but it is 6.49 at my store but still only .49 so good.  The cashier would not take my 1 off coupon with it saying there would be overage and since coupon did not say on it that it could be price adjusted he could not take it.

      • andi330

CVS policy on this is to reduce the amount of the coupon. The times I have had coupons with overage, the computer appeared to do it automatically, without requiring input from the cashier. Make sure to take a copy of the company’s coupon policy with you when you shop, so that you can show the cashier, and if they still argue, politely ask to speak with a manager.

    • Betty D

At Lutz CVS:  no Cortaid cpn; no Nivea tins; no peelies on the Physician’s Formula.  This is the 2nd time I’ve tried the CVS deals shown on SS and it didn’t work.  New to couponing — hope this isn’t indicative of how it always is!  Also, when I scanned my card, it only gave 2 cpns and would not allow a 2nd scan.  Same with my husband’s card (different #).

      • Judi

Don’t give up.  I remember feeling the same way when I first started, it took me a good six months to learn and I steal learn things often after  couponing two years now.  Not all deals work out for me, but the ones that do are worth  sorting thru everything.. Reading these comments taught me alot.  When I didn’t know what the comment was talking about, I would watch Jennys videos until I got it. You will get it the more you try. HTH

        • Betty D

Thanks Judi!  Guess I’m just frustrated at being a newbie and feel like I’m the only one being a bad shopper.

        • Betty D

Andi & Judi:  YEA!!  Success today.   Scored 8 eyeshadows and 4 shampoos; total was $36.33 after sale prices – less my cpns, my oop was $16.60.  Then I got a $10 gas card and I still have a $10 makeup rebate coming; total is free products plus add’l $4 from rebate!!  Looking forward to becoming better at this — this feels great!  Husband and my mom were both impressed!

Don’t give up. The drugstore games can pay off better than anything in terms of free or +profit sales, but they can also be the most frustrating, especially for things like this where it was unadvertised, or came out of the magic coupon machine. Not all coupons are the same at every store for the machine so when you see something like this for the machine, certainly try for it, but don’t be too upset if you don’t get it. I didn’t get the cortaid either. Another thing with these unadvertised deals. Once they hit the internet, they go fast. Check with your store on when they get deliveries. I know mine gets a truck on Fridays, so if they are out earlier in the week, you can stop in on the day the truck comes in. Unadvertised deals like this generally don’t get rainchecks, either. However, if it is an advertised deal and the store is out, you can get a raincheck and they will still give you the ECBs unless the advert specifically states no rainchecks. If your coupons are in danger of expiring, ask the manager if they will make an exception and accept the expired coupons with the raincheck within a specific number of days. This is completely up to the manager and many will likely say no, but some may agree and add a note to the raincheck stating as much.

        • Betty D

Thanks!  I appreciate all the advice!

Nivea deal didn’t work in Newberry CVS.

    • Waldenuga

Last night, the magic coupon center printed out a $15 off any $15 physicians formula face care purchase.  The facial care is regularly $19.99 each, but was on sale for $7.99.  I got $40 worth of eye cream for $1!!!!!!!

    • Judi

I went inCVS and there were two sizes of the Nivea tins.  The only one left said travel size (1 oz.) the other box which was empty, was (.84 oz) and I think it was the one giving the two ECB, and that maybe why some people did not get ECB.  I started to get the last one, but I didn’t think it was the right one so I left the little fellow on the shelf.

      • mel

Mine were 1oz and i got the ecb. this was the day it was posted though and others say it isnt working anymore

        • Judi

Oh no.  The only one left was the  1 oz and I walked away and left it.  I could have had at least one. oh well maybe I will be lucky next time.

    • Angela golobay

I tried the Nivea tin last night and the Extrabucks didn’t print (in MS), and it did 2 days ago, so I gues they did fix that where it wouldn’t print anymore.  Also FYI, if your CVS is out of Cortaid or doesn’t carry it like mine, you can get the 1 oz. Cortizone 10 creme and the coupon will work no problem.  It is $5.99 so the coupon went through without beeping and he put in $5.99.  Also the gas card scenario carries on through the week even though the ad may change mid week.

    • Jessicaf

I got 40 Physicians Formula Makeup; 6 Tides , 6 Pantene Shampoo paid 2.54 oop, i had 40 3.00 coupons for the PH , got 6 Shell gas cards  great trip

The CVS at 3700 Two Notch in Columbia, SC is not giving 2ECB on the
      Nivea Creme Tins.

My CVS is starting to get really aggrevated with all the coupons that my friends and I are using!  They act like it’s a super problem to scan a coupon and if there is a problem with it they get all ill and I have seen them make a embarrassing scene.  What do you recommend we do?

      • mamad

call their manager and that doesn’t help, call the corporate and give them the manager’s name and their employees names too.  next time they do that again, call the corporate and ask why the problem is not solved? give them your best complaint ever.

    • Mahrobertson763

I only got a free sample size coupon for Salma Hayek hair care item.

    • AngelBelleM

Hey everyone, I got one of those emails from CVS that says to link your card to a CVS account that you can create online. Is the account free? I ask because it mentions charges when you read the terms and conditions…or are they implying buying items online through your account when they mention charges? Thanks!
