      great

    • 5higgins

wonder if there will be any left at my cvs tomorrow???  I could use some, the grays just seem to multiply like crazy!

    • Jcislife

i tried to use these for the $10 deal, but the register wouldn’t count them towards the $25.  There’s a label that clearly says “does not include clearance items” right on the shelf.  Sorry but this isn’t part of the deal.  Still a great deal!!

      • Bow-tie

must be your area cause I bought 16 bottles  today and used qs spent $.52 + tax and got my $10 ecb

        • Jcislife

apparently – i’m in dayona beach fl

        • Tala

What color did you buy? I am looking for redish

      • Kim

You are right. It shouldn’t work. The ad says excludes clearance items. Most people don’t read the fine print and Cvs must have forgot to make them not work. They obviously planned for it not to work by saying that in their ads. Someone just slipped up I guess.

        • Sheila0304

i agree also. i don’t think they should count and you wouldn’t find people buying so many just to get the rewards. There are
other things that can be purchased or full priced items and use coupons. That would  leave some for others!

    • Rebadarlene

i couldnt find the 5/2 loreal or the 2.15 off powerball

    • Just4yall

When I went there where 2 tags one for weekly 1 for monthly. I think it might be counting for the monthly. I couldn’t do the deal because inserts did not have them but the N&O had them but I only for 3 of those. BTW the deal I was talking about is the Preference. They are/were 75% off so less then $3 w/ $3 coupon makes them free. So can possibly make $10 also got a couple of the natural instincts. MM deal on those too. So glade this deal came around. A lot of them where Red and that is the only color I dye my hair and I was down to one box

    • Migalie13

Did this deal today and it worked toward the ECB. So I got 14 bottles on clearence equalling $27. Used five $5/2 and four $2/1. Got the $10 ECB back. Really great deal.

      • Jcislife

I’m glad the deal worked for you, but fair warning – a lot of people on this site (including me) will consider buying 14 boxes at 1 time “shelf clearing”.  Not trying to start a debate, just letting you know that post won’t be seen as a positive thing buy a lot of people.

        • Jcislife

          *by

        • Kelly

If you have to get that many for a deal, I don’t see an issue. If she has bought 28, then I can see that being shelf clearing. Since she had to buy enough to get over the $25 mark I don’t see an issue.

          • Alegna

its about being considerate of customers who may want a box or two that they will actually use, thats the issue.

            • Always_3xa_lady

so say there is 6 on the shelf and she HAS to buy 6 to make the deal that she had already planned ahead of time and she drove all the way to the store ONLY for those 6 boxes. so is that shelf clearing when there were only 6 to begin with?

            • Pinkchick82686

I do not think so.  I cannot stand the show on TLC and those ppl buy 300 toothbrushes.  I try very hard to leave items on the shelf, but I have been known to buy the last of something, not the last 15 or 20 but the last 2-4.

            • Sheila0304

I AGREE. Some people only want one or two at a great price and of course there will be none. Please be considerate people. I love getting a great deal too,  but really……14 boxes at one time????

      • guest

I always wondered who it was that went through the CVS before me and emptied out all of the sale items.  I guess you needed 14 bottles of hair color.

        • MIgalie13

A note to the above comment and ALEGNA above this one and anyone else who wants to make a negative comment.
If I may correct your snotty comments above. Let me just tell YOU how my shopping day at CVS went. After driving to the first CVS while lugging my tow kids around, I arrived to find that one or more couponers had been there before me. So there was only one bottle of hair color left. So, ummmm, my bad I guess I cleared the shelf there because there was only one bottle left. I guess I should have been more considerate to the couponer that was going to come after me and left that one bottle for them as to not clear the shelf. I’m such a jerk! The second CVS I went to, again lugging both kids into, had only two bottle left. Oh my, my bad again, I bought those two bottle. Sorry I cleared that shelf. I’m so inconsiderate. Third one had none left at all. Until I got smart and started to look at which color numbers were clearanced. I happened to find some that got mixed in with the others and they were on clearance. I figured since it was my third CVS and I took the time to search through all the bottles while my kids sat patiently that it was only fair that I get to buy them. Some other couponer had already cleared the visible ones before I got there. So by this time my kids were starting to get fussy. One more CVS to go and I would get my deal. Forth one and there were 3-4 left on the shelf, well I only needed two to complete my deal and get the $10. So guess what I bought two out of the 3-4 left. No I didn’t clear the shelve there, I thought I would be a little more considerate this time. So since I visited 4 CVS’s yesterday just to get a free deal and $10 back with a 1 and 3 year old in tow I am going to give myself a pat on the back if that is okay with all you negative commenters.
You know I hate it when I go into a store and everything is gone. But I don’t think in any way what I did by buying 14 bottles was negative, I put the work in. You nasty negative people need to learn to shut your mouths before you make comments. So sorry I didn’t explain the whole story before you posted your nastiness. Its people like you that should be ashamed. P.S. Thanks to the ones who stood up for what I did in your comments below. You def. have a glass full attitude. Keep couponing fun and your heads up! J

          • guest

Couponing isn’t going to stay fun if we, and I mean we, keep clearing store owners shelves.  Enjoy your deal…….and your 14 bottles of hair color.

      • alegna

So I guess there isn’t anything left for anyone else huh? If you colored your hair once a month for a year you wouldnt use all that…I’m sorry but that is just greedy!

        • Adrianna

WOW….. I am SOOO tired of people whining about “shelf clearing”, If you wanted it, why didn’t you get up right away and go get it? And if you couldn’t because of work/kids/etc. that is not that poster’s problem…she is not obligated to “leave some” for anyone else. What if CVS said, we are giving a door prize to the first 10 people in the store starting at 8 am, would you complain about not getting a prize if you strolled in at two? Why should she not reap the benefit of getting there and making a deal? I bought as many as I had to in order to make the ECB’s print out, and you know what, I only wanted the overage to put with a $5 coupon off of Enfamil so that my kid could eat. If you just want a free hair color, then I personally will send you one, but don’t bash others without knowing their reasons or motives. Just SAYING.

    • Kristina Akins

ooooh!  Can’t wait to go tomorrow and see if there’s any left!!!

    • Anonymous

Does having prescriptions filled at CVS earn any ECBs?

      • Kianarae

        I believe so.

      • Products81

I think you actually earn more ecbs back quartly, like instead of 2% every $1, for everything else in store..on pharmacy you get x2 on every refill or order like the $1 will be $2 on pharmacy order/refill at 2% ecb will be given at end of each quarter, oops i think i repeated myself :)..if im not mistaken.but you can always ask in person, im not 100 % sure though

    • Ryansmom

I got 3 boxes of Clariol hair color marked down to 2.44 each, had a $1 off coupon, paid $6.80 oop, and then got back $6 ECB’s!! :) Hope everyone finds some great deals!!

      • Sheila0304

why did you get the 6ecb?

    • Jessdare101

Does anyone know how much the shampoo on clearance is? There are coupons in dec. 4 rp.

      • tocpy

        I saw them $4.99 with 50% off.

    • momofcrazypants

Ha Jenny. You’re the best! Will check this out today!

    • Los Cuponeros

Hello Jenny! In my Cvs, I’ve scored even better with the Loreal Root Rescue! It ring up to 1.99 , used the 2.00 off….so snag it free! Sweet

    • Andi Ortega87

I bought 15 boxes yesterday. John Frieda, Clariol & Loreal.  I Paid $1.08 OOP & got back $12ecb =] I’m stocked now! lol

      • Cappstobias92

HOW DID YU GET THE JOHN FRIEDA

    • Woodscloset

Woohoo!  12 boxes of Loreal color for $0.98 OOP and 10 ECB’s back on top of that!!!!!

    • Jane

So the ECBs actually printed for you guys? I’m just confused because the ad clearly states, “excludes clearance items” and where it talks about getting ECBs back for purchasing Loreal it says, “cannot be combined with any other offer.”

Did the cashier give anyone problems? Is there something I’m missing?

      • mirwin888

The ECB’s printed for me as well.  The system may not have pushed the clearance UPC’s out of their system, which is why we are getting them.  YEAH!!!  I am SO stocked up now!!

        • Jane

I see. I didn’t end up doing it. I want to have a clear conscience I guess. I believe in obeying the rules of couponing.

          • Kay

That is the store printing them…not the customer deceiving!  Isn’t it possibloe that those were actually part of the deal rather than she was violating some rules?  Just saying…

            • Jane

Uhm. No. They are clearance items. Says so everywhere and the ad says (found in the store and online that it excludes items). Just because something works doesn’t mean it’s right. Not trying to start a debate, just wanting to encourage couponers to abide by the rules. As if we aren’t looked down upon enough already..

            • Renata

In my store, the exclude clearance tag was replaced/covered up with a new tag stating that all L’oreal hair care items were included in the ECB deal. The manager stated that it was a typo in the circular when i asked him about it. I wanted to make sure it was ok to use the coupons and recieve the deals. So it doesnt hurt to ask your manager at your store.

      • Anonymous

I found the L’Oreal Root Rescue for $1.99 I got it all free and received the $10 ECB.

    • sunset

      Which shampoos are 50-75% off?

    • Kellyy643

Those coupons wernt in my 1/1 red plums…anyone know why?

    • WYLIMOM

Our store only had clairol on clearance but still a good deal

    • Amber, NC

I went to CVS not expecting to find any left but I was shocked to see so many different hair colors for 75% off. The shampoo isn’t on clearance but does qualify for ECBs, so you could probably buy a combination of products and still get everything for free.
I got just enough hair color for the $10 ECBs to print.

      10 boxes @ about 2.60 each = $26

      -$3 coupons (x4)

      -$5/2 coupons (x3)

      = FREE

      Then I received a $10 ECB.

    • wendy n.

Our CVS had the Root Rescue on clearance for $1.94.  bought 2 for free with overage…funny that I found the $2 off coupon for it @ Walgreens on a tearpad in the hair products section by the hair color!!! (my quick trip included a 12 pk. of coca cola, 2 aerated Hershey candy bars w/ a bogo coupon, plus the 2 boxes of Loreal Root rescue w/ 2 $2 off coupons and a $3 ECB…total OOP $1.98 making it approx. $.40 for each item!!!!

    • OK LETS BE NICE 2EACH OTHER..because we are all couponers and its sad to me that it seems that non-couponer have turned on us with even knowing anything about us so lets stand together and love&help each other.I know b4 I started couponing and started our family when I saw something I wonted I got it even if I it was 10 out of  the only 10 left, but now we are all friends&couponer.I only shared this becuse we are”couponers&friends” right?

      • Debmcmanus

I have to add that not only do non couponers dislike us because of some cleaning off the shelves. Most of us don’t approve of it.It’s just plain disrespectful to others.Personally I just can’t behave that way and feel OK about it.If there is a situation where there is a REAL NEED then I guess it would be not so bad.Bottom line, treat others with respect, you may not save as much at that moment but it will pay off in the long run.

    • Malissa

My CVS in Richmond Hill. Ga won’t let me use coupons on these clearance items. Are they correct???

    • Darkstar1485

SHELF CLEARING….. HMMM… i mean, if its a staple grocery item like bread, eggs, milk, meat.. toliet paper, diapers, baby food… etc  basic food or grocery NEEDS then shelf clearing is selfish if youre only going to store it for a year.. a person shouldnt have to go to 5 stores to find milk or cereal for their family. HAIR COLOR is a luxury item. you dont need it. get over yourself. i went to 4 different CVS to find NOTHING. i finally went to CVS #5 and bought all they had.  SURE DID. all 31 of them. If you wanted free hair color you shouldve gotten there early. i didnt complain about there not being any left for me at CVS 1-4. ya snooze ya loose. thats the couponing game.  period. i’m reselling these to pay for nursing school books. with diligent couponing, and patience i was able to find and sell them and make a SUPER profit. shelf clearing is annoying, but im not going to leave something for someone else if i can get it for free. and its not NEED. that’s just foolish. i took the time to drive all over to find them and you didnt. too bad.

      • Helnf20217

You must not like yourself very much to respond so rudely. 31 is GREED whether it’s a needed item or not. I have been couponing for 32 years and never have I cleared out the shelf. That action is inconsiderate and stores should not allow it. I raised my family on poverty wages (after their Father died young suddenly) and coupons helped greatly. However, I realized there may be others who needed “the help” too, so I left some for them. Some people can’t get there “early” for various reasons (including health, age, transportation, etc.)  Over the years, I have learned the way a couponer uses or abuses coupons is a good signal on how they live the rest of their life.

    • Kellypup

I was sad to see that all of the hair color was gone at My CVS too. I wouldn’t have sold them for a bigger profit, my daughter would have used it. I may try another CVS but I’m afraid they’ll be out too. What I don’t agree on is people using multiple CVS cards, that’s just wrong

    • Anonymous

I just read all these coments and wow,,you guys ragging on each other and complaining well you know it gonna happen,if you get there first then you will get it,so really why complain about something that has been happening for a long time and will continue to happen, why dont you go to E bay and check the listings for all thethings you can get for free with coupons, and see just what really happens and then change your search to within 20 miles of your zip code and you will truely see whay theres never nothing left when you get to the store

    • Cindilovesavon

I got all of mine last week when I just happened to stop in on my way to work.  I saw the clearance tabs and went back out and got my coupon binder/book.  Got lots of goodies too.  My teenage daughter loves to color her hair about twice a month so it was well worth $5 for 5 of the dyes.
